"do we have a plan or are we just going to stand around all day?" the red haired tamer asked as she placed her hands on her hips. the hatted boy glanced over at her with a raised eyebrow. "well, why don't you come up with something?" he asked. rika scoffed at kazu and rolled her eyes. "fine." she started, looking up at the phoenix digimon. "i say we climb on zhuqiaomon and fly around to scope things out." she stated. the brown haired boy hummed at the idea.
"oh, that's smart." he stated as he looked up at zhuqiaomon and then back at rika. "let's ask the digimon sovereign who wanted to turn us into digi-casserole to give us a piggy back ride." he scoffed. the redhead rolled her eyes one more time at him.
"chicken."
"i'm not chicken!"
the plum haired girl's eyes wandered over to the phoenix sovereign as he growled lowly. "zhuqiaomon, what's wrong?" takato asked as he looked at the firebird. "the true enemy..." he started, looking up. "it's nearby." he stated. "i can see the chaos it brings with my mind's eye." he added. the tamers gasped in awe as they all looked ahead. "well, i guess the true enemy is closer than we thought." the blue haired tamers said. the older tenya let out a loud sigh.
"it's one thing after another." asahi said, shoving his hands in his pockets. his twin nodded his head in agreement. "yeah, but it can't be helped." he stated. "and we still haven't found calumon, either." takato said. his digimon partner glanced up at the long blue dragon with wide eyes.
"uh, mr. azulongmon," guilmon started, gaining the sovereign's attention. "would you help us?" he asked sweetly. "please?" he finished. the blue dragon digimon nodded his head at his request. "of course." he started. "the catalyst must be retrieved at all costs." he said. "prepare yourselves, children!" he exclaimed as he descended ground level. "it is time." he finished. just as he said that, white clouds engulfed everyone.
"what's happening?" the brown haired tamer asked curiously.
before they all knew it, they were sucked in one big white cloud.
"hey!" the bespectacled boy exclaimed. "where'd everything go?" he asked. his hatted friend frowned. "why can't the digimon sovereign tell us what they're gonna do?" he asked. amari hummed softly, her brown eyes wandered around the inside of the cloud.
"i think he ate us!" kenta whined, earning a sigh from the plum haired girl.
"he didn't." the girl stated, gaining everyone's attention. the red haired tamer nodded at amari's deduction, walking to a cloud wall. "that would be ridiculous." she stated as she blew a hole in to the wall and poked her head out of it. she gasped in awe at what the view down below.
"we're flying!" she said. amari nodded, peaking her head out of the cloud. her brown eyes wandered the vast land below them in awe. "we sure are.." she whispered.
"oh great!" she heard the bespectacled boy whine. "i think i'm gonna be sick again!" he exclaimed. his hatted friend groaned loudly, almost in agreeance. "totally..." he muttered.
"it's freaky..." the red haired girl stated as her head left the hole she had created earlier. the red dragon digimon chuckled, shaking his head. "i like it." he mused with a big smile on his face. "it's like we're in the middle of big poof of cotton candy." he stated happily. the plum haired girl sighed softly as her brown eyes wandered up at the sky.
"you musn't worry, oracle." zhuqiaomon said, causing amari's eyes to wander down to the firebird. "illad will be just fine." he reassured. the young tamer pursed her lips together and nodded her head. her eyes wandered back up at the sky.
"yeah..." she whispered.
"mari!" lunamon's voice exclaimed from in the cloud. her partner hummed in confusion as she poked her head back inside. "yeah?" she asked as she looked over at the moon rabbit digimon. she watched as one of the rabbit digimon walked over to her and pounced into her arms with a smile on his face.
"moumentai!" he mused. "you need to stop worrying!" he exclaimed, poking her nose. "saturmon said he'll try his best to handle everything up there!" he stated. the plum haired tamer sighed softly at his words.
"i know but, ow!" her words were interrupted by a fist hitting her on top of her head. "what did saturmon tell you before we parted ways?" yuzuru asked, looking down at his cousin. "him and the olympians will do what they can up there." he stated. the younger tenya frowned at yuzuru as she rubbed the top of her head.
"you didn't have to hit me that hard."
"it was a mere tap." the younger twin said as he shoved his hands in his pockets. "and it better than asahi coming over here to harass you." he smiled, glancing over at his older brother who was currently cowering in the corner.
"dude, i don't do heights." he said lowly. the ferret like digimon around his neck shook his head while the masked digimon walked over to him and rubbed his back. "it's okay asahi." he reassured. "deep breaths, deep breaths..." he muttered. the younger twin groaned loudly, feeling a bit embarrassed for him.
"let me go comfort him, too..." he murmured as he strolled over to asahi. amari chuckled at him and shook her head. terriermon's black eyes wandered down at the bracelet on the girl's wrist. "it's different from the last one." he blurted out, startling amari. the plum haired girl looked down at the rabbit digimon in her arms, eyes flickering to the bracelet. "yeah because the old one di-" she paused, her brown eyes widening.
"thank you for reminding me!" the dark skinned tamer blurted out before putting down henry's partner. taking off her backpack, she quickly unzipped it and pulled out a jewelry box. the red haired girl glanced over at the plum haired girl in confusion.
"you brought your jewelry stuff here?"
"only because i have stuff i wanted to give you guys i made before we came here!" the other girl beamed as she opened the box. the blue haired tamer raised an eyebrow at her. "you finished them?" he asked as he looked over at her. amari nodded her head in response before glancing up at him. "and i know what you're about to say, 'mari, you had at least a month to give it to them.'" she said, mocking the blue haired boy's voice. "but i was also injured for a month too." she stated. "so, my timeline matches up perfectly." she smiled. her brown eyes wandered over the red haired girl first.
"for rika, i maaaaadddeee..." she paused, pulling out an anklet. "an anklet!" she mused as she dangled it in the air. the female tamer's violet eyes bore at the piece of jewelry in the air. "you should know i'm not into that sort of thing." she stated. the plum haired girl shook her head at her statement.
"it isn't as showy as you think." amari stated as she walked over to rika. "it's anklet, so it's-"
"i know what an anklet is, you space case." the redhead groaned. "it's just no-" she paused as her eyes caught a glimpse of several silver foxes on the chain. "there's foxes on here..." she murmured, earning a nod from the plum haired girl. "yup!" she smiled. "foxes are known for their intelligence and their cunning attitude." she stated. "i thought they were perfect for you." she stated. rika hummed out of intrigue, her eyes looking at the crystal centered in the middle.
"and the crystal?"
"oh, i think that my favorite part of this piece." amari said as she glanced at the crystal. "this is called petrified wood." she hummed. "it's known for healing family issues, regardless if it happened in the past or present." she said. rika hummed at amari before she reached over and grabbed the piece of the jewelry from her.
"thanks..." she muttered under her breath, earning a big grin from the plum haired girl. "no problem." she chirped. her brown eyes then wandered over to takato, who was currently talking to jeri. she shook her head as placed her box back in her bag.
'it's best if i give it to him some other time.'

"i hope we are in time to save the catalyst." the blue dragon digimon said as he began to descend in the crater. terriermon frowned at the sovereign's words. "really, no kiddin'?" he asked sarcastically. "so, what do ya say you step on it, huh?" he ordered. his tamer narrowed his eyes at him. "terriermon..." he began, earning a groan from his digimon. "i know..." he whined.
"we have arrived." azulongmon stated as he dropped off the tamers. "i don't see any sign of calumon." henry said as his gray eyes observed deeper in the cavern. "or the bottom either..." his partner stated worriedly. amari frowned as she squatted down. "i hope he isn't all the way down there." she murmured, earning a nod from her digimon in her arms. "if he is, then he must be so scared right now." she stated, earning a nod from the plum haired tamer.
"why couldn't he had put calumon in a nice meadow or something." the hatted tamer groaned. the dark skinned girl gasped quietly as new events popped in her head. she stood up once more and turned around, tapping on asahi's shoulder. her older cousin looked back at her with confusion. "what's up?" he asked. the young tamer glanced back down and the back at him.
"move to your left." she said as she pointed to his left. the older twin blinked at her before following her instructions. "what's wro-" he paused as he watched a pinkish blob float upwards. "what is that?" the goggleheaded tamer asked as he watched more fly up. "a lava lamp?" he added. the blue dragon digimon shook his head.
"it is...chaos." he stated solemnly. the tamers watched as the blob flew up and touched one of the floating rocks, gasping immediately as the rock disappeared. the older twin's brown eyes widened in shock. "my bag would've gone..." he muttered as he looked at the bag on his back. his eyes wandered over to his cousin. "thanks mari." he said, watching the plum haired girl nod her head. "no problem." she said as she hugged her digimon partner tightly.
"i've never seen something destroy so effortlessly." henry said in awe as more blobs destroyed the rocks. "oh that's nasty." kazu frowned. "how much of that stuff is there?" he asked. the green haired boy next to him frowned. "i sure hope calumon is okay..." he said.
"i'd never thought the true enemy would come so far so quickly." the dragon sovereign said. the phoenix sovereign flew beside him, nodding in agreement. "the chaos..." he started, looking down. "i must put a stop to this!" he exclaimed as he flew down. the plum haired tamer frowned at his actions.
"zhuqiaomon!" she exclaimed. "it's too dangerous!"
her words were useless against the sovereign.
"strange, isn't it?" azulongmon asked. "how the catalyst is both the source of out power and the our destruction." he stated. "but why?" henry asked as he looked up at the dragon sovereign. "the true enemy is drawn to the power of the catalyst gives us." the blue dragon explained. "it seeks it out and devours everything in its path." he added. the blue haired boy frowned at his words.
"so you're saying where ever calumon is,"
"you can be sure the enemy will appear leaving a wake of devastation." azulongmon finished. the brown haired tamer frowned. "poor calumon." he said. "he's always getting chased down." he added. "i have nightmares like that." the bespectacled boy said, earning a nod from kazu. "me too." he said. amari blinked and immediately looked up as she heard a growl in the sky.
"who's that?" she asked, squinting her eyes.
"hey, it's cyberdramon!" takato exclaimed. "and ryo's with him!" kazu said, looking over at the human boy that was perched on the digimon's shoulder. the plum haired girl frowned at the mention of the name. "like, akiyama?" she asked quietly as she watched the tamer and digimon land in front of them. the red haired tamer scoffed before nodding her head and looking over at amari.
"the only one."
the dark skinned tamer frowned groaned at her words.
"hey, it's the whole gang." the tan boy stated, blue eyes observing everyone in front of him. "i didn't think you all would be here." he said. "are we glad to see you!" the blue haired boy exclaimed, earning a nod from ryo. "same here." he said, his blue eyes wandering over to the redhead. "hey rika." he said smoothly. "you're looking good." he smirked. "you're not gonna leave again on my account, are ya?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. the female tamer rolled her eyes at the brown haired boy.
"please." she scoffed. "what are you doing here anyway?" she asked. ryo shook his head at her. "rika, you haven't changed a bit." he teased. the red haired girl rolled her eyes once more at him. "how observant of you ryo." she said sarcastically. "you haven't change a bit either." she stated. amari whistled lowly at the sass rika radiated.
"better you than me." she said to the tan boy, placing a hand on her hip. ryo's blue eyes wandered over to the plum haired tamer in awe. "no way, amari?" he asked as he walked up to her. amari nodded her head before closing her eyes on him. "in the flesh." she stated. the brown haired boy frowned at her.
"well, i see you've changed."
"and we see that you're still annoying." both of the female tamers droned.
the plum haired girl's eyes then widened as another premonition happened. she looked down and watched at the phoenix digimon flew up, screaming. "zhuqiaomon!" the goggleheaded tamer exclaimed. the red dragon digimon's eyes wandered over to the phoenix's missing left wing. "your wing..." he muttered. "i couldn't even get close!" he roared. "the chaos overwhelmed me!" he exclaimed. azulongmon narrowed his eyes at his counterpart.
"i warned you not to underestimate the true enemy's power." he said sternly. "it doesn't eat, sleep, or feel pain." he continued. "it exists only to destroy." he stated. the blue haired boy looked up at azulongmon. "so how can we defeat this chaos?" he asked, earning a nod from terriermon. "yeah!" he blurted out. "i mean, how are we suppose to kick it's butt if it doesn't even have one?" he asked. henry looked at the rabbit digimon on his shoulder. "good point." he said. "maybe we shouldn't even try." he muttered. the plum haired girl furrowed her eyebrows at him.
"you can't be serious, right?" she asked as she looked at him. "what about calumon?" she asked. his gray eyes wandered over to the female tamer. "i'm just saying we should only focus on saving calumon." he stated.
"if the chaos hasn't had him for lunch." kazu groaned. the goggleheaded tamer frowned at his friend. "don't say that!" he exclaimed. the hatted tamer looked over at him. "hey, i'm just saying it how it is." he stated. "think about it. calumon is as tough as butterscotch pudding." he said. the plum haired haired tamer hummed lowly, her brown eyes watching as more of the chaos float.
"the chaos is increasing!" azulongmon exclaimed frightfully. he flew closer towards the rock the kids were on, nudging his head against it. "hold on tight!" he shouted as he pushed the rock. the band of tamers and their began to scream as the dragon digimon pushed them into the side the crater. amari's grip on lunamon loosened, causing her to fall down on to the rock while her tamer's body collided with the hard surface of the canyon. the young girl groaned lowly as she slid on against the canyon. "that's gonna leave a mark in the morning..." she muttered, rubbing her side. her digimon partner nodded her head, whining softly. "no kidding..."
"my head hasn't hurt this bad since i had to listen to kenta's knock knock jokes." the hatted tamer complained, earning a glare from the green haired boy. "hey!" he exclaimed. kazu glanced over at him with a sheepish grin plastered on his face. "c'mon dude, they are pretty bad." he stated truthfully.
"you guys, we have to come up with a plan and quick." takato said. the blue haired tamer frowned at the goggleheaded boy. "yeah but the canyon is way too deep and the chaos seems to be everywhere." he stated. "it's like everything's against us." he added.
"we seem destined to fail." the brown haired girl said solemnly, causing takato to look back at her sadly.
"don't say things like that jeri." he said, sadness evident in his voice. "we can't give up..." he muttered lowly as he looked down. the plum haired girl frowned at jeri's words, her eyes closing. 'the whole leomon thing is still bothering her...' she thought, sighing. 'if only there was a way for us to make her ha-' she paused as another premonition played. her eyes opened wide and darted towards her red haired friend, who already had moved away from the group with her digimon partner by her side.
"hey rika what do you think you're doing?" the hatted tamer asked, furrowing his eyebrows. the redhead looked back at him. "what does it look like i'm doing?" she scoffed. the plum haired girl watched as ryo ran over to her. "rika, come back!" he shouted, stopping inches away from her. "it's too dangerous." he added. amari's eyes widened as rika slid down the slope of the canyon side, only to be stopped by the fox like digimon.
"rika please." the plum haired tamer said as she stood up. "i'd rather for us to-"
"amari, i'll be fine." the other girl spoke, earning a sigh from the young girl. before the plum haired girl could say anything, ryo stepped forward. "i never met anyone so stubborn." the brown haired boy huffed as his digimon flew beside him. the boy's blue eyes wandered over to cyberdramon. "we better go get her." he sighed, turning his attention to the red haired girl. "she's gonna hate me even more for this." he stated as he began to follow her with his partner following him closely. amari let out another sigh as she watched them descend down the canyon.
"you two please be careful!" she exclaimed, hearing a snort come from the red haired tamer. "ok mom!" she teased playfully. amari huffed and rolled her brown eyes at the girl's remark, crossing her arms over her chest. a small smile crept one her face as she saw yet another premonition.
"good..." she whispered, running a hand through her hair. "we didn't want to lose you."
