Imee's POV
Our 3 months Medical Mission in this province is done. Ang bilis, parang kelan lang kadarating lang namin dito eh and tomorrow we're leaving. Well, supposedly kahapon pa sana kami bumalik sa Manila but the thing is Mr. and Mrs. Enriquez ask Dr. Francisco na wag muna coz they prepared early dinner for us bilang pasasalamat daw sa naitulong namin dito sa bayang ito.
Mr. Enriquez: So paano kayo uuwi bukas, Dr. Chavez?
Imee: May susundo po sa amin, Mayor.
Mrs. Enriquez: Basta kung may problema tawagan niyo lang kami, Doc.
Imee: Noted, Doc (then smile)
Samantha: Ahm, I know it's not final yet but is it true that we're going to conduct medical mission na here every year, Doc? (Referring to Mrs. Enriquez)
Mrs. Enriquez: Yes, Doc. But don't worry hindi na ganito katagal.
Mr. Enriquez: Yeah, actually we're planning na one month nalang and hopefully next year eh pumunta po ulit kayo especially you, Dr. Chavez.
Imee: O-of course, Mayor. Makakaasa po kayo next year, nandito po ako ulit kasama ng mga bagong Doctor mula sa Manila.
Mr. Enriquez: Maraming salamat, Doc.
Our conversation goes on until Mr. and Mrs. Enriquez excuse themselves dahil kailangan din nilang pasalamatan ang mga ibang Doctor mula sa ibang mga lugar.
While having funny conversation with my team my phone vibrates so I immediately check who's the sender and it's Rod.
From Rod:
Love, aalis muna ako ha? Basta tawagan mo nalang ako kapag gusto mo ng umuwi.
After reading his message, I look around and good thing he waved his hands ng dahilan para makita ko siya agad so I immediately walk towards him. He hold my waist and smile so I smile back.
Rod: Basta tawagan mo nalang ako love kapag gusto mo ng umuwi ha?
Imee: So iiwan mo ako?
Rod: Hi-hindi naman sa ganon love (then caressed Imee's hair) It's just that I have to finish my remaining plate lang para bukas maipapakita ko na agad kay Dad pag-uwi natin sa Manila.
I just gave him a smirk and look away which made him chuckled.
Rod: Okay, okay. Mamaya na ako uuwi. Hihintayin nalang kita.
Imee: Gabi na, hindi mo man lang ba ako pipilitin umuwi? (Look at Rod and crossed her arms)
Rod: Bakit ko naman gagawin yun kung alam kong nag-eenjoy ka pa dito?
When Rod tell those words, he gave me his sweetest smile but I frown in return. Tsk! Nakakainis eh. This man really sets my standard higher again.
Rod: Oh why frowning, my love? Go na, don't worry about me. Okay lang ako dito. Balik ka na doon mukhang masaya yung kwentuhan niyo nila Stephen eh basta wag lalapit kay Harris ha? Ayoko (then shook his head)
Imee: Ilan pa bang plates ang gagawin mo?
Rod: Isa nalang, love.
Imee: Anong oras na ba?
When I ask Rod, he look at his wristwatch at pagtaas niya kaunti ng polo sleeves niya a smile automatically formed on my face coz he's using the wristwatch that I gave him on his birthday.
Rod: 7:06pm palang, love. Maaga pa naman so have fun muna. Hahablutin nalang kita kapag late na talaga (then laugh)
Imee: Oh tapos aabutin ka na naman ng umaga para lang tapusin yung plano, ganon?
Rod: So? Wala namang kaso sakin yun love eh.
Imee: Sayo wala, sakin meron!
Rod: Bakit?
Imee: Tsk! Wait for me here, magpapaalam lang ako.
Rod: Love you don't ha—
Imee: I said wait for me here, naintindihan mo?
Rod: O-okay.
I turn back and immediately walk towards my team. Nagpaalam lang ako ng maayos then agad ko ng nilapitan sina Mr. and Mrs. Enriquez. At first they ask me to stay a little longer but I refuse. I heard Dr. Lifevré call my name but I didn't bother to look at him. I just pretend na wala akong narinig at agad ko ng pinuntahan si Rod.
Imee: Let's go na, love.
Rod: You sure? Ma-maaga pa, love. Pwede ka pang mag—
Imee: Ayokong mapuyat ka kaya tara na, love. Bumalik na tayo sa resort. Besides masakit na din 'tong paa ko.
Rod: Huh? S-Sandali may slippers ako sa sasakyan. Dito ka lang muna, kukunin ko lang.
Imee: Wag na, kaya ko pa naman tiisin.
As I tell those words, he just smile then grab his suit. While walking papunta sa parking area, hindi maalis-alis yung mga ngiti niya. Tsk! Mukhang baliw kaya inalis ko ang pagkakahawak niya sa kamay ko then shook my head. That made him laugh kaya agad niya akong inakbayan.
Rod: Love?
Imee: Ano?
Rod: What if magpatayo na ako ng sarili kong firm?
Imee: Huh?
Rod: I have enough money, love. Tsaka pwede ko namang kunin sila Franky sa firm ni Dad eh. I'm sure Dad won't mind it.
Imee: Magiging competitor mo lang si Tito, love. Wag na, okay?
Rod: Bakit wala ka bang tiwala sakin, Lizzy? (Look at Imee)
Imee: Anong klaseng tanong naman yan, Rod? Of course meron noh! It's just that, you and your Dad were on the same field kaya instead na magpatayo ka ng sarili mong firm, bakit hindi ka nalang bumili ng shares sa kanya? And tulungan mo siyang makilala pa lalo ang firm niyo not just here in the Philippines, dapat worldwide love. Make your firm an empire Rod, besides sayo din naman mapupunta yung firm na yun eh. Kaya ano pang point ng pagpapatayo mo if in less than 10 years, eh sayo din naman mapupunta lahat?
Rod: Less than 10 years? Grabe love, parang pinapatay mo na si Dad ah (then laugh).
When Rod laugh, I pushed him a little and gave him a death stare.
Imee: Anong pinapatay?! Of course not! What I mean is syempre he's getting old na, alangan namang at the age of 65 eh nagtatrabaho pa din siya? Dapat hindi na noh! Dapat ang ginagawa nalang niya eh namamasyal kasama ni Tita (then rolled her eyes)
Rod: Masyadong seryoso ang mahal ko (laugh slightly)
As Rod tell those words, I didn't bother to speak so he placed his suit on shoulder coz he notice na medyo nilalamig ako. I'm wearing black dress kasi that show off my back.
We reach the resort nearly 8pm. Hinatid niya lang ako at agad na siyang pumunta sa room niya. I remove my makeup first using wipes then immediately took a bath. I wore comfy sleepwear and as usual, did my night routine.
I am now lying on the bed and facing the ceiling. I checked what time is it and it's currently 8:43pm. Maaga pa pala so I grab my phone and head to Rod's room. When I knock, he said "come in" so I open the door then enter his room.
Rod: Pwede bang pakisend sakin yung ginawa ni Angelo, Franky. Yung ni-reject ni Dad ha para alam ko kung anong mga dapat palitan.
When Rod tell those words, I silently laugh. Ang akala niya siguro si Franky ang kumatok kaya hindi niya pinagbuksan ng pinto eh.
Rod: Please pakitanong nga din pala si Angelo kung nakausap na niya si Ms. Zoe kasi baka mamaya may invoice na namang dumating sa kanya.
While Rod tell those words ginagawa na din niya ang plano. I know he was about to speak pa sana but he was shock coz I hug him from the back.
Imee: Noted po, Architect (then smile)
He put down the pen and faced me. He caressed my hair and kissed my forehead.
Rod: Sorry love, akala ko si Franky eh.
Imee: Okay lang...So can I stay here muna?
Rod: Of course! Oo naman, mahal.
I gave him a cheek kiss and told him to continue his plate para matapos na agad besides sabi niya konti lang naman daw ang kailangang palitan.
While waiting for him to finish that plate, I order some food dahil medyo gutom ako and I've decided to watch some movie muna. Pamatay oras lang dahil hindi naman pwedeng istorbohin ko siya noh! Ilang beses din pumunta dito si Franky just to show some designs pero this man keep on rejecting kaya medyo naiinis na siya.
I checked what time is it and it's currently 10:03pm. Tapos na din yung movie na pinapanood ko at hanggang ngayon hindi pa din tapos si Rod sa ginagawa niya. Hayst! I'm bored rn and hindi pa din naman ako inaantok so I've decided to look for some book pero wala akong makita. By the time he stood up doon na ako lumapit and ask if he has a book. Good thing meron kaya hiniram ko muna.
*Kinaumagahan
I woke up because of the sun rays coming from the window and as I open my eyes I was shock coz I am now lying on the bed samantalang si Rod nakatulog sa couch. I shook my head and immediately get up. I walk towards him and kneel down.
Imee: Love, wake up.
He didn't move at halatang napakahimbing pa din ng tulog niya. I was about to grab some pillow but then again I realise na siguro napuyat siya so I sigh at hinayaan ko nalang muna siyang matulog. Habang pinagmamasdan ko siya, I smile and run my fingers through his hair. "Anong oras ka ba natapos kagabi? Sorry nakatulog ako, love."
I was about to leave pero naisip ko na baka mag-alala 'to kapag nagising at nakita niyang wala na ako dito so I've decided na mag-iwan nalang ng sulat para paggising niya, alam niya agad kung saan ako nagpunta.
Rod's POV
As I woke up, bumungad sakin ang isang papel na nakalagay sa mesa kaya agad akong bumangon para basahin ito.

A smile automatically formed on my face when I read that letter. "I didn't know ganto ka pala maging girlfriend, love. I love you too, my Doctor. I'm so lucky to have you."
I was about to get up but I heard someone says "Yes, place it here nalang. Ako ng bahala, salamat". Boses palang kilala ko na so I placed the paper on the table again at nagkunwaring tulog pa. I heard the door open then after a second, parang naramdaman kong umupo siya sa harap ko.
Imee: Tulog pa din? Anong oras ka ba kasi natulog kagabi ha? Ayan tuloy, puyat na puyat ka. Paano nalang kung late na tayo umuwi kagabi? Edi siguro hanggang ngayon gumagawa ka pa din ng plano!
She run her fingers through my hair and bring his nose closer to mine.
Imee: Napaka-arte kasi. Papalit-palit ng design, oh eh ano ka ngayon? Tulog na tulog, hayst!
I felt when she kiss my forehead. Since medyo maingay siya I move a little, take a short and sudden breathe so that she won't notice na gising na ako. Just like normal actions lang everytime nakatulog tayo.
Imee: Sana naman sa mahimbing na pagtulog mo ngayon eh napapanaginipan mo ako noh kasi ako araw-araw kitang napapanaginipan, love. Hindi ko man sinasabi pero that's the reason why I was able to start my day ng masaya...You made me the happiest, Mr. Laurel. Mahal kita mula noon hanggang ngayon...I-I hate to admit it pero pati na din nung inaaway kita (giggled) Inis lang ako sayo dati love pero mahal kita.
While she tell those words, halos mamatay ako saya at kilig. Jusko! Hirap na hirap akong magpanggap dito. Siguro nga sobrang pula na ng pisngi ko eh dahil sa mga sinasabi niya pero sana hindi niya ito mahalata.
After a second, I felt she bring her face closer to mine then kiss the tip of my nose. To be honest, I was praying na sana halikan niya ako sa labi and guess what! It happened, she kiss my lips and she was shock when I kiss her back. Her eyes widen when I open my eyes.
Rod: Good morning, love (then smile)
Imee: Kanina ka pa gising?!
I didn't speak, I simply get up and wink.
Imee: Answer me, Roderick Lucas! Kanina ka pa ba gising? (Then sit beside Rod)
Rod: Yes, love.
I chuckled and that made her cover her face. Agad din namula yung ilong at pisngi niya eh so that means nahiya siya. I was about to speak but she told me to head to the powder room immediately and fix myself kasi kakain na kami.
Habang kumakain kami, palagi siyang umiiwas sa mga tingin ko, nahiya nga ata talaga. Silence hit us for like a couple of minutes so I've decided to break it.
Rod: Love?
She didn't speak, she just gave me a questioned look and continue to eat.
Rod: Anong oras tayo aalis?
Imee: Mamaya, pagkatapos natin kumain magbibihis na ako.
Rod: Okay, eh yung team mo?
Imee: Umalis na sila kanina pang 7 pero si Stephen naiwan pa, sasabay daw satin.
Rod: Ano?! Bakit?
Imee: Eh late nagising eh kasi 2am na daw sila umuwi kagabi.
Rod: Ah okay.
She's serious right now at habang nag-uusap kami hindi niya ako tinitignan so I've decided to tease her.
Rod: Why so serious, love? Sabihin mo nga ulit yung mga sinabi mo kanina.
Imee: Tsk! Tumigil ka nga. Kumain ka nalang, pwede? (Then rolled her eyes)
Rod: Finally, after 2 months nahalikan na ulit kita (then laugh)
Imee: Che!
Rod: So maghihintay ba ulit ako ng 2 months, love?
Imee: Anong 2 months?! Kota ka na, nakailang halik ka na sakin, tamana muna.
Rod: Luh! Apat na beses pa nga lang eh tsaka puro smack lang naman yun. Hindi man lang nagtagal. Kung alam ko lang sana pala sinulit ko na kanina.
Imee: Tsk!
Rod: Next year yari ka sakin, Mrs. Laurel.
She frown and didn't bother to speak up. But seriously, humanda ka talaga sakin love kapag kinasal na tayo. Hindi mo ako madadaan sa kasungitan mo HAHAHA.
It took us half an hour to finish our breakfast then after that I told her to go back to her room na and get change. Ako na ang bahala dito besides mas matagal naman siyang magpalit kaysa sa akin eh.
As I went out of the bathroom, I immediately head to the closet room and choose some outfit. I wore simple yet clean looking outfit. Nag-ayos na din ako dito sa kwarto para pag-alis ko hindi nakakahiya sa mga staff. Diniretso ko din muna ang mga luggage ko sa sasakyan bago puntahan si Imee coz I'm sure ako ang magbubuhat ng mga gamit niya.
I knocked multiple times but no one speak so I tried to open and as usual, good thing hindi nakalock. As I enter her room bumungad agad sakin ang tatlong luggage niya and after a second, lumabas na din siya mula sa closet room.
Rod: Let's go, love?
Imee: Yes, love.
Rod: Wala ka ng naiwan?
Imee: Wala na.
Rod: Okay.
Imee: Wait, sigurado ka ba talagang uuwi ka na din? Hindi ka ba kailangan dito?
Rod: Tapos ko ng gawin yung plano, love. Besides bumalik na din yung dating CE and Architect dito so that means pwede na akong umalis.
Imee: Sure?
Rod: Yes, love. You know what, that's one of the perks of being a son of the owner of a firm (then wink)
Imee: Naks!
She laugh so I did the same. But it's true, I'll visit nalang siguro once or twice a month para masiguradong nasusunod ang plano ko.
I was the one who carry her 2 luggage and ask one staff to carry the other one because I can't let Lizzy carry anything that is so heavy. Ayokong mahirapan noh! Mas mabuti pang ako nalang ang mahirapan wag lang siya.
When we reach the parking area, we saw Stephen standing infront of my car already. I just simply shook my head and said "Bakit ba kasi nagpaiwan ka pa? May sagabal pa tuloy, Hayst! (In his mind)"
While driving Imee and I keep on talking about random things then after a second we were shock coz Stephen scream. Lizzy even rolled her eyes and look back.
Imee: Ano bang problema mo?!
Stephen: Paalala ko lang may kasama kayo dito ha? Wag niyo naman masyadong ipamukha sakin na mag-isa ako.
Imee: Tsk! Well, it's not our problem anymore, sumabay ka eh edi mamatay ka jan sa inggit.
Rod: True! (Then laugh)
Stephen: Ay Imee, alam mo ba yang si Architect sinigawan ako niyan.
Rod: Sinigawan? Kelan naman?
Stephen: Oo kaya! Nung hinahanap mo siya, remember? Sabi mo pa nga "Could you please tell me where is she?!" ganon. Grabe ka, makasigaw ka naman akala mo girlfriend mo na siya noon (then rolled his eyes)
As Stephen put his glasses on, Lizzy look at me habang nagpipigil ng tawa.
Imee: is it true, love?
Rod: Ah eh, yeah. Eh kasi naman nag-alala ako sayo noon, love.
Stephen: Tapos nung sinabi kong hindi ko alam, sinigawan niya ulit ako. Sabi niya "So are you saying na nawawala siya?!" Tapos yung tingin jusko! Mukhang kami ni Sam yung may kasalanan eh.
Rod: Sorry na, Stephen (chuckled)
Stephen: HAHAHA okay lang, naikwento ko lang naman.
Lizzy gave me a smirk so kiss her hand then smile.
Stephen: Saksakan kayo ng kalandian ha! Hoy Imee, It didn't even cross my mind na ganyan ka pala kapag nagkaroon ng boyfriend ha.
Imee: Che! Manahimik ka nga kapag inggit, pikit!
As Imee tell those words, she move closer and rest her head on my shoulder. I know she's not comfortable so I move closer to her as well. I look at Stephen from the rear-view mirror at sakto namang kumunot ang noo niya. I know Lizzy did that para lang inisin siya kaya sinakyan ko na. I kissed her hair and focused on the road.
It's already 11am and Lizzy told me na gutom na daw siya pati na din si Stephen. Since madaming tao sa mga restaurants, she decided na magdrive thru nalang. We wait for like 10 minutes. I thought kakain muna kami bago magbyahe ulit but she told me na umalis na daw, siya na daw ang bahala.
While driving siya na ang naghawak ng pagkain ko. Sesh! Ang sarap pala sa feeling ng ganito.
Rod: Love, I'm thirsty.
Imee: Wait for a second, love.
Rod: Okay.
Imee: Here.
I was about to get it pero nilayo niya ito.
Imee: Ako na.
I just smile then let her hold my drinks.
Rod: Thank you, love.
Imee: Gusto mo pa ng chicken?
Rod: Yes, please.
Sa totoo lang, sobrang saya ko ngayon coz the girl I love for more than a decade was the one who's sitting beside me at siya pa mismo ang nagpapakain sakin. Napapaisip tuloy ako, siguro kung hindi nakisabay sa amin si Stephen, mas lalong sweet 'to sakin.
Imee: You want fries?
Rod: Sige, love.
Imee: What about burger, love? Gusto mo din?
Rod: Si-sige, love.
To be honest, I'm literally full pero I don't know kasi parang nawalan ako ng kakayahang tumanggi sa kanya eh. When I bite the burger she immediately get some tissue and wipe the sauce left on the side of my lips.
Imee: Para ka naman bata kumain, love.
Rod: Sinadya ko talaga yun para punasan mo.
Stephen: Hoy! Ang lalandi niyo, sobra na kayo! Respeto naman jan oh.
Imee: Sabi ko nga, mamatay ka sa inggit.
Lizzy and I laugh while Stephen breathe heavily and look away. Alam ko naman nagbibiro lang yun coz I notice that he keep on taking pictures of us ng palihim. For sure isesend niya na naman yan kay Sam tapos kawawa na naman ang Lizzy ko. Pagtutulungan na naman nilang asarin.
It's been an hour at medyo malayo pa kami sa Manila. I also notice na parang inaantok si Lizzy. I look at the rear-view mirror just to check on Stephen pero tulog na pala.
Rod: Love, I know you're sleepy. Matulog ka muna.
Imee: Hindi okay lang, itutulog ko nalang pagdating natin sa bahay (yawn)
Rod: See, come on love. Matulog ka na muna. I'll wake you up nalang pagdating natin sa bahay mo.
Imee: Sigurado ka?
Rod: Yeah.
Imee: Okay.
After a second, I've decided to stop the car muna and grab my jacket from the backseat. Medyo malamig so I let her use my jacket. I also move her seat backwards so that she can lean her back and sleep comfortable dahil mukhang aabutin pa kami ng dalawang oras.
One and a half hour has pass and malapit na kami sa bahay niya. Bumaba na din si Stephen sa hospital dahil doon naghihintay ang sundo niya. As we stop infront of her house, may nakita akong "For sale" na nakasulat sa bahay na katapat niya and that gave me an idea. "Ayos, hindi ko na kailangang magbyahe ng higit sa dalawang oras araw-araw (in his mind)"
After a second, I saw one of the their helpers went out of her house so I hopped out of the car and speak up.
Rod: Good afternoon po.
Helper 1: S-sir Rod? Kayo po yung boyfriend ni ma'am diba?
Rod: Yeah.
Helper 1: Nasa'n po si ma'am?
Rod: Nasa sasakyan pa po, tulog po eh.
Helper 1: Pakipasok nalang po ang sasakyan niyo sir.
I just nod and smile. As I parked my car at the garage, I immediately hopped out at binigay ko na sa helper niya lahat ng gamit niya. I carefully carry her and lay her on the bed. I also remove her shoes and turn on the aircon dahil pulang-pula na at sigurado akong sobrang naiinitan na siya.
As I went downstairs, I saw their helper na naghahanda ng meryenda kaya nilapitan ko na ito.
Helper 1: Ay sir, sandali nalang po ito.
Rod: Wag na po kayong mag-abala, hindi po ako gutom. (then smile)
Helper 1: Sigurado po kayo sir?
Rod: Opo.
Helper 1: Sige po, basta kapag nagutom po kayo o si ma'am pakisabi nalang po may pagkain dito sa ref.
Rod: Sige po.
Helper 1: Alis na po ako sir.
Rod: Huh? Ba-bakit po? Hindi ba kayo dito matutulog?
Helper 1: Hindi po sir, pinapapunta lang po ako dito ni Ma'am Maddison para maglinis tapos babalik din po ako sa bahay nila.
Rod: Ah okay, sige po. Mag-ingat po kayo.
As their helper left, I immediately open her fridge and check everything coz I'm planning to cook for our dinner pero walang stocks dito. I checked my wristwatch and 3pm palang. Since merong malapit na grocery malapit dito sa village, I decided to go out and buy something to cook.
It took me 45 minutes to buy some goods then after that I immediately wear some apron then started to cook. "Sisiguraduhin kong mas lalo mo akong mamahalin, Lizzy."
While cooking I was shock coz someone hug me from the back. I know mabango itong niluluto ko pero nangingibabaw pa din ang amoy ng perfume niya which gave me a sign that she's around.
Imee: I didn't know chef ka din pala, love.
I just smile and face her. She insisted na tutulong siya pero I didn't let her dahil gusto kong umupo at panoorin niya lang akong nagluluto kagaya ng ginawa niya dati.
Around 6pm, we had our early dinner dahil uuwi pa ako kila mommy and inform her about my plan na bilhin yung bahay sa tapat niya. To be honest, nakakapanibago dahil nasanay akong kasama at panoorin siya hanggang sa pagtulog.
Nang mailabas ko ang sasakyan, I immediately went out of my car and ran towards her.
Imee: Ano na naman? Umuwi ka na, love. Gabi na oh.
Rod: Parang ayokong umuwi, love.
Imee: Ayan ka na naman ha! Umuwi ka na, okay? Drive safely. You better call or text me pag nakauwi ka na.
Rod: Okay (then smile)
She smile back and was about to turn back but I hold her hand and hug her tight. Napabuntong hininga siya but in the end she don't have a choice kaya niyakap nalang din niya ako pabalik.
Rod: Ang hirap mong iwan lalo na't alam kong mag-isa mo lang dito, love.
Imee: I can take care of my self, Rod. Don't worry about me, okay? I am braver than you think.
After a second, she pulled out from the hug so I cupped her face and kiss her forehead.
Rod: Can I kiss you on —
Imee: No.
Rod: Please?
Imee: Mapilit ka talaga?
I simply nodded and gave her a silly smile.
Imee: Baka nakakalimutan mo the last time pumunta ka dito sa bahay eh umiyak ka, Mr. Laurel.
Rod: L-love, napakaseryoso mo talaga. Nagbibiro lang ako eh ( did a fake laugh coz he's nervous)
Imee: Gusto mo atang maulit eh (gave Rod a death stare and crossed her arms)
Rod: Sa-sabi ko nga, uuwi na ako. See you tomorrow, love.
Imee: Okay.
Rod: I love you. Wait for my call ha?
Imee: Okay.
Imee's POV
As I enter my house, nanibago ako agad kasi mag-isa ako ulit. This house is so quiet, walang makulit at magulo. Medyo matagal din akong hindi nakauwi dito so I guess, madaming kailangang i-check even though every week itong nalilinisan . I was about to get some cold water but my phone ring so I immediately answer it.
*On call
Imee: Yes, Gali?
Gab: Nakauwi ka na?
Imee: Yes, see you tomorrow.
Gab: Actually that's the reason kung bakit ako tumawag.
Imee: Why? (Confuse)
Gab: Wag ka munang pumasok, magpahinga ka muna besides Saturday naman bukas eh. Konti lang ang pasyente, ako na munang bahala.
Imee: Nakapagpahinga na ako kanina, Gali.
Gab: So? Edi magpahinga ka ulit. See you on Monday nalang.
Imee: Gabri—
Gab: Wag ka ng kumontra Ivy Maddison Elizabeth! Ayan ka naman eh.
Imee: K fine!
Gab: May gusto ka bang kainin ngayon, Gali? Just tell me kasi sigurado ako napurga ka sa mga pagkaing probinsya this past few months (then laugh)
Imee: For now, wala pa. Bakit?
Gab: W-Wala naman, natanong ko lang. Basta kapag may gusto ka sabihan mo lang ako ha?
Imee: Okay.
Gab: Goodnight, Gali.
Imee: Goodnight din.
I immediately ended the call then get some cold water kasi parang nanuyo ang lalamunan ko. Before going upstairs, I look for some book coz I'm not yet sleepy.
As I enter my room, I immediately put down all curtains and switch on the lamp. As usual everytime I read books hindi ko talaga namamalayan ang oras dahil muntik ko na naman itong matapos within an hour and a half.
I checked the clock and late na pala so I put index card on it para bukas alam ko kung saan ko sisimulan ulit. I was about to close my eyes but my phone ring kaya medyo nainis ako.

Imee: Alam mo ikaw, istorbo ka talaga. Matutulog na ako eh!
Rod: Just got home, love.
Imee: Agad?! Eh wala pa ngang dalawang oras eh. Siguro sobrang binilisan mo na naman yang pagmamaneho mo noh? Kapag ikaw talaga namatay, wag mokong madalaw-dalaw ha!
Rod: Grabe ka sakin, love. Hindi po kasi traffic that's why nakauwi ako agad.
Imee: K, Whatever! Anyway, inaantok na ako. I'll hang up na, okay?
Rod was about to speak but he saw me yawn kaya wala na siyang nagawa kundi pumayag nalang.
Rod: Okay. Goodnight, love.
Imee: Goodnight.
I know he was about to speak up again but I immediately ended the call then put it on my side table. I heard notifications but I didn't bother to check it kasi sigurado ako "I love you" lang ulit ang mababasa ko.
