Adelaide's POV
"Why are we here?"
Nik dragged me through the school corridors barley allowing my feet to touch the floor. He and Rebekah had been quiet the whole ride, not bothering to explain to me what was happening. I huffed in annoyance as Nik continued dragging me through the halls ignoring my previous question. Just as we turn the corner Elena walks in through the double doors
"There's my girl" Nik says
Elena turns around and tries to run but he flashes in front of her
"You we're supposed to be dead. What are we gonna do about that?"
Nik grabs Elena's arm dragging her through the corridor with me trailing behind
"You've put a rather large kink in my plans sweetheart. The whole point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more hybrids. I haven't been able to do that. Now my bet is it has something to do with the fact that your still breathing"
"If your gonna kill me just do it" Elena said
"So John sacrificed his life for what exactly?" I ask
"Not until I know I'm right. But I do have ways of making you suffer" Nik says while throwing Elena into the gym
"Attention seniors you have officially been busted. Prank night is over. Head on home" Nik says with an American accent
Oh my Gosh. I completely forgot it was prank night. I was completely fine with missing all the social outings seeing as I hate almost everyone here but prank night was the one thing I reallyyy wanted to do. I even preordered snakes for this. I had 5 I was gonna let loose and now I can't even use them. Not to mention I'm not even going to be able to collect the snakes so now not only have I missed my opportunity, I waisted money. Granted it wasn't mine but still that's money waisted
"You two I remember you" Nik says going back to his British accent
"I'm sorry who are you?" The girl speaks up
"Don't worry I wasn't in my right head last time we met."
"Lift your foot up please, Dana. If she drops her foot, Chad I want you to beat her to death. Understood?" Nik compels them
"Her name is Dana? I've been calling her Daniella this whole time and no one told me I was wrong!?"
"Don't Klaus. You don't have to hurt anybody" Elena says
"Come on love. Of course I do" Nik replies

"Where's Stefan. What did you do to him?" Elena asks
"Stefan's on a time-out" Nik says as Bonnie and Matt walk into the gym
"Bonnie get out off here!" Elena shouts
Great, because the best way to get someone out of a room without notifying someone who's in the room that they're there is by screaming their name so everyone can hear
"I was wondering when you'd show up. Now we can get started. Chad, Dana, why don't you relax? You and Chad sit tight. I assume you're the reason Elena's still alive" Nik says
"That's right. If you wanna blame someone, blame me" Bonnie says
"There's no need for blame. Your witchy interference caused some undesirable side effects and since you caused the problems I'm gonna have you find the fix" Nik says
Rebekah drags Tyler in by his arms shushing him as Tyler thrashes around in her grip struggling to get free
"I'd like you all to meet my sister. Rebekah. Word of warning she can be quite mean"
"Don't be an ass"
"Leave him alone" Elena says
"I'm gonna make this very simple. Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid they die during the transition . It's quite horrible actually. I need you to find a way to save my hybrids Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake you'd better hurry" Nik says snapping Tyler's neck after shoving his blood covered wrist in his mouth

"So this is the latest doppelgänger. The original was much prettier" Rebekah says circling Elena like prey
"Enough, Rebekah. Take the wolf-boy elsewhere would you" Nik says
Rebekah grabs Tyler's arm and drags him out of the gym
"Just ignore her. Petty little thing" Klaus says
"What's wrong with you? You seem quiet. Not that I'm not enjoying it. This new found silence is........refreshing" Klaus says
"Then why are you interrupting it?" I reply
"I can see the anger radiating off you" Nik says with a smirk, I roll my eyes and ignore him
I could be doing anything right now but no I'm sitting in a gym with people I don't like so that some mad man can finally make hybrids. And on top of all of that he isn't even making this enjoyable, he's ignoring me to taunt Elena and he's not even trying to kill the right human, Charlie should be the one to go
"What no smart comeback? No sassy reply?
Who's soured your mood?" Nik asked with a hint of humour
"His name starts with Ni and ends with klaus. Need anymore hints?" I spit with annoyance
Nik comes to join me on the benches while Elena comforts Dana and we all sit in silence. After a while Stefan walks in through the door and Elena immediately stands up
"Stefan" Elena says
"Klaus" Stefan says ignoring Elena
"Come to save your damsel, mate"
"I came to ask for forgiveness and pledge my loyalty" Stefan says
"Well, you broke that pledge once already"
"Elena means nothing to me anymore and whatever you ask of me I will do"
"Fair enough" Nik says jumping off the bleachers
"Let's drink on it. Kill them. What are you waiting for? Kill them"
"No Stefan don't. He's not gonna hurt me. He already said-"
Elena didn't even get to finish her sentence before she was sent flying through the air
I know I'm not supposed to laugh but the way she was spinning had me giggling. Elena should remember that slap the next time she wants to open her mouth in a room full of murderers, seriously this girl never learns. The same thing happened to Rose and yet she still speaks when she's kidnapped. You don't have freedom when your held hostage let alone freedom of speech
Stefan vamp speeds to Nik but before he could do anything Nik grabbed him by the throat
"She means nothing to you? Your lies just keep pulling up" Nik says
"Let her go. I'll do whatever you want. You have my word" Stefan says
"Your word doesn't mean much. I lived by your world all summer during which time I never had to resort to this" Nik starts to compel Stefan while Stefan pleads to keep his freedom still struggling in Nik's hold
"All I wanted was your allegiance now I'm gonna have to take it. You will do exactly as I say when I say it. You will not run. You will not hide. You will simply just obey. Now kill them rippah" Nik says while gesturing to Daniella and Charlie
Stefan attacks Daniella first draining her of every drop of blood before ripping through Charlie
"It's always nice to see a vampire in it's true element. The species has become suck a broody lot"
"No you did this to him"
"I invited him to the party live. He's the one dancing on the table"
"Where is it?" Rebekah asks bursting in through the doors
"What are you talking about?" Nik asks
"She has my necklace. Look." Rebekah says handing him the phone
"Well well more lies"
"Where is it?" Rebekah asks
"I don't have it anymore" Elena replies
"Your lying!" Rebekah shouts then latches onto Elena and drinks from her neck, after a few seconds Nik grabs her and pulls her off
"Knock it off!" Nik shouts
"Wow twice in one night" I mumble
"Make her tell me where it is Nik" Rebekah whines
"Where's the necklace, sweetheart? Be honest"
"I'm telling the truth. Katherine stole it" Elena says her hand weakly covering the wound on her neck
"You could've just said that before" I say but immediately shut up when Stefan gives me a look
"Katerina. If course. We'll that's unfortunate. If we had the necklace it'd make things easier for your witch. Since we're doing it the hard way let's put a clock in it shall we. Twenty minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then I want you to feed again only this time I want you to feed on Elena. No one leaves. If she tries to run fracture her spine"
"Come on love" he beckons me

Rebekah's gone to watch over Tyler while me and Nik are on our way to check on Bonnie
"What do you think it's going to be?"
Silence
"You're still ignoring me? I mean if this works out your friend lives and Elena dies it's a win for both of us"
Silence
"Come one love. Use that brain of yours I'd hate for poor Tyler to have to die"
"I don't know"
"Of course you do. You've known for awhile, you've known that it wouldn't work from the beginning yet you haven't said a thing"
I look up at him confusion evident on all my features
"Oh don't look at me like that. You knew it wasn't going to work all along which explains why you were so annoyed at the mountain."
"I was on my period"
"There's a timer Adelaide what are your friends going to think of you, if you knew how to fix it all along"
"I refuse to be guilt tripped by a walking corpse"
"That's not that answer I was looking for"
"Well that's the answer you've got"
"You're very stubborn"
"No I just don't like you"
" You didn't hate me so much in that hotel room"
"Elena's blood"
"Hm?"
"Elena's blood is the cure not the problem"

"So the doppelgänger isn't the problem her blood is the solution" Rebekah says
"Seems so" Nik says
"How did you know?"
"The smart little goddess over there. It makes sense if you think about it from her perspective it was her fail-safe in case I ever broke the hybrid curse. The doppelgänger had to die in order for me to become a hybrid but If she was dead"
"Then you couldn't use her blood to sire yourself a new species" Rebekah finishes for him
"Leaving me alone for all time"
"Is that what this is about? Your obsession with hybrids. You just don't want to be alone?"
"What I want is to take my goddess take Elena and my hybrid and get the hell out of this one-pony town. Why don't you get the truck? I'll get Elena"
Rebekah hops off the car and goes to get the car when Damon shows up
"Look who finally decided to show up" Nik says
"Where is she?" Damon asks
"Mari was held hostage for the whole of summer because of you but sure let's worry about Elena" I say
"She's making a donation to a greater cause" Klaus says ignoring my comment
"Addy come here"
"Woof" I mock and start walking towards him before Nik grabs my wrist and yanks me back. They stare each other down until Nik pins Damon on the hood of a car
"I made a pledge to your brother that I wouldn't kill you, though thinking about it now he probably doesn't care that much anymore"
"Don't you wanna know about your friend Mikael?" Damon blurts out
"What do you know about Mikael
"Just that he know that you're here"
"Your bluffing"
"Katherine and I found him. Consider it our leverage"
