Elrond's POV:
I sat alongside the waterfall, the only place in Rivendell where I could be alone. It felt like my heart was broken into two pieces.
I sent the Fellowship off believing they had somewhat of a chance to return. That they had chance of destroying the ring. And that's what happened... the ring of power was destroyed. However, the one I hoped most would return didn't.
Y/n. The love of my long life, was dead.
I remembered the sparks of her touch, like magic, running through my veins. Her eyes shined like the brightest stars. I can't believe she was gone. I don't know what's true anymore. It's like she is still with me, like her magical smile is still beaming down on me. But when I turn, nobody is there.
We have been through so much. I can't get over her.
I still call our love magic, even though I am cut in two.
This was a purposefully short one, I was inspired by "Magic" by Coldplay.
