(Long chapter)
The next day they walked in the train station. Hagrid gave them their tickets to platform 9 3/4 which they thought didn't exist and Hagrid disappeared before they could ask. So they looked for the platform.
"Excuse me, can you tell where I can find platform 9 3/4?" Harry asked and Ambree nudged him on the ribs while he glared at her.
"Platform 9 3/4? Trying to be funny do you?"
"Do you really think that mugs or muggles whatever they're named will know where a magical platform is located? I'm sorry but I actually thought you were smart" She laughed at him
"It's better than not asking at all is it. Just in case Bree"
"Sure it is Harry"
He playfully smacked her head and they both laughed before continuing looking for the platform.
"It's the same every year, packed with muggles" They heard a woman say
"Muggles?"
"Hagrid explained"
"Platform 9 3/4 this way, come on! Alright Percy, you first"
One of the ginger boys stood infront of a brick wall and ran straight through it. Harry gasped and as usual Ambree thought it was wicked.
"Fred, you next!" The woman said
"He's not Fred, I am" One of the boys they assumed were twins said
"Honestly woman, you call yourself our mother" the other boy said
"Oh I'm sorry George"
One of the boys walked infront of the brick wall and turned to his mother.
"I'm only joking. I am Fred."
He ran into the wall and disappeared and his twin brother ran directly after him.
"They are my new friends. They just don't know it yet. Maybe they like pranks. So cool" She laughed and Harry sighed
"Sometimes I wonder how we're related. Ow! What was that for?"
"That Harry is for being ungrateful for having a fantastic sister like... me" She smiled at her brother
"Oh believe me I am grateful to have you Bree" Harry mumbled and Ambree heard nothing of that. She turned to the woman so had her hand on her back.
"Excuse me, could you tell us how to...?"
"How to get into the platform?"
She nodded
"Don't worry dears, it's Ron's first time to Hogwarts as well "
They turned to Ron who smiled at them and they smiled back to him.
"All you have to do, is to walk straight into the wall between platforms 9 and 10. Best to run if you're nervous"
"Good luck" the little girl beside the woman said. Ambree smiled at her.
"You first, I'll be behind you" She told her brother.
He stood there for a second and then he closed his eyes and ran through between the platforms. He got to the other side and opened his eyes and stared fascinated at the train while stepping aside to wait for his sister. She also looked at the train like she's never seen a train before. Then looked at her brother.
"Shall we go on? Maybe there will be good seats" she asked and he nodded.
They walked in and left the trolley at a place for trollies. And found an empty compartment. They put away their bags and sat down and soon enough. The train started to go. They talked about random things the few good memories they had from the Dursley's together to Hogwarts. After a while the boy from the muggle platform came to them.
"Excuse me? Do you mind? Everywhere else is full"
"Not at all"
He smiled and sat down next to Harry. Ambree and Harry smiled at him.
"I'm Ron by the way. Ron Weasley"
"I'm Harry. Harry Potter and this is my twin sister Aubree Potter"
"But Bree sounds better" She said smiling.
Ron's jaw dropped. "So it's true. I mean, do you two really have the...?" And he pointed to his forehead.
"The Scar" Bree asked. Ron nodded
"Oh yeah" Harry said and them both showed their scars.
"Wicked" Ron said
"See! I'm not the only one saying 'Wicked' hmm" Bree whispered screamed and Ron looked amused.
An old lady walked past them.
"Anything off the trolley dears?"
"No thanks, I'm all set"
Harry and Bree looked at each other and nodded as if understanding each other.
"We'll take the lot"
After a while they still sat and ate the sweets while Bree read through all the books they are gonna have through their first year. She got so deep into the books so she didn't really hear their conversation about Bertie Bott's every flavor beans, chocolate frogs and stuff. What got her attention for a while was Ron's rat Scabbers. She thought the rat was weird some way. Like it was scared and looking for stuff but didn't. She shook it off and continued reading and ignoring the scoldings from Harry being anti-social. But they got her attention again was that she heard Ron say he's going to do magic.
He cleared his throat. "Sun-" he got interrupted by a bushy haired girl walking in.
"Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named Neville lost one" The girl said
"No" they all said
"Oh you're doing magic? Let's see then"
He cleared his throat again.
"Sunshine, daises, butter, mellow. Turn this stupid fat rat yellow" Something burned the rat and it squeaked but didn't turn yellow. The boys shrugged.
"Are you sure it's a real spell? It's not very good is it? I've tried a few spell and they all worked for me"
She took out her wand, sat down next to Bree and aimed to Harry's glasses.
"Occulus reparo" and all the cracks disappeared.
"Oh! I just read about that spell, it can really repair everything. Blah. So cool" She said.
Everyone looked at her like she was crazy except for the girl.
"What? Is reading wrong?
"Absolutely not. It is really nessecary. I'm glad I've found someone who like books really. Holy cricket. You're Harry Potter. And you must be Aubree Potter. I'm Hermione Granger" She turned to Ron and looked at him judging "And you are?"
"Ron Weasley" He said while chewing.
"Pleasure, you three better change into robes. I expect we'll be arriving soon" she stood up and turned to Ron. "You've got dirt on your nose. Right there" And then she left
"She's also cool, but not the pranking type really" Bree said and Harry groaned.
"No prankings on me Bree"
"You would be good friends with my brothers Fred and George. But you can't trust them with anything really. They'll just prank you" Ron said
"Tell them that I think they are really cool. Pretending to be each other. Hilarious really"
"Try being their test bunny"
They changed into robes and continued talking about random things. Bree had already read all the books so she talked with the boys and the twins got themselves a new friend.
At night time they arrived.
"First years right here! Come on! Hurry up. Hello Harry, Hello Bree"
"Whoaaaaa" Ron said
"Come on then, this way to the boats. Follow me. Hurry up!
They got into the boats and Bree, Harry, Ron and Hermione shared a boat. They looked awed up to the castle and soon enough they arrived to a Professor.
"Welcome to Hogwarts! Now in a few moments you'll pass through these doors and join your classmates but before you can take your seats you must be sorted into houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin"
A platinum blonde haired boy smiled when the professor said Slytherin.
"While you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn your points any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year. The house with the most points wins the house cup-"
"Trevor" Neville exclaimed.
The professor looked down at Neville and his toad. And he looked up guilty.
"Sorry"
"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily" she said and left inside the Great Hall.
"So it's true then. What they were saying on the train. Aubree and Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts" The blonde boy said.
The new students started to gasp and whisper.
"This is Crabbe and Goyle. And I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy" And Ron snickered at that.
Draco looked disgusted to Ron.
"Think my name is funny so you? No need to ask yours. Read hair. And a hand me down robe. You must be a Weasley" He spat
And Aubree glared at Draco and wondered why he was so rude. And she doesn't like rude people and Harry was thinking the exact same thing as her and glanced over at Ron who looked sad.
"You'll soon find out some wizarding families are better than others. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort" He looked at Ron when he said that. "I can help you there"
He stretched out his hand for a handskade but the twins just looked at it and up again to his eyes. Aubree was glaring because he was rude to their new friend.
"I think we can tell the wrong sort for ourselves thanks" Harry answered for them both because Bree didn't shake his hand either.
Draco/Malfoy glared at them and the professor knocked on his shoulder so he would turn around.
"We're ready for you now, follow me"
They walked into the hall Hermoine told Bree about the bewitched ceiling and stopped infront of a chair with an old hat. And the students looked awed at the roof
"You will wait along here please, Now before we begin. Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words"
He stood up and looked at everyone in the hall.
"I have a few start-of-term notices I wish to announce. First years please note the dark forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also our care taker Mr. Filch, has asked me fo remind you that the third floor corridor is out of bounds. To everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you" Dumbledore said
The professor looked at the list so she could say the first name.
"When I call your name, you will come forth. I shall place the sorting hat on your head and you will be sorted into your houses"
She looked at the list
"Hermione Granger"
"Oh no, okay relax"
"Mental that one I'm telling you" Ron said to the twins.
Bree turned to him "That's not really nice to say"
After a while the hat shouted "GRYFFINDOR"
The Gryffindor table cheered and applauded loudly for the new Gryffindor and Ron looked disappointed. Bree smiled and gave a small applaud to her.
"Draco Malfoy"
The hat barely touched his head and shouted "SLYTHERIN" and the Slytherin table bursted into cheers.
"Every wizard who went into Slytherin went bad in the end"
Aubree thought he was judging too fast but didn't say anything. She knew it was hopeless to tell him.
"Susan Bones"
After a short time the hat shouted "HUFFLEPUFF" and the Hufflepuff table cheered for her.
A dark haired professor stared at the twins and their scars started to hurt. The professor got surprised as he looked at the twins. Harry looked just like James and Aubree looked like just like.....Lily. It's almost as he thought that she was Lily but remembered.
"Ronald Weasley"
He sat on the chair
"Hmmm. Another Weasley. I know where to put you....GRYFFINDOR!!!!" And again the Gryffindor table cheered loudly.
"Harry Potter"
Dumbledore sat up straight and the entire hall went into total silent and all attention was on Harry. He squeezed Aubree's hand to comfort both of them and went to the chair.
"Hm, Difficult, very difficult. Plenty of courage I see, not bad mind either. Very protective of your sister I see. There is talent oh yes and thirst to prove yourself but where to put you?"
"Not Slytherin, not Slytherin"
"Not Slytherin eh? Are you sure? You would do great in Slytherin"
"No not Slytherin"
"No? Well if you're sure better be.... GRYFFINDOR!!!" The entire table stood up and cheered very loudly to Harry.
"Aubree Potter"
Once again the entire hall went silent Harry wanted to be in the same house as his sister so he sat anxiously. Watched and hoped. Dumbledore leaned over the table to watch closely. Harry smiled at her and she smiled back.
"I hope she gets into Gryffindor" Harry said to Ron.
"Yeah me too" He answered
She sat down on the chair and McGonagall out the hat on her head.
"Aha! The other Potter hm. Very difficult one to eh. Very smart and clever one would fit good in Ravenclaw but but not very studious hmm. Plenty of courage want to show it just like your brother. Protective of him to I see. Very kind but have not to much patience so not Hufflepuff. Would do very very good in Slytherin but still either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. But I know now where to put you....GRYFFINDOR" She smiled wide and the entire table went into loud cheers.
"WE GOT THE POTTERS"
"WE GOT THE POTTERS" she heard the Weasley twins say loudly.
And she swore that she saw Professor McGonagall jump and smile in excitement because she got the Potters in her house.
She ran over to the Gryffindor table where Harry gave her a bone crushed hug.
"I was so anxious you have no idea"
She laughed "Well I almost got into Ravenclaw, but I don't study much so I got here"
"Well I'm glad we're in the same house."
She sat down middle of Hermione and Harry.
"But do not pull any pranks on me or I'll-" Harry got interrupted by the Weasley twins.
"Oi! Did someone say prank? Fred Weasley by the way. Mini Potter do you like pulling pranks?" Fred asked Aubree
"Actually. I'm the oldest, but yes. Wait... Mini Potter?" She asked?
"Sorry, though you were the younger one and Georgie. I think I've found another prank partner"
"Oh yeah Freddie? Hm you look like a prankster"
Harry and Ron shakes their head at their sister/friend for already planning a prank with Fred and George. The feast went fast and it was delicious, they met new ghosts and it was really cool.
Soon enough the Gryffindor prefect Percy lead the new students to their common room.
"Come on hurry up! Gryffindor follow me" Percy said.
"Ravenclaw, this way!" The Ravenclaw prefect said.
"This is the most direct path to the dormitories. Keep an eye on the stairs. They like to change. Keep up please. Follow me hurry up come on!" Percy said.
The students followed him up. Soon enough they reached a lady in a pink dress on a painting.
"Password?"
"Caput Draconis"
"Wow" A boy named Seamus said
The painting opened and the common room was shown behind it.
"Follow me, Quickly come on. Gather round here! Welcome to the Gryffindor common room. The Boys dormitories is up to the left and girls. The same on your right. Your belongings have already been brought up"
Everyone went to the dormitories. Harry shared the same room as Neville Longbottom, Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas and Ron Weasley. And Ambree shared with Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, Katie Bell And Hermione Granger. But before the twins entered their rooms the turned to each other.
"First night without me sis. You will probably miss me" Harry said while hugging her.
"As if, it's a cool school I must say. Epic being away from the Dursley's." Ambree said
"I hundred precent agree with you. Really. But if you need anything I'm just across I know same with you to"
"Yeah, we'll Goodnight Harry James Potter"
"Goodnight Aubree Lily Potter"
They smiled at each other and went to their rooms. Everyone in Aubrees room were asleep already and she changed and went to sleep. But Harry sat at the window and pet Hedwig. He looked out. Smiled to himself and after a while. He went to bed.
