Jake, Drew, Liam, and Henry had been close for a long time. And in that time they did everything together. They knew everything about each other. The four of them were as close as any friends could be

But despite being so close, and being so trusting of each other, there was one thing Liam hadn't told any of them

Liam was transgender, female to male. No one had found out. The only person that knew was his mom, and she was super supportive

He didn't wanna tell his friends yet though. When he was a kid, all the other kids in his classes would make fun of him and bully him. He didn't think his friends would be mean about it if they knew, but he didn't wanna risk it

It had been on his mind a lot lately. Especially since he had gym this semester, and every time asked if he could change in a separate bathroom

It was all he could think about. The desperate urge to just come out and say it to his closest friends. Especially to Henry. But at the same time, he was scared to

"Liam? Liiiiaaaam???"

Liam snapped out of his thoughts, and saw that his friends were all staring at him

"What...?"

"You were zoning out again..." Henry said, concerned "you seem to be doing that a lot lately..."

"S-Sorry, I've just...got a lot on my mind..." Liam said

"You wanna talk about it?" Jake asked

"N-No!!" Liam quickly answered. His friends stared at him, more confused

"N-No....sorry, no..." Liam said "B-But don't worry, I'm fine..."

The warning bell rang, and the group started to get cleaned up. Jake and Drew left to walk to class together, leaving Liam and Henry alone together

"Are you sure you're okay, Liam...?" Henry asked. Liam nodded with a slight smile

"I'm okay, Henry..." he said. Henry hesitated before saying "okay...", and the two of them headed off

When Liam got home, he immediately went to the kitchen where his mother was

"Mom.....?"

"Hey, kid! How was your day?"

Liam shrugged, hanging his bag over the back of a chair, sitting down in the chair after

"Something wrong...?"

Liam thought for a minute, then said;

"...mom, uh...I wanna tell my friends...at least just Henry..."

"Tell them what?"

"...I...I wanna tell them I'm transgender..."

Liam's mother's eyes went a little wide

"Well, honey, that's your choice...if you feel comfortable enough to tell them, then-"

"Th-That's the thing..." Liam said "I...I wanna tell him but...I'm scared..."
