Abhimanyu's POV
I intentionally made Samosa for her. According to her looks, she recognised me and I would make her reveal the fact that we knew each other even before she met her family. I am the CEO of my company and I am not going near her and telling her, Hello Adhyaa, you didn't recognize me, I am your 'Ironman'. I have some of my self respect.
'That's not called self-respect, that's known as EGO' said my inner voice.
Whatever, but I am not gonna ask her about it. She looked more beautiful with a red nose and cheeks. Her face became full red when she was angry. And I like my angry girl.
Adhyaa's POV
Abhimanyu....... I hate him. Every Time he fought with me. Why does he do this? He is such an egotistical person. He made Samosa today for me but he didn't have the guts to come and say Adhyaa, I am your Ironman. No.... Egoist, jerk, arrogant businessman. Do whatever you want to do Mr. , but I am also Adhyaa Oberoi and I am not gonna tell you that I know who you are.
Author's POV
In the evening, Adhyaa was sitting on the edge of the swimming pool. Something came up in Adhyaa's mind and she splashed the water on Reyansh and with this started a water fight and in excitement Divyansh held Adhyaa in bridal style and moved towards the swimming pool.
"Dev bhai, please no... Don't do this. I don't know how to swim. No... No... I won't do anything. Please... Please leave me bhai leave me....... Aahhhhhhhhh" Adhyaa dissuaded but Devyansh and others didn't listen to her and he dropped her in the swimming pool. She started drowning in the pool and all were thinking that this is one of the pranks she was playing. Before anything wrong happened, Abhigyaan came there and heard Adhyaa's screaming he ran toward the swimming pool and frightened to see her like this and yelled, "You fools, she doesn't know swimming, save her."
Abhimanyu was standing near the pool as usual attending a business call. He heard their commocations. When he looked in the swimming pool. He understood and without any delay jumped into the swimming pool and brought Adhyaa out of the pool. Abhigyaan kneeled down and said while tapping her cheeks, "Bachcha, please open your eyes." But she wasn't budging at all.
Looking at her condition, Abhigyaan lost his temper and yelled, "I am warning you all, if anything happens to Adhyaa, I swear I won't leave you."
"Don't shout, she is also OUR sister. We longed for her all these years. We really didn't know that she couldn't swim. If we only know about it we will never, even in our dreams, do it." retorted Reyansh.
They were shouting at each other and didn't realise that she woke up. She opened her eyes and sighed seeing her family shouting at eachother for her. In a hoarse voice, she said to Abhigyaan, "Bhaiya, stop. See, I am all good."
"Bachcha Jaan nikal di thi tumne. [you literally killed us]" said Abhigyaan in a mild voice.
"Don't worry, main itni asani se pichha nhi chhodne wali, aur agar mar bhi gyi na toh yaad haina chudail ban kar aaungi, lekin pichha nhi chhodne wali [I am not going to leave you that easily and even if I die, I will come as a witch, but I will not leave you]" said Adhyaa.
"Don't say like this Princess. We can't live without you." Said Adwet.
"Okay.... Now no more shouting. " Said Adhyaa and got up and was told to be careful by others.
"Sorry Princess, we didn't know this." Said Divyansh.
"Arre.... Don't worry and sorry Kroor Singh ke liye bhi. [From Abhigyaan side too.]"
"We understand that, you don't have to worry. Right Abhigyaan." Reyansh said.
"Ofcourse and sorry...... I..." Said Abhigyaan.
"No you don't have to say anything, we understand that. Now we should take her inside. Also Rey, call the doctor. And Maan come you are also full drenched." Said Adwet.
Adhyaa and Abhimanyu both changed their clothes and masala chai is made for both of them. At night Adhyaa had a fever but it didn't last long due to medicines, Yamini and her other family members.
Next day, Adhyaa was roaming in the mansion. She reached the kitchen and heard the conversation between the maid and her daughter. Her daughter was requesting to allow her to play in the garden but the maid was refusing. So Adhyaa came there and said, "What happened? Chutki 🤨"
"Didi, dekho na Maa mujhe khelne se mana kar rhi hain. [Look, mom is forbidding me to play]" Said chutki
"She is right. You can't play in the garden unless you invite me." Adhyaa said in a strict voice.
"Okay didi............ What yes yes yes Come meet my friends." Said chutki.
After that they went out and started playing 'I spy'. Slowly slowly everyone came there and started playing there with Adhyaa. It was Adhyaa's turn so she was running here and there to catch everyone. Abhimanyu, who was coming there, was attending his another phone call. He didn't notice Adhyaa and she was walking backward. They both collided and fell down. Abhimanyu was below Adhyaa and Abhimanyu was holding Adhyaa tightly. First two times Adhyaa tried to get up on her own but failed and here Abhimanyu didn't acknowledge that, he was lost in her.
He wasn't in his sense, he was holding her tightly like he didn't want her to leave him. On the other hand Adhyaa was boiling in her anger, she pinched him hard. He screamed in pain and left her.
Adhyaa got up and looked with anger at him. She was confused why he didn't tell her about himself. Why did he always try to stay away from her? It's so confusing for her. She wasn't able to think straight. She dusted herself and yelled, "You, you don't have eyes or you are a nig nog. You are Bhai's best friend, otherwise I swear till now you were not able to walk on your feet."
"She is right. I have pictures of all those poor boys who became her prey. Some have broken arms, some broken legs, some were not able to walk at all. And the poorest boy was the one who proposed to her. He did not come to school for the next two months. Look here, these are the pics." Said Abhigyaan.
"GYAAN SINGH i will not leave you" saying this Adhyaa ran towards him and started yelling at him and he was running here and there in the whole garden. All were laughing a lot seeing them like this.
"Ruk beta tujhe main batati hu, first let me find your bride then i will take my revenge. [wait, i'll tell you]" Said Adhyaa. Hearing Adhyaa's comment, Abhigyaan became pensive. After thinking a lot he concluded that he will bring Pragya before going back to his job.
Next day, Abhigyaan was restless. He was in a deep thought about how he would tell Adhyaa about Pragya. Abhigyaan went to her room and knocked it in the afternoon. As usual Adhyaa was painting and listening to Hindi Bollywood songs.
"Hey Prix, what are you doing?" Asked Abhigyaan with a fake smile.
"Don't you have eyes, I am painting, Dude." Said Adhyaa dramatically.
"Ummm Prix, I want you to meet someone." Said Abhigyaan after some time.
"Huhh............... Don't you dare to say that you found a girl for yourself." Adhyaa said with a threatening voice after replaying his words in her mind again and again.
Abhigyaan remained silent to her question which gave affirmation to her thought. Her eyes popped out like a soccer ball and she started yelling at him. "You cheater, you fraud, you bastard............." And many unholy words came from her mouth with tears as well. She was running behind him and he was apologizing and saying try to understand him or listened to him once.
The yelling was heard by all and they came down and saw that Adhyaa was swearing. They were shocked to see her using such words. It was the first time they were seeing her like this. Other days she was a composed girl who didn't use such language despite her mischievous pranks.
"Ruk tu, [you stop] I won't leave you. You cheater." Yelled Adhyaa.
"Prix , listen to me first, it's not like you are thinking. I'll explain everything. Please." Abhigyaan pleaded. Adhyaa stopped, her eyes were red due to crying and with her crying she said, "All are cheaters....... Everyone broke their promises. First Eno now you. Kisi ko padi hi nhi hai meri. [no one cares about me.] You promised me and now what you did. I hate You. I.... Hate..... You..."
"He is not a cheater, Priya." Here comes Abhigyaan's wife. He called her yesterday to be ready to come and meet her sister-in-law Priya aka Adhyaa. Abhigyaan booked a cab for her and he got the message that she was coming after some time so he thought it was the correct time to reveal his marriage. But unfortunately, he wasn't able to tell her that he was married. Before that Adhyaa started blaming him for not keeping his promise.
Pragya came towards them and stood beside Abhigyaan. Adhyaa noticed her hairline and saw the vermillion in her head. She was now furious but before going to any conclusion she said, "Who are you? And how do you know that he is not a cheater? What do you know about us?"
Pragya was shocked to hear so many questions at once. "So many questions, please take a breath and I am here to answer all your questions only......... But before that, (turned towards Abhigyaan) Abhi..... you are right, she is damm cute. Exactly the same way you used to talk about her. Too innocent, too pure, too cute. Now I am a little bit jealous of you." Pragya said with a smile on her face.
"You didn't answer my questions. I am asking you again who you are and why you are here and most importantly why are you calling him 'Abhi'? " Again asked Adhyaa.
"I'll tell you everything. But before that please listen to me carefully. Okay." Said Pragya and to this Adhyaa nodded and Pragya started telling her everything.
"I belonged to a middle class family and I am a software engineer. We were living a peaceful life. I have everything in my life, a caring father, lovely mother. I am one of the IIT toppers. After that I started doing a job in Hyderabad. We were living there happily. But one day some local goons were roaming in my locality and I don't know what came to them. They started stalking me everywhere. That time Abhi was in incharge of that area, one year ago. My father complained about them. They didn't tolerate that and one day they......... They came to my house and killed my both parents. Abhi... Abhi was patrolling that time and I was out of the station due to the office work. Abhi sensed that there was something wrong and came there and immediately brought my parents to the hospital. I went there as soon as possible. My mother didn't survive and the same was with my father. But before dying he took the promise from me and Abhi to get married. My father knew him for the past two months and somehow he knew that he would never hurt me. This is how we got married, Priya. This happened all of the sudden that I am unable to hold myself. One day and my life went upside down. But we couldn't do marriage all of a sudden and also Abhi told me that he promised you that you will be the one who will choose his bride, so we concluded that for my safety and promise to my father, we'll do court marriage and the next day we married. But you know we didn't do marriage according to our rituals so you still have that right. He didn't break your promise. He is the most honest man I have ever seen in my life." Pragya said with tears in her eyes. Some tears came in her eyes recalling her parents but she composed herself.
She told Adhyaa everything that happened last year. Adhyaa was shocked to know that for her one promise they didn't live with each other in the same room. They lived as a roommate even though they are husband and wife legally. This touched her heart. Now, after seeing her how she talked about Abhigyaan and how politely she handled the situation.
Adhyaa thought that she was the only one who would become Abhigyaan's wife. But she didn't show it on her face and asked her, "Okay.... What's your age?"
Pragya was amused to hear such a question which she didn't expect. Pragya asked, "What??"
"You hear me right, what's your age?" Said Adhyaa. Abhigyaan understood that Adhyaa liked Pragya and now she is interrogating her to know her well, so he wished Pragya goodluck and went from there and stood near Adwet.
Adwet wasn't able to comprehend the whole situation so he asked Abhigyaan. To which Abhigyaan said, "You all were yelling at me for the swimming pool incident. That's why I am shouting so much at you, you are also her family, now you get to know about her this side that she is more possessive for me than I am for her." Adwet just nodded and focused on the conversation going between the two.
"23" Pragya answered in monosyllable
"Height?"
"5'4"
"Boyfriend?"
Abhigyaan interrupted her and said, "Prix, what's this?"
Pragya stopped him and said, "No Abhi, it's okay. Priya there was one but when he got to know about that goon he broke up with me."
"Okay.... Do you love him?"
"I thought that I was but now I know I don't love him."
"Tsk.. I am talking about Abhigyaan not your ex or that goon."
Abhigyaan said, "Prix......" But was cut off by Adhyaa. "Don't interrupt me. After listening to her side of the story, I know you won't ask her that. So mujhe karne do mera kaam. [So let me do my work.]"
Pragya was afraid to answer this question as it will be the most crucial question for their relationship. She didn't want to lose Abhigyaan but she also knew that if didn't reveal her love towards him then she wasn't able to do that on her own.
"Yes, I love him more than I love myself. He was there for me to support me, console me and help me to go through my worst. He didn't leave my side even for a moment. He did everything to lessen my sorrows and also punished that man. You know Priya, even I won't be able to tell him this for a very long time. Whenever I tried to tell him, words never came out of my mouth. After a time, I am afraid if he knew my feelings for him, it would destroy our friendship and that I never wanted. Abhi, I know I told you that after one year I will give you divorce but Abhi I don't want that now. I am already head over heels in love with you." Confessed Pragya.
Adhyaa was dancing inside and now she showed it on her face and said, "Kroor Singh not bad, for the first time in your life you did the best thing to marry her and now answered her question very quickly as I have to do so much preparations for your marriage."
Adwet, "Princess, calm down. First, listen to what he wants to say. Okay... You will do whatever you want but first listen to him."
Adhyaa nodded and looked at Abhigyaan in hope of his answer. Abhigyaan was shocked to know that Pragya also loved him and that to this extent that just for living near him for their friendship she hid it from him. He said, "You should have told me earlier....... I love you too. As you I am also afraid of you, your anger. I, Abhigyaan Singh, whom every criminal was afraid, was afraid of two women of his life." Abhigyaan chuckled and saw both Adhyaa and Pragya, to which Adhyaa came toward him and hugged him tightly.
