Stuck With U - Ariana Grande (feat. Justin Bieber)

"Hey." Evelyn greeted me, as she stepped through my front door. She was wearing a baby blue dress that clung to her curves in all the right places, with a pair of white heels.

"Hi," I greeted back, giving her a small smile, "the kitchen is right through here." I said as I started walking through the entry way.

She looked around as I went back to the stove. "A man that can cook. That's rare for hockey players." I chuckle as she sits on one the stools by the island.

"My mom taught me when I was younger." I say as she rests her arms on the counter.

"So, are you and your mom close then?" She asks, looking at the pan with pasta sauce in it, before dipping her finger in it. Before I could slap her hand away she sucks the pasta sauce off of her finger without breaking eye contact. I suck in a breath, "Something wrong?" She asks like she didn't just do that.

"Yeah, my mom and I are close, and quit touching my food." I say as she goes to dip her finger in the sauce again, but this time I do slap her hand away.

"Ow, that wasn't very nice."

"You deserved it."

"Well it tasted good." She said with a cheeky smile

"Well, you can wait." I said, returning the cheeky grin as she pouted. "Is it almost done then?" She asks like a child asking if we're there yet.

"The sooner you quit whining, the sooner it will be done." I say as she sighs, "Fine." She says flatly as I just smile at her.

"So, back to your mom.. What's she like?" She asks, staring at the food.

"I'm about to kick you out of the kitchen." I say chuckling.

"I didn't even touch it!" She says throwing her hands up in defense.

"But you were about too!" I say pointing an accusing finger.

"I was only thinking about it..." She says crossing her arms over her chest.

"Anyways, my mom, she's amazing. She has always supported my sister and I, no matter what her beliefs were. She may have not always agreed with our decisions at first, but she'd push her opinions aside because she knew we were our our own people and made our own decisions." I said as I finished up the food. "Now does that mean that she didn't express her opinion and give us advice." I say as Evelyn chuckles.

"And what about your sister?" She asks, as she quickly grabs the plate from my hand, and I sit down next to her.

"She can be a total brat one minute, and the next she's the most selfless person ever." I say chuckling.

"I don't think that's just your sister. Ellie's the same way."

"Are you close with your dad?" She asks as I slightly stiffen for a minute. Evelyn takes notice to this, "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." She says shoving food in her mouth.

"You know it's really hard to take you seriously when you're shoving food in your mouth." I say chuckling as she throws her napkin at me.

"What can I say, I like to eat." She shrugs her shoulders, letting out a laugh.

"My dad.. he uh- we're not close. We never really were, he's actually why I started playing hockey when I was little." I say as she sets her fork down to pay attention. "He was the kind of dad that yelled at you just because he was in a bad mood... and he was always in a bad mood. So I started playing hockey when I was 9, since I couldn't take my anger out on him, I chose to play a sport that I could."

"You should've been and MMA fighter, or a boxer then." She chuckles.

"Not as fun as slamming people into a wall while you're skating at full speed."

"True." She says picking her fork back up, continuing to eat.

"So, are your parents still together or divorced? If you don't mind me asking."

"They got divorced when Gracie, that's my sister, and I we're 15. He cheated on her, and that was her last straw." I say, remembering the day she handed the divorce papers to him.

"What the fuck are these?!"

"I want a divorce, Thomas." She says as Gracie and I sat there silently, glancing at each other every once in a while.

"You want to leave me? You, Anne, want to leave me?! Yeah, okay." He says shoving the divorce papers back towards her.

"I'm being serious Thomas." She says, pushing the divorce papers back towards him.

"Like hell you are. After everything I've done for you, for this family!" He says, raising his voice.

"You've done nothing for this family! All you've done is yelled at your kids for 15 years! When was the last time you hugged your children, or told them you loved them, or better yet when was the last time you payed for something for them, when was the last time you even had a goddamn job? SO DON'T YOU SIT THERE AND TELL ME YOU'VE DONE EVERYTHING FOR THEM BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T DONE SHIT!!" She yells, as tears form in her eyes and Gracie grabs my hand from across the table.

"Now, you are going to sign those papers, you are going to pack your things, and you are going to get the hell out of my house! And then maybe, once you've got your shit together, maybe then, we will talk about you seeing OUR children, okay?" She says handing him a pen.

"My mom used to tell us stories about the man she married, before he became angry all the time, she doesn't know what changed him to this day."

"Do you ever hear from him?" She asks as she places her fork and napkin on her empty plate.

"Not much, about once a year, he'll call when he's drunk off his ass and remembers he has children. It doesn't usually last very long, and it's never anything good." I say shrugging, "I've gotten used to it by now, and I usually ignore the call anyways."

"I'm sorry you had to go through all of that, especially at such a young age." She says with an apologetic look on her face, I just give her a small smile.

"So what about you?" I ask, standing up and grabbing our dishes.

"I could've helped with those." She says.

"It's fine, I got it."

I quickly rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. "Do you want to move to the couch?" I ask leaning against the counter.

"Sure." She says as I head towards the living room, as she follows closely behind me.

We both get comfortable on the couch as I turn on the TV to see a hockey game on, I mute it before turning to look at her.

"Hope you don't mind."

She chuckles, "It's fine."

"Anyways, back to you. Are you close to your parents?" I ask.

"My mom, yes. My dad and I go back and forth, sometimes it's like we're best friends, other times, not so much."

I sigh, "Sunshine," She shoots me a look, "I don't like how he talked to you the other day."

"No one likes getting treated that way, but after a while you learn to block it out."

"Why doesn't Chris do anything, or your mom?"

"They've both tried. With Chris it always ended up with them fighting, and my mom would have to step in a lot. Chris hit him once, in high school. He was yelling at Ellie over something I did, I tried to tell him it was my fault, but he thought I was just protecting her. He shoved me out of the way, and Chris came home from practice right as it happened. He was pissed off from something that happened with one of his teammates, and then he saw that and he lost it, and punched him." She says, looking down for a minute, before continuing, "That just fueled my dad's fire, he tried to call the cops but my mom somehow talked him out of it. It's funny how through all that anger, my mom can always calm him, no matter the circumstances. I guess love is just crazy like that." She says lightly chuckling, "Things that that don't happen that much, my dad would only get that angry at certain things, and a lot of times the anger just takes over him and he doesn't realize what he's saying, he'd be a disaster without my mom. But at the end of the day, he's still my dad, and he's done a lot for me and supported me my whole life." She says facing me, with her ankles crossed.

Wanting to change the subject, because I knew we had different opinions about her dad I spoke up, "So, as I said, I think that there are some things that we need to discuss."

She nodded her head yes, as she sat up straight. "We definitely do."

"So, one of the first things that I had thought about was custody, but I don't want to deal with that. A baby probably needs its mom a bit more than its dad, and I don't want to miss any big moments because of stupid custody. And I don't think we should be moving our baby back and forth every week or whatever because we're stubborn. So, with that being said, I think you should live here." I said as she looked at me shocked.

"Um.. Well I definitely didn't expect you to say that."

"I think it's the best option for the baby, at least for the first year or two."

"And then what after the first year, you want to mess up the baby's routine, and move him around?"

"I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that, that would be something we discussed when the time comes up."

"Right.. and have you thought about us living together, the baby aside, what that means for us?"

"What do you mean?" I ask, my brows furrowed.

"Greyson, you're one of Florida's biggest fuck boys, you think I don't know you probably have girls over all the time?"

"I'm not going to anymore, the baby is going to be my first priority." I say, as she gives me an unsure look.

"And what about while I'm pregnant, would I live here during that too?"

"I figured, better to have you moved in before, right?" I say, ash she still has a shocked look on her face.

"Can I have some time, to think about this? I mean, it's not really something I just say yes too."

"That's fine. I have enough bedrooms, we could be on complete opposite sides of the house, if you want. My assistant can have all your stuff moved ASAP. We can even do the nursery together, if you want, or I can just hire someone, it doesn't matter." Her eyes meet mine as she smiles, "Yeah?" She asks.

"Yeah." I say resting my arm on top of the couch.

"Okay. I guess, let's do it." She says with a small smile.

"Wait, really?" I ask, confused, considering she seemed kind of fully against the idea about thirty seconds ago.

"Yeah. You're right, it's probably better for the baby." She says as I stand up, her brows furrow.

"What are you doing?" She asks.

"Do you want a tour or not?" I ask as I start to walk out of the living room.

This is about to be one weird living situation.
