"Hello" I said as soon as I picked the call.
After hearing other side, my phone just landed on the bed. As tears started to form.
"No it can't be" I just tried to convince myself
"Anni, do you need coffee...." I heard jeevika's voice.
I just looked up at her.
"Anni am asking y..." she stopped as my tears were started to flow my eyes.
"Anni why are you crying" she asked me by sitting beside me.
"Jee... Jeevi.. Jee... That..." I couldn't able to continue as hiccups started.
"Anni anni, first take breath. Then say What happened? " she asked me. I nodded my head as no at her.
"Jeevi.. Jeevi... Reyansh... Got acc.... Accident....." I somehow completed
"Anni, did you dreamt of... What are you saying anni"she asked me. I nodded my head as no vigourously at her.
" No Jeevika, I got a call... F.. From.. Reyansh. But when I attended it is not reyansh... He is someone, he said that he were taking hi.. Him to the hospital.... Re.. Reyansh phone didn't have any lock, so that man just dialed my number as he saved as wife and in.. In... Informed.. Me... He said th.. That they were going to some Healthify Me hosip... Hospital "I just rambled.
My tears were flowing continuously.

With that she grabbed my hand. I just grabbed my purse and phone. Jeevika took ishaan in her arms who is looking confused seeing my teared face.

"Anni, just get into car. I will inform to aunty and come" saying this Jeevika placed ishaan in my lap. I just kept looking at front. My mind just wanted to meet my husband.

After 30 mins of torturous travel we reached the hospital. I just get down along with ishaan in my arms. Then we three moved inside the hospital.
Once we entered there.
"Excuse me, we got a call from random person saying that Police officer AC Reyansh is admitted here because of accident. Can you give us details" Jeevika asked.
"One sec mam" saying this that receptionist, started to type the name in her system I guess

"Yes mam, bike accident with lorry. Hid........" I didn't heard any other details.
He got accident.
He got into an accident.

Jeevika just grabbed me along with her. After 5 mins we reached some area, there one man is standing on the corner.
"Are you an reyansh wife" he aksed me. I just nodded my head at him.
"Mam, have this phone. His operation is going on. I will wait here. As it will be the police case, so I need to give the statement to them" stating this he sat on the side.
"Did you see what happened there" Jeevika asked him.
"Actually yes, the man who I admitted on the hospital, actually came slowly alone. But nowhere a lorry came in high speed and just hitted him. Without even stopping, that driver just drove off. That area is not having much people area. So, atlast I admitted him. "he said.
" Ho... How.. How is he..... When you ad.. Admitted him"i slowly aksed him.
"He was in bad condition. As the lorry hitted the bike in sideways. As a result he got injured in legs and hands. Severe blood loss." he said.
I just sat on the floor and started to cry miserable.
"Why.... Why" I shouted at no one.
"Anni please please be strong anni" She said at me.
"How can I be strong. When the man who tied this thaali over my neck, is now lying on the hospital bed.... I need him Jeevika.... Please ask him to come out, Jeevika" I grabbed her hand and started to ask her as if she is a god.
I looked at the operation theatre, in which the light still shows in Red color only.

The door of the OT opened. I looked hopefully.
An nurse came out. I immediately stood up and gone before her.
"Who is the relative to the patient" she asked us.
"Am" I said at her by going nearer to her.
"Your relation to him" she asked me.
"He is my h.... Husband" I said at her.
"Your husband has a lot of blood loss. We need a blood type of O+ve. Please share with your family and friends and seek for help we need atleast 1 unit for now. We also trying from our side. As our blood bank currently........" I didn't let her to complete.
"Take my blood.... Am.. Am.... O+ve only.. Please... Pleas take mine.... Please" I immediately said at her.
"Okay okay" saying this she asked me to follow her.
She did a test first, then she took my blood. After donating the blood, she gave me a juice. I just get out of the room without taking anything.

Its been 6 hours.
Inbetween that doctor did get a lot of signs. They did said they need to do some operations, as his left leg and right hand got injured. Where is bones were damaged. His head got injured. And also informed that he is in danger.
"Akka, he will be fine" I heard gayu voice. I kept looking at the OT door. My family arrived.
"Ila don't worry da. Mapilai will be fine" appa too tried to convince me..
After 10 mins, the OT lights were offed. I just anxiously gone nearer to the door.
"Do.. Doctor my husband.. How is he?" I asked him.
"Operation is successful. He is out of danger" he said smilingly.
That is when I got my breath.
"Can I see him" I asked doctor.
"No, we will allow you guys to see him after 1 hour." saying this he gone.
My mom is weeping in one side. His parents and sister also present. Jeevika too kept crying.
After hearing this only, my life got backed to me.

Now I actually sitting beside him. The doctors chanted him into normal ward. We did asked for vip ward.
So currently am sitting beside him. I asked everyone to go to home. My parents insisted that they will stay along with me. But doctor strictly said only one visitor is allowed to take care.
So I just opted it. His parents didn't asked for anything.
I asked Jeevika to go to the home. After a lot of persistent she too gone to gone actually.
Now the time is 1 clock in night.
His breathing through the oxygen mask indicating that he is alive.
He is alive.
I just seen him. His head is heavily bandaged. His left leg is fully bandaged. His right hand is bandaged. Even his left hand is having some scratches.
I touched his hand.
I kept looking at his face, which is actually slightly hidden by the bandage.
That girl shilpa actually came to meet him. But doctor didn't allowed at that time, even though they were police. She too cried miserably.
"Is she loving you reyansh" I asked him.
I layed my head beside his left hand.
"Please get well soon Reyansh" I said at him.
I don't know when I slept in between seeing his face.
Reyansh pov :
I felt.. Felt really heavy... Did I drunked or what. But I don't have that habbit.
Ahh then why the fuck my head is pounding like hell.
Ahhhh....
I slightly opened my eyes. But I couldn't able to. After a lot of tries, I atlast opened.
"Ahh" moaning of pain leaves my mouth.
My eyes first landed on the figure which is sleeping beside my hand. Why and who is that....
That figure turned their head towards mine, only to confirm that.... She is my wife. Why she is sleeping like this.
Ahhh.
Its paining.
I looked at my right only to find the room is not looking familiar at all. Where am I.
I tried to move my right hand, b... But it is too paining, what why... That is when everything crushing into me.
I got into an accident.
God.
"Ahh" again I moaned.
"What happened" an voice came at my left side. I turned my head at left side only to see a worrying face of my wife.
"Is it paining so much. Let me call the doctor first" saying this, she runned out of the room.
After 5 mins, she came with doctor.

After Doctor checkup, right now we both were left alone in the room.
"Time? " I asked her.
"7'O clock in the morning" she replied to me.
I tried to nod my head at her. But it is paining.
"Don't strain yourself" she immediately said.
"O. Okay" I slowly said at her.
"How are you feeling now" she asked me. She looks like cried for many days. But why did she cry.
'Is it because for me' I thought.
"Fi.. Fine" I slowly said at her.
"Wat.... Water" I asked her, as I felt thirsty.
She came with a glass of water, and slowly made me to drink. Once I dranked, she wiped my mouth with her saree pallu.
After that nurse came and sedated me. Just like that I too slept.

Now the time is 11'O clock, Jeevika came along with ishaan at 8'O clock itself. She asked me to go to home and come back after taking rest. But I said no. She tried to convince me. But I didn't.
Here he is in this condition, then how can I leave him just like that. No way.
I just take bath, and changed into another saree. I feel damn tired.
"Anni, take rest." Jeevika again started.
But I just ignored her and gone beside him.
"Anni atleast have breakfast" she said at me.
"Mmmm" I hummed at her. I don't have mood to eat actually.
"Anni, anna is fine." she said. But, I know he is not fine it will pain to him.
It will pain like hell to him.
'Why you care this much to him' my mind asked me.
'He is my husband.' I shouted back to it.
'But you both were not loving each other right. Then why' it again asked me.
'We both may not love each other. But that doesn't mean am not cares about him. He still date, not even once he mocked me. Not even once he raised his hand. Nor even once he leaves me.' I replied.
After sometime, he opened his eyes again.
"Do you need anything" I asked him. Jeevika too started to cry again after seeing his situation.
"N... No" he said slowly.
The door opened, we three looked only to find it is my parents and gayu.
"Mama how are you now" she asked him.
"F.. Fi.. Fine" he somehow said.
"Please don't strain yourself" I advised him. He blinked his eyes at me.

Now its an night time, am the only one who is present beside him. Sometimes male nurse will come to help him. Doctor advised me to give only the liquid items.
Right now am preparing the sweet lime juice for him. I kept squeezing the fruit.
After preparing the juice, I gone before him. He is actually sitting on the bed like slightly lying only.
I cleared my throat to indicate that am calling him.
"Juice" I said as soon as he turned towards me.
He blinked his eyes, I slightly placed my hand over his shoulder and placed the glass over his lips. He started to sip the juice slowly.
After made him to sip the juice entirely, I opened the soup, which Jeevika prepared from home.
Like yesterday I asked everyone to go to home.
The door of his ward got opened only to reveal some police officers.
I looked at all, one man who I remember present in our marriage then that shilpa girl. And some other whom I don't know.
"Hello Mrs. Reyansh" that man who I know said met. But I don't know really him.
I awkwardly stood in place. As this Mrs. Reyansh tag something stirred in me.
Am his wife.
"Hi" I awkwardly replied.
"Hi reyansh" he said at my husband. He nodded his head slowly.
I kept the soup on the table.
"How are you sir? " Shilpa asked him.
I just glared her in my mind.
'she is just asking about his health' my mind tried convince me. But it didn't sit well with me.
"H.. Hi" he said.
"Don't strain yourself" I slightly shouted at him. Okay, it's really really I don't like him replying to her.
"Do as your wife says reyansh." that man said and laughed.
"Sir... Sitt.. Sit do.. Down please" reyansh asked that man.
"It's okay Reyansh. Get well soon. Take care. Did you think, that this accident is really a accident or Any motive behind this" that man asked him.
"Am... N.. No... No.. Not s.. Sue.." he tried to speak.
"Sir, don't strain yourself. Please we will look into that once you get well" shilpa immediately intervened at him by grabbing his shoulder.
What the actual fuck is happening here.
"Okay Reyansh we will meet you soon in your station, in fit and fine" saying this his higher officer I guess, moved out Along with everyone. Only problem is that, still shilpa is having her palm over my husband shoulder.
I cleared my throat to wake her up from her spill.
She looked at my side and smirked at me. For what.
Childish of her.
"Take care sir" saying this she again touched his bare shoulder.
He nodded his head.
"Bye sir. Get well soon" saying this she slowly walked out of the room. Once she gone out. I just moved towards the door and locked it.
That girl.
I moved towards him and took out the hospital sheet and covered his upper naked body. I don't want anyone to seee him.
He confusedly looked at me, as if I will answer him. But all I did is covering him and silently sat beside him in the chair.
He kept seeing me, but I just ignore him.
Reyansh pov:
What happened to her.
Why she is covering me.
Uff. After sometime she gave me the tablets.
I tried to lie back. But couldnt able to. Ahh, when I will be free from this bandages.
"Let me help you" saying this she grabbed my shoulder and made me to lie.
"Sleep" she ordered. Tablets were working I guess because I did closed my eyes immediately.
Time skipped :
Its been 5 days in the hospital environment. It really sucks.
I turned to my right, only to find my wife is taking out the dinner which is prepared by Jeevika.
Am wondering why this girl is taking care of me like a small child. When I didn't treated her like my wife.
I sighed.
She didn't gone to home in these five days. I kept seeing her. All she doing is, doing her work properly.
I did miss my job. It would be better. I need to check in this case. That driver.... And coming to ishaan he cried for first two days, then he started to play with my bandages.
She came beside me and she kept the plate in the table. Then she helped me in sitting properly. She even placed the pillow for my back.
She showed her hand before my mouth with idly piece. Yes doctor allowed me to intake solid items from today morning.
I kept mum. As I don't have any appetite.
Am not hungry.
She cleared her throat. But I just kept mum. I just turned my head
"Open your mouth" she slowly said at me.
"Am not hungry" I replied at her.
" You have to eat "
" But am not being hungry "
" Just open your mouth"
" I won't"
"Stop being child. You are not ishaan. You have to intake tablets which you heed to take only after having food."
"But... But...."she didn't let me complete. Because she just stuffed my mouth with idly.
" Chew it properly"
She being very strict now a days.
"Chew it properly" she again said. I noded my head at her.
She kept feeding me, until am having the whole 4 idlies.
Then she made me to drink the water and wiped my mouth with her hand.
"Do you need anything" she asked me. I nodded my head as no at her.
At morning:
Doctor came and gave us green signal to discharge by evening as I persisted them from two days back. Doctor did advised a lot, and then gave food charts everything which needs to be taken care by her. The whole day gone by doing the discharge papers and payments by my wife.
Atlast getting out of the hospital jail.
I sighed.
