The challenge was concluded with the Devil's win, which meant both the eternals and terrestrials were going to spend the night in the haunted theater.

The angels were very sad that they lost, but respected the rules of the challenge and went to prepare themselves, all but one was unprepared before hand.

Elos began keeping a very close, and stern eye on one devil, since she was acting very suspicious as of late. It started when she invited her boyfriend to the Summer School. Elos is a naturaly cautious, wary of any who gets close to her beloved, though she won't say those exact words.

She was fully aware of the feelings Kabale had, and if they weren't already together, she would have respected Kabale as a rival, but there was no room in Sulfus's heart for any other person. But Kabale is a stubborn devil, disrespectful, rude, just as devilish as any other.

If Kabale wanted, she could have any other devil, but no, she wants one who's already taken. Elos fears Kabale has something planned, and unfortunately, her intuition tends to be spot on.

Sulfus isn't exactly unaware of how Kabale feels, however, he's chosen to be indifferent towards her. In his mind, indifference towards her feelings is the same as a clear rejection. A rejection that Kabale simply turns a blind eye to.

On their way to the theater, Elos stuck close to her friend Jace, much to Sulfus's displeasure.

"Why is she hanging off him when I'm right here...." He hissed under his breath, glaring at the girl and her friend.

Cabiria rolled her eyes. "Maybe it's because you've been acting like a devil towards her for a while..."

"What do you mean? I've been great!"

"... Seriously?" She knitted her eyebrows, staring blankly at her friend for a full minute, then just shaking her head. "That girl is doomed."

"What?" Sulfus seemed confused as he looked over to the angel in human form smiling and laughing with her terrestrial friend, and despite that, the night went on as they made their way into the "haunted" theater.

Edward was insistent on making the experience even more scary, staying that, "It's the only way to bring out the ghost." It was all part of his not-so-secret plan to get closer to Jennifer.

Telling scary stories to spook each other was just a perfect plan. Absolutely nothing could go wrong with a bunch of teens trying to scare each other- right?

Andrew told his story first, and that unnerved most of the students by the time Sulfus got up and told his story. While listening, Elos and Jace were whispering to each other, something that Sulfus couldn't help but notice.

It wasn't long before his story finished, and Sweet got up to tell her story, which was more funny rather than scary.

After that, Jace nudged Elos towards center stage and she just glared at him. She didn't really want to tell a story, but for the sake of not hearing his mouth later, she gave in.

Elos waited until the other stopped laughing, and began her story. "One day, I was in a museum to get away from all of you, like usual." She shrugged, and the other chuckled a bit. "There was a new exhibit by a local artist and I decided to go down that hall. It was long, and I was the only one there. The art pieces were subpar, hardly made any sense, but who am I to judge..."

The light flickered over her head, and a dark mist rolled from under her feet.

She smiled as she went on. "The hall began dimming the further I went, just slowly growing darker, and darker, then something brushed my ankle. When I looked down, there was nothing there, so I carried on. Deeper into the slowly dimming hall, where the paintings began to curl and I suddenly felt like I was being watched. Yet, I continued."

The students began shuddering while the devils looked like they wanted popcorn and the Angel's hugged each other.

"I began feeling sluggish, and something brushed my back, but when I turned, there was nothing there. There was no paintings, or lights behind me, only a wall that couldn't have possibly been there, all I could do was walk forward... The end." She winked and Jace almost screamed.

"No way! You can't end it like that! That is totally unfair!" He pouted and Elos shrugged.

Sulfus glared at him, "It's her story, she can do what she wants."

The girl sat down next to her friend and blew a kiss to her boyfriend, which she never does, and Sulfus's face turned a bright shade of pink as he looked away from her.

The right went on and the kids began growing tired, falling asleep next to their friends. Sulfus yawned while waving Elos over and she said a quick "g'night" to her friend before making her way to her partner's side. She was too sleepy to think about being mad and rested her head on his chest while he wrapped his arms around her.

Everyone was resting just fine when four phones when off at once, then eight, then nine. All the eternals' phones were ringing it it was loud and annoying. The weirdest part was that they all turned their phones off before coming to the theater, to the terrestrials began to panic, even more so when the lights shut off.

Everyone ran to the doors which were either locked, or blocked, and that freaked everyone out even more. Well, except for Elos, who had pulled Sulfus aside.

"Hey, Kabale is getting a little... Out of place, don't you think? This little prank of hers went a little too far and I dunno, I think she's more into you that you think." She gripped his arm. "And I don't like it."

Sulfus smirked, "Is that why you've been so annoyed with me?"

Elos snapped. "Is now really the- ugh... Sulfus, if you can't shut that girl down, we need to rethink things in this relationship." She let go of him and just before he could say anything the lights turned back on and the devil in question was laughing with Andrew on the stage.

Elos folded her arms, if she were less of a person she'd glare, but at this point it wasn't worth it. She went toward the stage with the others and Sulfus right behind her, trying to talk but getting nowhere. He's managed to upset Elos twice within a week, it's a new record, especially since Elos is fairly laid back at home.

The students kind of argued among themselves, then something awful happened, Jennifer fell into a sink hole. Andrew was more than ready to go after her, but Sulfus stopped him, and Raf directed the terrestrials to stay in the dressing room just in case.

Once they were gone, the celestials returned to their original form and went into the tunnel after Jennifer, with Urie and Cabiria leading the way.

The tunnel lead to a large cavern with all sorts of strange trinkets, and a door that was hardly being kept closed by a magic lock. The wind that was coming from the door was almost enough to break it down.

Jennifer was found, but was stuck to a ledge by a spider's web, and Elos tried to make sense of it all but her questions were answered by the appearance of Tyco.

Tyco was the fallen angel they had seen in one of Reina's plots. It was the one plot that made Elos become a devil, and Raf and Sulfus.... Seeing him hits a very sore spot for her and Raf gripped her shoulder, knowingly.

Elos looked at her, then shook her head. "Don't.... Just... Don't. Okay?"

Raf pulled her hand back, nodding.

If it wasn't enough that they had to face an enraged ancient fallen angel, they had to do so while making sure Jennifer didn't fall.

Elos isn't exactly built for combat, so she did her best to keep her friends from getting hurt. She couldn't help wondering why Tyco was doing what he was doing. Where was Tyco's partner, and what exactly was behind that door? The wind felt familiar, the sigh of deception came from it, she guessed, but why was it locked?

It took the eternals' using Prisma Fly to stop the rampaging Angel, and to finally get his story.

Behind that door was the path to metamorphosis, and that wind is called the wind of metamorphosis. That wind made Tyco and his partner feel a little reckless and they went in, attempting the trials in order to become terrestrial together. On the last trial, they failed and Tyco was forced to return and locked up the door so no one could go in. They traded mascots to remind each other of their love.

The reason Tyco shut down the theater was because the play Romeo and Juliet was such a sad love story, it reminded him of his own.

That key they had destroyed was the only key to the magic lock on the door to the path, and that door was ready to burst at any moment. All they really had to do was leave the door open, and the typhoon that was now coming, wouldn't. However, Tyco felt the need to lock it for whatever reason.

They could no longer unlock the door, because the key was broken, and since it could have been dangerous, someone would have to stay behind to stop the typhoon.

Elos shrugged, then shooed her friends away. "Go. I'll stay and stop whatever is coming through that door."

"That's insane, you'll need help!" Mikki shook her head, and Gas nodded, "Mikki's got a point, ya'know."

"I don't agree, the only way to save the rest of us is if one of us stays behind." Sulfus nudged Elos, smiling at her. "And I'll stay behind to help you."

Kabale stomped her foot. "Absolutely not, you're coming with us, end of discussion!"

Sulfus laughed, "If you're my friend, you won't make this harder for me than it already is."

"But what if something goes wrong! I guess... I'm just.. I'm so sorry, Sulfus." Kabale lowered her head.

Elos smiled, "Hey, Kabale. Wasn't it you that told me a devil should never apologize?"

The angels laughed, and they call came together for a group hug.

"We'll see you later, right Elos?" Raf asked, holding back her tears so Elos wouldn't feel guilty.

"No goodbyes, our friendship is eternal, right?" Urie held them for a minute, then had to wipe her tears away.

Elos nodded, then gave them all the tightest hug she could manage. "I'll see you all later. Angels and devils."

She stepped away, waving at them all before turning to the door. Sulfus watched everyone fly away, telling them to protect their terrestrials, then made his way to Elos's side.

"So, what's the plan?"

Elos shook her head, humming, "I don't have one. We're on our own, but..." She tucked her hair behind her ear, the wind blowing it all over the place. "I know we'll be fine."

Sulfus sighed, "You're so brave, and beautiful."

Elos rubbed the back of her neck, blush creeping up on her face as she took a deep breath. "You're not mad... At me getting jealous of Kabale? Or for ignoring you?"

Sulfus nodded, "Why would I be mad? It's natural to get jealous sometimes, El."

"I know, I know but... Ugh, I'm so pathetic..." She mumbled to herself, her halo fading as horns replaced it.

Sulfus gently wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Elos... Are you okay?"

"Hm? Yeah, why do you-... I have horns don't I." She sighed. "How does that even work?"

Sulfus gave her a light peck on the forehead. "You'll figure it out."

Elos's face went from light pink to a bright red and she covered her face with both hands, nearly squealing, "...I love you so much, Sulfus..."

Sulfus gasped, then he smirked and his heart raced in his chest. "Say that again? I didn't hear you."

"Y-Yes you did!" She pushed him away and ran over to pick up the key. "A-anyway, I think I can fix the key."

Sulfus pouted just a bit, then tilted his head. "How?"

"My tears. When this was made, Tyco had a devil's tears on his hands, remember?" Elos pressed the ends of the key together. "I'm not all devil, and I don't cry, but..."

Sulfus leaned towards her, whispering softly in her ear. "I love you too, Elos."

Elos froze mid sentence and if she were blushing anymore, she'd be on fire. In that spot second, she let her guard down and a single tear rolled down her cheek, dripping onto the key.

Sulfus watched as the two ends melted together and dried the streak on Elos's cheek. "You're even beautiful when you cry."

Elos froze for a good five seconds, then the door caught both of their attentions.

"Sulfus, we can talk about this later! Th-the door is more important right now!" She turned her face away and Sulfus just laughed.

"Yes ma'am. I'll hold the door so it can relieve the pressure, then we can let it open."

"That's a great idea!" Elos flew over to the door while Sulfus powered up using his body fly and held the door still.

The second it unlocked, the door tried to burst open, but Sulfus held it together pretty well.

After it was done, the other eternals returned to check on their friends, and Tyco decided to walk the path once again.

That should've been the end. But summer school wasn't over just yet.

_______

In class the next day, the teachers informed the students that they'd have the day off to do whatever they wish, and they chose to watch the play, however, Jennifer had hurt her ankle, and Edward had indigestion, so who would play the lead?

Elos and Sulfus.

The students begged for those to to be the lead actors, and they were almost forced to give in.

Elos leaned against Sulfus on stage, sighing. "This is some serious type-casting... Seriously, us playing star-crossed lovers."

Sulfus chuckled, "Well, at least our love story isn't so tragic... Hey, I've been thinking about that path."

Elos looked up at him. "Do you want to...walk that path with me? I mean, we could end up like Tyco..."

"I'm willing to take that risk to be with you all the time... I think I know why you cried yesterday." He hugged her to his chest.

"Yeah? Enlighten me, darling." She giggled.

Sulfus cleared his throat. "Hey, my heart can only take so much of you being cute."

Elos rolled her eyes, "Admit it, you're just weak to my natural charm."

"Oh, I definitely am." He smiled. "And I always will be."

She took a deep breath, then laughed, "I know why I cried yesterday, and I'll tell you... Later."

Sulfus rolled his eyes, then nodded and let her go because the show was about to begin. "Are you ready, my Juliette?"

Elos nodded, holding out her hand. "Are you, my Romeo?"

Sulfus took her hand, interlacing their fingers. "Naturally."

The curtain began to rise as the two smiled at each other.

And so the summer comes to an end.

Epilogue end.
