Bailey's POV:
Carmen and I danced within the crowd jumping up and down as the lights spun around changing colors with the loud music that run in everyone's ear. "Hold on I need a drink." Carmen pulls me close and I nod at her then she starts pulling me out of the crowd towards the drinks which are bottled water, cans of soda, and juice boxes. Very appropriate for prom.
We both grab a bottle of water and I look past the crowd to the round tables where Tyler awkwardly sits with Skylar and the twins who are throwing jabs at each other. "I can't stand those two." Carmen gulps, "Who? The twins? At least now you have a date, well two." I joke and she shakes her head.
"They're idiots that lead to one whole idiot and even with two brains they don't remember anything and I don't know but whatever, Tyler looks like he might pee his pants on accident." She points lowly at him and I agree, "I don't why he's so tense when around Skylar, do you think he likes me?" I ask her and she raises an eyebrow.
*PLAY song
"Actually you might be right but I don't know, I don't know when he's flirting or not but maybe he's just a good friend because he is." She takes another sip of water then all the lights changed to a deep blue with some white and a slow song started to play.
"Oh hey this is the song from Beauty and the Beast." I tell her smiling at the song choice, I was almost certain that they would've played some sappy love song that's used in weddings. "Let's dance." She says and we finish our bottles jogging to the dance floor getting right in the middle of the couples and other people dancing with friends.
Carmen and I held each other as we stared and commented on people like this one guy pretending to dance with himself that's earning a few laughs. "Who knew that they were still together?" She jerks her head to the couple that's been together since freshman year.
I remember when we all bet when they would break up and it was wrong but kind of fun. "Ooh and look over there." I point to a group of boys dancing in a circle singing the lyrics to the song. "Who knew that they watched beauty and the beast." She laughs.
"May we have this dance?" Two voices pick up from behind us and we both turn around seeing the twins holding their hands out. Carmen then turns to me from the grinning faces, 'What do I do?' She mouths to me and I smirk pushing her towards them. "No. No. No." She whispers but then she freezes from them hugging her.
"I hate you." She says flipping me off, "Enjoy." I smile waving at them. They disappear into the crowd and I stand there awkwardly looking around at the couples dancing happily like they're the only ones in the world. I begin to walk out of the people then I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"Come here Beans." I recognize the voice and I spin around seeing Skylar adjust her tie with one hand and the other is held out for me. I instantly smile taking it mine and she stretches our arms out a little, her other hand holds my waist and I hold her open shoulder.
"I thought you don't dance?" I ask smiling stepping closer to her if it was possible, "You're right I don't dance, not in the slightest." She tells me as she moves me around from hitting any other couple. "But we're dancing right now." I said squeezing her hand, "No we're not, we're swaying side to side. See." She sways us some more. "Whatever we're definitely dancing." I lay my head against her chest.
This is what it feels like to be the only ones in a large room filled with people, just us, no one else. "I have something to ask you?" I lift my head up seeing Skylar look down at me with a small glim in her eyes. "Hmm?" I sound, "It's important." She tells me and I nod. "Can you tell me now?" I ask, please let this be the one thing she'll tell me about without keeping me waiting.
"No can do Beans, it's a surprise." She smirks and I hit my forehead on her chest. "You say that all the time can you not ask this super important question that has to wait now." I whine wanting to know now if it's so important.
"Because. I need it to be perfect and I actually need to get something from my house because I forgot so after this prom we'll go. And I'll ask my question." She removes her hand from my waist and rubs my cheek with her thumb, "I love you." She whispers loud enough for me to hear.
"I love you too." I feel my cheeks heat up and she leans in, "I like it when you say that." She pauses right before my lips, "When I say what?" I ask trying to steal a kiss but she pulls away further, "You know what I mean, can you say it again?" She sounds like she's begging, I like it.
"I love you, Skylar." I lean in all the way feeling her lips on mine and my hands drop holding the front of her jacket and snakes her arms behind my back. "Let's leave now." I pull away and she raises an eyebrow, "Now?" She questions and I nod, "I don't want to wait, let's leave now. I'll go tell Carmen." I let go of her seeing her stand between the two boys as they dance with no worries.
"Hey, we're going to leave." I tell her and her eyes widen, "No! No. No. Please don't leave me I beg you." She grabs onto my hand pulling us away from the boys. "I need to Skylar's going to ask me something." I tell her and a smile appears on her face. "Oh my God is she going to ask you out?" She moves her head side to side.
"Oh my, I don't know but she said it's important so I need to go now." I say and she agrees, "You're right, yes go find out what it is. It better be her proposing or some shit because she's taking you away from Prom." She collects herself then I hug her.
"I'll tell you everything also tell Tyler that I left and don't kill the twins." I point at the two boys pulling Tyler out of his seat with Skylar behind them just shaking her head. "I will promise you anything on the twin's life, if they die because of me, then they die because of me." She crosses her heart then I walk over to Skylar pulling her out of the venue.
"Eagar aren't we?" She jokes purposefully pulling against me. "Yes, I want to know so let'g go." I tug her with both hands and we make it to Dean's car.

Skylar's POV:
"Okay wait here, I'll be right back." I unbuckle myself leaving Beans in the car and I quickly run into my house, "Sky!" I hear Sage call me and I pop into the living room seeing him play video games with Dean, "What?! I have something important to do." I tell him and he nods, "I know I know but I need you to do something too." He gets up pausing the game and I look at Dean who just stares at the screen.
"You okay Dean?" I ask him and he nods, "I keep losing." He slowly falls to the floor hugging his knees. "Sage is probably cheating." I chuckle and he immediately sits up again. "I KNOW HIS ASS ALWAYS CHEATS!" He yells as Sage comes down the stairs.
"You're just ass at this game." He points at Dean then hands me a brown package. Not again. "Deliver this, it's close to where you're going to go, just give it and get the money." He tells me patting my arm. "Why can't you?" I ask and he walks back to the couch. "Because you're going out already, it's quick I promise, just give and get Sky." He says.
"Are you sure? Beans is with me." I tell him holding the package tighter, "That's better then right, now she can the glimpse you keep talking about." He says. I let it go after that grabbing my pistol in my room and I put it behind my belt hiding it with my jacket walking back outside and I get into Dean's car with Beans waiting for me.
"So we have to make a stop." I tell her and she puts her phone down in her lap. "Where?" She asks turning her body to face me. "To deliver this, I can't get out of it." I say and she gasps, "That means I can go with you on your trade." She's excited. Of course, she's excited.
I don't know how to feel about this, I start driving and I see her sway in her seat to the song playing, "So what exactly happens on these trades because last you went on one you came back to me beat up, am I going to fight someone? Oh my, can I fight someone?" She bounces in her seat. No, she can't fight someone, she won't fight someone. God forbid that she has to fight at all.
"Uh no, you won't be fighting someone, not this time." I hope. I really hope. "Oh okay so do I just give it to them?" She takes the box looking around the plain packaging. Think, think, think. I don't know if this will end up like before, or if it won't I don't know. I really don't. Why do I feel scared now?
"How about you just watch, instead of jumping right into it." I slowly take the box back laying it in my lap. "Yeah you're probably right but it's okay I can do the next one after learning from the master." She puts her hand on my shoulder messaging it lightly. I'm no master.
