No one's POV
A few hours before the event battle with Aincrad's 12th Floor began, Sora decides to check on the previous boss's location. Firstly, he went to Tochomae Citizen's Plaza, the place where the first event battle of the Aincrad's 1st Floor Boss, Illfand the Kobold Lord took place. He started looking around for anything suspicious, but found nothing, until it was nighttime and he went to go get some drink, until he saw once again the same white hooded figure standing beside him.
Sora: I finally found you, Yuna...
Yuna: I didn't know you were looking for me, Zo-kun...
Sora: Can we please have a talk...? Just the two of us...
The hooded girl then stand up and started to walk through the bridge as Sora followed behind.
Sora: Do you want me to search for something?
Yuna: We'll talk later, but for now...
Yuna point her hand in a specific direction before disappearing in data, causing the Black-hair boy to be frustrated at her for not answering his question.
Sora: Wait, Yuna!
Sora just look down saddened. All the guilt about not being able to save her that day is starting to get to him. All kind of thought's were coming through his mind. How is she alive? Is she really just a normal AI? She felt so real. He thought when he saw Yuna, he could make an amends for not being able to protect her that day. But she keeps disappearing, and that makes Sora become more frustrated. Until he suddenly got a call from Kazuto.
Kazuto: Hey about time you pick up!
Sora: Sorry. I was on the road... Is something wrong...?
Kazuto: Agil, find Klien. He's in the hospital in Yoyogi. Been there since last night, his arm is broken.
Sora look completely shocked when he heard that.
Sora: What?! But he was alright before the event yesterday. What happened to him?
Kazuto: No clue. He said that he got some trouble when he got into some of the Ordinal Scale battles.
Sora: Damn...
Sora then looked at the time and saw that it was almost at 9pm and he was having some troubled look.
Sora: You don't think that...
Kazuto: Yeah. Let's meet up where the girls are participating right now!
Sora: Alright! I'll see you there!
Sora then made his way to the place and activate his Ordinal Scale and he started looking around in hiding. As he saw Philia and the other girls were fighting one of the boss monster on floor 12.
Rio: Papa?
Zora: Shh...
Zora continue to look at Yuna, who was singing, not bothering to participate in the event and when the time almost hit three minutes left, the place started getting more heated.
Some players rushed at the boss and started to attack it. As Asuna, Silica, and Lisbeth about to attack the boss too, they noticed a circle suddenly appeared behind them.
Philia: Something else is coming?
Come out from the circle is a dragon that similar to Pina then appeared on the battlefield.
Silica: Pina!
Lisbeth: Oh, is that all... That started me.
Thinking that Pina had come to help, Silica approached the monster and crouch in front of it.
Silica: Pina, you've come to help us too?
Silica outstretched her left hand at the Pina lookalike but the monster hissed at back away from her, making the dragon tamer raise her eyebrow in confusion. Suddenly, the dragon started to grow bigger until its size reached about 10 meters. It has menacing ruby-red eyes and a body that were covered in black scale.
Zora look shock and surprise when he saw that black dragon as he recognized it from reading the boss list after he got the Seed from Kayaba.
Zora(mind): No way... Why it suddenly appeared here!? Aincrad's Floor 91 boss... Dorz'l the Chaos Drake!
Seeing a huge black dragon suddenly appeared in front of them, some of the players started to run away and some trying to fight the dragon. On the ground, Silica immediately stand up and started running away as she barely evaded being bite by the dragon.
Rio: Why is boss from floor 91 here?!
Zora went to go help, Philia and Asuna, but he was blocked by the crowd, and he saw Kirito on the other side unable to to head towards the girls as well. And the floor 91 boss monster along with the other boss monster both continue to rush towards Silica who was on the ground and Philia and Asuna went towards her trying to save her.
Asuna: Silica!
Philia: Look out!
Philia and Asuna and they got slashed by the attack. When the dragon and Crab slashed Philia and Asuna, their hits point got depleted, and "Hunter Down" appeared on their screen as the memory of them, memory of Asuna and her life with Kirito, and Philia and her life with Zora at SAO flashed back as tears streaming down on their face.
Then, a yellow sphere was launched from their Augma as Asuna and Philia suddenly collapsed on the ground but Silica and Liz manage to catch them. Liz and Silica looked at them worriedly, thinking something bad must happen.
Silica: Asuna!
Liz: Philia! Wake up!
Philia:...
Asuna:...
They didn't say anything as their eyelids were shut and tears stream down on their face, making the Liz and Silica got more worried. Kirito and Zora who worried about their friends after knowing Klein's condition came to the venue and just when they arrived, they witnessed the incident right in front of their eyes. After got out from the group of people who blocked their way, they immediately rushed to Asuna and Philia.
Kirito: Asuna!
Zora: Philia! Are you alright!?
Asuna and Philia slowly opens their eyelids as they had a pained expression on their face. Seeing their girlfriends in this state, Kirito turned to Eiji with rage.
Kirito: You bastard!! What did y-
Kirito got interrupted as in a split second, Eiji entered close range and pointing his sword at Kirito's throat.
Eiji: Your pathetic! You might be one of the greatest swordsman in VR, but you are nothing in AR...
Zora: Nautilis! What have you done?!
Zora then confronted Nautilis, and Kirito and the rest look surprise that they knew each other, and Eiji suddenly smirk and launched himself towards Zora instead as he thrust his blade towards him, but Zora managed to react on time and and bring his sword out and managed to redirect its attack with a small slice on his cheeks.
Eiji: Well, if it isn't the traitor swordsman. Its nice to see, that your still doing well.
Zora: Why are you doing this?! Aren't suppose to be friends?!
Eiji just smirk and his suit then started to glow and Zora looked at it confused and suddenly, with inhuman levels of speed, was he attacking Zora and he could barely block his attacks.
Eiji: Friends?! Now why would I ever wanted to be friends with a traitor...?
Kirito: Traitor?
Eiji: Judging by the way they react, I say that you haven't told them about what happened that day.
Zora:...
Zora gritted his teeth. He was furious at him. He saw that everyone was staring at him with confusion. Until Eiji block the clash and jump back.
Eiji: Till we meet again. But know that I'll be coming for you and the other real soon.
Suddenly, the boss dragon shot a fire ball in between them and Eiji then disappeared and the time then hit zero and the bosses disappeared.
Yuna: Times up! See you later!
Liz: Asuna, Philia, are you okay?
Asuna: Yeah...
Philia: We're fine...
Kirito was about to walk to Zora and question him when Yuna landed near Zora and wink at him.
Yuna: Well that's suck... I was hoping I could give you another kiss on the cheek. See you next time, Zo-kun...
Everyone: Zo-kun...?
Yuna then disappeared and Zora just look down saddened and Kirito grabbed his shoulder.
Kirito: Hey, what's your relationship with them?!
Zora:...
Kirito sounds was already demanding. He wanted to know the relationship between Zora, Yuna, and the second rank player. But Zora didn't say anything and just look down saddened. Kirito was starting to get impatient and he grabbed Zora and forced him to look at him and he was furious.
Kirito: Tell me!!
Zora stay quiet for awhile until he spoke up.
Zora: I'll tell you later... I need to process this for awhile...
Kirito: We're not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on!!
Zora then look down. His hair was shadowing his eyes. It indicates that it was a bitter memory that needs time to tell. But Kirito didn't want that, he wants to know now, without any concern for his brother's feeling.
Zora: Please not now...
Zora then walked pass Kirito and was about to walk towards Philia and Asuna, to see how their conditions were, when suddenly he got tackle to the ground by Kirito and was grabbed by the shirt and saw that Kirito was furious.
Silica: Guys! Not now!
Liz: Stop it both of you!
Asuna: Kirito!
Philia: Stop it!
Kirito: Your hiding something from us!! Tell me now!!
Zora: Are you not even listening?! I told you that I'll tell you later!!
This was the very first time that Zora and Kirito ever had a fight with each other. They were arguing with one another, while the girls was trying their best to separates them, but Kirito refuses to back down until Zora shouted something that made everyone froze.
Zora: ARE YOU GONNA DO THE SAME THING THAT ALL MY RELATIVES DID TO ME?!?!
Kirito: ?!?!
Kirito eyes widened as wide as he could. He finally realized what he was doing and saw that Zora was crying. He quickly let go of Zora's shirt and Zora just push him back and he got up.
Kirito: Zora, I'm...
Zora: Whatever... I'll bring Philia home. And I'm not going home. I'll be staying at my old house...
Kirito's eyes widened completely and utterly shocked and so does everyone else. It clearly shows how much hurts Zora was, just by Kirito not trusting him. And Zora continue to look down, with his hair covering his eyes, and he knelt down and pick Philia up, who was still looking with disbelief when she saw the two brothers fought.
Kirito: Bro wait I...
Zora: Don't call me, Bro...
Zora then walked away with Philia, and the rest just look down saddened and Kirito clinch his hand tightly as he was devastated for what he had done. He quickly regret what he did, when Zora already offers to tell them everything, after they bring Asuna and Philia home, but Kirito was too furious that it clouded his mind. And when he heard that Zora doesn't want to be called brother, that broke his will even further that, he let down a slip of tears.
Kirito:...
Standing behind a nearby pillar watching Zora slowly walking away with Philia on his arm was the same hooded girl. She saw that dull look on his eyes and that make her sad, that he got into a fight with his family. Especially his brother. And she just looked down saddened as Yuna disappeared into thin light.
Yuna: I am so so sorry... Zo-kun...
