This is an AU where the characters are in middle school. Jake and Liam are 14, and Drew and Henry are 13

Also, I'm sorry, I can't describe scene clothing well, I tried my best. Please no judgement😭

No one's POV

The last couple.of days of March break, Liam had been keeping himself busy. He wanted a whole new look, and he had thought of the perfect one. He planned on keeping it a surprise until he went back to school. He thought that kids would be practically begging to hang out with him after they saw him

On the Monday after March break, Drew and Henry were chatting with each other in their classroom as the room of eighth graders waited for their teacher to show up. Jake walked into class, nervously looking around in fear he'd run into the kids who bullied him

"Jake! Over here!"

Jake looked in the direction of who had called him. Henry was waving Jake over at his desk. The two of them, Drew, and Liam all had desks close to him each other

Jake smiled and quickly went over to his friends

"Hey, guys..!" he said

"How you doing?" Drew asked

"I'm alright...a little on edge I guess..." Jake said

"Don't worry about a thing" Drew said

The three of them talked with each other for a little, then Jake raised the question all three of them were thinking

"Hey, guys...where's Liam...?"

"Not sure" Drew shrugged

"Think he's sick or something...?" Henry asked

Suddenly, Liam walked in. His friends all turned to the door. Their jaws dropped, and their eyes went wide at the sight of their friend

Liam's dark maroon colored hair was now fading into black, and had red streaks in it. He was wearing a black 'Invader Zim' T-shirt over top of a black and white long sleeves top, aswell as black ripped jeans. He was wearing a black spiked chocker, aswell as spiked bracelets, both with silver spikes

Liam sat down at his desk, his friends still staring at him in shock. Upon closer inspection, it was noticable that he was wearing black eyeliner

"......Liam?" Drew said

"Hey, guys!" Liam smiled "what's up?"

".....dude. You're...." Drew started to say

"What? That cool??" Liam asked excited "What's the best part?"

"You're....you're.....everything...." Drew said. Liam instantly smiled

"N-No, I didn't mean it like tha-" Drew started to say, but just sighed. "Nevermind..."

"Is this what you've been up to the past couple of days..?" Jake asked curiously. Liam nodded

"Jake, Henry, what do you two think?" he asked

"I...I like it..!" Jake smiled. Henry nodded in agreement

"Great!" Liam smiled "I was trying to go for a 'Scene phase'...don't know if I captured it...but, hey! It looks good!"
