"Buongiorno Bambina," Carina said as she peered up from her laptop where she was sat at the table when Maddie walked into the kitchen with her eyes still half asleep. Maddie had never been much of a morning person at all. "Oh, you don't look awake at all." she chuckled.

"Morning Carina," Maddie yawned as she sinks down onto the couch and let out another yawn.

"Do you want anything for breakfast? I don't have to get ready for work until later, so I don't mind making you something," Carina asked. Maddie shook her head slightly.

"I'll have coffee if that's an option," Maddie tried her luck with the brunette.

"Nice try Bambina," Carina chuckled.

"Oh come on... I won't tell my mom if you don't," Maddie said cheekily. Carina shook her head. "Why is it that only Andrew lets me have it?" Maddie asked.

"Because my stupid little brother feels like he is obliged to give you it even when both of us tell him not to because he has labelled himself as the 'fun Zio' so he thinks he can get away with it," Carina said using air quotations.

"God, I miss seeing Andrew... I miss seeing everyone," Maddie said with a sigh. Carina nodded and she felt bad for the teenager because she was pretty close with her brother.

"I know you do. Things are still pretty strict at the hospital Bambina, people aren't allowed to just come and go like they were before, but maybe when it's all settled down, you can see him then?" Carina offered.

"Yeah, I would like that. I can always call him in the meantime." Maddie said.

"I think that is a great idea, it would probably cheer him up," Carina mentioned.

"Oh, why what's happened?" Maddie asked concerned.

"Dr Grey... Meredith, you remember her, don't you?" Carina asked. Maddie nodded, she was briefly aware of who she was since Andrew always talked about her.

"Yeah, Zio dated her at one point didn't he? He told me about it, he still likes her doesn't he?" Maddie wondered.

"I don't know about that Bambina but she caught Covid and is in a coma now," Carina explained.

"Oh no, that's awful, so Zio is waiting for her to wake up?" Maddie asked. Carina nodded to the teenager.

"Si, he is desperate for her to pull through and wake up," Carina told the blonde girl.

"Oh no... that's terrible. I hope that she wakes up soon." Maddie said. "I'll try to call him now and see if he answers," Maddie said as she unlocked her phone and face timed her beloved Zio.

"Hey, kid!" Andrew's face popped up on the screen of her iPhone. "What are you up to?" He wondered.

"Not much. I have just woke up so I'm hanging out with Carina," Maddie panned the phone around to show Carina sat at the table looking at her laptop. Carina waved as she sipped her espresso. "You alright, Zio? I heard about Meredith... I'm sorry," Maddie said with a sigh.

"I'm doing okay kid and Meredith is... well she's still in a coma," Andrew told her as she frowned. "I guess that I am just keeping my hopes up that she wakes up soon," He added trying to sound hopeful.

"She will wake up soon Zio," Maddie said with a small smile. Maddie hadn't got to meet Meredith yet, but Andrew has told the teenager all about her and how talented that she was. "I miss you," Maddie told him. Andrew smiled at the blonde teenager.

"I miss you to kid but it won't be long until we see each other in person again," Andrew said. "So, how is your girlfriend?" He wondered.

"Well, actually... we haven't spoken since the other day. We got into an argument, I have tried to get in touch with her, but no luck. I don't know what's happened," Maddie explained. Andrew frowned.

"Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that kid," Andrew said. "I hope that you hear from her soon and hopefully you make up," He added.

"I hope so too," Maddie said. Andrew groaned as he looked directly at his phone. "What's up?" She asked.

"I have just been paged. Ah, I am gonna have to go but I will call you soon, alright?" Andrew said. Maddie nodded.

"Of course. Speak to you soon, Zio!" Maddie said.

"Stay safe kid, love you!" Andrew said as he ended the call. Maddie sighed as she flopped back down onto the couch.

"You still haven't spoken to Sarah?" Carina asked shocked, overhearing the conversation that the teenager had with her younger brother. "Did you two get into a fight or something?" she asked.

"Something like that, we got into a big of an argument but I didn't think that she would be giving me the silent treatment for several days," Maddie said with a pout.

"I'm sure whatever it is there is a reason why she hasn't messaged you," Carina said smiling at her softly. "Your mom won't be back for a while yet. Is there anything you want to do until she is back?" she asked.

"Not that I can think of anything. I just wish that Sarah would text me," Maddie said as she grabbed her phone out of her pocket and frowned when she saw there weren't any new messages.

"I know. It's hard Bambina but you will hear of her soon so maybe just give her time." Carina said smiling at her softly.

Maya had just arrived back at the barn after a three-alarm fire with the rest of the team, she hopped out of the truck as Jack chanted 19, and they all responded with enthusiasm and chatted amongst themselves until Maya blew the whistle.

"Oh, God, the whistle's back," Travis said.

"Okay, guys, listen up! This team's response time and cohesion is not what it needs to be. Stay in your turnouts. We will be doing drills for the next three hours." Maya started to say. The team all groaned in response as Maya couldn't help but smirk.

"Okay. Captain Bishop's got jokes now." Andy said as she caught her best friend's expression.

"Listen. We can't go to the bar like we usually do after three alarms, so our place this afternoon." Maya said as she looked at Andy who agreed.

"Yes!" Travis said.

"Yeah!" Dean said.

"19!" Maya cheered out loud.

"19!" The rest of the team chanted back in response. Maya turned the corner to head towards her office as she spotted Ben sat on the side of the truck as he was just getting off the phone.

"Warren, you okay?" Maya asked.

"Uh, yeah," Ben said with a sigh. "My mother-in-law... She, um... she's gone." He said sadly.

"Oh, no. I'm so sorry. COVID?" Maya asked with sympathy.

"Yeah. She, um... I just dropped her at Grey-Sloan yesterday. I... thought she had more time." Ben said upset.

"Is there anything I can do?" Maya wondered.

"I-I got to get home," Ben said with a sigh. "Um, Miranda wants me to tell the kids. Um..." Ben said.

"Okay, go," Maya said.

"Yeah, I will. I just need to stow my turnouts..." Ben started to say but Maya cut him off.

"Warren, it's covered. Whatever it is, it's covered. Go." Maya insisted.

"Thanks, Cap," Ben said. Maya nodded as Ben walked off.

"Hey, we're home!" Maya called out as she and Andy walked into the apartment. Carina was still getting ready for work and Maddie was sat on the couch staring at her phone like usual.

"And we're having a party!" Andy added brightly. Maddie looked up at the two adults and frowned.

"Oh, hey guys," Maddie replied as she looked up from her phone for a minor split second.

"Oh, why the sad face, squirt?" Andy asked.

"Yeah, what's the matter, kiddo? You don't sound too happy." Maya pointed out.

"I still haven't heard off Sarah. I think that I really messed up," Maddie groaned as she threw her phone onto the couch next to her. "She isn't even reading my messages," she added.

"I am sure that you will hear of her soon," Andy said as she moved over to the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water out.

"That's what Carina said," Maddie mumbled.

"What happened anyway?" Maya asked. Maddie thought it was better to not tell her the whole truth, it would only start another argument.

"Ah, I just said some stuff that was pretty hurtful," Maddie said. Maya nodded in understanding.

"Don't worry Mads, OK? Give it time and she will speak to you," Maya said reassuringly, squeezing her daughter's shoulder gently.

"I hope so," Maddie said with a sigh. "So, what is this talk about a party?" she asked.

"Well it's not a party, it's just the team getting together to have some drinks since we can't go to the bar," Andy explained from where she was stood in the kitchen.

"Sounds awesome! I can't wait to see everyone," Maddie said with a smile, she really did love spending time with them all.

"Can't wait to see who?" Carina asked as she walked out of the bedroom. Maya walked over to kiss her girlfriend.

"Oh the team's coming around so we can celebrate the three-alarm fire," Maya explained.

"Ah yes I understand. That sounds good," Carina said as she picked her purse and coat up, "Well, I wish I could stay but I have to leave for work now," Carina said as she kissed her girlfriend on the lips again. "I hope that you have fun with everyone," she said.

"Thanks, beautiful," Maya said as she returned the kiss. "I'll see you when you finish," she added.

"Bye Carina!" Andy waved from the kitchen.

"Bye, Andy," Carina said kindly and moved to walk over to the teenager still slumped on the couch in a mood. "Bye Bambina. See you later on."

"Bye Carina," Maddie waved. Carina sent them all another wave before she left the apartment to head to work.

"So, is Sullivan coming?" Maya wondered as she walked over to the table as Andy was grabbing alcohol out of the refrigerator.

"I think so, yeah." Andy said, catching the look on the blonde's face as she walked back over to the fridge and scanned through it, "Oh! Someone's got an opinion!" She added. Maddie couldn't help but laugh seeing the look on her mothers face.

"I'm not...I'm not saying anything," Maya said. Andy and Maddie laughed. They both knew her too well.

"Mom, your face is pretty easy to read," Maddie said.

"It is not," Maya said offended.

"Maya, you think you have a poker face but your face is playing Twister," Andy said in amusement as she lined the beers up on the table. Maya smiled as she shut the refrigerator.

"Okay. Fine." Maya said as Andy laughed. "You guys separated for a reason. You seemed to think it was a good reason." Maya said.

"Oh! Maya 'Monogamy is for the Weak' Bishop lives with her girlfriend for a few weeks, and suddenly, she's a relationship expert." Andy said. Maddie couldn't help but smirk as she heard the older brunette say that.

"Okay, got it. I said nothing." Maya said as she walked over to the cupboards and scanned through them, having no luck at finding any type of snacks.

"Look, you're the one who invited the team over to day drink. Robert is on the team. And we're big kids. We can make our own rules about our own marriage." Andy insisted.

"You were right. I'm not a relationship expert. I'll shut up. We have no snacks. We can't have a party without snacks." Maya said as she scanned through the cupboards but couldn't find any type of snacks that were acceptable.

"You're right. I am on it. I'm on it, Mamacita!" Andy said as she grabbed her coat and keys to leave the apartment.

"Thank you!" Maya said as she laughed. "Hey, Mads. Do you fancy a trip out the grocery store with Andy?" Maya asked.

"Nah. I am happy here." Maddie insisted.

"You sure? You might enjoy being outside, you look pretty pale squirt." Andy chuckled.

"I'm perfectly fine thanks. Hey, I'm not that pale!" Maddie said playfully glaring at the older woman.

"Alright, no worries. Suit yourself," Andy said as she chuckled. "Bye!" she called out as she left the apartment.

Maddie continue to lay on the couch and constantly check her phone every couple of seconds, she thought it was so strange that Sarah hadn't texted her at all while Maya gathered some pitiful snacks to put on the table until Andy got back with the rest. There was a brief knock at the door.

"That'll be the guys. Can you let me them in please, Mads?" Maya called over from the kitchen.

"Alright." Maddie sighed as she got up from the couch and made her way to the front door to reveal Dean and Travis. "Hey, guys. Come in," She said.

"Ay. Yo, Mads!" Travis walked into the apartment and ruffled the top of her hair which annoyed her.

"Hi squirt," Dean said. Maddie scowled at him and crossed her arms since she was still upset about yesterday, "Oh come on... you're not still upset with me over yesterday are you?" He asked.

"What do you think," Maddie replied, scowling at him once again as she shut the door after the three of them walked in.

"Oh come on you know that I didn't mean it, you know what I think about Sullivan..." Dean tried to justify. Maddie didn't say anything but walk away from him to avoid saying anything further that could get her into trouble.

"Alright. Uh, how about a peace offering?" Dean wondered, gesturing to the teddy bear in his arms.

"Dude, I'm thirteen, I don't want no teddy bear," Maddie said as she walked into the kitchen with them both.

"Hey guys," Maya greeted them both. "Miller. Why is my daughter so upset with you?" Maya asked overhearing the conversation, not knowing what happened between them.

"He was being an ass," Maddie said as she rolled her eyes.

"Maddie," Maya said disapprovingly.

"No, she's right Cap. I was being an ass about Sullivan yesterday." Dean said. Maya nodded in understanding and they got onto the topic of Travis telling his dad that he knew he was gay.

"Wait, wait, so, you just said it?" Dean asked. "Just like that? 'Dad, I know you're gay.'" Dean said.

"No. I added a Bible quote." Travis chuckled.

"Seriously?" Maya asked. Dean moved to put the teddy bear he was carrying down at the table while Travis opened a bottle of beer.

"Yeah, I won the Youth Bible Trivia competition three years running. I have a verse for every occasion." Travis told them.

"God! I just wish I could do that." Dean said.

"Quote the Bible or tell your dad you know he's gay?" Travis asked confused.

"Neither. I wish I could just... Just say to my parents what needs to be said, you know?" Dean said as Maya brought some bowls over to the table.

"Same." Maya agreed.

"Pickles and old pistachios. You shouldn't have." Travis said looking down at the pitiful snacks that were on the table.

"I think they kind of suck," Maddie said from her seat on the couch. Maya smiled at them as she walked back into the kitchen.

"Mm. Andy went to get more." Maya told the firefighters.

"Are we not good enough for the meat and cheeses?" Dean said as he caught them hanging up.

"Oh, I really wouldn't touch that, Dean if I was you," Maddie smirked.

"Don't touch that. Carina will kill me, and then you really will be doing drills." Maya told him as she opened the bottle of soda and it sprayed everywhere, soaking her top that she had recently changed into.

"Ohhhh!" Travis said as he stifled a laugh, Maddie didn't hold it in and was cracking up with laughter while her mother looks unimpressed. "Great work. I'm proud of it." He said as he shook Dean's hand who looked so proud of himself.

"Wow! You shook the soda." Maya said as she put it down on the table, "What are you? 9?!" she asked agrivated.

"What? We got jokes, too, Cap!" Travis said.

"Did you not have fun at 9?" Dean asked wearily while Maya walked off to get changed.

"Good one, Dean. That was funny to watch. I will forgive you," Maddie said as she leaned over to high-five with the older man who she looked at like an Uncle. Maya paused walking as she looked at her daughter unimpressed, "Uh, I didn't tell him to do it," she said as she couldn't help but laugh again as she heard the front door open, "Oh look, auntie Vic's here!" she announced, hoping to change the subject.

"Oh! We doing the wet T-shirt contest again? Sweet." Vic said amused when she walked in to find Maya in a drenched T-shirt. Maya couldn't help but smile as she backed into her bedroom.

"Your teammates think they're funny," Maya said as the firefighters and Maddie both chuckled. Vic smirked and continued to walk into the open planned kitchen while Maya went to get changed.

"They're congealed," Vic said as she placed the perogies on the table. "Sorry." She said.

"Oh, yummy!" Travis said. Vic spotted the teddy bear in Dean's arms.

"Oh, cute date, Miller. What's her name?" Vic asked amused.

"Oh, you... you two. You two get to name her." Dean said as he practically shoved the bear towards them both.

"Why?" Vic asked.

"Cause, this is your housewarming gift. You're welcome." Said.

"Oh! Thank you. "You are un-bear-ably beautiful," Travis said and then Vic continued to read the rest.

"Love, Baba Agba and Iya Agba. This is a gift for Pru, and you can't give this away." Vic said.

"He already tried to pass that off to me as a peace offering," Maddie smirked.

"Uh, it is not a gift. That's a Trojan horse." Dean said.

"It is a sweet, cuddly olive branch. Your parents are trying to reconcile with you." Travis tried to justify.

"They cut me off completely. Now they're trying to worm their way back in my life with stuffed animals. Unh-unh. I don't trust it." Dean said.

"Dude, you're a grown man with a job. Can you stop saying your parents cut you off, please?" Vic said while Travis and Dean looked at her in shock.

"Wow," Dean said.

"Wow," Travis repeated.

Oh, well, okay, what? Are we not being honest with each other anymore or... " Vic was cut off by them hearing a woman start to yell outside.

"Help me! Help me, please! What? Help? Help me! Help me! Somebody, please! Help me!" The woman was yelling as they all ran out to her. Maddie was quick to grab her phone in case her mom rang her to worry about where she was.

"Ma'am. Ma'am. What is it?" Dean asked as they ran outside to her.

"What happened?" Vic asked.

"What happened?" Travis asked.

"My baby! My daughter! The man in that house took her!" The women said they looked over to the window as a man who was looking out of it.

"What the actual hell," Maddie mumbled confused looking at the adults.

"Look, I knocked on the door. He slammed it in my face. He's a big man, so I need backup." The woman said as she charged towards the door. The firefighters and Maddie all followed her up the drive as Vic tried to stop her.

"Okay, okay, ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, what is your name? What's your name?" Vic asked.

"My name is Joyce. My daughter is Jada." The woman, Joyce, introduced herself.

"Okay," Vic said. Joyce turned to look at Dean and Travis.

"I need the men, too. Are you gonna help me or not?!" Joyce asked, clearly upset as she headed towards the door again.

"We should call it in," Travis said..

"We will help you," Maddie said. Travis shook his head and turned to look at the teenager.

"You're not getting involved, kid. You need to go back home. Your mom won't like you being out here," Travis told Maddie who had followed them outside.

"Then she can ground me for it when I'm home... I'm staying out here with you guys. I want to help!" Maddie insisted.

"Maddie, I don't think that's a good idea," Vic said, backing Travis up. Maddie shook her head again.

"I don't care," Maddie simply said with a shrug of her shoulders.

The firefighters all shared a glance and knew there wasn't any point in arguing at all. Maddie listened in on the conversation where the woman, Joyce, was telling Vic, Dean and Travis that she knocked on the door but the man slammed it in her face so she needs back-up.

"Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, we want to help, but first, can you start by telling us what happened?" Dean asked.

"What happened is my daughter is in that house! I need to get her out, and I need your help!" Joyce continued to shout

"Alright, Joyce, please! Please, please. We are firefighters, okay? We can help, but we need to get more information." Vic added in as Joyce got upset still.

"Jada is 13 years old. Okay. Her and her friend Shanice... They had a sleepover last night. And when I woke up, they weren't in their beds this morning. Now, I tried calling her, but she didn't answer. And her, um... Her fitness thing, her... The bracelet... It has a tracker in it, and it says that she's in here." Joyce did her best to explain.

"Alright, what about her phone? Where is her phone?" Travis asked.

"No, I traced the phone about an hour ago to some address down by the water. Now I'm getting nothing!" Joyce said agitatedly.

"So her phone might have died, alright?" Vic said.

"Or somebody might have thrown it in the damn ocean!" Joyce snapped.

"Alright, alright," Vic said as she tried to calm the women down.

"Alright, so we call the police. We'll call the police" Travis said.

"Uh-huh." Vic agreed.

"No, I called the police! And they said they'd send a car over to my house, and they never showed up. So I went to the station and filed a report, but they said it could take days to get a warrant. I had to come down here myself. There have been three Black girls who have gone missing from my neighbourhood in this last year, and the police have done nothing! Police don't care about Black girls!" Joyce said as she got more upset.

"We do. We do. We got you, and we're staying right here with you." Dean said.

"I don't need you to stay here! I need you to knock down the damn door!" Joyce demanded.

"Okay, Joyce, have you called Shanice's mom?  Where is she?" Vic asked.

"I can't... I don't know. I can't reach her." Joyce told them all.

"Okay, is there a chance that she's with her?" Travis asked cautiously. Joyce shook her head.

"No, her fitness thing... The tracker is..." Joyce said.

"Right, I know, but is there a chance that she lost that?" Travis continued to ask.

"Joyce, Joyce, we're gonna try Shanice's mom again, okay? And then we're gonna call their friends. We're gonna call all of them and ask them to check social media. Alright? Girls keep a lot of secrets at that age." Vic told Joyce.

"No, t... t..." Joyce started.

"Joyce. Joyce, Joyce. It's gonna be alright. We're gathering information. And if we have to knock that door down, I promise you I will do it my-damn-self. I give you my word, okay? We're just gathering information." Dean said in an attempt to reassure her, "Joyce..." Dean said.

"Okay," Joyce agreed.

"Alright," Vic said.

"Okay," Travis repeated.

"If you want to go back in..." Vic turned to tell Travis, "Maddie, you know you should probably head back in as well, no need for you to be out here." She said.

"No. I'm right here with you." Travis said with a sigh.

"Nah, I'm staying put out here, I'm not going anywhere" Maddie insisted.

"No point arguing with the kid. She's pretty stubborn and all," Travis said with a sigh. Vic nodded. "Come on kid, let's go wait over here," Travis said.

"Dean, come on," Vic said as she motioned for him to move away from the house.

Maddie isn't sure what to do and tries to help while Travis leaves to go check his car for masks as they wait for Joyce to finish her calls.

"What can I do to help?" Maddie wondered as she helped Travis look for masks in his car, she could see that Joyce was panicked and just wanted to help.

"I don't think there is much that you can do, Maddie... I mean this is something for PD to deal with," Travis told her. "We can't just barge into the man's home without reason," He said.

"But what if they're in there? Surely, there has to be something that we can do!" Maddie insisted. Travis smiled at the encouragement that the teenager had, she had the ambition and he admired her for that.

"Look kid, you don't need to do anything other than just sit right here and wait for us to sort something out, alright? You don't need to be pulling no hero moves, got it?" Travis said, he wasn't daft and he knew the teenager would more likely run into the house if she had the given chance.

"But Travis-" Maddie started.

"No but's kid. You need to stay over here, out of the way... can you do that for me? I know you want to help but I and everyone else will much appreciate it if you don't do anything that could put your life at risk if you know what I mean kid." Travis said gently. Maddie sighed and nodded.

"I got you, Travis," Maddie said. Travis found a medical bag in his trunk that had masks in and handed one to Maddie.

"This really sucks. What if the girls are in there? What happens then?" Maddie asked from her spot on the hood of Travis's car.

"I don't know kid, I really don't know. We just have to wait for PD to turn up and hope they do something," Travis said.

"But they could literally be forever, the cops are so useless!" Maddie said infuriated. All of a sudden Joyce went over to the door of the man as Dean and Vic all ran over with her. Joyce started to bang on the door where she suspected her daughter was.

"Thanks, kid. I need to go give these masks to Vic and Dean, remember, stay here, alright?" He repeated.

"Got it." Maddie agreed as she huffed and swung her legs back and forth while she kept out of the way like she was told, but she couldn't help but feel that she should be doing something more.

Maddie watched from the hood of Travis's car as the situation got more intense as she saw Dean was getting wound up and Vic was trying to talk him down, while the woman paced back and forth on the phone.

"Jada!" Joyce shouted.

"Hello! Open up! Open up!" Dean said, banging on the door.

"Jada!" Joyce continued to yell.

Hello! Hello!" Dean continued to bang on the door.

"Whoa, whoa! What the hell?!" The man said as he opened the door.

"Where is my daughter?!" Joyce asked getting straight to the point.

"We have reason to believe that there are two teenage girls somewhere in or around this house," Dean said wound up.

"My daughter is here. I traced her to this location!" The woman, Joyce, shouted in the man's face.

"Your tracking is as wrong as you are." The large man fired back. Joyce tried to force her way inside, "Hey! Get out of my doorway!" He continued to yell.

"Joyce!" Vic said in a panic.

Joyce!" Travis said, pulling her away.

"Sir, if you wouldn't mind us just taking a quick look around your property..." Dean said.

"Keep her away from my door." The man interuppted.

"Sir, we're with the Seattle Fire Department, so if you..." Dean started.

"Yeah? Where's your truck? Where are your uniforms?" He interrupted.

"We are off duty, sir, but I assure you..." Vic said but the man cut her off.

"So I'm supposed to let you people just walk into my house because you say you're firefighters? Get the hell out of here before I call the police!" The man threatened as he slammed the door shut while Joyce continued to shout her daughters' name.

"Hello?" Maya asked as she walked out of her bedroom and looked around to find nobody, "Ew," she commented as she looked under food that was covered, "Is anyone here? I swear to God if you jump out at me..." Maya said out loud, she was alarmed by the yelling so she quickly grabbed her keys and left the apartment, she guessed that her daughter would be with the team.

Maya rang Maddie's phone and hoped that she would pick up as she walked across the road towards the noise.

"Mom! Mom! You need to come outside, come quick!" Maddie spoke on the phone.

"Woah, Mads. Calm down, where are you? I thought you were at home but nobody's here." Maya said confused.

"Yeah I know, we're outside. Come quick, they need help!" Maddie exclaimed.

"What, who needs help?" Maya asked.

"You'll see when you get here, just come quick!" Maddie said and ended the phone call without another word.

"Damn it," Maya muttered as she came into view of two women and her team stood outside as one of the women was clearly upset about something.

"For the love of God, do something! Get our girls!" Maya heard a woman shout as ran over to them. At the same time, Jack was also running over to them as well.

"What is going on here?" Maya asked walking over to them all and out the corner of her eye, spotted Maddie sat on the hood of Travis's car.

"I'd like to introduce our captain and lieutenant," Travis said, motioning over to Maya and Jack.

"We need to get in that house," Another woman told Maya.

"These ladies think their daughters are in that house." Dean explained. - Dean

"Against their will?" Maya asked.

"Yes," Joyce said.

"We do not have confirmation on that quite yet," Vic said.

"Have we called the cops?" Jack asked.

"They did, and we're way past that." Dean insisted.

"Okay, Miller, we're not on duty," Maya told him as Dean continued to get wound up.

"Okay. I think I smell a gas leak." Dean declared.

Oh, damn." Travis commented as Dean forced his way over to the house as all of them tried to stop him.

"We have to call it in, Miller. We will call the police, and they will come." Maya insisted.

"If the man in that house took our daughters, what do you think he's doing to them while we stand out here and talk?" Joyce asked worriedly. Maya frowned and looked over at her daughter, she knew that if it was Maddie in that situation she would have kicked the door down, but they had to go about this professionally.

"What are you waiting for mom, do something!" Maddie insisted as she ran over to them all.

"It's not as simple as that Maddie. I can't just kick down the door and bust my way inside. We have to wait for PD," Maya said with a sigh, hoping that she was making the right decision.
