"Alright everyone, great practice today!" Hailey smiled as everyone was packing up for the weekend

Sean wasn't really listening as he had his headphones on, plugged into his phone and playing music. He didn't care though. He knew when Hailey said "great job everyone", she meant everyone except him

Sean had always felt like he never was actually a part of the club. He didn't play an instrument like most of the others, let alone have any interest in playing anything, and he wasn't exactly the best singer. Everyone else had an important job in the club and him?

Well, he was just....in charge of the music. It was a fun thing to do, and Sean was really passionate about music

"You guys got any plans over the weekend?" Hailey asked

"Date" Luke said, putting his arm around Zander

"I'm just gonna be chilling at home" Milly shrugged

"I got Genshin this afternoon with Drew" Jake said "and Hailey's gonna try her hand at it!"

"What about you, Sean?" Luke asked. Sean didn't respond though since he couldn't hear anyone

"Sean?"

Milly walked over to Sean and lifted one side of his headphones. "Hey! Sean! You in there!"

Sean blinked a few times then looked at Milly. "Oh, yeah sorry..."

"Nah, it's cool man! What're you up to this week?"

Sean thought for a minute on how he should respond. He wasn't really...doing much of anything. He didn't have an instrument he could practice...

"Oh, nothing much...maybe just talking with Daisy"

"Ooh, Daisy huh?" Milly smirked. Sean nodded. "Well, I should probably get going. Imma go to subway and grab a bite on the way home!"

Milly left, then Hailey did. Zander and Luke followed Hailey, holding hands with each other

"You good getting home on your own, Sean?" Jake asked Sean. "Yeah, I'll be okay.." Sean smiled. Jake nodded. "See ya Monday!" he said, before picking up his bag and running out after Hailey. Sean sighed and leaned against the wall behind the table that had his computer on it

He was starting to get sick of just being the tech guy of the club....but what else could he do? He couldn't play the guitar like Hailey and Milly. He had no interest in playing the piano like Zander. He couldn't afford a drum set, and he doubted Luke would let him touch his. As for singing, he enjoyed it. But that was more Jake's thing. What would Jake do if he couldn't sing? He couldn't do the tech work as well as Sean, there was no possible way!

Sean got off the wall and unplugged his USB port from his laptop before shutting it off and putting it in his bag. He put his headphones back on with more music playing, swung his bag over his shoulder, and walked out of the club room feeling more drained than when he had earlier entered

Throughout the whole entire weekend, Sean had made a decision. He was sick of just being off in the shadows while his friends were 'living it up' so to speak

He walked into the club room and saw everyone was there except Milly. "Hey Sean" Hailey smiled without looking up. "Hey.." he responded. "Where's Milly?"

"Probably beatin' the sh-"

Zander stopped mid sentence as he saw Luke giving him a slightly stern look

".....crap. out of someone"

Luke pulled Zander close by his side as Sean laughed a bit. Suddenly Milly slid to a stop in the doorway and headed in. "Hey guys, sorry I'm late" she said. "Where were ya?" Luke asked

"Oh, nowhere in particular. Just putting Liam in his place"

"God, what did you do..." Jake sighed with a nervous smile. "Oh, ya know.." Milly said. "Threw some hands here and there, and some kicks, the usual! It was funny cause Henry tried to pull me off. But he's so short, he night as well have been trying trying to pull a sloth off a tree branch!"

Jake sighed as Milly laughed a bit. "So tell me!" Milly said, turning to Luke and Zander. "How was the date? Where'd you go? Ya make out or some junk?"

Zander sighed and rolled his eyes, whereas Luke just giggled and began to talk. Hailey was also full ears into this story, as when Zander got back from the date he told her that he wanted to wait to tell the whole club so he wouldn't have to repeat himself

Sean was the only one not listening, and the only one no one was really talking to. Heck, Hailey hadn't even looked at him when she said hi

"Man, you guys are all super cool.." Sean sighed smiling "wish I was as cool as you"

"Don't be silly, Sean" Hailey said "you're cool too"

Sean shook his head a bit. "Not really..." he said "I mean like, all I do is the technical stuff. Not a real job like any of you"

Everyone went silent, looking at each other. Their smiles had faded into concern

"But hey, no biggie" Sean continued. "I'm only joking. And hey, someone's gotta work with the tunes and put em together. And it's not like anyone really.notices anyway"

The room fell silent and everyone's eyes met with Sean's. His smile slowly faded as they all looked at him, confused and concerned

"Sean, is....that really how you feel about yourself in this club...?" Luke asked. Sean was taken aback by this response. He didn't expect anyone to take him seriously, let alone understand or not get mad

"Well...." he said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "Kind of, yeah...."

Everyone looked at each other then back at Sean, who was now staring down at the floor. Hailey stepped closer to Sean and put her arm on his shoulder. "Sean, if... you've been feeling that way.....why didn't you say something sooner....?"

"I didn't wanna seem like I was complaining..." Sean said. "I didn't wanna sound... ungrateful or anything....I also thought saying it would also mean me risking being kicked out of the club..."

"No way!" Milly said. "We'd never kick you out! We need you!"

"Just for the music, I presume.." Sean said

"No, Sean.." Hailey said. "Cause we all care about you a lot....you're an amazing dj, and an even better friend..."

"Yeah!" Luke said. Jake and Zander nodded in agreement

"Plus," Hailey continued. "If you don't wanna do the computer stuff and you wanna play an instrument, that's completely fine! We can figure out the computer stuff"

"It's not that I don't like putting the music together and stuff like that" Sean said "cause I do like it!"

"Well..." Jake said thinking for a moment. "If you wanted, you could play an instrument and do the computer job!"

"Nah, it's cool..." Sean responded.

Everyone fell silent again. Then, all of a sudden, Hailey hugged Sean. He looked at her confused, then Milly walked over and hugged him aswell. Soon the whole club was in a big group hug, Sean right in the center of it all

"Heh, alright guys.." he laughed. "Stop it before I cry"

Everyone looked at him, and his smile was back. All of theirs came back too. "You can always talk to us if you're upset about something...you don't gotta worry about us being mad or kicking you out or anything..." Hailey said wiping his tears. "We're your friends...and nothing will change that"

Sean continued to smile. "Thanks guys.." he said
