(Y/N's POV)
It is really early in the morning heading down to the community pool to do my daily morning swimming. It's a little cold but nothing to worry about, I just got to do some stretches and I'm good to go. I got to the pool's main gate, got out my keycard and got inside, and began to get ready to swim. It was nice to come here when the sun hasn't risen yet, it's peaceful and best of all...no people to judge you at all so I can do whatever I want here and how long I want. Sounds like a good plan for me, well I got done with my stretches and...
Y/N- Ok. 3...2...1...G0!
*SPLASH!*
I dived all the way to the bottom of the pool and swam back up, I got the initial chills but it quickly went away and once it did, I swam and swam like no one's business.
Y/N's mind- Ahhh~ Such peace and quiet, perfect for my days off.
I kept going for about a good while now before I decided to challenge myself to see how long I can hold my breath underwater. I took a huge breath and dived under and mentally did the timer to begin. It was so beautiful seeing the pool like this, it helps that I brought my goggles this time so I don't have to damage my eyes, man the pain sucks so much.
Y/N's mind- 30 seconds.
30 seconds so far. Not much but let's continue on. I closed my eyes and pretended to be a fish in the ocean, like in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. But then...
*Muffled sounds*
I opened my eyes and I heard something from above, I debated in my head to see what it is or continue like nothing, I couldn't make a decision on what to do but just I was about to make one...
*Muffled speaking*
I heard more sounds coming from above and it was someone talking, quickly I swam back up to see who is it, after making it back I looked up to see who it was and...it was a lifeguard looking at me.
"Hey. What are you doing Ma'am?"
She was a young girl too, wonder if she's on duty soon?
Y/N- Uh..yeah? Can I do something?
"Oh no, not at all. I was just wondering what you were doing underwater? Doing some kind of personal challenge or something?
Damn, she got that part right.
Y/N- Your right on the challenging part and I was only a minute long.
We stared for a minute and it was awkward as hell, so I had to say something to break that mood off.
Y/N- So...are you on duty or what?
"Oh yes, yes I am. My name is Rose, pleased to meet you here ma'am."
Y/N- I'm Y/N L/N, nice to meet you too.
Rose- Yeah, this is gonna be an early one for me from now on, so maybe we are gonna see each other more often.
Y/N- Most likely, since I do come here every morning to do my daily swimming.
Rose- I see, are you professional or something?
Y/N- Me in the pros, yeah right. Nah, I just do it for fun, a nice way to start my day before I head to work in the afternoons.
Rose- It sure is a nice way to start I'll give you that. Say, do you wanna perhaps want a cold drink? I got some in my bag.
Y/N- Really? Well, ok then sure I'll take one, thanks Rose.
She smiled and went to get her bag and pulled out a coke cheery.
Rose- Here you go Y/N.
Y/N- Oh yes! Coke cheery is one of my all-time favorite flavors of coke.
Rose- Huh? Well, now I know which one to get next time then.~
I ignored that part and only focused on the cool sweet taste of Coke cherry.
Y/N- Ahhh~
The rest of my time here was talking to Rose and she seems like a cheery and happy-go-lucky kind of gal so it was quite easy to get to know one another well.
Y/N's mind- Now I got a new reason to keep coming back here every day.
(Timeskip)
It was around 9 am and the pool began to fill up with people which meant it was time for me to go, take a shower, relax till 2 pm when I go to work. I got out of the pool, went to the showers there for a quick rinse, then went to grab my stuff but just when I got to the front gate.
Rose- Y/N wait!
I turned around to see Rose walking up to me.
Y/N- Yeah?
Rose- It was nice talking to you and such and is it true? Your gonna keep...coming back here?
Y/N- Yes I am. Plus I want to continue our conversations too.
Rose- O-oh ok, is that a promise?
Y/N- Yes.
Rose- Ok then, well...have a good day Y/N and...see you tomorrow morning.~
Rose walked back to her humming in a very happy tone, I shrugged it and left the pool, got on my car, and drove back home to start my day.
Y/N's mind- This morning sure was different than all the other mornings. I kinda like it.

As the last few weeks passed by, Y/N went to the same pool every morning just like she said with Rose always happy to see her. They talk about their lives, both professionally and personally, and many more topics. Around the same time, Rose began to associate Y/N as her friend and a very good one at that. But there were some feelings inside of her that she can't seem to stop feeling in her heart and those were jealousy, anger, and fear. This begins when Y/N mentions other people's names that she seems to smile about, Rose feels like she needs only one friend in this world and that's her and...her alone. Well, those feelings would come to play when Y/N brings a pal from her work to join her this morning. What will Rose do?
(Y/N's POV)
I was walking to the pool gates with my friend Paul who wanted to join me this morning and thought that he could meet Rose so I said yes and here we are.
Paul- So, what's this Rose girl like?
Y/N- Well, she's very funny, chatty, and very nice that she always stocks up with cherry cokes.
Paul- Nice, can't wait to meet her.
Y/N- You said it, dude.
We made it inside the gate and could hear Roses's footsteps coming and when she did, she looked at Paula and something a little strange happened, her smile dropped and her eyes were not colorful anymore.
Rose- ...Y/N? Who is he?
Y/N- Uh, Rose this is paul, one of my co-workers that I told you about last week.
Paul- Nice to meet you, Rose.
He went to shake her hand but Rose only looked at it and didn't return the gesture back, she just looked at him with some dark-looking glares. This is getting very odd and this never happened ever till now.
Y/N- Well then Rose, we are just gonna...get to swimming..yeah.
She looked at me and smiled...
Rose- No problem Y/N, have some...'Fun' with him.
Rose walked to her stand without saying another word to us and we were pretty crept about it but tried to forget about it by splashing one another with water and soon a water fight approached. Pretty soon, I forgot about all about earlier but still...
Y/N's mind- I wonder why Rose was like that today? Did something happen?
(Rose's POV)
Look at them...having fun without me and worst of all, it was one of those pitiful friends Y/N mentioned to me. When I saw this "Paul" guy come in with Y/N, it took so much of my strength to not lash out at him and show him what happens when anyone gets too close to my friend Y/N.
Rose's mind- I need to find out where this Paul lives so I can..."talk to him" about this.
I got out of my stand and luckily for me this time, the two were too busy having fun to notice me gone.
Rose- But that will only be for today, tomorrow I won't be ignored by Y/N again.
I went to the locker rooms where Paul's bag was and after searching around, I found the right one, looted his wallet, and looked at his driver's license to take a photo of it so I can look up his address and "take care" of him there. I quickly put everything back to the way it was and exited the locker rooms where thank god there were underwater doing that challenge, It reminded me how I met Y/N and that made me want Paul dead even more.
Rose's mind- But that's gonna be tonight when he will be gone for good, it's already making my body tingle in excitement.~
I sat back down on my stand and pretended I was here the whole time. Throughout the time left, I looked at Y/N with admiration and looked at Paul with disgust. But Paul won't live long anymore after today so...enjoy it while you can Paul.~
(Timeskip)
It was 11 pm at night and I was in front of his house, I checked google maps just in case this was the right one and sure enough it was. I checked to see if I had my weapon ready for the kill and I picked a weapon that fits my job.
Let's just say Paul is gonna be left "hanging" when he's dead.~
Rose- Show time Rose...for Y/N.~
I got out of my car and snuck inside of his backyard so I can cause noise to make him open the door. I found some small rocks and threw them at the sliding glass doors. Soon, I saw his upstairs light go on and saw his shadow heading this way.
Rose- Perfect.
I got closer to the door still hiding till he opens it. He opened the door and I sneakily entered his home and now waited for the right moment to do it. He closed the door and went upstairs but when he was about to take that final step up.
Rose- Knock Knock.~
Paul- Wha-?
Before he turned his head, I wrapped the rope around his neck and pulled it very far to choke him. He was fighting back but he was so weak that it was embarrassing.
Paul- *Choking*
Rose- Poor poor paul.~ You made a huge mistake of being friends with my Y/N, but don't worry Paul...
Paul- *Chocking*
Rose- I'll be a much better one for her so you have no needs for her so..now die.
*Snap!*
I killed that son of a bitch and now had to hide the body in the basement of this house so no one will find it quickly. I went down there and hid it behind a tool cabinet where it won't be noticed by anyone until the smell of his corpse. My work was now done and no one will know it was me cause I was wearing my black gloves. After I made sure everything was done, I smiled and left the house before anyone becomes aware. I hid the rope and began to drive off but not before I took one last look at the house.
Rose- Rest in peace, you friend stealer motherfucker.
I drove to my house going to get ready to see Y/N again and hopefully she doesn't bring anyone else, well...
Rose's mind- I'm just gonna have to kill them too.~
