Three months later,
"Have you met any potential boyfriends." Sarah said as she and Izzy had their nightly conversations.
She was alone in the quad, "Not really..I mean I met someone..I'm just not sure." Izzy said
"Isabella baby you gotta try, I know that Bucky broke your heart honey. But it's okay to put yourself back out there." Sarah said
She looked down, "I know." She said as she heard foot steps.
Chase Nichols sat beside her, "hello." He mouthed
He was who she was just talking about to her mom. "I gotta go mom, when you see Steve this weekend tell him I love him and I'm sorry I won't be there to see him off." She said
"Okay sweetie love you," Sarah said
"Love you." She said and hung up.
"Aw I wanted to talk to mom, maybe she could give me tips on how to get you to say yes." Chase said
She smiled at him, "We can go on a date Chase.." she said
"Yay..I'll pick you up at 630 on Saturday since I don't have a game." He said as he helped her up.
That weekend, Steve Sam and Bucky were being deployed..
"No Izzy?" Bucky said once they were on the jet.
"Mom said she couldn't make it, something about mounds of homework and a football game." Steve said
"Oh..but Brooke could come see me off." Bucky said
"I don't know Buck, that's just what mom said." Steve said
Bucky did his best to hide the hurt look. While Izzy was getting ready to go on her date with Chase. He had her laughing all throughout the date, talking his days of living in Austin Texas. He was two years older than Izzy. They met at the coffee shop at the student lounge.
They had a steamy goodnight kiss in front of her dorm, and as she laid down that night. She thought "Happiness..Florida is happiness."
