~Wilbur's POV~

"Wake up." Tommy says, as he shook me out my slumber. "What time is it?" I say, rubbing my eyes in the process, before looking out the window to see the moon still out, shining as bright as it could ever be. "It doesn't matter. We need to get her out of here." He says, grabbing all sorts of stuff.

"Who are you talking about?" I ask, confused. "Y/n." He said. Y/n? I ask myself. I then remember the argument we had last night. I never actually agreed to let Y/n go. "Are you kidding me?" I ask, chuckling actually convinced he was kidding. He turns to face me with a distressed look on his face.

"Since when did we agree we were letting her go?" I ask him, getting out of bed, walking over to him. I can see his eyes in the dim light, and he's telling himself 'Never' in his head. We never agreed on anything. "Look, I know you don't want to let her go, but it's only for the best." He says, dropping a saddle and lead to the ground.

"Tommy, who makes the rules around here?" I ask him. I can see the look he's giving me that says 'You'. "Exactly, so go back to bed and we'll discuss this in the morning." I tell him.

<<Time skip to noon>>

"War is tomorrow and I need everyone to be ready. You got that?" I yell, making sure my voice was heard by all. "Tommy, you're on potions. Tubbo, you're on weapons. Fundy, you're on armor. Niki, make that thing I told you to make. And..." I continue. I know I'm missing something.

Everyone starts splitting apart around the place, grabbing resources and all that, before I see Eret who was stood behind the crowd. He seemed nervous, but I didn't think of it much. It was probably because of the war anyways.

"Ahhh, Eret you're here." I say, I always have this thing for Eret and it wasn't really a good thing. My intuition always told me not to say much when he's around. He doesn't really say much either and he's more of secretive person, than the expressive one you'd think he is.

There isn't much to say about him too. Whenever I'd ask questions about like where he came from or relation to anyone, he wouldn't say much at all. Just short responses like 'I'm from around here, not too far.' or 'My family died in a fire years ago.'.

He chuckled nervously, before giving me an actual response. "Yup, here I am..." He said, flailing his arms to side, before letting them drop back down. "I'd like for you to meet someone." I say, stepping to the side, revealing Y/n who was stood behind me.

I try to hide her as much as possible and I've told her not to say a word to anyone she doesn't know unless I tell her to. I've also told her not to reveal her name. She didn't question it, but just listened instead. Maybe because of the thought I'd kick her out again.

"This is our new member and I'd like for you to teach her how to fight." I say. I wasn't sure if Y/n knew how to fight or not, but a little practice never hurts. "I- I was actually gonna go for a bit. I'm preparing a little something for tomorrows war." He says, fiddling with his fingers.

"Oh yeah, that's great. Don't worry about it, you can go." I told him with a fake grin on my face. He always backs out on these kind of stuff. I guess I'll have to teach her myself, that is if she doesn't already know how to fight.

He walks away into the distance and out the gates to I assume the forest. That's where he always runs off to. "Follow me Y/n." I say, as she scrambles to follow me.

We end up into one of the far ends of L'manburg, close to one of 4 walls, where no one ever goes to. In this area lays a shed which is about the size of the van. "Why are we behind a shed?" She asks, with suspicion growing in her eyes. "Can't we just do whatever we're doing somewhere else? It stinks over here." She complains.

I chuckle and gently shake my head. She sounds just like Tommy, always complaining. Speaking of Tommy, he doesn't necessarily agree with keeping Y/n here, but he knows there isn't much he could do. "We never know who might be watching." I tell her, just like what I told Niki last night.

She looks confused, but no longer complains about it and instead places one of her hands to her hips and giving me a look that clearly asks why I brought her here. "You need to be able to fight if you're going to be joining us in this war." I tell her strictly.

It's how I've always been. I grew up to be the leader and that's what I do. I give people orders, demands, and instructions. And as a leader, it takes a little convincing and a lot of voice.

She rolls her eyes, as the wind blows her hair back, revealing her collarbone and neck. Never knew that 10 years alone would leave someone with so much sass. "As if you could do better." She says with some kind of attitude in her voice. Has she always been this moody?

"I doubt that." I say, because as far as I know, I'm the best fighter that roam these beautiful lands we call L'manburg. "Wanna have a duel?" She asks, confidently, walking towards me. Funny of her to think she can actually beat me in a fight.

"Say less." I say with a smug smirk on my face. Which she gladly agrees with the glimpse of determination in her eyes.

I walk over into the shed which is actually where we keep most of our weak weapons, which are bound to break in a matter of seconds. I grab 2 iron swords and 2 sets of iron armor just to be safe, before walking back out.

I hand her the armor, as we both start putting it over our clothes, before I then toss her a sword, which is significantly more likely to die sooner than the one I have. "This sword is nearly dead." She says swinging it around the air, observing it.

"I know." I say, obviously giving it to her on purpose, as I walk over towering above her. "Good luck, little one." I tell her, slightly tilting my head, before backing away. I can practically hear her whisper things to herself underneath that helmet.

She's clearly annoyed, which makes us pretty even. Again, funny of her to think she can actually beat me in a fight, as long as she isn't Dream, I'll be fine. "On 3." I say, before moving into my stance position.

3, I adjust the sword in my hand, as she stood there unfazed.

2, my eyes are on her, watching her every move which honestly isn't a lot.

1, then everything starts to happen in a matter of seconds.

Our swords clashing against each other, leaving me with this irritating sound of absolute madness in my ears. I really wasn't expecting this at all. A fight with her is like trying to get out of a maze. I was lost.

Lost in all that happens in this moment. The way she twists her arm to maneuver the sword confuses me. She moves so fast and yet her moves are so precise. The sword practically glides through the air.

She uses a variety of strategies that I'm surprisingly familiar with, I just never found a way to actually avoid it, especially with how fast she is, it's hard to think and at the same time fight. She basically does it effortlessly.

I start to lose track of where she actually starts to move her sword which is a big problem, to the point I start flailing my sword around in any direction possible, hoping to avoid her attacks. And it was unexpected, but it was bound to happen, especially with what she did back there.

Her sword breaks. With 3 pieces on the blade on the ground and the hilt still in her hand, she drops it immediately. But she wasn't done yet and I don't think she'll ever be, but with advantage of still having my sword intact, I finally start to find that hope, I've lost in the beginning.

She starts charging towards me, dodging my every swing. She then kicks my shin, which I wince in pain, giving me a distraction, as she lands a hit on my face, which hurts a lot more, I don't think the armor even helps.

With my sword now slowly lowering, she takes this time to her advantage, as she kicks me in the stomach, causing me to fall back and leaving a dent on my chest plate. My sword to flies out my hand. And everything seemed to move in slow motion, as she catches the sword midair.

Now on the ground, she leaves a foot on my chest holding the sword to my neck. "When do I get my prize?" She asks. She looks like an absolute prick. She could've honestly showed a little more sympathy to her goddamn brother. What an absolute embarrassment.

"Y- You can get your foot off me now." I say nervously, not expecting that to come out of me. She obliges, but leaves the sword to my neck. "The sword too, please." I say, trying my best not to breath so heavily, too afraid that I might decapitate myself.

"Only because you said 'please'." She says, before throwing the sword off to the side, as I quickly scramble to stand up. I can't believe I just lost a fight with her. With Y/n. Out of all the people it has got to be her.

"When did you learn how to fight?!" I ask, not knowing actually when, seeing that I never encountered her with a sword ever. "A friend taught me." She says. She practically saw the confusion in my eyes, knowing this is her first interaction with a human in years. Let alone a friend.

"Before you kicked me out." She tells me, as I try to piece things together, but then she starts to explain herself. "I can't remember their name, but I remember having a friend back then, who taught me how to fight." She continues and I start to get what she's talking about.

"Was it a he or a she?" I ask, curiously. "Can't remember, but I remember meeting someone back then who'd see me every night at our house." I instantly know who she's talking about. And no, they didn't see her every night at our house, but in fact she saw him every night in the forest.

It's Dream. I knew her fighting was familiar. She could be useful. I doubt she's any better than Dream though. He's the best fighter I know. I'm not gonna mention any of that though.

"Yeah... I remember them quite vividly too..." I say, forcing a smile onto my face.
