Next day,
It was afternoon
Vaish's mom had come in the morning itself. She was resting after breakfast. Vaish came to her room
(I'll use Sa.A for Vaish's mom)
Sa.A: Hey Vaish my child, come in
Vaish came in. She was tensed which was evident from her face
Sa.A: Why is my baby tensed? Is everything ok?
Vaish: No mum. Nothing is ok!
Sa.A held her hands and made her look into her eyes
Sa.A: Tell me what happened?
Vaish: Mum yesterday...
She told her everything that happened yesterday. Sa.A was also shocked
Vaish: And mum, since yesterday even Avu is not picking my phone
Sa.A: My dear relax. I'll talk to both of them, Vibha and Sonia. It'll be alright
Vaish nodded
Sa.A: And you shouldn't stress your mind these days. Just relax and take some rest. Till then, I'll try to talk to Vibha
Vaish nodded and left. Sa.A also went to see V.A. She was ready in new clothes and sitting on the couch in the hall, reading a magazine. V.A saw her and shut the magazine
V.A: Sangeeta, come, join me
Sa.A went and sat beside her
Sa.A: Wow Vibha, you're all dressed up. Going somewhere?
V.A: No no, where will I go right now. Actually just waiting for some guests
Sa.A: Oh ok. By the way, I heard you went to meet Sonia. So how was-
Just then the doorbell rang. Vaish opened the door. She saw a middle-aged couple and a young girl who looked like she was probably in her 20s
The family joined their hands and greeted her. She also responded with greetings
Vaish: Yes?
The older lady spoke up, "You must be Vaishnavi, Vibha's elder daughter-in-law"
Vaish nodded
Vaish: But I'm sorry I didn't recognize you
V.A and Sa.A came from the living room
V.A: Mr and Mrs Singh, please come in
She welcomed them inside. Vaish closed the door and joined them. She understood they were V.A's expected guests. So she bought them refreshments from the kitchen
Abhi also came out from his room and greeted them
V.A: This is my elder son, Abhisek, and his wife, Vaishnavi. And soon they're expecting their first child
They congratulated Abhinavi and they mouthed a thank you
V.A: And this is Vaish's mom, Sangeeta
They greeted her also
Mr. Singh: Very beautiful family I must say. This is our one and only dearest daughter, Ashi
Ashi touched V.A's feet
V.A: God bless you, dear. Your daughter is certainly pretty
(I'm sure by now you all must've understood where this is headed)
Meanwhile in Sid's room,
After trying enough to call Avu, he gave u and decided to go to her home
Sid's POV
I tried to call Avu a million times but it seems she's switched off her phone. But now I can't wait anymore. So I decided to go to meet her
I put on a grey t-shirt with a leather jacket on and blue jeans. I stepped down the stairs and heard some people talking. It seemed like new voices. Probably mummy's guests. I don't have anything to do with it so I decided to just great them and leave quickly
As I reached the hall downstairs, I saw mom chatting with some people on the couch. Since their backs were facing me, I thought of silently leaving. But mummy caught me before I could step out of the house
POV ends
V.A: Aashu!
Sid turned around. Ashi and her parents also turned to see him
Sid: Yes mummy?
V.A understood where he was going
V.A: Come here. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Singh
He greeted them
V.A: And see, this is Ashi
He saw her and mouthed a "Hi" with a fake smile. But she smiled back happily
Mrs. Singh: Look at both of them. So happy to see each other
V.A: No doubt at all. I promise your daughter will live like a princess in our house
These words were enough to bring Abhinavi, Sa.A and Sid are in shock. The floor beneath their feet slipped away. Sid got goosebumps as he never expected this from his mom. He looked into her eyes but she avoided any eye contact. They all were speechless
