No one's POV
Hailey and Milly were hanging out in Hailey's room. Milly brought her guitar to practice
"You're room's pretty cool" Milly smiled. "Thanks" Hailey smiled back, tuning her own guitar. Milly and Hailey had been dating for a while now, and Milly wanted to perform a duet song with Hailey. But didn't wanna ask. Not cause she was nervous too. ....well, okay she was. But she was used to mostly playing guitar. She was great at singing, but not as good as Hailey
"Milly?"
Milly snapped back to attention, looking at Hailey. "Are you okay?" the turquoise haired girl asked. "You're very quiet and that's not like you at all..."
Milly shrugged. "Sure, why wouldn't I be?"
"I dunno.." Hailey said before hugging Milly. "You ready to play?"
Milly nodded and grabbed her guitar. As she started playing and Hailey started singing, all Milly could do was look at her amazing girlfriend. She wasn't distracted, and was able to play just fine. It was like Hailey kept her in focus
At one point, Hailey made eye contact with Milly. She smiled while singing, and Milly smiled back as he'd face turned as pink as her hair

Hailey and Milly finished the song, and immediately smiled at each other. Milly placed her guitar down gently against the wall and ran to Hailey, hugging her. "That was awesome!" she said, and Hailey nodded. Milly looked at the clock on Hailey's night stand. "Wanna go play video games? Or we could order in something to eat!"
Hailey shrugged, and began to look through her book of sheet music. "Suit yourself!" Milly said "I'll get the phone!"
She went to run out of the room and almost tripped over her bag, knocking it over and causing the contents to spill out
"Are you okay?!" Hailey asked. Milly nodded and turned to Hailey, giving her a thumbs up. "You betcha!"
"Alright.." Hailey said, before noting the mess on the floor. "Don't worry about that either!" Milly smiled "I'll get it when I come back!"
"You sure? I really don't mind! You're the guest here, and-"
"Totally sure, Hails!"
With that, Milly ran downstairs to grab the phone. Hailey chuckled at her girlfriend's excitement. She loved her so much
Hailey looked down at the mess of stuff Milly had made. She got down and sat Milly's bag upright against the desk chair, then began to put things back in. She unzipped the neon pink and purple pencil case, and putting astray pens and pencils back in.
While putting separated papers back into notebooks, a specific sheet caught Hailey's eye. She picked it up and looked at it. It was a sheet full of colour coordinated lyrics and music notes. After looking it over for a bit, she realized what it was
"What should we get!?"
"Huh?"
Hailey looked up and saw Milly run in with the phone. "To eat! What should we get to eat?"
"Oh, uh..."
Hailey shrugged. "You pick"
Milly nodded and walked in, closing the door behind her. She sat down in the desk chair, but quickly noticed Hailey was cleaning her stuff and got up. She quickly got up, and got down to get the rest of it. "Ya didn't have to do all this, I told you not to worry about it" Milly smiled nervously. Hailey shrugged. "It's not a problem at all" she said before looking back down at the lyric sheet. Hailey pocketed the sheet into her back jeans pocket while Milly wasn't looking. She had a plan

It was Monday at school, and Milly was panicking. While looking through her bag to see if she forgot anything at Hailey's, she noticed she was missing an important piece of paper. The paper she had written out her duet music she wanted to sing with Hailey at some point. She knew it had be at Hailey's. She just hoped and prayed Hailey wouldn't find it...
As Milly gathered stuff from her locker, pretending to be busy at the same time, Hailey walked over. She opened her own locker and began to get stuff from it. Milly'd face flushed red, and she kept it hidden by her locker door
"Hey Milly?"
Milly quickly shut her locker door shut and looked at Hailey. "Y-Yes!! Yes..?"
"I was wondering if you'd wanna come to my house after school today?" Hailey asked. Milly felt hot as ever and slightly sick. "Uh...sure! Yeah, o-of course!"
"Great!" Hailey smiled before closing her locker and walking off. "I'll see you later, sweetie!" she called to Milly as she waved to her while walking off. Milly waved back to her, smiling and sweating. Once Hailey was out of view and earshot, Milly groaned, kicked her locker, then stomped her foot down. She felt some tears forming in her eyes slightly. Hailey was definitely gonna bring up the letter when she got to her house
Milly sighed and walked off to class. Maybe when she got to Hailey's house, she could find the music sheet and take it back while Hailey wasn't looked and before she noticed, so that she wouldn't bring it up. But that wouldn't change much...Hailey would probably still ask about it anyway, whether she had it or not...

When Milly got to Hailey's house, they both went up to Hailey's room. Hailey shut the door behind them, and Milly flopped down on her girlfriend's bed. Hailey giggled, and walked over to her desk. She opened her notebook and searched the pages until she found the certain loose one she was looking for
"So, Milly..." she started. Milly sat up straight and quickly. "Yeah?" she asked. Hailey picked up the sheet and stood near microphone on its stand. "I was thinking we could play something a bit different today!" Hailey smiled. Milly nodded and got up. Hailey handed Milly a sheet, and the pink haired girl began to look it over. The notes looked slightly familiar. But she decided to shrug it off. She set herself up, grabbed her guitar, and got ready. "You ready, Hailey?" Milly asked, to which Hailey nodded in response
As Milly began to play the notes on her sheet and Hailey began singing not too long after, it slowly dawned on Milly on where the lyrics and notes were familiar from
It was the duet song she had written!
Milly remembered everything she had had down for the song. The lyrics to be more specific. She had them memorised, and she'd been working in the song forever and written, rewritten, and looked over the lyrics several times, singing them each time she did. When it got to the part Milly had written out lyrics for herself to sing, she began to sing aswell

The two girls finished the song, and Milly propped her guitar against the wall. Hailey sat back down on the bed. Milly smiled at her nervously. Her face was a little red and she was sweating. She felt as if she was almost in tears. "Did you really write that song..?" Hailey asked, to which Milly nodded. "What'd ya think..?"
"I loved it.." Hailey smiled before getting up and taking a step towards Milly. She noticed her girlfriend's expression. "Are you okay..?" she asked
Mill shrugged. "I-I dunno...I guess I was just was nervous with how you'd react to it.."
Hailey looked at her with a confused expression, slightly tilting her head a bit to one side. "What do you mean..?" she asked
"I thought you'd...laugh or...think I'm weird or something..."
"Milly, you're extremely talented.." Hailey said. "But not as talented as you.." Mill said looking off to the side. Hailey put a hand on Milly cheek, wrapping her other arm around her waste. "You are just as talented as I am, okay..?" she said as Milly made eye contact with her. Milly smiled before hugging Hailey. When they pulled apart from the hug, Hailey kissed Milly. When they pulled apart from that, they smiled and giggled at each other before going and sitting on the bed. "So how long did it really take you to write all that?" Hailey asked, wrapping an arm around Milly's shoulders. Milly snickered. "You have no idea!" she smiled. Hailey smiled. And rested her head on Milly's shoulder. "Wanna watch some TV or something?" Hailey asked. Milly shrugged. "I don't mind either way." She said, leaning her head on Hailey's slightly. There was a slight silence before Milly said
"I love you, Hails.."
"I love you too, Mil"
