Dinner was fairly pleasant. Everyone engaged in conversation for the most part. However after dinner and a couple hours later, everyone had fallen asleep. Madison and Travis in one room, to the right of them was Daniel. Across the hall from Madison and Travis was Chris. Beside Chris and across from Daniel was Ophelia. On the other side of Ophelia was Rue. Across from Rue and beside Daniel was Alicia. Then the end was Y/n, with a couple rooms in between.
Y/n however wasn't asleep. Or well couldn't sleep, so instead she's been roaming the house and has oddly, to her, made her way to Alicia's room making sure to be as quiet as possible as she passed everyone's room. She slowly opened the door and peaked in finding the back of Alicia, who seemed to be asleep. A small smile spread to Y/n's lips as she walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed before reaching up, placing her hand on Alicia's arm gently shaking the girl. Instantly Alicia jumps awake and turns, the two of their eyes locking.
"Y/n, what the-"
Y/n reaches her hand up, placing her index finger to her lips. "Come on, I wanna show you something." Y/n flicked her eyes back and forth between Alicia's eyes as Alicia slowly nods. Y/n smiles gently, standing up and heading to the door. Alicia slips off the covers and slips out of the bed while putting on her shoes. Once she's got them on she hurries to Y/n's side. Y/n peaks out her head, looking up and down the hallway before glancing over her shoulder to Alicia. Gently the girl reaches over and takes Alicia's hand in her own, not thinking much of it but Alicia couldn't help the way her stomach turned when she felt Y/n's hand. But she said nothing as the two headed up stairs and to a door.
"Y/n, what is-"
"Do you trust me?" Y/n asks, cutting the girl off and stopping them. Y/n glances over her shoulder, locking eyes with Alicia's. Alicia's green eyes gently flick back and forth between Y/n's as a sudden change appears in Y/n's eyes. Slowly, Alicia nods her head up and down. A small smile slowly spreads to Y/n as she nods turning her head away from the girl and they go through the door. There a cool breeze hits the both of them. The dark surrounding them with only the moon and stars being the source of light.
"Wow," Alicia breathes our, letting her eyes roam the space. Y/n glances to the girl before carefully moving the two across the roof. Yet when they edged closer to the spot Alicia tilted her head as soon as the two stopped walking.
"Y/n, what is going-"
"Remember when we used to do this except it was always on your rooftop?" Y/n gently cuts the girl off letting go of Alicia's hand and taking a seat on the blanket she had set up. Once she's seated she holds out her hand, feeling Alicia grab it and help the girl to sit. And when she's seated their hands separate.
"Yeah, we used to sit on my rooftop after everyone in my house went to sleep or when we needed one another," Alicia gently replied as Y/n pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.
"We needed each other a lot," Y/n whispered, Alicia barely able to hear it, but she did. She looks to Y/n, biting her lip. The other girl, stays with her knees drawn to her chest looking out into the night. The moon shining brightly above them. But Alicia was focused on the girl beside her. Her green eyes analyzing Y/n's side profile soon noticing burn marks up the side of the neck. She noticed them earlier but seeming them closer, she couldn't even imagine how bad it hurt. She couldn't even imagine what Y/n had went through. Alicia clenches her jaw, tearing her eyes from Y/n, a low sigh beginning to wither it's way out from her lips only causing Y/n to then turn her head to the Clark sibling.
"You remember that one time sophomore year when I almost fell off the roof of your house?" Y/n asks, a small smile on her lips. She wanted to break the silence and the memory came quickly to her. Alicia picked up her head and turned her attention back on the girl, immediately being met with Y/n's soft smile. Alicia's lips slowly curved up to a smile and she slowly nodded.
"Yeah, you thought it'd be a good idea to sneak alcohol and then get us drunk," Alicia chuckled, the memories flooding back a bit.
Y/n scoffed. "Hold on now because my memory serves me that you wanted to forget a certain somebody, so then I suggested the alcohol." Y/n wiggles her eyebrows as Alicia rolls her eyes slightly bumping into Y/n. Y/n's body moves a bit before coming right back, chuckling.
"God, I regret so many decisions from that year," Alicia sighed, still both of them chuckling.
"Mmhm. I'm sure you regret Tommy Davidson's tongue down your throat so much," Y/n spoke, exaggerating her sentence causing Alicia's lips to form an 'o'. Another chuckle escapes Y/n as she shakes her head. "Kidding, kidding. Sort of."
"Okay fine- What about Kennedy Wallace? I bet you regretted sticking your tongue down her throat so much," Alicia fought back, using the same sarcastic tone Y/n did. The name rang through Y/n's head as laughs escaped her. Alicia watched as the girl in front of her threw her head back, not being able to stop laughing.
"Really? Kennedy Wallace? God damn-" Y/n pauses trying to gather herself. "I barely even remembered her. I think I was trying to get pay back-" Y/n immediately stops talking, her lips closing. Alicia notices and tilts her head.
"Pay back who?" Alicia questions, squinting at Y/n. Y/n's lips calm to a small smile as she shakes her head, tearing her eyes from the green eyed girl.
"Eh, doesn't matter. It's in the past." A small silence surrounds the two as Y/n looks back out to the area, letting her eyes roam about. Alicia however, kept her focus on Y/n briefly before looking out too. However her mind was running wild as Y/n's words were playing over in her head. She bit her bottom lip, confusion written all over her face but said nothing. And it wasn't till Y/n coughed that either one of them spoke again.
"Do you miss him?" Y/n asked her voice low. She slowly turns her head to Alicia who turns her head to Y/n.
"Who?"
"Matt." Alicia looks down, away from Y/n's eyes, slowly nodding. "Sorry for asking, I saw the drawing on your arm that you made into a tattoo. Matt drew it on you the day everything went to hell, I just..." Y/n let her voice trail seeing Alicia shift uncomfortably, nodding.
"It's okay, Y/n," Alicia whispers, shrugging. "Do you miss your aunt?"
"Yeah, a lot actually... You know she loved you right?"
"What?"
"Anytime you came over and you left, she'd go on and on about you. How kind you were, helpful. She even offered to make you food when your dad passed-"
"Didn't she make me food anyway?" Alicia asked and a chuckle escapes Y/n's lips.
"She baked you those chocolate chip cookies that I brought you after the fact." Y/n nods, both of their faces wore a smile looking at one another.
"They were pretty good."
"They were but we were so sick after eating all 25 of them." Both of them burst into a laughter.
"Yeah that was pretty dumb of us. But hey, they were so good."
Y/n nods, letting their laughter die down a bit before leaning back, placing her hands behind her. Alicia's green eyes slowly following.
"I missed this," Y/n spoke gingerly, looking at Alicia. Their eyes lock, a smile dangling on Alicia's lips. "I missed you A."
"I missed you too, Y/N/N (your nick name)," Alicia whispered, keeping her smile. Y/n's lips curved up, flicking her eyes back and forth between Alicia's eyes. Silence filling the space between them till Alicia slowly starts to lean towards Y/n, her eyes going from Y/n's eyes to her lips back to her eyes but Y/n, oblivious to what Alicia was doing turned away and sat up just as the sound of the window behind them creaked. Alicia looked swiftly behind them, Y/n following to find Madison standing at the window, poking out her head.
"I figured I'd find you two up here," Madison spoke, causing Alicia to look down at the ground, briefly glancing at Y/n before looking back at her mother.
"Sorry, my fault," Y/n spoke, giving a brief side smile towards Madison.
Madison shakes her head. "It's okay. You two should really get some sleep though. So come on." Madison motioned her hand for the two of the girls to come back in. Y/n and Alicia nod. Y/n stands up swiftly holding out her hand to Alicia. Alicia hesitantly reaches up and grabs a hold of Y/n's hand as Y/n pulls her up, letting the Clark sibling go first. Alicia begins walking towards the window, Y/n gently picking up the blanket. Their hands staying locked as they walk. However once they get to the window, Y/n let's go of Alicia's hand allowing the girl to get through the window, yet when Alicia goes through the window she hits her foot on the bottom and goes to slip, Y/n immediately dropping the blanket and c at hi g the girl as she began falling backwards.
The two hesitate. Alicia's eyes glance up to lock eyes with Y/n's. A small smirk inching to Y/n's lips as she nods.
"Just like old times," Y/n whispers, Alicia slowly nodding before Madison came back to the window. She held out her hand and Y/n gently pushed Alicia up, causing Alicia's eyes to go to her mother. Instantly she reaches forward taking her mother's hand and goes through the window. Once Alicia's through, Y/n goes right in after turning around and closing the window. Silence is between all three of them walking back to the rooms, except when Madison goes into her room it leaves Alicia and Y/n alone walking quietly down the hall. But they don't say anything. Not till they stop at Alicia's room and Y/n gently grabs Alicia's wrist stopping her from going into the room.
Slowly Alicia turns her head locking their eyes in the dark.
"If you ever want to go up there to talk or hang out, you know where to find me," Y/n whispers causing Alicia to nod her head up and down, a small smile on her lips.
"Same for you-" Alicia pauses as she slowly pulls her arm away from Y/n. Y/n let's her fingers slip off of the green eyed girl and nods. "Good night Y/n."
"Good night Alicia." And with that Y/n takes a step back as Alicia goes into the room, beginning to close the door, watching Y/n walk away from the door. Once Y/n was out of view, Alicia sunk her teeth into her bottom lip, closing her eyes together completely shutting the door. As soon as it shuts she leans her head against the door and shakes her head, her mind rolling with thoughts. The same thoughts she used to have back before the world went to shit.
