Chapter 5
Luna and Marcus walked through the door, Luna had a bit of trouble walking through the door with all the bags around her hands, she was panting hard and out of breath, the house was dark as all the blinds were drawn, as Marcus walked into the room ruby popped round the corner holding her gun and aiming it towards Marcus, he didn’t even flinch but Luna let out a little yelp, Marcus knew if Ruby wanted to shoot him she would have done by now, Ruby ran to Marcus with excitement and hugged him hard, he was caught by surprise as she hugged him tightly, Marcus still had his arms out wondering what he should do, he slowly tightened his grip around her and asked at her “Are you alright Ruby you seem shocked and nerved, which is unlike you?”
Ruby looked up at him with a cold stare that could put any warm heart on ice, Ruby kept her calm and composure, “I heard what had happen at the West fields and I got worried”
Marcus raised a questionable look towards Ruby as he said “Really?”
“Well yes and no, I was worried that I won’t get my turn tonight as well as some blood and no because it ought you how to defend yourself”
Marcus Loosened his grip slightly before saying, “Your as cold as ever, even Luna was worried about me”
Luna managed to squeeze past Both Ruby and Marcus, she dropped her bags by the side of the sofa and sat down very hard, letting out a sigh in relief for being on her feet all day, Luna could see that Marcus was looking at her when he finished say those words and was expecting some kind of support but all Ruby could muster was “Well you are my mate, if you wasn’t then I guess I wouldn’t care that much”
Marcus Loosened grip further to the point that his arms felt dead to him, he face showed a bit of sorrow and a bit of anger, he grabbed Ruby’s arms and pushed her back a little before saying “I need to take a shower alone”
Ruby nodded and let Marcus be on his way, she then sat down next to Luna and the pair of them stared blankly at the TV which was switched off, Ruby opened her mouth but said nothing then Luna said “I’m guessing you don’t have to read his mind to understand how he felt there now did you”
Ruby didn’t even turn her head but still kept a straight face about it “no I didn’t, neither of us really love him, we just use him for sex and in my case some blood”
Luna just nodded in agreement, letting out a sigh with a slight smile on her face “to be the only human he knows who is neither dead nor alive must be hard indeed, I mean he lives in two worlds as a human and a supernatural with a psychic ability”
Ruby glanced at Luna and soon her little smile disappeared, Ruby then said “We shouldn’t have made that pact with him, but he would have been dead otherwise and his powers lost, but what is done is done”
Marcus was in the shower naked, he hand one hand on the wall while the shower was on, this was one of the few time he had on his own, his mind was wondering about all sorts of things who is after me and why? And he often also thought about his parents and then the one that always got to him was why do I feel alone?
To him it was a big question, he was with two beautiful women both skilled and willing to do anything for him, but he still felt empty inside, he put his hand on his chest and felt the scar on his chest, it was that day that changed him for the rest of his life, at first it seemed like a great idea to have two women at his beck and call even during sex, but as days turned into weeks the sex wasn’t out of love, something he misses, love with another human, some like him but he knew he wasn’t human, not anymore.
There was a loud shout followed by the thump of the sofa over turning, Marcus let out another sigh and said to himself “There at it again”
He turned off the shower and grabbed a towel from the railing opposite, he wrapped it round his lower half of his body so that his chest was showing, as he stepped out of the shower the floor was cold, but it didn’t bother him, he stood in the doorway that boarders the bedroom and living room, Ruby was on one side and Luna was in the other, the sofa was flipped on its back and there was smashed glass and potteries on the floor which surrounded Luna and Ruby, Ruby had a vase in her hands and Luna was getting ready to duck, Marcus stepped out saying “What are you two arguing about now?”
Luna turned to face Marcus as well as Ruby, Ruby dropped her vase in shock and awe at the sight of Marcus’s body, she was licking her lips thinking about the pleaser she was getting out him tonight, Marcus just shook his head and picked up a piece of broken glass and said “Let me guess Fashion disagreements am I right?”
They both nodded as Luna asks “how do you know that?”
Marcus through the piece of glass to Luna and all she could say was “Ah, fair point”
“Listen Marcus i want us to go to the night club we go to, it has half price drinks” Ruby said
Luna looked at Ruby with a slight scow asking “Can I come or is 3 a company?”
Ruby looked at Luna and thought about it for a minute or so and then said “yeah why not it will do us all some good, besides since my great Aunt runs the place we get the VIP room to our self’s”
Marcus nodded in agreement then said “Luna you make use some dinner and Ruby you clear this mess up please”
Ruby and Luna nodded and began to about their work, Marcus walked back into the bed room and sat down in the dark, he opened the bedroom blind, it was dark out and the day went quick, he heard his phone go off and went to retrieve it from the one suite bathroom as it was on the side, he answered it “Hello Marcus speaking?”
The voice on the other side of the phone said “Hi Marcus its Captain Skinner, I heard about your little tackle with the assassin from the shopping centre”
“Hi Skinner what can I owe the pleasure of this phone call?”
“Can I be blunt with you Marcus?”
Marcus sighed and said scarcasitly “you can be a blunt as a bit of wood with a nail in it”
“Come now Marcus are you still angry about what happened that night?”
“Cut the chat and tell my why you phoned me?”
“Well Marcus tomorrow I will be sending one of my team members to go through with you what had happened and to keep a eye on you”
“Why would I need someone to keep a eye on me I have...”
“Yes I know Marcus your Guardians but they don’t report back to HQ directly”
“Ah I see another spy to keep a eye on me, first the Vampire Clan, a werewolf Pack in Scotland and now you guys”
“Well I’m afraid it’s a order right I need to get going bye Marcus”
The captain put down the phone and Marcus put his phone down on the side and walked back to his bed, he rubbed his head, just what he needs now, he has the SAS on his back to top things of and somebody is trying to fucking kill him, Marcus put on a pair of pants, socks and black jeans, he walked into the front room, had had finished cleaning up and put the sofa back in its spot, Ruby was watching a viral video show, it was showing people hurting themselves but Ruby had a straight face, Marcus sat next to her and asked her “Are you ok?”
Ruby looked at Marcus with a slight smile, she could read his mind but she didn’t to ask how he felt “So the SAS are sending someone over tomorrow are they?”
“Yeah Ruby, seems they want to keep a eye on me and to talk about what had happened in West fields”
“oh yeah seems like a final decision then, the other thing is how can you humans find this funny?”
Marcus looked at the TV and saw a man jump an gap but failed and landed on the edge smacking his nuts hard, Marcus chuckled a little and said to Ruby “It is because of the fact it’s not happing to the people viewing it but everybody has a different sense of humour”
Ruby wasn’t impressed by what was on, Luna on the other hand walked in with a stir fry chicken, mixed vegetable and rice noodles and wraps, Luna was surprised by the fact that Marcus was topless and almost dropped the food, she gave it to Marcus and Ruby, before Luna walked away Ruby said “Did you add garlic in this?”
Luna shook her head and walked off to get her portion, Ruby Took the fork and took a small bite to make sure, no garlic so both of them carried on eating and making wraps, Luna joined them a minute later, it was quite only the sound of the TV was making any noise, if that was off you hear a pin drop only Ruby asked “would you be joining me and Marcus?”
It took Luna a moment or two to swallow her food before she answered “Sorry guys I won’t be joining you tonight, still tired from shopping”
Ruby nodded, as some time went by they had finished with their food, Luna had collected the plates and Ruby was picking out a dress, Marcus walked in while Luna was naked, all she was wearing was her suspenders, tights, thong and a pair of black high heel shoes, Ruby could read his thoughts and said “Marcus if everybody could read your thoughts they would know the kind of person you are”
Marcus snorted a little and walked up behind Ruby and placed his hands on her shoulders, Ruby smiled “I know what you’re going to do next before you even do it”
Marcus slid his hands down her arms to her hands, then her waste, he whispers into her ear “if you know what I am going to do before I do it then why don’t you stop me”
Ruby felt giddy with excitement, she could feel his warm chest on her back as he moved closer to her, a tingling feeling ran down her spine, she could feel his hands move up her waist round to her breasts as he cup both of them in his hands, she could feel his warm kiss on her neck down to her shoulders, she then moved her hands up so that they coupled together with Marcus’s, he moves from kiss her shoulder back to her neck and nibbling it while he started to pinch and twist her nipples making them perky, Ruby turned round facing Marcus, Ruby placed her hands and arms around Marcus’s neck and placed her lips onto his, his hands once again found its place on her waist while her chest laid flat on his, they stayed together like that like a lovers embrace, to Ruby it seemed like a eternity to Marcus mere seconds.
Marcus let go of Ruby and Ruby stopped kissing Marcus as she smiled and stroked her hand across her chin saying “I’ve been waiting for this day to come”
Marcus just said “I bet you have, come on let’s get going”
Luna picked out a lacy black dress, it clinged to her body every curve and breasts, she wore nothing else, Vampires can’t feel the cold or warmth of any season so they could as much as they want or nothing at all, Marcus on the other hand put on a black shirt and his trench coat on, he held out his arm as a gesture for Ruby to take hold of, they both walked out of the door while Luna was saying goodbye closing the door behind them.
Marcus hailed a cab and said to Ruby “Do me a favour and read this drivers mind”
Ruby, looked at Marcus confused “ok if you want me to”
The black cab pulled up, the driver rolled down the window it was a woman, she had pale complexion but her face was gaunt with long black hair, Marcus gathered she was a vampire the driver just replied “Yeah mate I am a vampire and what of it”
“Sorry it’s just that I had a bad running with a cab driver beforehand”
“Ok fine mate so where you two heading then”
Marcus thought about on purpose so the cab driver could understand The Crimson Club, “ah right I know where that is come on jump in”
Marcus held the door open for Ruby as she stepped in gracefully, Marcus then walked around the other side, open the door stepped in and shut it and they were on their way.
