"My name is Azuna Yaoyorozu and I need to talk to you, boy". Delsin looked up at the man with confusion. He heard the Azuna part but the last part was still mute for him as his ears were still ringing from the flash bang. "What?" was what he said. Azuna looked at the SWAT team with a nod and suddenly, Delsin a bag put over his head and was dragged out the room. Delsin, with all the strength he had at the moment, was fighting back and screaming in the halls to let go of him.
"WHAT THE HELL?! HEY! HEY! LET ME GO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! YOU CAN'T DO THIS! THIS IS ILLEGAL, I HAVE RIGHTS!". "Yeah well, my rights overwhelm yours so let's get to the station, Takashi-san, will you". It was then that Delsin felt a strong blow to the back of his head, which was enough to knock him out as his body went limp, allowing the officers to carry him easier. The officers took him all the way to the ground floor where they shoved the kid in the SWAT van and took him down to the station in a private room, where only Azuna and a unconscious Delsin were.
An officer came into the room with some donuts and some water bottles. Azuna took them and ushered the man to leave, whi h he did, again, leaving him with a sleeping Delsin. Yaoyorozu grabbed the water and splashed it in the kids face, waking him up. "Hey! Wake up! It's time to talk!". Delsin spurred awake with fright. He then glared at the man with anger. "What the hell?! Where am I?! Where did you take me?!". "Calm down-". "Calm down?! YOU KIDNAPPED ME!". Azuna waved his hands in the air with a frown. "Kidnapped?! That's a big word. I'd say we.......borrowed you without your permission". Delsin banged his fists on the table, now noticing the quirk suppressing handcuffs were chained to the table.
"Let me go! NOW!". "HAHAHA! kid, who are you to demand anything from me? I'm a wee bit older than you, ya know". Delsin glared at him and then glanced around the room. He was in a tight spot. His kidnapper was smart enough to place these on him so he can't use force to break away. The room was dark with just the little ceiling light hanging over the table that lit the room, though it was pretty dim. If Delsin didn't know any better, he'd say he was being interrogated. With what though, he had no clue. His life was rather boring since he started U.A, he hasn't been doing any crimes like graffiti but even then, he doubts something as petty as graffiti gets him in here.
This is where you go when you're involved in something like murder, rape, armed robbery, etc and he didn't do anything of the sort. If he did, then John totally took his body for a joyride without his knowledge of the situation but even then, he should have some recollection of the event. Glancing around, he noticed there was no way out of this besides playing ball with this guy, for now at least. He had nothing to hide anyway. "So you work with the police? Some sort of detective or something?". "No, I'm a hero. These cops are under my agency" the man said.
Delsin looked at him with a frown. "You? You're a hero? Buddy, heroes don't barge into a high school student's apartment with no source if evidence or warrant and take them out their apartment before knocking them out! Just what type of hero are you?!". Azuna glared at Delsin, which kind of unnerved the teen. "The kind who is just trying to fix his daughter's broken heart, that's what kind of hero I am!". Delsun frowned in confusion. What crack was this guy even on? "What?! What do I have to do with your daughter?! I don't know her! I don't even know you!".
"I told you! My name is Azuna Yaoyorozu! There, now you know me!". Delsin widened his eyes in shock. "Yaoyorozu!? Oh come the fuck on! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! YOU'RE MOMO'S DAD?!". "Yes, I am. And you're the one she's been crying over recently. Heh, she could've done worse". Delsin sighed. "She did do worse". Azuna frowned at him but didn't respond. "Alright, so you're Momo's dad but instead of....I don't know....knocking on my door like a regular civilian, you chose to bring your co workers to hunt me down like a villain and bring me to the station to question me? You probably spooked my neighbors into thinking they live with a criminal! I could be evicted!".
Azuna laughed. "Oh that! Hahaha! Sorry, I guess I just don't do things so subtle and in my defense, I was a little on edge. My baby is heartbroken and I needed to move on the operation". "Operation?". "OPERATION REPAIR YAOMOMO'S HEART!" Azuna shouted hysterically. Delsin sighed. Momo's dad was..... very eccentric. "So, you got me here, by crazy means by the way but you got me here. What do you want?". Before Azuna can asked, Delsin stop him. "Wait?! The flashbangs. How did you set them....it was Kyoka wasnt it?". Azuna laughed as he created a flashbang in his hand. "You see, I have the same quirk as Momo-chan but she has a better version of the quirk. I can only make one thing at a time while she can make more simultaneously. She has a quick and sharp mind. She'll make a great hero one day".
Delsin nodded his head at that fact. He can at least acknowledge the girl's talents. She was was smart, very smart, shockingly smart. It was probably one of the little reasons why he got so ticked off when she choose Todoroki over him. Her observations skills were so sharp that it trumped his with laser focus on yet when it comes to him, she throws logic to the side and ignores everything. "So you had Kyoka come to my apartment and plant these things and have you guys just break into my apartment and kidnapped me?". "Borrow you and yes! We did!".
"Why did Kyoka agree to this?!". "Because I told her this will benefit Momo-chan in the long run. That we can get her happy again!". "And pray tell, how do you plan on doing that?". "By having you talk to her, that's what" Azuna said with a straight face. Delsin looked at his abductor in a shocked looked. He couldn't be serious. "What?! I swear, you rich people have some different brand of crack that is so potent, its toxic! You kidnap me to force me to talk to your daughter?!". "Yes, because you're what she wants right now. Dammit kid, you think I want to do this to you?!".
"Yes because you're fucking unstable! You rich people always are unstable!". "Hey! I take offense to that, I'm normal as hell! As I said before, I was just desperate to fix things. She's my one and only child, she's my daughter and she's locking herself in her room, refusing to eat anything but ice cream because you won't talk to her and fix things so I feel as if this is the best way to get the ball moving. I dug into you in school, asked around, talked to a bit of your friends and teachers and found you to be quite the stubborn boy".
Delsin frowned hard. Was he even allowed to do that?! Jesus what is with this school. Does it only take a person with deep, deep pockets to get to do whatever they want? If so, Delsin is looking for the nearest bank to rob. This hero life sucks! As he stared at Azuna, the man began to look deeper into his eyes, trying to read him almost. "You're a stubborn person who only goes things his way and if it isn't your way then it's no way. Though you are a decent student with a good amount of friends, you're more of a lonesome person. You're a straight B student academic wise but in terms hero training, my god, you're probably one of U.A's best students in a long while. Shit, you are damn near on par with Togata-San and you're just a first year!".
"Well what can I say, I'm gifted" Rowe said with a small smile. Azuna looked at him but didn't respond to the comment and continued on his findings. "So I did a but more digging on the you. Found more about the incident with my daughter at the USJ....where you saved her". Delsin frowned. He didn't like where this was going though. Azuna, while he is able to access his daughter's files, shouldn't be able to access his own unless it was serious police investigations. If he was able to get all of this, what more could he get? His medical information? His quirk information? If he was determined enough, he could blow the lid on his biggest secret and he did NOT need that happening. "Yeah? What about it?"
"From the reports, it says here that you saved her from rape....you beat those villains to near death for harming her and you healed her youself-". "Alright! You did your research! Get to the point! What do you want?!". "I told you, to fix my daughter. And the way to do that is you". Delsin frowned. "What would you have me do?". Azuna said nothing before he pulled out a piece of paper and a pen and began writing something on it. He pushed the paper in front of Delsin, allowing the cuffed teen to read it. His eyes popped out of his socket. "HOLY SHIT, THATS A LOT OF ZEROES!" he said. "Yep, and all of that can be yours if you play your role". "My role?" Rowe asked confused.
"You date my daughter. Be her boyfriend". Delsin's eyes widened even wider. He was being bought off like some prostitute, like some gigolo. These past few days, his pride was being hit with each and every person that came his way. Did he have some sort of scent on him that attracted odd people to him or something? Because he thought he was a upstanding person in the world of people yet, here he was, in a police station, being paid nearly 7 figures to be some girls boyfriend, like a slut of a street or something. "Huh?". "You heard me. I'll pay you, in full, to be my daughter's boyfriend. You take her out, show her a good time, do the full nine, without the intercourse of course. She's still my daughter-".
"ARE YOU PEOPLE OFF YOUR MEDS?!" Delsin yelled in his face. "What? Is something wrong?". "Is something wrong?! Gee, where do I start?! Instead of talking it out and being normal people, you would actually rather pay me to be your daughter's boyfriend and make her feel happy, in some sort of illusion relationship or something?! Is that how rich people work?! Instead of helping your daughter through the emotions of life, you would rather shelter her from it with money and lies?! Jesus!". Azuna glared hard as he slammed his hand on the table. "Don't you dare judge me! You don't know what it means to take care of a child! If you had the means to help out your child in anyway shape or form, wouldn't you do it?". "Not like this, you controlling bastard!" Rowe shouted in his face.
Azuna moved to shout again but Delsin spoke up, interrupting him. "I understand wanting to protect someone, believe me. But not like this. You don't want to shelter them from real life and the consequences of their actions, believe me. Just because you're rich and can do whatever you want, doesn't mean that you always should. I'm not doing this because it'll only harm her more in the long run. When she finds out the base of this 'relationship' is about money, not love, heh, if you think she's suffering now, wait till she finds out because they will always find out and it will tear her heart out". Azuna frowned as he sat back in the chair.
"Then what the hell do I do?!". "Be her father, you jackass!" Azuna frowned as he looked at Delsin. "I don't understand-". "You don't know how much I envy her, you know". Azuna was confused now. What was he talking about? "Envy who?". "Momo. I envy her a little. I mean, yeah she's rich and all, that's a cool perk but if there was anything that I could trade in this lifetime, hell, quirk and all, is to have my family back". Azuna widened his eyes as he saw a sad smile in the kid's face. From the files that he read, Delsin was adopted by his aunt who lives in Seattle at the moment. She adopted him because his entire family was killed in a car accident, living him all alone.
If the woman hadn't taken him in, he'd be in foster care right now actually. "She has a mother and a father, an overprotective and controlling father but a father nonetheless who just wants better for his daughter. God only knows what the mother is like, hehehe!" He laughed a bit. "I may not remember my father much, since I was very young when he died but I do know from watching my aunt play the mother and father role for me that a father must protect his children from any type of harm that comes to them but also, nurture them so that they can grow stronger when that pain sneaks it's way past the father's protection. Pain sucks and the world is ugly but parents can also help their children see the light and happiness in the world too!".
"You make it sound like it's so easy, you weren't there when Momo was balling! CRYING IN SADNESS!". "That's what heartbreak is, Azuna. Everybody deals with it. How do you think I felt when I found out she was with Shoto when I was waiting for her? I lashed out, said mean things cause I was in pain. I was dealing with heartbreak". The elder Yaoyorozu sighed. "Just like Kyoko and Enji Todoroki, that son of a bitch!". "What?". "Nothing, it's not important!". Delsin sighed, he'll pretend like he didn't hear that and move on. Azuna sighed as he released the cuffs off of Delsin. "Okay.....I'm....I'm not gonna pressure you into this...I'm just gonna deal with this when I get home.....as a father should".
Delsin rubbed his wrists as the cuffs were finally off. 'Finally! Fuck, can that guy bitch!'. 'Nice to hear from you too, John'. Delsin sighed as he walked up to Azuna and took his hand. "Come on, we have unfinished business". "Huh? What?". "You're taking me to your house. I'm gonna talk to Momo. Jesus, I feel like I should be the Yaoyorozu's personal therapist or something. Is your wife like this too?". Azuna widened his eyes in shock of Rowe's answer. He thought the kid was just going to go home, hell, maybe even call the police and file a kidnapping charge and restraining order for all the Yaoyorozu family members but here he was, willing to go back with him and talk to his daughter.
He was also surprised by the strength this kid had. He pretty much yanked him out of the chair with such ease. Azuna chuckled as he and Delsin walked out the room. "Hehehe, kind of, she's a worrywart and a bit of a sadistic woman if I do say so myself. I had to calm her down from burning the Todoroki establishment down herself with a molotov". Delsin widened his eyes. "She is a gangster, is she by any chance related to any Yakuza gangs?". "Sometimes, I wonder myself". As Azuna followed Rowe outside to the personal driver he had outside, he smiled at the kid's back. 'Momo, dear, you picked a fine young man to fall for. I can see the appeal'.
"Oh, by the way, the way you were throwing me money back there, you better throw that to my neighbors to keep them from getting me evicted you know! It's not a good look to have SWAT dragging me out of an apartment. They might think on some drug lord or something" Delsin said while Azuna laughed. "Right, I'll get on that, don't worry". The two got in the car and the driver took them straight to Yaoyorozu manor. On the way there, John asked. 'So, million dollar question, are you going to get with her or what?'. 'Get with her? You mean Momo? That's something that should stay between me and her, at least until I talk to her, if you don't mind'
'What? You don't want to tell me?! Your wingman! Your bro! Come on, Delsin!'. 'Sorry, wingman, it's a secret till.i talk to her. Until then, stay under please'. 'You're being very secretive with me these last few days, kid.....Delsin.....are you....cheating on me with another entity?!'. 'Bye, John'. With that, he shut him off and just in time before they arrived to the manor. Azuna got out the car while Delsin thanked the driver. As he got out the car now, Azuna was already making his way to the steps of the house and Delsin followed him loosely. Azuna opened the door with Rowe behind him when instantly, Kyoko flew down the stairs like a dog waiting to see her owner.
Kyoko pounced on her husband, hugging him tight. "Azuna! Jeez, where have you been, you've been gone for two straight days! I thought I had to go looking for you! Who's this?". Azuna smiled before he turned to Delsin, who shifted under her gaze. "Kyoko-chan, this is Delsin Rowe-". "YOU'VE COME TO SAVE MY BABY?!". Kyoko took a full look at the boy, up and down before giving Azuna a look. "Oh, he's handsome, he can give that Todoroki kid a run for his money. The face is cute but it's the body structure for me! So chiseled! Ha, oh dear you have me sweating like a teenage girl again! Hehehehe!". Delsin blushed while Azuna shouted. "K-K-Kyoko!". "Oh, I'm just messing around.....maybe".
Before Azuna could explode with jealousy over his wife, Delsin coughed in his hand to get their attention. "Hello, Mrs Yaoyorozu. Is Momo in?". Kyoko smiled lightly. "Yes, she is. Come, we'll take you-". "Kaa-San, is Tou-San home now-". The voice stopped as the Creation girl saw her crush at the door of her house, standing alongside her parents. Momo had come downstairs in her pajamas, a little better than she was a few days ago. Sure, she was still pretty moody but she at least stopped crying. Though, she found it quite odd that her father wasn't home for two days. Not that it was unusual since he is a hero, he can work cases up till weeks without coming home but normally he would inform them if anything.
But this time he didn't snd when he came home, she was gonna ask where he was but what she didn't expect was to see her reason for being so depressed standing at her front door. "D-D-Delsin-kun?". "H-Hey Momo" he said trying to sound calm and cool but it came out awkwardly. Momo began fiddling with her hair, almost as if she was trying to straighten it out. "Oh um...hey, um..how have you been? I mean before the...you know Um...." Momo asked but just trailed off as she brought up the incident by accident. Delsin slightly smiled. "I've been well. Listen, Momo, we need to talk". The girl widened her eyes as her heart began to pound out of her chest.
"Um....oh...okay...well let's head to the living area". Delsin nodded and followed her to the area. Kyoko moved to follow but Azuna stopped her. "Let them be". "But Azuna-". "If anything happens, we're right here. Come, let's go get some tea from the kitchen". Azuna led his wife in the opposite direction of the living room, where the kitchen was. 'Take care of my daughter, Rowe-San'. With the two teens, Delsin sat on a arm chair while Momo sat on the couch across from him. They were rather close since the armchair was position directly in front of the couch, so in Delsin's mind, this must be where Azuna sat in front of his family, he was sitting in the Yaoyorozu family's patriarch chair.
It was also during this time where he took a good look at Momo the past week and with just one look, he felt bad for treating her like this. She looked like hell. "S-So, what did you wish to talk about, Delsin-kun?". "I came to apologize, Momo". "Huh?" She said in confusion. Shouldn't she be the one apologizing? "I came her to apologize to you Momo. I said some real nasty stuff to you. Stuff that wasn't fair-". "No, Delsin! I'm sorry! For what I said, for how I treated you! You didn't deserve any of that! You saved me and I treated you like that didn't matter, like you didn't matter. But you mean so much to me.....so, so much" Yaoyorozu countered, her eyes welling up with tears.
Delsin smiled at her. He reached over to her and grabbed her hands and when he did, she held it tight while staring at him with only love in her eyes and if Jiro wasn't mistaken with what she told him earlier, that love was aimed directly at him. "You mean a lot to me too, Momo. That's why I came to talk to you about this, so we can fix what we broke. I want to save this friendship". Momo widened her eyes as she looked at him, though her hands were still holding his, she didn't dare let it go. "W-What? F-Friendship?". Delsin nodded his head. "Yes, I would like to be your friend again, Momo, put this whole ugly mess behind us and start over".
Yaoyorozu frowned as her heart began to shatter. "So....you mean...you don't want to...". "Want to what?". "I have feelings for you, Delsin-kun. I don't want to be just friends, I want to be more than that. I want us to be a couple". Delskn frowned. There. She laid it out so he didn't have to, so now it's time for him to drop the bomb. "I know...". Yaoyorozu grew shocked. "You knew?". "Yeah, actually, Kyoka told me a little earlier today actually". "She told you?! She's so nosy!". "Yeah, but she's just being a caring friend, can't really blame her too harshly. I mean she almost tried to kill me if didn't talk to you". Yaoyorozu and Rowe laughed softly at Jiro's protective nature.
Momo sighed before she looked at him. "So, what does this mean". Delsin lookdd her straight in the eye and spoke. "No". Momo widened her eyes as he eyed her with a sad smile. "W-W-What? You're saying n-no?....I thought you forgiven me". Delsin smiled softly. "I have forgiven you, Momo. But that doesn't mean that everything will fall into place. I came here to fix the bridge between us so that you can stop beating yourself up about what happened" he said as he cupped her cheek. "But truth is: Momo, I'm hurting still. Do you know what I was planning on doing that day when I asked you to meet up?".
Momo shook her head no. To be honest, she would just like to forget that day like it was a bad dream but she can't when she keeps remembering it. "No, I don't". "I was gonna ask you out on a date myself. I had finally worked up the nerve and push myself to finally ask you out. That was what I was truly planning". Momo pulled her hands away from Delsin in order to put her hands in front of her mouth to stop the cry that wanted to leave her mouth, though tears fell down her face. "Hey! Don't cry-". "How can I not?! I'm such a bitch!". "Come on, let it go, I already forgave you so there's no point in sweating the past but even then, I just don't think I can....I just don't think i can trust you in a romantic sense".
Yaoyorozu widened her eyes in horror. She couldn't speak as she choked on a sob but Delsin hugged her. "But mo matter what, I will always be your friend, Momo. Depend on that!" He pushed her away from him to wipe her eyes before giving her a soft chaste kiss on her cheek before walking away to exit the Yaoyorozu manor. "No!". Delsun turned around to see Yaoyorozu standing and staring at him. "Hm?". "I don't want to be your friend, I want you to be mine and I'm not giving up till it becomes reality!".
Delsin nearly almost scoffed in her face at the declaration but he saw her eyes and how they were burning with determination to make him see her in a romantic sense. They both knew the romantic feelings were there, especially on her end, but it was about getting the trust back that was going to be the issue and Delsin thinks it's too big to handle. "Momo, don't you think-". "I'm not going to stop. I will get you to return your feelings to me, Delsin Rowe, even if it takes me the entire three years of U.A High to do it. I will get you" she responded.
Delsin turned around to walk away but before he left, he spoke. "Heh, fine. You can try, of course, but I hope you can live with disappointment. Cause that might be your future as well. Though I highly recommend you use this newfound determination and channel it into your Final exams before summer" he said before walking out, leaving Momo to frown as she plotted her way to get Delsin to open up to her again. With Delsin leaving the mansion, John spoke. 'Well, do you think she can do it? Get you to open up to her?'. 'What the-? That was supposed to be a private conversation!'. 'Oh hush up, just tell me what you think!'.
Delsin sighed. 'To be honest, no but I've been proven wrong before.....'. Delsin turned to the window of the mansion to see Momo watch him leave. He sighed. '......a part of me, deep down, prays that I'm wrong this time'.
