CHAPTER 110

Rod's POV
I am now here in New York. I immediately booked a flight dahil hindi ako mapakali. Sa totoo lang ayaw akong payagan ni Mrs. Alvarez but Mom helped me.

Gab was the one who helped me para malaman kung saang specific place nagpunta sila Lizzy dito sa New York. He ask Dr. Francisco's wife personally dahil gusto niya din na magkaayos kami ni Lizzy.

First, pinuntahan ko ang hotel where in they choose to stay but sadly, they are not there. Second, I go to a location coz Gab send me a message but for a second time, hindi ko ulit sila naabutan.

While walking on pavements, I keep on checking my socmed accounts coz I'm hoping that Lizzy is active. Minutes had pass, umupo na muna ako coz I'm totally freezing. Medyo manipis kasi ang nakuha kong jacket kaya lamig na lamig ako.

It's been hour and while putting on my winter gloves, I saw a coffee shop that isn't far enough.

"Kung sinuswerte ka nga naman talaga oh. Jeezzz! Napakalamig naman pala dito. According to my research, summer eh pero bakit ganto? (In his mind)".

Before I stood up, inayos ko muna ang jacket ko and check all my personal belongings. I also turned off my phone and put it in my pocket.

Honestly, habang naglalakad ako papunta sa coffee shop, I saw a girl walking as well. And by the time, she fix her hair backwards halos maluha ako sa saya coz it's Lizzy. Seconds had pass, she smile which made me cry so I run towards her and hug her tight.

Rod: I'm sorry.

Her hugs becomes tighter so I did the same and kiss her temple.

Rod: I'm so sorry, love. I-I didn't mean those words. I love you.

We're now sobbing. Ayoko man ipakitang umiiyak ako sa kanya, pero wala eh. I can't stop myself from crying.

Rod: Please forgive me, Lizzy. I don't wanna lose you.

As I tell those words, she slowly pulled out from the hug and look directly into my eyes habang nakangiti. Jeezzz! Lalo akong na-guilty coz after all the pain I've cause her again, she still manage to smile.

Rod: I know the last time we talk, may mga nasabi akong hindi dapat. Nasaktan kita and I'm really sorry for the nth time, my love.

Imee: Tapos na yun. You are forgiven for the nth time, my love (her tears continues to fall)

Rod: I promise, it won't happen again. You have my words.

Lizzy simply nodded at agad ulit siyang yumakap sa akin.

Imee: Love?

Rod: Hmm?

Imee: Please spend the last three days with me?

That made me confuse so I wipe my tears and pulled out from the hug.

Rod: What? (Then wipe away Imee's tears)

Imee: H-hindi ka naman bingi diba?

Rod: (Chuckled) I got confuse lang. Why last three days, love?

Imee: K-kasi I still have three days to stay here kaya samahan mo ako. Nandito ka na nga, iiwan mo pa ba ako?

Rod: Of course not! Never, love...Never (then shook his head) I'll stay here. Kung saan ka, dapat doon din ako.

Imee: Dapat lang (then rolled her eyes)

That made me giggled. Namiss ko kasi ang pagiging masungit at pagtataray niya sakin eh. Yung tipong gustong magpalambing pero nagsusungit-sungitan HAHAH.

When our gaze locked, I held her waist closer to mine at unti-unti ko ding inilalapit ang mukha ko sa kanya. She even sigh deeply before closing her eyes which made me smile and seconds had pass, I close my eyes as well.

Sa totoo lang gusto kong magmura coz she slap my cheek playfully and as I open my eyes, I saw her laughing.

Imee: Napakaano mo talaga! Hindi ka ba pwedeng magpigil muna? Dito talaga?

Rod: Hayst! Love naman.

Imee: Tumigil ka. Pigilan mo muna. You can kiss me later naman eh.

Rod: Mamaya? Promise yan, love? (Smiling)

Imee: Oo! Kahit gaano pa katagal (rolled her eyes) You can kiss me pero wag ngayon.

Rod: Paano ako makasisiguro? (Then raised his brow playfully)

Imee: (Huff) Ayaw mong maniwala? Edi bahala ka.

Rod: Sabi ko nga naniniwala ako love eh (then smile) For now, payakap na muna, Doc. Sige na, namiss kita eh.

That made Lizzy smile as well kaya agad na siyang yumakap. Tsaka alam ko namang yakap ang gusto niya eh. Tsk! Kelan kaya matutupad yung panalangin ko na halik naman? Sana pagkatapos ng kasal HAHAH.
