CHAPTER 75

Gab's POV
Gali and I were now heading to the bar where her friend, Stephen suggested na doon naman daw namin i-celebrate ang birthday ko. Ayaw nila sa Resto dahil boring daw. At first, ayaw ni Gali kasi sigurado kaming uuwi ng lasing ang mga kasama namin but then again after a long day of work, we deserve to rest at magpakasaya kaya in the end she agreed.

While driving her phone ring. When she grab it, a smile automatically formed on her face so I guess it's Rod but nah coz it's her dad, Tito Edward. To be honest, I'm really happy for her because they always call and ask her how was her day. Yun lang naman ang hiling niya eh simula pa noong mga bata kami at buti nalang nagagawa na nila ito sa kanya ngayon.

It took them a couple of minutes to talk and by the time she ended the call, I speak up coz she's smiling the whole time habang nakikipag-usap siya sa Daddy niya.

Gab: Oh Kamusta si Tito?

Imee: Ayos lang naman. Magkasama nga sila ni mommy ngayon eh and they are having dinner kasama si Bella while si Ate and Kuya naman papunta palang daw. Nakakainggit nga eh kasi palagi silang lumalabas.

Gab: You know what Gali, why don't you go home on Friday? Para makasama mo sila this weekend.

Imee: Nah, I can't because madami akong naka-sched na regular check-up on Friday. Baka nga late na naman ako makauwi eh.....Tapos on Saturday pinapapunta ako ni Dr. Francisco sa hospital kasi daw may mga bagong Doctor, kailangan ko silang kausapin.

Gab: Gusto mo kausapin ko si Dr. Francisco?

Imee: For what? (Then raised her left brow)

Gab: Sasabihin ko na ako nalang ang kakausap sa mga bagong Doctor and then on Friday, ako na ang bahala sa mga pasyenteng naka-sched sayo so that you can go home and spend your weekend with your family.

Imee: Wag na (Shook her head)

Gab: Sabi mo kanina naiinggit ka diba? Edi umuwi ka at ako muna ang bahala sa mga assigned works mo (then wink)

Imee: Tsk! Wag na (Sigh)

Gab: Are you sure?

Imee: Yes.

Gab: Okay but if you change your mind, sabihan mo lang ako.

Gali nodded and immediately grab her phone to check something. Hayst! What if ?! ..... Silence hit us for a couple of minutes coz I suddenly remember Rod so I ask her.

Gab: Ahm, What about Roderick, Gali? Nasabihan mo na ba?

Imee: Ahm, yeah. Pinabalik ko lang sa siya sa bahay kasi may nakalimutan ako pero I'm sure, papunta na din yun.

Gab: Oh okay.

Imee: Ahuh.

Our conversation goes on until we reach the place. I open the door and helped her hopped out of the car. As we enter the bar, there's a guy asked for our names at agad naman niya kaming hinatid sa private room.

As I open the door, we saw Stephen, Samantha and Alice sitting on the couch na. Maganda naman ang room at buti nalang disenteng bar ang napili nila coz if not, sigurado akong magagalit na naman si Gali kapag nagkataon.

While waiting we ordered some drinks muna and Stephen started to sing. Wine and Champagne lang muna dahil puro babae palang ang kasama ko.

Alice: Happy Birthday, Gab (handed a small box)

Gab: Thanks, Alice (then smile)
