Miyagi-Do Dojo
Selena is in the back with the class, leading warm-ups. They really left me to do this alone so they could go make out, she thinks, referring to Sam and Robby. She doesn't mind leading warm-ups by herself, she's done it in school and at the studio for dance. Plus, she's hoping to become the Colonel for the Scarlet Steppers so this is great leadership practice. "Okay, good job, guys!" she calls out when she wraps up the warm-up. All the boys scatter about to chat and practice their moves while the girl whips out her phone, grinning when she sees a text from Miguel.
"Hey, guys, check it out!"
Selena's head snaps up at the sound of Demetri's voice. She and the boys walk over to him as he picks something up from a rock. At this moment, Sam and Robby open the canvas doors and exit the dojo. "Look what I found," Demetri announces, looking at Selena. "It was just sitting in these rocks," he describes. Selena glances at Robby, who looks back with guilty eyes before averting his gaze. Oh, God, and the lie just gets bigger, she thinks. "Oh, my gosh! You found it," she tells Demetri as she takes the medal from him. She hates that she's feeding into Robby's lie but she doesn't want to rat him out either.
Sam walks over and looks at the item in her cousin's hand. "Is that Mr. Miyagi's Medal of Honor?" she questions. The brown-eyed girl nods and hums in confirmation. "That's crazy. We looked all over for this," Sam comments as she takes the medal from her and examines it. She beams at Selena, who forces a smile back. "I know! Thank goodness we finally found it," she joyfully responds. Sam nods and turns to Robby with a grin. "Huh. Must have been here the whole time," he remarks. The blue-eyed girl looks down at the medal with a smile.
Selena shoots Robby a pointed look, making him discreetly shake his head and send her a pleading look. Her eyes fall on Sam, who looks so happy about finding the medal. Sam is one of the sweetest people she knows, so she feels horrible about lying to her. She's torn apart between her and Robby. She wants to be a good friend to Robby but at the same time, she doesn't want to lie to Sam.
Additionally, ever since her late-night chat with Robby, she's started to wonder if Miguel would "earn points" with her cousin if she knew that he returned the medal. She sort of doubts that Sam still has feelings for him but she could be wrong. Selena hasn't told Sam that she likes Miguel because he's her ex and she's scared of how she'll react but now, the thought of Sam still having feelings for him heightens her fear. Now she's keeping two secrets from her. I'm a terrible person, she thinks.

LaRusso Luxury Motors
Rosalía makes a beeline to her office, smiling kindly at people as she passes by them. She glances up, slowing her pace when she spots open pizza boxes and red roses in a vase on her desk. A smile dances on her lips as she walks in, knowing exactly who's responsible for the sweet gesture. When she gets closer, she sees two heart-shaped pepperoni pizzas and an ultimate chocolate chip cookie. "Wow," a familiar voice pipes up, making her turn to see Daniel by the door.
"Is that lunch from Pizza Hut? And look at that. They're even shaped like hearts," he adds, walking over and pointing at the pizzas. Rosalía grins bashfully as she observes him. "Who could've gone through the trouble?" her husband playfully asks. The woman giggles. She scans the food and the roses before glancing at the man with a surprised smile. "Wha... what's all this for?" she asks him. "What, you don't like it?" Daniel replies. "Oh, no, I'm gonna devour this shit," Rosalía claims, making him chuckle.
"But why'd you do this?"
The man grins softly at her. "Just felt like spoiling you... and I really want to make up for putting the weight of our companies on your shoulders. Oh, by the way, I finished up the inventory statements an hour ago, so that's one less thing on your plate," he explains. His wife returns the grin and wraps her arms around his neck. "Well, thank you, this is very sweet, I love it. But you know you still have to ponerte las pilas [put in the work] after this week, right?" she questions, cocking an eyebrow. Daniel immediately nods.
"I know, I know, I will. I promise," he assures her. "Okay," Rosalía mutters, knowing he's being sincere. Her husband nods and kisses her forehead before uttering, "now come on, let's eat." The woman responds, "okay" and faces the table when she suddenly remembers something. "Oh, wait, we have to have lunch with the sales team in Woodland Hills," she mentions. Daniel's face falls upon hearing this. "So you don't want any?" he asks, gesturing to the food. Rosalía looks at the pizza and cookie contemplatively.
"Ah, you know what? Just a few slices. Nomas guardamos lo resto pa' más tarde [We'll just save the rest for later]," she responds, walking around the desk and sitting in her chair. Her husband smiles gleefully and takes a seat across the table. Rosalía closes one of the pizza boxes and the cookie box so they don't get cold and moves them aside, placing the open box of pizza in between her and Daniel. They both take a slice and look at each other, smiling. They bump their slices together and say, "cheers" before taking a bite.
*Time skip*
Rosalía walks through the showroom with two of her employees as she gives them instructions. "So we have some new cars on the showroom floor. Let's bring in the detail guys because we need to make sure that they're clean, you kno-" she cuts herself off and stops in her tracks when her eyes land on the scene in front of her. "Alright. Here you go. No, Demetri, you know this. Wax on with the right hand, counter-clockwise with the left," Daniel explains as he corrects Demetri.
"Watch Demetri, he's got it," he announces before going up to his wife, whose jaw is on the floor as she watches her daughter and the Miyagi-Do kids wax the cars. "Not bad, right?" Daniel acknowledges her, grinning proudly. "Ohhh, I get it. This is multi-tasking, you're combining work with training. That's creative," Rosalía comments as he approaches her. "Well, this is actually just me trying to help but I guess yeah, they get some training out of it," her husband replies, lightly chuckling. The woman chuckles too.
"Oh, well, it's kind of smart if you were going for the multi-tasking thing," she shrugs. She looks around and lowers her voice, "although..." Her eyes land on Daniel and she continues, "Mi amor? Don't you think some people— not me, of course, I know what this is— but some people... might consider it 'child labor?" The man blinks as he stares at her, dumbfounded. "What? No, I would hope not. That's not what this is," he answers. "Okay," his wife mutters, nodding.
"Look, I love you and I appreciate your unique way of helping, and I know you're trying to make it up to me but you don't have to do all this. I mean, really, all I need is for you to show up and do the work," she sweetly voices. She loved the gesture with the pizzas but she doesn't get why he's doing so much now. Her husband smiles kindly, taking a step closer and gently gripping her arms. "I guess I'm just in a giving mood. I wanna make sure you breeze through the day," he claims. Rosalía smiles fondly at this. He's the cutest, she thinks.
"I need to thank your mom for giving birth to you," she randomly states, making Daniel chuckle. "You have. Quite a few times," he laughs. "Well, then I need to thank her again. She gave me the best husband in the world," the woman replies, gazing at him adoringly. Her husband feels his heart do a whole backflip upon hearing this. He can't stop the wide grin from stretching across his face. "And I have the best wife," he flirtatiously speaks as he leans in. They connect their lips in a loving kiss, pulling apart after a few seconds and smiling at each other.
Daniel moves to Rosalía's side and snakes his arm around her waist, both of them watching the kids wax the vehicles. "Well, at least they know how to do it right. The cars look really shiny," the woman remarks. Her husband chuckles at this. "Yeah... You know, opening Miyagi-Do is the second best decision I've ever made," he suddenly claims. The woman turns her head to him, looking at him curiously. "Second? What's the first?" she asks. Daniel gazes at her with a soft smile. "Asking you to marry me," he answers. Rosalía's eyes soften as she feels herself melt.
Now it's her heart's turn to do a backflip. "That's- that's-" she stutters, clearing her throat. Her mind is jumbled now, she can't think of a response to such a perfect statement. "I..." Daniel raises his eyebrows, a smug smile forming on his face. "Did I leave you speechless? You?" he teases. Usually, it's the other way around and Rosalía normally has smooth responses.
Every now and then, however, Daniel manages to make her nervous to the point where she suddenly gets a bit shy. So he's proud of himself for making her stutter nervously right now. After all these years, he hasn't lost his charm over her, and she hasn't lost hers over him either. Rosalía clicks her tongue and shoves him. "Shut up," she laughs.
