"Cya another time, Raine!" Eda said as her old friend and their son walked to their car.
Hunter exchanged a small smile with Luz before getting into the car, and the two drove off.
Luz sighed with relief. "Well! I'd call today a complete success! You hooked up with your crush and Hunter's a changed man!"
Eda laughed before she blushed a tad. "Are you saying I have a crush, kiddo?"
"Yes. Yes, I am." Luz said before smirking. "As you would say 'Take it from a gal who's had multiple of these things'."
Eda laughed again, ruffling Luz's hair. "Well, maybe like you, I'll end up with them again!"
Luz then gasped. "That reminds me! I better get ready!"
"Ready?" Eda asked, tilting her head as Luz began running up the stairs, and then back down again. Wash, rinse, repeat. "Ready for what?"
"I have a date! Duh!" Luz smiled as she found the suit she wore to Grom. "Should I wear a dress this time...? Or maybe that otter onesie?"
Eda was a bit confused at the last part before remembering Luz and Amity were actually dating now. She smiled. "Alright. Have fun, but don't be out too late. And don't do anything I wouldn't do! You're 17 and have a girlfriend, that means you could-"
"Do...what?" Luz asked as she began walking up the stairs.
Eda blinked before thinking and realizing. 'Oh, yeah...no one ever gave her...the talk. Well, crud. Now I have to do it.'
"N-Nothing. Just go have fun at date."
"Horray! Horray for date!" Luz exclaimed as she ran up the stairs.
Amity hummed a small tune, having dressed in a very similar dress that she wore to Grom. It was her nicest outfit after all, and she thought it would be nostalgic.
She then looked at her phone as she began walking towards the street, but then heard a small woosh sound from behind her. Amity smirked and turned around. "Well, well, well."
Luz was in her witch attire, hanging upside down from her staff. She smiled. "How's my cotton candy haired goddess?"
Amity giggled and pulled down Luz's mask, kissing her for a few seconds. "Wonderful. How's my silly little otter?"
Luz laughed before she flipped herself around and transformed back. "Good! As always." She said as she spun around her finger, and an illusion spell was cast on her ears, making them look round instead of pointy.
"Great!" Amity smiled as they began walking down the street and into town. "So, taking me to a restaurant again?"
"Yeah! I thought I could be fancy once in a while." Luz said with a shrug, holding her girlfriend's hand.
"Awwww!" Amity laughed. "Hopefully no monster attacks though."
"Hey, I got rid of all of them!" Luz said with a smirk as they walked inside the restaurant that had a standard name. And when they walked inside, just some standard classic music played while everyone talked softly or just enjoyed the food.
The waitress caught notice of them and walked over. "Alright, I'll be here leading you towards your seat, so follow me!"
Luz and Amity nodded before following the waitress, finding their table and sitting down.
"Okay, just so I don't mess up." Luz laughed as they were handed menus. "I brought money to pay."
Amity smirked a bit. "Wow, such a gentlewoman."
"Why thank you, m'lady~" Luz said with a smile and a nod. "Whatcha gonna order?"
"I actually don't know." Amity said with a shrug as she grabbed her menu and opened it up. "I usually just pick something random."
"Not too picky, huh?" Luz asked as she too opened up her menu.
"You of all people should know." Amity laughed.
Luz gave an amused smirk. "Are you trying to say that you chose me because you weren't too picky?"
"Nah, I'm just a LUZbian." Amity said.
Luz snorted, even though she had made that joke before. "Well, I'm Amisexual."
"Amise-" Amity then went silent before laughing. "You're kidding."
"Nope! Not one bit." Luz laughed. "If you'd like to know the definition of Amisexual, it means I only have attraction to the lovely lady sitting right across from me."
"Awwww!" Amity said, placing a hand on her chest before she noticing something. Some kind of strange blue glow coming from outside.
Luz noticed it too, and so did the other customers. Then? There was a giant leg. Her eyes widened. "...that's not good."
"And here I thought we were gonna have a normal date." Amity said before there was a loud rumble. She stood and faced and Luz. "Need any help, love?"
"Nah, just wait here." Luz said, kissing Amity amongst the chaos and panic of the other customers and employees before she snuck her way into the restroom and then transformed.
The Witch then summoned her staff and took a deep breath. "Teleportation, don't fail me now."
She then slammed her staff against the floor and in a golden flash, she teleported outside. "Hey! It worked!"
Then? She came face to face with the glowing blue light and the monster. She smirked and spun around her staff.
"This is for ruining date night!"
Luz exclaimed as she zoomed over and blasted the creature with light.
The creature roared...but the light just went through it.
Luz tilted her head. "Say, whaaaaat?"
The creature then roared and breathed out a blast of blue fire.
Luz quickly dodged the giant blast, getting on her staff and flying through the air. She then spun around her finger and shot out vines from the ground to hold the creature down.
But that's when the vines just went through the creature again, and the creature started flying through the air, chasing Luz.
Luz gasped and quickly started flying higher into the city. "What is this thing!? It's some kind of ghost!"
She then spun around and blasted her own fire towards the creature.
But the fire once again, went through the creature and it tried to bite at Luz, who quickly dodged.
"How do I stop a ghost!?" Luz exclaimed before she made a pillar of ice below and landed on it.
The creature roared and roared, trying to swipe its claws at Luz, which once again, The Witch dodged.
"Wait a second!" Luz realized before suddenly standing still, but her eyes were closed tightly.
The creature roared loudly as it raised its claws and slashed at Luz...but its hand went through her.
Luz smirked and then opened her eyes. "Oh, of course! You're not even real!!! You're not a ghost! You're an illusion!"
The creature just growled and roared into Luz's face...before suddenly, a giant fist made of purple clay went through its body. Then? The creature flickered and flickered before it went away.
Luz became a little shocked before she burned the ice pillar below her and landed onto the ground. "That was an Abomination! But...how-"
"One word! Glyph!" A familiar voice said. Luz turned around and then gasped after seeing Amity, holding some kind of new glyph.
Amity smiled and walked over. "I did a bit of experimenting and found a new glyph."
"I love you so much right now." Luz whispered. "That's BRILLIANT! I didn't even think to look at other spells I made and see if they made symbols!"
"Well! They did!" Amity laughed before seeing everyone, even the employees start cheering after the monster was gone.
Luz laughed. "I better get going before they see me. Meet you down there, and then? Date night can continue. I don't think it can be a restaurant though..."
Amity smiled and kissed Luz's nose. "It's alright. I have fun whenever I'm with you, no matter what we're doing."
Luz smiled before she got on her staff and flew out of town.
Amity smiled and began speed walking before she made it back to where she met Luz at the beginning of the night, and then saw her superhero girlfriend waiting. With another smile, she got on her staff, wrapping her arms around Luz's waist.
Luz smiled before they flew off, but not going too high above the ground. Although...she was curious. Who made that illusion?
But as they flew off into the night...a figure on a rooftop watched, a white cloak blowing in the wind, and a silver mask being illuminated in the moonlight.
