TW/CW: Mentions and descriptions of sexual assault and rape.

Hollow footsteps echoed down the dark staircase, the quiet girl followed loosely behind her good friend. Quickly lighting a match, Hange lit serval candles inside her lab, brightening up the room.

Silently making her way into the old office attached to the lab, Hange continued to light the room, the silent girl following close. Resting her hands lightly against the back of a chair, (Y/n)'s gaze shifted down, her mind wandering off as Hange pulled out a notepad.

Fiddling her fingers slowly, the young girl chewed on the inside of her cheek, a bad habit she always had. Her eyes moved up at the sound of Hange clearing her throat, holding up a towel for her to take.

"You can go get undressed in that storage room if you would like, I'll wait in here." The woman spoke softly, her expression showing compassion to her friend.

The fabric dangled from Hanges hand, (Y/n)'s eyes stayed placed on the towel, still not making a move to grab it.

"Hange..." She whispered as her eyes moved up to the woman's.

"I know, I'm sorry... but (Y/n), I need you to understand, its either I do this now, or you have some stranger do it to you later. Because if I'm being honest with you, this whole situation is more then likely to go to some judge, and they will need a report. So its up to you, I don't have to if you don't want me to, but then it will just be pushed to later on with a stranger." She said truthfully, her words sending a painful punch to (Y/n)'s gut, though she knew Hange was right.

With a soft sigh, her hand reached up and took the fabric from her friend, exiting the room into a smaller closet, slowly starting to strip.

A soft twist of a handle, and the pained girl shyly walked back into the office, holding the towel on herself to hide her privates. Hanges eyes connected to the thick scarring along her arms and shoulders, slowly taking a breath in.

Nodding her head, the woman walked closer, "Okay, you can remove the towel when your ready." She said softly, her eyes looking up to (Y/n)'s, watching as the girls gaze stayed lowered.

Chewing in her bottom lip, the quiet girl slowly looked up to the brunette, her eyes showing her discomfort and pain, "This is humiliating..." She whispered, almost inaudible.

The woman could only sigh and purse her lips, knowing full and well she didn't want to do this anymore then (Y/n) did.

"I know... I'm sorry." Was the only thing she could push past her lips, hating the feeling of this whole situation.

A silent pause filled the room, both girls going quiet before (Y/n) spoke again, "Hange?" She asked, waiting for the sound of her friends hum of acknowledgement, "He didn't do it. Levi didn't do anything. He didn't hurt me. Ever." She whispered the last word, her eyes staying softly on the ground.

Hanges stomach dropped, "I know," she mumbled, stepping closer and wrapping her arms around (Y/n) who immediately melted in her embrace.

Hanges hand pressed against the back of her head, holding her close.

"I know he didn't... and I will be right here with you both until we prove that fact to everyone, okay?" Hange said softly over her shoulder, "I know it doesn't look very good for him, but I will fight until he is proven innocent. And until you are safe. Alright?"

(Y/n) nodded into her shoulder, appreciating her words. Letting go of her friend, she stepped back. Dropping the fabric slip from her body, revealing the fresh and scarred wounds that covered her, the worst areas already bandaged from the night before.

Meanwhile, inside Erwin's office.

"So Levi, would you please explain what is going on?" Erwin asked from the other side of the table, his hands folded neatly on the wood.

"That's none of your business, Commander." He added the last part with a hint of resistance.

"No. No because it is my business. Because when I see one of my recruits, not only with one of my captains early in the morning, in his room, but also, with an unbelievable about of bruises and cuts, then it absolutely does turn into my business. So, would you please explain what happened." The man retorted back sharply, his thick brows jumping as he spoke.

After a moment of quiet had passed, "She came to me last night, she was hurt, I helped her. That's all." Levi disclosed resentfully.

"That's all?" The blond asked sounding more like a statement, nodding his head slowly, "So... then why exactly was she wearing your clothes?"

Levi eyes stayed glued onto Erwin's as his jaw tensed, both of then men not wanting to back down from their position, "Because, hers got ruined, and needed something to change into."

"Why didn't you just send her back to her room? Why did she stay the night there?" He commanded.

"Because Erwin, she was scared out of her mind. I wasn't about to send her back to her room alone." Levi sneered back, furrowing his brows.

"What happened in her room?"

The room went silent once more, though the strong eye contact stayed.

Erwin spoke again, his voice low and serious, "Levi. Did you do this to her?"

Levi's brows dipped down slightly, his jaw tightening, "No."

Pursing his lips lightly, Erwin pushed further, "Levi... I need to know the truth about what happened."

By now Levi's jaw was clenched extremely tight, "I didn't, touch, her." He seethed back slowly though his teeth.

Erwin paused, slowly taking a breath in the silent room, keeping his eyes on the man in front of himself.

A soft knock sounded at the door, grabbing Erwin's attention, his eyes drifted away from Levi's and over to the sound, "Who is it?"

"Hange. I have (Y/n) and the report with me." The woman spoke from outside the room, her voice muffled through the thick wood.

At the sound of (Y/n)'s name, Erwin's eyes jumped back to Levi's, hoping to catch some sort of reaction, but seeing no change in his expression.

"Come in, both of you." The blond called back, watching as the handle twisted before revealing Hange on the other side.

"(Y/n), please sit here," Erwin said, motioning to the chair by Levi, "Hange," He motioned to another chair by the side of (Y/n).

The dark room fell silent once more, the blond mans eyes scanning over the people in front of himself. The large glass window directly behind his back revealed the bright summer sky, hardly any clouds floating by. Small birds darted back and forth, the trees holding still with no comforting wind to push the bright green leaves. The hot sun beat down upon the greenery, burning itself into any person who trained outside, leaving its mark on their skin.

"(Y/n), what happened last night?" Erwin asked after his thoughtful pause, her eyes connecting with his.

Her hesitation was clear to everyone in there, the girls mouth staying shut as her eyes quickly fell from Erwin's as she shifted uncomfortably.

Levi's eyes watched her silently from the side, though keeping his head in the same position from before.

"That's alright. I don't have any meetings today anyways, we can just sit here until someone tells me what's going on. Please, take your time." Erwin said rather calmly, leaning back in his chair and getting more comfortable.

Shutting his eyes briefly, Levi's lips pursed together with annoyance.

"When I was younger, I lived with a man who used to take advantage of me. I thought I had finally got rid of him, but he was waiting for me in my room last night. Along with Owen from the party at Sina. They beat me up and tied me to the legs of a table," (Y/n) begun, turning her wrist over slowly as she traced the rope cut with her other fingers delicately.

Levi's eyebrows stayed furrowed, his jaw tight as he listened to her tell the story for the first time, his eyes flickered over to her wrist were he saw the cut once more.

"Owen used my mouth... while Robert-" She paused feeling her voice start to shake, staring at her lap. The brunette to her left leaned over slowly to lean her elbows on her knees, covering her mouth as she listened in horror.

Inhaling slowly, "I tried to stop them, but each time I would, they would just- fight me harder... After a while, both of them... finished. They planned on just knocking me out, leaving it to look like Levi had done it." (Y/n) revealed, continuing to fiddle her fingers.

Erwin's eyes moved to look at Levi, only to find the man's dark expression, Levi's eyes burning into the floor nearby as he listened.

"When Owen went to knock me out, he missed. Which shifted the desk, and freed me. So I jumped up, and grabbed a knife which I knew I had kept in the drawer... and I stabbed him." (Y/n) whispered during the last sentence, almost as if she didn't believe what she was saying.

A silence filled the room, though soon Erwin asked, "And what about Robert, what happened to him?"

The girl looked up to her commander, before her eyes fell back down, "I don't know. He must have... gotten scared? I'm not sure, but he looked frightened. So he ran, he left Owen and he took off."

Erwin nodded slowly, "And what happened after that?"

Taking a slow breath before she spoke, "I left. I didn't know what to do, and the first thing I thought of was to go to Levi."

Erwin's eyes moved over to the dark haired man, before going back to (Y/n), "Why?"

The girls eyes moved up to her commanders, humming a confused response, "Why did you go to Levi? Why not Cora, or Hange?" Erwin questioned.

This question stumped the girl a little, causing her to pause before replying, "Uh- I don't know... cause he's my captain?"

"Hes your captain, yes. Captain. Makes sense... is that also why he chose you to go to the dance? And why he's so protective over you? Why you catch his attention when you walk into the dining hall each morning? Why you seem to disappear off to his office every night? Why he missed his meeting this morning? Is that why he's the first person that popped into your head? Or am I just mistaken?" The blond interrogated knowingly, sending a punch in the gut to (Y/n).

Her eyes were wide he finished off his questions, holding her breath, completely stunned by how much he knew. Looking over at Levi, she noticed how his eyes weren't up at Erwin's, nor looking at hers, rather staring down at the ground.

His expression was unreadable, but it was clear he was also surprised at how much his commander knew.

The silence was the answer Erwin had been expecting, "Mhm.." He confirmed, "So, how long have you two been together exactly?"

Without looking up, Levi spoke lowly after a moment, "7 months and 9 days."

Erwin's brow jumped, surprised at his response. (Y/n)'s eyes widened slightly, looking over at Levi, somewhat dumbfounded by the accuracy in his answer.

Levi kept his eyes down, still not looking up at anyone, his brows furrowed.

"Well. Its over now. I don't want you seeing each other anymore." The blond man announced, clearing his throat before he spoke.

At that, Levi's eyes darted up to Erwins, Hange finally looked up to.

Scoffing lightly through his nose, "Well, its a good thing that isn't up for you to decide."

"Oh but it is. This.. 'relationship' will be to much of a distraction, I can't have some of my best fighters out of their game. Theres to much risk in having you be together. So lets end it while its still private and no one knows." Erwin stated, folding his hands on the desk again.

"Erwin, I'm a grown ass man, I think im capable of controlling my emotions. Thanks for your input, but no." Levi told off.

"Levi, this isn't up for debate,-" The blond started, getting cut off quickly by Levi.

"And this isn't your relationship. Its ours." His eyes motioned over to (Y/n), "So back the hell off."

Exhaling slightly, Erwin spoke again, "Theres a mission in two days. We need to restock the base, you are already aware I was only planning on sending Hange as a captain for all. But (Y/n) is on the list to go as well as a few others from your squad, so I don't want her to be distracted while out there in Titan territory."

"You do realize she would be more distracted if you send her out there in pain rather then if we just stay together. Its not like its been a problem leading up to this point so far, so you have no real reason to split us up other then to protect your shitty little ego." Levi retorted back sharply.

"Its fine Levi. I can go on the mission, its not worth it, just stop fighting him." (Y/n) spoke up, causing Levi to immediately look over, slightly shocked.

His eyes were widened, processing what she just said, trying to figure out if she was just giving up and accepting Erwin's request.

His mind raced, was this her saying they should break up?

"What?" Was the only this he could push past his lips.

"Stop fighting him. Its okay. I'll go on the mission and I'll be fine." She said again, looking over at Levi, connecting their eyes.

Even through his usually emotionless expression, she could feel the pain and shock in his eyes.

Hange looked over at the two, watching with wide eyes as the pair looked at each other in silence.

"Okay, first of all. Your not going on that mission. And secondly, Erwin isn't in charge of how we live our lives, so don't just-" He started, getting cut off by the girl.

"Woah woah, who said anything about me not going? I've been preparing for this mission for weeks," (Y/n) said back.

From across the desk, Erwin watched as the two slowly started to build tension.

"(Y/n), don't be ridiculous. If there's any chance of you being pregnant then there's no way in hell I'm going to let you go out there." The dark haired man replied strictly, his brows dipping down.

"Hold on, pregnant?" Erwin cut in, his expression showing surprise.

(Y/n)'s eyes moved from Levi's to the ground after hearing Erwin, though the man still watched her.

A pause set into the room, though soon Hange spoke softly, "By who?"

Levi's eyes moved past (Y/n) to meet with Hanges, realizing she knew about what he and (Y/n) had done before, pursing his lips as he slowly looked over to Erwin.

Levi's dark eyes were quickly met by Erwin's, quickly picking up on his angered expression, he definitely understood what Hange had meant.

"By who?! Isn't Robert the only option? Or did you guys seriously have sex?" Erwin demanded, only finding silence as an answer as Levi looked away frustratedly.

"You've got to be kidding me." He fumed, aggressively pushing his hands off his desk.

"Erwin we are both adults, I think we are capable in deciding when we are ready. And we aren't idiots, we didn't go at it with the hopes of getting her pregnant, of course not. If she is pregnant, then it's an extremely low chance it's from me. But I think it's highly likely she is pregnant, from Robert." Levi stated back.

"I'm not pregnant." (Y/n) growled back, her voice low, Levi quickly turning his head to look at her.

Taking a breath in slowly Levi said darkly back, "You don't know that."

"I'm not, pregnant." She said again, slowly and lowly, scowling at Levi to get him to stop.

By the glare the man was sending back to her, she could feel the tension in the room. Both Hange and Erwin sat watching them in silence, seeing as the pair looked daggers at each other.

Though soon, Levi slowly took his eyes away from hers, gradually turning his head back to Erwin's desk, a dauntingly silent move.

A cruel hush swept over the room, by the intense glare (Y/n) had received, she knew Levi was absolutely pissed with her, but was holding himself together in front of the crowd. For the first time in 7 happy months, she knew their first argument was just around the corner, something she had dreaded for a long time.
