Imee's POV
It's been several days and I've decided not to go to work today coz I wanna spend this whole day with Rod. Kinausap ko din sina Franky na hindi muna makakapasok si Rod sa trabaho and good thing, they agreed.
I woke up 5:30 in the morning and as usual, did my morning routine. I also ordered breakfast na for the two of us then after that pinuntahan ko na si Rod dahil gusto ko na paggising niya eh ako ang una niyang makita.
I knocked but then again he didn't open it so I guess tulog pa siya. "Tsk! Paano ako makakapasok nito?! (In her mind)" While thinking some ways on how to open this door nang hindi na siya nagigising, I saw Franky.
Imee: Good morning, Franky (then smile)
Franchesca: Good morning din (smile back) Oh bakit nakatayo ka jan?
Imee: Ahm, meron ka bang susi nitong room ni Rod?
Franchesca: Wala eh, bakit? Ayaw ka ba niyang papasukin? Nag-away kayo? (Disappointed) Chavez naman! Akala ko ba gusto mo siyang makasama ngayon? Eh bakit na— (didn't finish her words coz Imee speak up)
Imee: Franky hindi ganun. Rod and I were okay.
Franchesca: Ah buti naman. Pfeww! Akala ko magce-celebrate yan ng hindi kayo okay eh. Oh anyway, bakit nga pala kailangan mo ng susi?
Imee: Duh! Obviously the door is lock, Franky (then rolled her eyes)
Franchesca: Duh! You can knock naman eh. As if naman hindi ka pagbubuksan niyan (then rolled her eyes too)
After a second, Franky and I burst into laughters. She even hit my arm pero slight lang.
Franchesca: Maldita ka talaga eh noh? (Still laughing)
Imee: Ikaw din!
Franchesca: Teka nga, ako na ang kakatok.
Franky was about to knock but I stop her and that made her confuse. She also crossed her arms and raised her left brow so I did the same. Aba! Taasan ba naman ako ng kilay nito.
Franchesca: Paano ka makakapasok kung hindi ka naman kakatok, Chavez?
Imee: Eh ayoko ngang magising siya eh.
Franky was about to speak but one of the staff saw me and gave the breakfast that I ordered earlier.
Franchesca: Sus! Ano yan? Breakfast in bed?
Imee: Obvious ba?
Franchesca: Sweet ka din pala eh noh?
I didn't bother to answer Franky na, I just turn back at nagpasalamat nalang ako sa staff. After a second, he left na so I faced Franky again.
Imee: Patingin nung room key mo baka pareho lang kayo.
Franchesca: Hindi, magkaiba kami.
Imee: Oh eh pano ako makakapasok niyan?
After telling those words, she look at my hair and naglakad papunta sa likod ko. When she stop infront of me, she smile then suddenly get something on my hair. Hindi man lang nagdahan-dahan eh, ang sakit non.
Imee: Aray naman! Mapanakit ka Franky ha. What did I do ba para gawin mo yun?! (Frown)
Franchesca: Wala, binabawian ko lang siya (then laugh)
Imee: Anong binabawian? Sinong siya?!
Franchesca: Shh! Ang ingay mo akala ko ba ayaw mo siyang magising?
Imee: Eh Ikaw eh!
Franchesca: Shh!
Imee: Tsk! Ano ba yung kinuha mo?
Franchesca: Hair pin.
Imee: Anong gagawin mo jan?
Franchesca: Ano pa?! Edi ito ang gagamitin ko pangbukas nitong pinto. Wala ka talagang kaalam-alam sa mga ganto eh noh? Grabe ka! Saang lupalop ka ba ng mundo nakatira ng dahilan para hindi mo malaman ang mga ganto, Doc?
Imee: Well, hindi naman kasi ako akyat bahay o involve sa mga ganyang gawain katulad mo, okay?
Franchesca: Anong katulad ko? Hi—
Imee: Enough! Buksan mo nalang yan. Dali!
Franchesca: Tsk! Kung hi—
Imee: Wait, baka may CCTV dito. Baka kung anong isipin nila, Franky. Wag nalang kaya?
Franky: (sigh) May nakikita ka ba? Wala diba? Tsaka maaga pa for sure wala pang nagmo-monitor sa office nila.
When Franky tell those words, I didn't bother to speak up na ulit. I just let her open the door na using the pin. It took her a couple of minutes to open it. She even told me na medyo nahirapan daw siya kasi the last time she did that was less than a minute lang daw. Jusko! Medyo nakakatakot siyang kasama ha.
When Franky left, I immediately enter Rod's room and carefully placed the tray on the table muna. I made sure na hindi talaga siya magising dahil maaga pa naman. God! This was the first time na ginawa ko 'to and I'm sure kapag nalaman ito nila Sam, they won't believe it lalong lalo na si Gali.
I'm currently sitting on the couch and it's pass 7 na pero hindi pa siya nagigising. Medyo naiinis ba ako? Definitely yes. Parang gusto ko na ngang batuhin siya ng unan eh. Tsk! Kanina pa ako naghihintay dito.
While looking at the plan na ginagawa niya, my phone ring so I immediately answer it then head to the balcony, it was Gab. Well, he inform me na baka after lunch nalang daw siya makakarating dito and it's okay with me besides mamayang gabi ko pa naman kailangan yung pinabili ko sa kanya.
As I turned off my phone, I was shock cuz Rod isn't lying on the bed anymore. Hayst! Palpak tuloy yung plano ko. While closing the sliding door, I heard someone using the powder room so I guess siya yun. I look at myself at the mirror and sigh deeply then after a second, he went out na so I walk towards him and gave him a cheek kiss. Nagulat ba siya? Yes!
Rod: What are you doing here, love? Ang aga pa (then kissed Imee's forehead)
Imee: Good morning and Happy Birthday, love (hug Rod)
Rod: Naks! Thank you (hug Imee back)
Imee: So anong plano mo ngayon?
Rod: Wala naman, parang ordinary day lang (pulled out from the hug and look at Imee) Pero sabay tayong kakain ng dinner mamaya ha?
Imee: Yun lang? Ayaw mong lumabas o mamasyal kasama ako?
Rod: Kahit gusto ko wala din naman akong magagawa kasi alam kong may trabaho ka, love.
Imee: Eh pa'no kung sabihin ko na hindi ako papasok ngayon at sinabihan ko na din sila Franky na sila muna ang bahala sa site niyo dahil hindi makakapasok ang boss nila ngayon?
Rod: For real? (Surprise)
I didn't speak, I just simply nod and gave him my sweetest smile.
Rod: So makakasama kita ngayon buong araw?
Imee: Yes.
Rod: Weh? Totoo ba? Walang halong joke yan ha?
Imee: Paulit-ulit? Sinabi na ngang oo eh (then rolled her eyes)
Rod: Galit agad? Okay, thank you.
Rod kissed my forehead again then smile so I hug him nalang.
Imee: I ordered breakfast, love. Well, supposedly breakfast in bed yun pero wala na eh, bumangon ka na.
When I tell those words, he laugh then pulled out from the hug. Tsk! Iniwan ba naman akong mag-isang nakatayo dito. I was about to follow him but there's a notification popped up on my phone's screen so I checked it muna and it's a message from Gab.
From Gab:
Gali, I have surgery pala at 12pm-2pm so most probably baka gabi na ako makakarating jan.
To Gab:
It's okay, Gali. Basta pumunta ka dito ha? Yung pinabili ko wag mong kalimutan.
From Gab:
Opo, nasa sasakyan na yun.
After reading his last message, I turned off my phone na then placed it on the mini table. As I turn back, I saw Rod lying on the bed again at nag-iinarteng kagigising lang niya so I walk towards him.
Imee: Anong ginagawa mo? Bumangon ka na kanina eh, bakit humiga ka pa ulit jan?
Rod: Good morning, love (then smile)
I didn't utter any words, I just gave him a questioned look. Sira ulo ata 'tong lalaking 'to eh.
Rod: Ayokong masayang ang effort mo, love. So sige na, kunin mo na yung breakfast natin. Let's eat here nalang.
I was about to speak but then again he stop me so I don't have a choice na kundi kunin nalang yung tray. Okay, fine! Pagbigyan kasi birthday niya ngayon. Tsk!
*while eating
Rod: Anong oras ka gumising, love?
Imee: 5:30
Rod: Am?!
Imee: Ay hindi, pm. 5:30pm (rolled her eyes)
Rod: Love naman.
Imee: Tsk!
Rod: Wait, paano ka pala nakapasok? Ang alam ko I locked the door before I go to bed kagabi eh.
Imee: Well, Franky helped me.
Our conversation goes on until we finish our breakfast. Since both of us aren't go to work, I let Rod decide kung anong gusto niyang gawin namin ngayon. Well, he told me na he wants to explore this province daw kasama ako so I agree besides wala din naman akong gustong ibang makasama kundi siya lang.
I am now in my room at katatapos ko lang maligo. I wore bathrobe muna cuz I wanna dry my hair first bago magpalit.
I took me a couple of minutes to dry my hair and I've decided to do some hairstyle pero nainis ako kasi hindi ko magawa ng tama kaya I did a little wavy nalang then grab some hair tie para kapag mainit mamaya, eh may gagamitin ako. While putting some light make up someone knocked the door.
Imee: Come in.
Rod: Hi love.
Imee: Oh sorry, sandali lang, love. Ahm give me 30 minutes, magpapalit lang ako saglit.
Rod: Maaga pa naman, love. Take your time, okay? I'll wait for you here nalang.
I just smile then immediately head to the closet room. Since his wearing white shirt and a black jeans (while holding black jacket), I've decided to wear the same outfit too then complete the look with flat sandals and a cute bag that is enough to fit my phone, card and money.
Imee: G?
Rod: decades ago pa, love (then laugh)
While walking, we saw Sam and Stephen. As usual, mapang-asar sila kaya nagpaalam na kami agad. When we reach the parking area, Rod stop infront of his car and as if he's waiting for someone or something so I ask.
Imee: Akala ko ba aalis na tayo?
Rod: Yes love pero saglit lang, wala pa yung sasakyan natin.
Imee: Sasakyan?! Eh Anong tawag mo dito? (Referring to his car)
Rod: Hindi yan ang gagamitin natin, love (wore his glasses then smile)
Imee: Eh ano?!
Rod didn't speak, he just hold my waist and pulled me closer to him. Minutes passed, I was shocked coz there's a motorcycle stopped infront of us. At first akala ko magpa-park lang pero hindi coz he gave the key and two helmets to Rod.
They talk for a minute then after that nagpaalam na din yung staff. After a second, Rod walk towards me. Isusuot niya sana sa akin ang helmet but I step back.
Imee: Jan mo ako isasakay?
Rod: Why? What's wrong with this love? Mas masaya 'to kaysa nakasakay tayo sa four wheels mahal ko.
Imee: Ayokong sumakay jan.
Rod: Wait, nakasakay ka na ba sa ganitong sasakyan? Well if not, safe yan love. I-I assure you hindi ka mahuhulog jan basta yumakap ka lang sa akin, promise (then smile)
Imee: Kumuha ka pa ng isa.
Rod: Huh?
Imee: I said kumuha ka pa ng isa. Ayokong umangkas sayo, I'll drive on my own.
Alam kong nagulat siya sa sinabi ko and was about to speak but I cut him then excuse myself coz I wanna change this flat shoes into white one (sneakers). Well, it's more comfortable kasi and I've decided to get some jacket dahil medyo mainit. Ayokong umitim noh. I also grab some sunscreen para may gagamitin pa kami mamaya coz I'm sure walang dala yung lalaking yun kaya medyo negro eh HAHAHAH.
Rod: Ohhh! Ang astig mo mahal ko (Look at Imee from head to toe)
Imee: I know right. Here! Maglagay ka nito para hindi ka magmukhang uling pag-uwi natin (handed the sunscreen)
While he's putting some sunscreen on his face, ako naman I've decided to check the motorcycle muna.
Rod: I didn't know marunong ka palang magdrive ng motor, love.
Imee: Madaming pwedeng mangyari sa loob ng 11 years, love (then wink)
Rod: I'm curious, sinong nagturo sayo?
Imee: Si Kuya. Anyway, do you have extra shades? Nakalimutan kong kunin sa bag yung shades ko eh.
Rod: Ah yeah, I-I think nandito sa sasakyan yun, sandali lang, love.
Imee: Bilis!
After telling that words, he hurriedly unlock his car then get his extra shades. Isusuot na sana niya ang helmet sa akin but I told him na wag muna besides nandito naman kami sa probinsya, hindi gaanong mahigpit kagaya sa Manila. Perhaps later nalang kapag mainit na.
We go to different places na malapit lang muna dito dahil sigurado akong hindi namin mapupuntahan lahat sa isang araw lang. We also had our lunch malapit sa mga places kung saan kami namasyal and good thing kaunti lang ang tao. Around 2pm, Rod requested na bumalik kami sa viewpoint coz he wanna watch sunset with me.
We reach the place around 3pm and bago kami pumunta sa viewpoint, we've decided to take some pictures again. He even ask someone para kunan kami ng litrato.
We are now at the viewpoint and currently looking at the pictures we took earlier.
Rod: Love, is it okay kung ilagay ko sa IG story ko 'to?
Imee: Let me see.
Rod: Here oh (then show the photo to Imee)
Imee: Okay lang.
Rod: Yown! Thank you (then smile)
Imee: And....I'll add this on my story naman (then show the photo to Rod) Okay lang din ba, love?
Rod: Of course! Kahit pa hindi mo ipagpaalam sakin love, okay na okay. Tsaka mabuti na din yan para malaman nilang taken ka na....Mention mo ako love ha? (then wink) Anyways, first time love, first time.
Imee: Sus! Eh Ikaw nga din once ka lang nag-story about sa ating dalawa.
Rod: Anong once? Of course not. Palagi kaya, ang kaso hindi mo lang nakikita.
Imee: Sus!
Rod: I'm not lying, love. Kahit tanungin mo pa si Stephen.
Imee: K fine!
Rod came closer and held my waist so I smile then rest my head on his shoulder.
Rod: Love?
Imee: Hmm?
Rod: Naaalala mo ba yung sinabi ko nung first time mong pumunta dito?
Imee: Ang dami mong sinabi noon, Rod. Sabihin mo nalang kaya hindi yung pinag-iisip mo pa ako.
Rod: Love naman eh, panira 'to.
Imee: Sabihin mo nalang kasi, ang arte mo.
Rod: Okay, okay.
After Rod tell those words, I faced him and wait for him to speak up.
Rod: Sabi ko dati (then hold Imee's hand) sana pagbalik natin dito, tayo na.
Imee: And? (Raised her left brow)
Rod: Nagkatotoo diba? Kasi nung bumalik tayo, yun yung time na sinagot mo ako (then smile)
I didn't speak, I just enjoy looking at his beautiful smile. Ang sarap pala sa pakiramdam ng ganito.
Rod: Do you still remember, love? Siguro hindi na noh?
Imee: Naaalala ko po, love (cupped Rod's face then smile)
Rod: This is our third time here. Sana sa susunod na bumalik tayo dito, fiancé na kita.
Imee: Hoy! Tumigil ka ha! Isang taon pa, Roderick.
Rod: Biro lang, love (then kissed Imee's forehead) I love you, Doc.
I just smile and hug him tight. This sunset is really different compared to the previous sunset that we saw before and I admit, I really enjoy this day.
