Dawa's phone was dinging non-stop. He was too busy dancing to notice his phone buzzing. it was an off day, in two days they will perform. Dawa mind was restless. He knew that he messed up on many occasions. The interview kept replaying in head, he didn't much care for what people were going to say about him but he did care what people were going to say about BTS.

Another thing he kept messing up on, the dance moves. "I need to perfect this by tomorrow." He mumbled to himself as he continued to sweat. The squeaks from his shoes echoed throughout the practice room. Which was not all that big, and he felt that the space was even bigger without the others around him. He missed the closeness, the counting from Hobi, he missed the Maknae line laughing and causing mischief. He missed it all.

"If you want to be around them, you got to be better mate." He stopped, staring at himself. He checked his watch. It was set in London time zone, but Dawa being the mathematician he was, he quickly calculated the Korean time.

"Almost 11:30...I should head back."

Checking the phone he noticed all the missed calls and messages from his members. "Oh no." He quickly called Jin.

"Hi Hyung. I know you're mad, but I swear I didn't mean to ignore..."

"For the past 2 hours we've been trying to call you! Come home fast please..." Jin's voice trailed off and a new one came. "Hyung! There aren't any chips! I'm starving!"

"I can hear Jungkook winging, I'll get some food on the way."

"Thanks. Also next time just at least send a simple text that you're okay." Jin added, he was a little annoyed at Dawa, times like this Dawa really worried Jin more than the Maknaes when they get into trouble.

Dawa paused, he was getting his things together. "Hyung. I- Nevermind. See you soon."

~~~~~~~~~~~
He had a bag full of snacks and of course healthy food. Some apples, oranges, eggs, yogurt and vegetables. He also got everyone their favorite chips, they each had their favorite chips so often or debated about it so often he memorized all of them.
The night was getting colder. The wind picking up, tousling his thick midnight hair, the longer it grew the more curls he got. But some days it looked flat straight, some days it looked like he got a perm. Today it was in the middle. He pulled his hoodie over his head to keep his head warm.
"Wish I could see the stars." He mumbled. The cars buzzed by, the people were all rushing home.
"Me too, kid." A grumpy voice made Dawa jump back. He looked to the right to see an old man. He had a smell going on. He was only wearing a Tee and long pants that looked too small for him. "Even if it's cold out, at least I would be able to see the stars but of course I can't have that. Can't have nothing. This here's the only place I get a room above me. You heard the saying good shoes take you to good places? Yeah, these shoes aren't going to be taking me anywhere good. This is the best these shoes can do." He grumbled. Dawa looked up so see the small portico roof. He looked at the old man's shoes. His toes were poking out of his shoes. No socks.
"Here you go sir." Dawa handed him his container of cut up mangoes that he had brought for himself and he handed him his hoodie. He was now in his orange tee with a black outline of a teddy bear. "Also, I hope these shoes take you to good places." He said as he slipped his shoes and socks off. 'They should fit him, he looks like he has the same shoe size as me.' He thought as he walked away, barefoot. He knew that what he did wasn't much, he would have given the man a home if he could, but this was all he could do.
"Kid. You're going to get sick! And your feet are going to get hurt!"
"I live close by. Goodnight." Dawa quickly walked away, he was getting cold and he didn't live that close. The others usually have the manger drive them to the company if Dawa's already there. But if Dawa is with them, they would walk. Dawa almost always walked everywhere he could, but now he was barefoot. Hr could feel the ground, he felt everything. The roughness of the concrete. The sting of the cold. The little rubbles and tiny glass. So concrete and sturdy, he felt grounded.
Then he reached his dorm. "I'm back." He called out, not rally raising his voice since the space was small.
"Welcome back Hyun...Did you get robbed?" The rest of the boys rushed to the small kitchen which was where Jimin and Dawa was standing.
"Why are you barefoot? Where are your shoes and socks? And tell me you did not just wear that today!" Hobi started bombarding him with questions. "Let me go call the police! Wait. are you hurt?" Hobi was now patting him everywhere trying to get a good look at Dawa.
"Is your leg okay?" Taehyung asked, staring at the end of the sacr on Dawa's left leg that peeked out of his pants.
Dawa set the bag down. He let out a smile which left everyone shocked, not sure if this was a good sign or a bad one. Dawa couldn't help but smile at the concern in their voices. The worry oozing out of them. "I'm okay. I didn't get robbed. I gave them to a homeless man." He explained, as he handed out people's favorite chips.
Namjoon just shook his head, Yoongi let out a dry chuckle. Yoongi gave Namjoon a look, one that puzzled Namjoon. It was a look that a mother would give a sick child, a look when a mother lost their child. Scared. Worried. Sad.
'Someday he's going to forget about himself.'
