"Cale,"

A stoic voice called out to him,

She had a neat and primly tight bun on top of her head. Her chin was proudly raised and she used a extravagant and proper dressing with no visible flaw--

"Welcome back"

a small smile graced her lips like a practiced gesture, though there was warmth evident in it to those who know her well.

Something Cale chose to not acknowledge; but appreciated.

"I'm back,"

Cale greeted her back, loosening his hold of his two younger siblings.

.

.

.

Cale kept his lips curled up as he greeted everyone he came across. Though it was a hassle to do, his facial muscles were so used to doing it, he doesn't even had to try.

His family, The Vassal's, The Servants...

He greeted them all one by one;

Every one, but one person. Someone he hadn't seen since his arrival. Not even a hair strand.

He must've been busy,

"...Cale, your father--"

Violan, began when she saw him looking around. She must have thought he was searching for his father.

"Yes?"

"He... had to go somewhere this morning." Her eyes trailed down towards his braided hair that ran down from the side of his shoulder, something that had grown quite a bit than before. Even the uneven cut was no longer visible.

"He had to visit a Duchess Sonata in the southwest,"

"Is that so?"

"It is so."

"He must have been very busy"

Violan seemed uncomfortable, and Cale was more than happy to stop the conversation. But she continued on.

"Yes, The winter solstice will happen soon. And since The Henituse are in charge of this years preparation, your Father has been rather busy."

She explained even though she didn't have to. Cale could even see the dark circles forming under her eyes.

The winter solstice...

He almost forgot about that,

That must have been the reason why everyone seemed to be dressed more stuffier than usual.

"Speaking of which, aren't you cold?"

She was probably referring to the lack of coat and layers that were on Cale's body. It was to be expected,

Cale hadn't changed nor add anything to warm his skin.

He probably should have, but the problem lays on the fact he didn't even noticed the changing of the temperature, nor the drop of it.

In reply, Cale could only laugh a bit;

"The excitement of coming back must have blown it all away,"

. . .

Hans who stood behind the countess kept his head low in a semi bowing position.

He had already noticed the young master's lack of coat since he got out of the carriage. But couldn't say anything as it wasn't his place to do so. Though... That wasn't the thing he was focused on.

His Young master...

He doesn't even seemed like he was bothered with the cold.

Hans couldn't help his eyes from trailing towards Cale's shoulder where the scar was at.

Was it...

Hans shook his head,

His young master had already ordered him to keep quiet about it. And he doesn't have any reason to disobey since the person who was affected didn't even bat an eye on his condition.

"Hans,"

Hans look up and saw one of his co-worker called out to him, "We should start unpacking the young master's things"

"Ah, Yes"

Hans walk towards the carriage and entered the cart. He began Packing all the things inside--

Srrrtt...

His feet touched a basket filled with cloths.

"Hans,"

A hand was placed on top of his shoulder as a soft breath was whispered next to his ear.

Hans had to bit his lips in order not to just jump and scream in surprise.

"Bring the basket into my room and dont let anyone, even you, see what's inside. Ok?"

Hans swore, he could feel his young master's benign smile like that fox faced superior of his when he drawled out those words.

"Yes, young master"

What ever was inside the basket. It was something dangerous.

. . .

Cale knocked onto the door and immediately opened it, not bothering to wait since he knew no one would even answer it.

Light immediately greets him as soon as he opens the door,

A single large stained glass that reach from the floor till the ceiling, and a wide marble table that spread along the window lites.

Serrounding it, were dozens of bookshelves filled with written or spoken records.

This was the main library of the Henituse Family.

Something that was probably only second to the Royal families collection.

And...

Cale went deeper into the library,

There wasn't any hidden contraption or passage ways, but there were tons of alarms placed serounding the area. More tightly than the other places.

Some of the Thames's books that his mother had brought with her were also stored here.

Cale took one of them and opened a page,

"Blank,"

He muttered, flipping another page.

"Just like she said,"

Cale pulled out a lighter out of his pocket and flicked it on, puting it under the paper.

Dim fire light the small passageway between the shelf's and...

There was it,

"A wordless record,"

There wasn't any hidden contraption or passage way to hide these books. And although the security was rather tight.

No one could know the contents if they don't know how to put the puzzles together.

And if they want a more detailed text...

Cale bit his thumb and smeared his blood onto the paper, letting the pages absorb the liquid.

This time, diagrams and drawings showed up, filling the entire book.

Only those with the red blood will have access to it.

It was the same mechanics with the diary his mother had left for him.

Cale leaned back the the shelf behind him and scanned the book in his hand.

In all honesty, he doesn't really understand much about what was being explained in the book. But he at least got the gist of it.

But this wasn't the one he was looking for.

He was looking for a more specific kind of book,

Something that was related to the Gods.

.

.

.

While Cale was busy scavenging throughout the Library.

A gush of wind swept open the window of the red heads room, letting a figure roughly land inside with a thud.

Setting the alarms off.

Tattered wings and disheveled hair-- what once was holy and white was now grey and muddled.

Blood was starting to form a puddle at the base of his feet.

"Who is here?!?!?"

Two guards slammed opened the door, pointing their spear and sword towards the hunched figure that was kneeling on the ground.

"Sleep,"

The two guards couldn't even do a thing before they blacked out. Fainting towards the ground.

The figure swept his long hair back and stretched his wings out.

"I'm back... Young master,"
