GETO SUGURU

Days gone by pretty quickly, she barely manages to catch up. Ever since she started living under one roof with Satoru, everything started to get better in one way or another.

Her sleep, her mood, the thoughts that haunted her everyday, her physical condition and even her zest for life increased.

Simply put into words, she was happy she could have a second chance.. that she gave Satoru a chance too. No matter how much her fears ate her up from time to time, she could never imagine going back to the lonely life she was supposed to lead.

2 months passed since that night in the hotel room with him. She was never in close proximity after that with him. She didn't know if that is supposed to make her happy or upset.

She feels conflicted inside.

However she treats him the same and if he ever tried to get closer, for either comfort or satisfaction - she cannot imagine refusing him.

But he keeps his distance, perhaps it's for the best.

Today is the day of his return from his mission, since he is the strongest, he is always busy. He is barely at home and he swears he is getting tired of it.

That's why he wanted to change a bit and trade some of his missions for teaching.

That's what he told her.

When she first heard that, it made her laugh, doubt him and even mock him because she thought he didn't mean it.

Until he stared her dead in the eyes.

She found it still a bit unbelievable, but accepted it nonetheless. As the seconds passed by, she stared at the statue she was currently making.. wondering if there is something she can add or do to make it look even better.

And as her thoughts consumed her, she forgot about her surroundings. Her golden eyes stared at the statue until a voice broke the silence.

"You're going to enjoy making that part aren't you?"

Suddenly, she heard a voice she didn't hear in quiet awhile as her heart skipped a beat in shock.

Ryuna turned to look at him, giving him a questioning look before shifting her attention back to the sculpture she was trying to create.

Than she realized as her eyes landed on the crotch of the man she was trying to sculpt.

She just frowned and cocked her head towards him again, giving him a questioning look.

Why would he ask that out of nowhere?

-"Don't women enjoy it?"

"No?"

-"No??"

"Well some of them yes, but why would you ask such a thing."

Ryuna just laughed it off afterwards and placed her tools down, walking towards him. He seemed so calm and innocent even though he pointed out such a dirty reference.

Sometimes she wondered if he had no shame or no brain whatsoever. But she shrugged it off and looked up at him, noticing that he once again relied on that white blindfold.

With a sigh she flicked his forehead even though it felt like she didn't. She knew what's up right away and her eyebrows twitched in annoyance.

"Turn that shit off when you're with me."

She said and he chuckled at her blunt answer, obeying her words and letting her flick his forehead. He clicked his tongue and rested his head on the doorframe he was leaning against.

"What was that for?"

He asked with a smile gracing his features. Ryuna almost gave him a pouty face as she walked past him to get to the kitchen.

"Cause you're late."

She answered and sighed.

"Though I shouldn't be surprised."

She added and walked over to the kitchen counter, on top of it a plate with delicious looking meal she prepared for him, yet it was sitting there from morning till evening, it wasn't good anymore.

With a disappointed look she grabbed the plate and threw the food into the bin, making him frown a bit.

"Why did you throw it out?"

He asked, pushing himself off the doorframe and taking a few deliberate steps towards her.

"You said you'll be back in the morning, so I made you breakfast. But it's not good anymore, that's why."

She sighed and looked up at him, he looked a bit apologetic, but he didn't apologize, he just shrugged and leaned against the kitchen counter.

Though he felt a bit upset about the meal, he decided to change the subject as he tilted his head to her, his smile reappearing as he spoke.

"So.. did you make up your mind?"

He asked curiously, his voice almost filled with excitement, as if he was a small child. At that she couldn't help but stiffen.

"About what?"

Ryuna replied wondering which offer did he mean this time.

"To come to jujutsu high back and help me teaching and also.."

He spoke up, his tone softening a bit. He sounded hopeful to say the least. She hummed and her golden eyes locked on his white blindfold.

"Also?"

She got a bit curious as she waited for him to spit it out.

"I want to introduce you to one person. You're going to love that kid."

He let out a throaty chuckle, his small dimples showing as he turned around and borrowed some green tea. She noticed the slight proudful undertone in his voice.

She couldn't deny the smile that formed on her face as she nodded

"I will reconsider.. but I am excited to see this person. It seems you are kinda attached though, not gonna lie. Didn't you use to hate kids?"

She nudged his arm and he kept smiling as he nudged her back and turned the teakettle on.

"I told you people change, didn't I?"

He smirked and crossed arms on his chest, leaning against the counter once more and waiting for his water to boil.

"Besides.. he is blessed. He will be once as strong as me if he'll work hard enough."

He said and she nodded, understanding what he meant after all. However as she stared at him a bit more in silence, something settled her off and she couldn't decide what it was.

"How was your mission?"

She asked at first, wondering if she could gouge some reaction out of him.

"As usual Ryu, nothing new, no challange."

He feigned sadness and pouted as he tilted his head back, letting out a quiet groan.

"You sure about that?"

She asked and took a step closer to him, her golden eyes fluttering between his crossed arms, lips and that white blindfold she wanted to take off so badly.

"Yeah, why?"

He asked and tilted his head down from it's position, as if to face her. She sighed and hesitantly reached up, stopping right in front of his face.

Silence filled the room, the only thing that could take off their minds away from the tension that built between them was the sound of the bubbling water and whistling of the teakettle.

She didn't know why, she touched him before like this, but now she seemed to get nervous and hesitate.

He didn't fail to notice as he took a sharp breath and leaned into her hands, her fingers unwrapping the white blindfold eventually.

And when she did so, she couldn't help but to see those slight dark circles underneath his eyes.

He had his reversed cursed energy, his mind should keep fresh at all times. He shouldn't get so tired.. only if he didn't get any ounce of natural sleep. It is needed after all.

With a slight frown she placed the blindfold on the counter and leaned closer, turning off the teakettle before turning to look at him again, his eyes following her every movement.

"Satoru."

She said, her word soft spoken as if trying to understand the situation he put himself in.

As he heard her say his name, he averted his gaze from her. Maybe he felt a bit guilty, but he couldn't just push her away and say everything is fine when she seems to care so much.

It would hurt her, wouldn't it?

That's what he thought.

As he turned his face away from her, her fingers touched his chin and she guided his head towards her back.

The way she looked at him, those beautiful golden eyes that he loved to look into so much.. it made his insides melt. His eyebrows relaxed, tension built inside his body releasing as he locked his gaze with her.

"It's nothing."

He answered, his voice not above a whisper, but she knew he wasn't being truthful. However she knew better than to get mad at him as she took a deep breath, closing her eyes before her hand let go of his chin and reached up to brush hair away from his forehead instead.

"Tell me."

She said,

"You know you can."

Her voice a soothing melody to his ears as he frowned and she saw the way his expression faded into something he almost never showed.

Vulnerability, unease.. maybe a hint of anger mixed with sadness.

His eyebrows raised, his eyes closed and corners of his lips curled downwards ever so slightly.

"Suguru.. he.."

He said, finally opening his eyes. Yet he didn't dare to look up into hers, he knew if he did, he would feel even worse in some way.

She clenched her jaw and her hand returned to it's original place.

She didn't need explanation, his name alone made her realize the gravity of the situation. During those 2 months she learned more about Geto and his actions.. his.. sins and ideals.

And no matter how much she refused to accept it and gaslighted herself it isn't so bad.. everytime he killed or wiped out a village, she felt a knot form in her stomach in disgust.. sadness and anger.

She simply couldn't understand his motives.

His view on the world.

It was all so twisted, that it was far beyond false.

With a sharp inhale, she took a step back and curled her fingers into fists.

"I'll go see him."

She suddenly blurted out, her tone sounding confident and genuine, full of determination.

At that, Satoru's ears perked up and his eyes widened slightly. He felt a pang of guilt washing over him when he realized he probably shouldn't have said anything about Suguru.

"Ryuna that ain't a good ide-"

But before he could even finish his sentence, she cut him off and harshly grabbed the spare keys of his apartment he gave her.

"Don't stop me."

She answered and left, slamming the door after her.

He bit his lip, knowing he can't do anything about it. He just grabbed the teakettle filled with hot water, pouring it into his cup. But he was in distress, which caused him to spill some of it on his skin and since his thoughts were filled with the situation at hand, he forgot to turn his infinity back on.

He hissed and healed the burned skin right away, settling the kettle down as he closed his eyes and let out a frustrated sigh.

But no words could come out, his thoughts just drifted off to Ryuna and Suguru and how it all will end up.

Yet he knows deep down he cannot interfere.

And besides.. he has trust in both of them, in Ryuna that she won't do anything stupid. And in Suguru that he wouldn't harm her.

The moon came up on the clear sky, she decided to move through streets quickly.
It is not far.
It can't be.
She can sense it, she can sense him. That awful energy that is lingering all around him thanks to his huge collection of different curses.

The night was darker then she expected, however that did not bother her anymore as she finally sensed him. A strangling scent that made her nose scrunch. An unpleasant sight for her half blind eyes.

Ryuna swiftly came through his protection barrier and walked slowly further and further until she knew that he is no longer hiding. She could feel his cursed energy nearing.

He probably already sensed her presence in the veil he put up, there is no denying to it.. she will finally speak with him.

Face to face.

And there he was, his long hair untied, getting ruffled by the cold breeze that the night brought. She felt her breath catch up in her throat, her body stiffen at the sight.

A strange feeling started to build up inside her stomach and heart, her throat getting sore as her fingers twitched.

The sight of the boy, of the man she once knew made her eyes well up with tears. Was there any denying to the feelings she once felt for him?

He always treated her right, did he change so much not to recognize her? She wonders as she observed him while he turned around.

His stoic expression changing, his eyes widening and his lips parting when he saw her.

She could see, hear and feel what he went through inside his mind. The chaos and loudness of his thoughts. And the words that slipped out of his lips made her heart ache.

"What is this."

He asked, his tone clearly calm, but she could feel the sudden shift in his demeanor. His composed facade crumbled and he frowned in disbelief.

"You.. what are you?"

He asked, almost desparately to know the truth behind what he sees and senses. Her cursed energy, is still the same, her face, her features, her body.. everything.

She takes a step closer and it takes everything in him not to move.

"Hi.."

She spoke up and even if her previous plan was to slap him, maybe take out her anger on him. She couldn't help but soften when she saw him so surprised, so vulnerable.. she felt the affection she once had for him all those years ago.

He couldn't speak nor move, he just stood there.. stiffened and confused as she approached him.

With every step she took, he felt his heart beat increase. And the closer she got to him, her feet moved faster and faster. When she finally was close enough to reach him, she didn't hesitate, she didn't over think.. she followed her senses that told her to do it.

She grasped his shirt, pulling him into a tight embrace.

She didn't care if he didn't reciprocate it, she didn't care how confused and conflicted he was. And if somebody asked her why she did it, she wouldn't have an answer. She just felt like she had to.

No matter how much he changed, she felt strong affection towards him.

"Suguru.. can't you remember..?"

He felt like his heart flew out of his chest when she spoke, he lost his cool and he couldn't back away from it.

He felt his fingers twitch and he didn't hold back anymore as he hugged her back, his strong arms holding her close to his warm body. His eyes closing as he placed his face against her silky hair.

"How.."

He whispered so gently she could melt. She felt how her tears started to fall. No matter how angry she wanted to get, she couldn't.

"It's a long story."

She said and a small sad smile grazed her features as her fingers fondled the fabric of his huge black shirt he wore.

"Suguru.."

She whispered and his ears perked up at the soft sound of his name coming out of her lips.

He wondered what she has to say.

"Come back."

She pleaded, her voice tender and sweet like never before, but he felt the sadness in it too. With a frustrated frown he shook his head.

He had a soft spot for her, just like for Satoru, especially now. But he couldn't. No matter how much they begged, how hurt they looked. He swore to fulfill his dreams, his ideals he set inside his mind.

"I can't."

He spoke up, his hands caressing her back, one of them slowly tracing up to her nape. His thumb moving against her sensitive skin almost tantalizingly.

That was the moment her sight became clearer, the feelings she felt towards Suguru were a bit slightly different to what she felt towards Satoru.

It was a physical temptation, invitation for her to give in. Their eyes locked and she felt her breath hitch.

"Suguru."

She breathed out and he leaned closer ever so slightly, tension between them rising by every second that passed.

"Yes?"

He asked, feeling the same strong pull towards her like all those years ago.

She could feel their breaths mingle as their proximity grew. At last, she let her eyelids close as she gave in, her hands grasping his shirt ever so slightly.

Their lips connected in a seering kiss, his touch on her nape still gentle while his other hand moved down to the small of her back, pulling her close.

He hummed and closed his eyes, feeling the soft lingering taste of the chocolate she ate earlier on her tongue. It was sweet and it made him want more.

She felt how her body became more light when this happened, her mind blank and the tantalizing feeling to do more overwhelmed her.

She always felt something towards Suguru, the way he always treated her so nicely, their talks and fun exchanged during the school years.

However she also felt something towards Satoru, that was something on a deeper level. A connection she cannot break no matter what happened.

Ryuna was beyond conflicted.

She loved Satoru with her very heart.. and with Suguru, she was tempted. Tempted to try something new.

She knew it was to no good.. but how could she deny herself the feeling of something so good?

They broke the kiss, their saliva still connected their lips. His eyes were filled with longing and lust, almost desire. He wondered why she came so suddenly, he hoped he would get an explanation.

But that was the last thing on his mind in the moment, he licked his lips and his hands slipped down on her hips, caressing them as he pulled her even closer.

"I don't know how.. or what happened. But I missed you.. I am glad."

He smiled, God.. how she loved that smile of his. So teasing and for what?
She let out a breath and her hands went to his neck, rubbing his skin, making her way up as her fingers reached his long silky black hair.

Her thumbs on sides of his face as she pulled him closer.

"I don't know why.. you turned out this way. I didn't want to believe it and I was upset and.. and angry and I.."

She started,

"I came here.. to tell you something, anything, to change your mind."

She said and tried to explain, he only leaned into her touch and a small smirk appeared on his lips.

"And?"

He asked, almost playfully.

"Did your little plan work out?"

Suguru said, his voice dropping to a low murmur, teasing her senses as she felt butterflies fill her stomach.

She gulped and looked down, feeling a bit of shame and sadness. She realized there is no coming back and that he won't change his mind no matter what she will do or say.

His confidence gave it away.

"No.."

She whispered and his hands traveled up to her waist, holding her firmly as he tilted his head slightly downwards to face her, to make her look at him.

She did look, her pretty golden eyes filled with tears again as he only smiled and kissed her again, this time in a rougher way.

She almost let out a whimper at how rough he was, but she enjoyed it and reciprocated the kiss right away. Her tears fell and she felt horrible when she realized she made a mistake.

But she couldn't butt out now, she is too far in it.

So she decided to enjoy it while it lasts, her eyes closed as her hands traveled further into his hair and her lips moved passionately against his, their tongues meeting as he frowned and deepened the kiss further.

Soon she felt how he locked her tongue between his teeth before sucking on it. She didn't expect it and it made her body react in a way it never did before.

She moaned, shivered and held onto his hair even more.

Soon he released her tongue and gave her swift sweet and wet pecks on her jaw, going lower on her neck.

She held him close, her eyes closing, her lips parting as she tilted her head to the side and that only gave him better access to her neck. Her breathing got slightly heavier, his lips stuck to her skin as he bit and sucked on it.

"Suguru..!"

He panted when he finally stopped, his mind blank and filled with only desire for her as he resumed with his soft wet pecks on her chin and lips.

"Ryuna.. stay here."

He whispered, his hands caressing her waist and she felt the way she stiffened. If she did, Satoru would be so upset.

Only than she realized just how upset he would be if he knew what she just did.

Her stomach churned at the way she got disgusted by her own actions. As much as she wanted to keep this going and give into Suguru's invitation.. she couldn't.

She wouldn't be able to live with it.

Her words got stuck in her throat and she parted her lips.

"I.. I can't."

She muttered and slowly took a step back. He felt a pang of confusion and sadness in his heart, but decided to keep it in and release her from his hold.

"Why?"

He breathed out and she looked down in guilt, her hands almost shaking.

"Suguru.. I came here.. because when Satoru came back home.. he looked so devasted. So.. upset. And I.. I wanted to do something about it."

She tried to be as truthful as she could, her golden eyes locked on the ground underneath her as he let his gaze rest on her distressed frame. He couldn't blame her, however what truly threw him off was..

"You were with Satoru?"

She gulped and nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me right away?"

He asked as if guilty for his own actions, his own greediness. His hand went up to his hair, he touched it and slicked it back with a sigh.

"I am sorry.. I just--I saw you and I couldn't resist. I.."

She said, confessing her own confusing feelings that couldn't even be put to words.

"Let me get this straight."

He spoke up, his voice gentle as ever.

"I can't come back, I would get executed. That's one thing, the other is that I don't even want to come back, Ryuna. I've changed.. and I've told this to Satoru once and I will say it to you too."

He said and her eyes finally glanced at him as he let his arms fall to his sides before he put his hands back into his pockets.

" I've decided how I want to live. "

He spoke up, his tone unwavering.

" So now I'll just do what I can for the sake of it."

She felt how she let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding. It was really true, his ideals weren't the same.

And even if he killed people and went on like nothing happened.. she could still see the man she once adored.

Her eyes softened and she took slow steps back, one after another. With every land of her foot, a stinging pain was sent into her heart.

She knew she won't see him anytime soon, she also knew that his fate cannot be changed.

And she has to live with that reality.

Who is she to beg and help someone who doesn't want help. He is happy, she can see that.

"Suguru.."

She spoke up one last time, his body reacting right away as he looked at her warmly.

" Take care of yourself."

She whispered,

" While you can.."

With that, her figure disappeared from his sight and he felt his expression return back to his usual relaxed one.

He would lie if he said he didn't feel upset, but the only one he could blame for this sadness is he himself.

He was aware of the pain he caused Satoru and Ryuna, but it was only a little sacrifice for the fulfillment of his desires, his ideals.

His fate and future.

That night, she came home late, the clock was ticking past 2am.
Her mind was filled with thoughts on what could have been and she succumbed to the allure of the alcohol to make herself feel better.

Cause there was no way she could forget what happened this night.

And Satoru was right..
She shouldn't have gone and see him.
