Imee's POV
I woke up at exactly 7:30am and it took me 30 minutes to take a bath. I wore black and white above the knee dress then completed the outfit with black heels.

Well, hindi maganda ang gising ko ngayon cuz I feel like I don't wanna go to work. I just wanna stay home at matulog nalang maghapon but I don't have a choice. Hayst! So I tried calling Nurse Jen pero hindi sumasagot. I was about to turn off my phone but someone sent me a message that made me a little pissed.
From Rod:
Good morning my Lizzy. Don't forget to eat your breakfast before you go to work, okay? See you later❤️
After reading that message, I just rolled my eyes, turned off my phone and put on my glasses. I grab my car keys then straightly go to the garage. As I turned on the engine, Nurse Jen called me.
*On call
N. Jenny: Good morning Dr. Chavez. Sorry po hindi ko nasagot agad, kadarating ko lang po kasi dito sa hospital.
Imee: It's okay.
N. Jenny: May itatanong po ba kayo Doc?
Imee: Just wanna ask if anong oras na nga ba yung surgery ko mamaya?
N. Jenny: Oh about that surgery Doc, si Dr. Del Valle nalang daw po ang magpeperform non.
Imee: What? Seriously? Wh-why?
N. Jenny: I don't know Doc.
Imee: K fine so madami na bang pasyente ngayon?
N. Jenny: Wala pa nga po Doc eh.
Imee: Oh okay. Malalate lang ako saglit ha? May pupuntahan lang kasi ako.
N. Jenny: Sige po Doc.
I was about to hang-up but Nurse Jen speak up again.
N. Jenny: Ah Doc?
Imee: Yes?
N. Jenny: Bibili po ako ng kape sa cafeteria, may gusto din po ba kayong ipabili? Gusto niyo din po bang magkape?
Imee: Ang tagal na natin magkasama Nurse Jen, ni minsan ba nagpabili ako sayo ng kape? (Then raised her eyebrow)
N. Jenny: A-ah eh, si-sige Doc. Ingat nalang po kayo.
After Nurse Jenny tell those words, I didn't bother to speak up na. I just end it right away. Hayst! While driving going to the Metrobank, I saw Rod. He's with a girl so I stopped the car then tinignan ko sila from the side mirror. "Ang aga bakit nandito na 'tong lalaking toh? And who's that girl?" I was thinking kung tatawagan ko ba siya but naisip ko baka naman pinsan niya or katrabaho lang so I continue driving as fast as I can. At exactly 9am, nakarating na ako sa metrobank so I parked my car then straightly go inside the bank. The guard greeted me so I greet him back also. Buti nalang wala pa masyadong tao so I immediately approach the accountant and gave all my cards. They called me last week kasi and they inform me that I need to change my cards na. I also checked my transactions that I had made this month and I observe na medyo hindi ako magastos, big thanks to Rod HAHAHA.
It only took me 25 minutes to wait for my cards then pumunta na ako agad sa hospital. While walking going to my office, I notice na wala masyadong pasyente and that made me smile. Medyo natuwa ako ng kaunti dahil mukhang rounds lang gagawin ko ngayong araw. As I open the door, I saw Samantha and Stephen who's currently smiling towards me which made me confused.
Samantha: Good morning! Late ka ngayon ah.
Stephen: San ka pumunta? Sabi ni Nurse Jen may pinuntahan ka daw.
Imee: Yah, pumunta ako sa bangko. Nagpapalit ng cards.
Samantha: Bakit naman hindi ka nagsabi, Imee?! Tinawagan din ako kahapon eh, kailangan ko din daw magpapalit ng card.
Imee: Duh! Malay ko bang tinawagan ka (then wore her white coat and stethoscope)
Stephen: Bakit nagbago na ba?
Imee: Yah.
Samantha: Guys samahan niyo ako mamaya ha? Besides wala naman masyadong pasyente ngayon. Pwede tayong umuwi ng maaga (then smile)
Stephen: Exactly! (High five with Sam)
Imee: We can never be too sure about that. Baka mamayang lunch magdagsaan sila (then sit on her swivel chair)
Samantha: Wag naman sana. Nga pala, Si Gab na pala pupunta sa Medical Mission noh?
Imee: Yah.
Samantha: Sinong kasama niya?
Imee: I don't know.
Stephen: Hoy! Kayong dalawa, hindi ba talaga kayo pupunta ha?
Imee: No Stephen.
Samantha: Bakit ba? Gusto mo iwan ka namin dito?
Stephen: Tsk! Eh kasi naman, nag-random pick si Dr. Francisco ng mga nurses and isa ako sa mga napili (then frown)
Imee and Samantha: Kawawa ka naman (then laugh)
Stephen: Hayst! Maghahanap nalang ako ng lalaki doon.
Imee: Hoy! Ito talaga napakalandi. May boyfriend ka diba?
Stephen: Hmpft! Wala na kami.
Samantha: Na naman?!
Stephen: Oo. Tsaka okay na din, napakagastos kaya non.
Samantha: Sira talaga toh! (Referring to Stephen) By the way, I have to go. Basta mamaya samahan niyo ako if ever maaga tayong uuwi ha?
Imee and Stephen: Okay! (Then frown)
Samantha: Oh napipilitan kayo?
Imee: Medyo (then laugh)
Stephen: Ako, sobra..... Sobrang napipilitan ako (laugh sarcastically)
Samantha: Tsk! You guys don't have a choice noh. Sige alis na ako (stood up)
Stephen: Sasabay na ako. Alis na kami Imee. Sabay tayo maglunch mamaya mga bakla ha?
I didn't bother to say any words, I just nod and smile nalang. As Sam and Stephen went out of my office, I immediately open some docs then checked all my patient's record. Around 10am, I went out of my office then head to Gab's office cuz there are some findings na medyo hindi maintindihan. It took us 45 minutes to talk about it then after that bumalik na ako sa office para i-ayos ito cuz I need to do some rounds pa. I wanna make sure that all my patients are in a good condition. While walking pabalik ng office, nakasalubong ko si Nurse Jenny. She told me that Rod is waiting for me at my office. As I open the door, he stood up and smile.
Rod: Hi (then handed a bouquet of roses)
Imee: What are you doing here? (Then sit on her swivel chair)
Rod: Just checking on you cuz maghapon kami ngayon sa site malapit dito and baka hindi ako makakauwi sa bahay. Baka makikitulog nalang ako kina Nico or sa hotel nalang (then sit on the chair infront of Imee)
I was about to speak up but someone knocked the door and it's Sam.
Samantha: Imee, let's have lu— oh hi Mr. Laurel. You're here pala.
Rod: Yah, dinalaw ko lang si Imee cuz I'm busy na mamaya.
Samantha: Jusko naman! Hanggang ngayon may pabulaklak ka pa din? Lumang style na yan Architect (then laugh)
Imee: Why Sam?
Samantha: Kain na tayo. Si Stephen umalis lang saglit pero pabalik na daw.
Rod: Una na kayo Sam, sabay nalang kami ni Lizzy kakain.
Imee: Hi-hindi na Rod. Kina Sam nalang ako sasabay. Busy ka diba? Punta ka na sa trabaho mo.
Rod was about to speak but Samantha speak up first and she told me na mauuna na daw siya sa cafeteria. Sunod nalang daw ako kung gusto kong sumabay maglunch so I just nod then smile. As Sam left, Rod speak up.
Rod: Tara na, kain na tayo. Saan mo gusto kumain?..... Or better yet, sa cafeteria nalang din kaya tayo kumain para hindi na tayo umalis besides madami ka yatang ginagawa. Busy ba ang Doctor ko ngayon? (Pacute Face) You didn't even reply earlier. Are you okay?........ Are we okay?
Imee: Next time nalang Rod.
Rod: Huh? Bakit? Ayaw mo ba akong kasabay? Maayos naman ako tignan ah.
Imee: Hindi naman sa ganun. It's just that, oras ng trabaho ko ngayon.
Rod: You sure?
Imee: Yah. Anyways, thank you for these roses (then smile)
Rod: Always welcome Lizzy (smile back)
Imee: Ahm, a-anong oras ka nga pala pumunta sa site niyo kanina?
Rod: A-around 10am.
Imee: 10? Are you sure?
Rod: Yes Doc.
Imee: Hindi around 8:30 something?
Rod: Hindi. Na-nasa office pa ako non eh. Why?
Imee: Wala.
After telling those words, I look directly into his eyes and said "Bakit nagsisinungaling ka na? Simula palang sinabi ko na sayo na ayoko sa sinungaling, Rod. I don't know pero parang nawawalan na ako ng tiwala sayo. I'm sorry pero it's decreasing Rod (in her mind)" After a second, he snapped his finger. He's telling something pala.
Rod: Lizzy! Okay ka lang? Gutom ka na ata eh.
Imee: May kasama ka bang pumunta dito?
Rod: Wa-wala.
Imee: Okay.
Rod: Anong oras ka uuwi mamaya?
Imee: You should go.
Rod: Huh? Bakit? Kadarating ko palang Lizzy.
Imee: Mr. Laurel?
Rod: Yes Ms. Chavez?
Imee: Alam mo namang ayoko sa taong sinungaling diba?
Rod: Syempre naman tsaka I won't lie to you Lizzy, okay?
Imee: Sana nga......Sana nga napapanindigan mo yang sinasabi mo.
Rod got confused. He was about to speak but his phone ring but he reject it then placed it on the table.
Imee: That call might be important. Why did you reject it?
Rod: Cuz I'm with you Lizzy.
I was about to speak up but his phone ring again. I saw the caller's name and it's Franky.
Imee: Si Franky lang pala, sagutin mo na kaya.
Rod: Mamaya na.
Imee: You know what, you should go.
Rod: Li— (didn't finished his words cuz Imee speak up)
Imee: Go.
Rod: Si-sige. Mukhang pagod ka ata. I'll call you later nalang, okay? Don't forget to eat your lunch.
I didn't speak basta tinignan ko lang siya.
Rod: Sige, I'll call you nalang.
After Rod tell those words, he smile and went out of my office. I just sigh deeply and lean my back on my swivel chair. "Nasa office? How come nasa office ka? Eh nakita kita kanina eh. God! Rod you know already na ayaw ko sa taong sinungaling and yet ginagawa mo na. For what? Aurgh! Sino yun? May iba ka na ba? (In her mind)" I was distract cuz someone knocked the door.
Imee: Come in
Stephen: Sam called me and pinapatanong niya kung sasabay ka daw ba? Tara na, sabay na tayo. Papunta palang din ako.
Imee: Sige.
I immediately stood up then went out of my office. While walking Stephen speak up.
Stephen: Okay ka lang?
Imee: Y-yah. Why do you ask?
Stephen: Parang may malalim ka kasing iniisip jan eh?
Imee: Ano ka ba! Wala noh. Gutom lang ako.
Stephen: Oh okay. By the way, pinuntahan ka ba ni Mr. Laurel?
Imee: Yah. Why?
Stephen: Wala naman, natanong ko lang. Lumabas kasi ako kanina at nakita ko sila sa parking area that's why I ask. Wala naman kasing ibang sadya yun dito kundi ikaw lang. Hmpft! Sana all talaga pinupuntahan kahit malayo.
After hearing those words, I stop and faced Stephen which made him confused.
(Dr. Chavez be like)
Imee: What do you mean sila?
Stephen: Sila ni Franky, magkasama sila kanina noh. Kakausapin ko nga sana sila kaso dumating na yung kapatid ko.
Imee: Sigurado ka?
Stephen: Oo. Si Rod nga lang yung bumaba eh, naiwan lang si Franky doon sa sasakyan.
Imee: Tsk! Sige gumawa ka pa ng kwento, baklang toh! (then rolled her eyes)
Stephen: I'm not making kwento Imee. Totoo nga! Ba-Bakit hindi ba niya sinabi sayo?
I didn't bother to answer Stephen na, I just continue to walk papunta sa cafeteria. "Again?! He lied again. Tsk! Why?! Sabi niya wala siyang kasama papunta dito. Siya pa ba yung dating Rod na kilala ko? (In her mind)" I just sigh deeply then ordered some food na. It took us half an hour eating our lunch. All of them were talking about their personal stuffs while ako naman tahimik lang cuz I keep on thinking about those lies. Hayst! To be honest, napapaisip na ako kung kelan siya nagsimulang magsinungaling sa akin. Sana talaga hindi ko nalang siya nakita kanina at sana wala nalang din nabanggit si Stephen.
