• You woke up to a familiar melody playing.
• eyes flattering open, you were met by pitch darkness being illuminated by the shining screen of your phone

• not looking at the caller ID, you pick it up

• not being able to process the situation - like recognize the voice of the caller, (bc ur practically asleep) paniced
• you thought someone was stalking you and wanted to murder ur or smth
• jumping out of your bed, you grabbed the nearest thing you could use as a weapon
• which happened to be your charger
• you approached the window
• there, you saw a shilouette
• of someone...
• with a mullet

• you opened the window for a very- annoyed looking Henry.
• "Henry wtf"😤
• you were about to scold him
• but he beat you to it
• "Y/N SINCE WHEN DO U KEEP UR WINDOW LOCKED MORON
• and wtf were you gonna do to me with that charger StRanGle mE To DEatH????"
• you just stares at him dumbfounded
• this bitch just woke u up and now stood there like a diva, yelling nonsense at you.

• he hesitated to answer
• and when he did, his voice sounded small and really tired.

• without another word, you took his hand in yours, slowly walking him to the bed.
• after turning on the nightlight, you sat down onto the soft cussions
• only then, when the yellow light brightened up the scene, did you notice how sad he actually looked.
• "what's wrong?"
• With that question asked, you only hoped he wouldn't tell you that his Father got in the way again..
• "I just didn't want to be in the same house as my Dad.."
• your heart sank, or more like plummeted down your chest, as you imagined a horrible scene unfold in your mind
• "did he...?"
• "No, don't worry" - Henry reassured you, thank god - "I just had a bad dream about him, that's all"
• he looked away when he said that
• as if ashamed of being scared
• that's probably why he came to you though...
• he thought he's seem weak.
• and probably didn't want to feel like it around the guys
• so you were glad he felt safe enough to open up to you about it.
• "It's okay Henry..."
• You whispered to him, knowning he needed something to lull him back to the feeling of closure.
• your hand slowly touched his shoulder, providing just enough comfort for him to look back at you again
• and when he did, you saw just how hard he was trying to hold himself together.
• but he shattered
• Eyes slowly filling up with tears, that soon started sliding down his cheeks
• you quickly wrapped your arms around him, as he buried his face in his hands and curled up into your chest
• "it's okay Baby, you're safe with me now, everything's fine..."
• You found your own heart breaking at seeing Henry cry
• you swore you'd try your best, do anything to make him feel better
• a few minutes passed by..
• Henry's cries had died down at this point, but you were not ready to let him go
• although, you knew both of you were tired
• so you decided to lay back onto your bed, taking Henry with you
• "I'm guessing you don't want to talk about it.."
• he confirmed your statemend with a hum
• "so I'll try to get your mind off of it"
• you proceeded to tell him stupid jokes
• and funny stories about you and the boys
• "remember that one time Reggie caught Pat yelling at an old lady and locked him in his car for an hour?"
• he actually snickered at that
• and as you continued on and on, joking about stuping things the guys have done (mostly Patrick) Henry started to slowly return to his usual self
• "omg, and what about that time Reggie gave Greta Bowie a drawing of a Clown saying 'dis u?' It was so funny!!!"
• "I still remember her stupid expression"
• He made that comment with a goofy smile on his face aww
• your heart melted

• and like that, Henry forgot all about his stupid dream, not even remembering it the next day
• and you found yourself with a happy hendy cuddled into your arms, making jokes with you
• it felt like heaven as you two slowly drifted back to sleep
• "one thing Y/n" - Henry told you with a yawn - "you tell anyone about this and you're dead meat"
• planting a soft kiss on his forehead you told him
