CHAPTER 83

Rod's POV
I woke up early coz today is our first anniversary. Sa totoo lang akala ko talaga makikipaghiwalay na siya kagabi sa akin eh but I was wrong and I am so thankful coz she chose to stay.

When I get up, I immediately look through the window and when I saw Lizzy's car parked at her garage pa, napangiti ako agad coz I'm sure I'll get a chance na ihatid na siya ulit sa trabaho.

It took me 20 minutes to take a bath and immediately wear simple outfit yet maayos pa din naman tignan. Since pupunta ako sa site ngayon, I've decided to wear khaki sleeves and dark pants. I didn't complete the outfit with white sneakers. Hence, I chose the same colour as my sleeves nalang. Puro buhos kasi ang gagawin sa site eh and I need to check from time to time.

As I go downstairs, naisipan ko na agad ipinagtimpla ng kape si Lizzy. While getting some ice, my phone ring and as I check the caller's name, it's mom.

*On call

Emilia: Good morning, son!

Rod: Good morning, mom.

Emilia: So ano na? Anong balak mo? Papasok ba kayo sa trabaho ngayon?

Rod: Yes mom.

Emilia: Huh?! Bakit naman? Hellooo! Today is your first anniversary kaya.

When mom tell those words, napatigil ako sa pagtitimpla ng kape coz she's right. We should spend this day together but still half of me have this feeling na hindi siya papayag coz she didn't go to work for two days because of what I did.

Emilia: Hey! Are you still there?

Rod: Y-yes mom. Sorry po nagtitimpla kasi ako ng kape eh.

Emilia: Oh okay. Pero anak, I was thinking last night na—Ahm, ito'y suggestion ko lang naman noh pero I think you should ask Lizzy if it's okay with her na you two eh mag-celebrate ng first anniversary sa ibang bansa.....You know, extension ganun and ahm, first out of the country niyo tsaka para naman ma-solo niyo ang isat-isa. Yun bang no work involve, yung sa inyo lang ang oras ng isat-isa.

While mom keep on talking, napapaisip din ako. Well, maganda naman ang suggestion niya pero knowing Lizzy, baka hindi pumayag yun. Besides we're both busy din tsaka next week naka-sched din yung pagpunta ko sa province eh.

Emilia: So ano na, anak? What do you think? Good idea yun diba?

Rod: Yes, mom. To be honest, gustong-gusto ko pero ang problema busy po kami pareho. Tsaka I don't think Lizzy will agree.

Emilia: Hay naku! Once a year lang 'to, Rod. Tsaka teka nga, nakakapanibago ka ha. You don't seem excited. Hmm, nag-away ba kayo ni Lizzy? Are you guys not in good terms?

It took me a couple of minutes to speak coz Mom don't have any idea kung ano ang nagawa kong kasalanan kay Lizzy. She didn't know about what happen between me and Steffie. Ayoko din namang magsabi kasi nahihiya ako tsaka hindi ko pwedeng sabihin na "Mom, I made a mistake. Lizzy saw me laying on the bed with Steffie". Baka kalbuhin ako non ng wala sa oras eh.

Emilia: Hoy Roderick! Ano ba umagang-umaga lutang ka. Ano bang nangyayari sayo?

Rod: Ahm, mom can I call you later nalang? A-anong oras na din kasi besides kailangan ko na din pong tapusin 'tong pagtitimpla ko ng kape coz I'm sure Lizzy is making our breakfast na.

Emilia: Ah ganon ba? O-okay. Oh basta tawagan mo ako mamaya ha? Kwentuhan mo ako tsaka please anak, wag ka munang mag-propose! Dapat gawin mo yun sa harap ko at ng pamilya niya, understood?
