Chapter 11 - Heartfelt Goodbyes

"Wait!" Harper says putting her hand up
"What is it now!?" Jeff says annoyed
"Let me say goodbye! To Kelly and the kids please!" Harper says with tears in her eyes
"Fine!" Jeff says as he dials Kelly's number into his phone
"Harper?!" Kelly asks when he answers the phone
"Hey Kelly!" Harper says
"Who's in there with you?" Kelly asks as Jeff points the gun towards Harper
"That's not important! I want you to follow these steps for me? Can you do that?" Harper asks trying not to cry
"Yeah I can!" Kelly says with tears in his eyes
"If I don't get out of here! I want you to go by Otis's grave and tell him I never meant to break his heart or let him down! Tell Gabby and Casey not to cry because I never meant to make them cry and tell them thank you for everything they've done! Tell Boden to make sure you and the firehouse are okay I don't want you guys being sad for long! Tell the kids to hold on because they have so much more to look forward to in life and they don't need me there! Tell Herrmann that I'm gonna place a bet on him! That he is gonna get Luitenent on truck 81! And Kelly! It's not your fault! Okay don't you ever blame yourself if I don't walk out of here! Because there was nothing you could possibly do!" Harper says bringing everyone to tears
"Harper...Please! Don't tell me it's the end of the line! The end of us?" Kelly says whilst sobbing
"I can't stand by your side anymore! People just get the better of me sometimes! But I love you Kelly Severide" Harper says looking at Jeff
"Forever and always!" Kelly says as Jeff ends the call
*Outside*
Everyone has gone silent after Harper's speech
"We don't deserve her! None of us ever really did! After she scarified herself for each and every single one of us! Maybe not all at the same time but she had definitely saved us all" Gabby says with tears rolling down her face
"No! We're not saying goodbye here! Because Harper's gonna get herself out of this mess like she always does! We can't just leave her to die! She had kids!" Casey shouts whilst sobbing
Kelly has just frozen in his spot with his phone still in his hand and Casey isn't helping
"Come on honey! Let's sit you down!" Gabby says wiping her tears
*Inside*
"Go on then! Pull the trigger! Kill your own daughter!" Harper shouts
Jeff goes to pull the trigger but chickens out and Harper launches herself at him. Jeff smacks Harper across the face with the gun but she keeps going. Doing everything she can to protect herself. Jeff then kicks her in the face with his heel causing her forehead to bleed. Until eventually he has her pinned down
"You ungrateful little bitch! Now your really gonna pay!" Jeff says as he pulls the trigger....
