Author's POV

" Mom... Marriage is not in my fate. I don't feel bad that my betrothal was stopped, I accepted my truth. You please try to understand that we can't expect a girl to compromise her life and happiness for my sake. It would be a selfish act, and I'm not such a person. You can't find such girl who sacrifice her happiness for others. So better stop looking a girl for me, don't worry about my future. I'm happy with what I'm, moreover I have you and Akash. I'm feeling content with you both in my life. So now you can start to search a suitable girl for Akash, I think he is ready for marriage" said Abhiroop alias Abhi leaving his engagement hall.

He drives his high end BMW aimlessly on the roads of the busy city. Finally he stopped near the beach shore, after he assured none was there he came down from his car and walked near the seashore. Silently he walked into the water, he glared at the moon and seawaves with a drop of tears in his eyes, the pain of rejection was clearly visible in his tear filled eyes. The chill water touched his feet again and again, he felt better with that. He thought at least these sea waves like him, a sad smile creeped on his lips.

His mobile rang but he ignored it knowing that it would be his mother, and she will try to convince him again. After a longtime he decided to go back thinking about his worried mother, but before that he slipped a ring from his hand into the seawaves along with a few tear drops. Probably it would be his engagement ring which he bought for that bride who rejected him a while ago.

After Two years.....

"Ramya what are you doing?? How long will you make us wait?? This is your sisters marriage not yours, please come fast. We are getting late for the wedding venue. Already out relatives left in a bus now only we are here. It's getting late we need to go there before evening " Sundaram shouted at top of his voice to gain his daughters attention.

" Appa... You know right?? She will come only if she completes her work. Then why are you wasting your energy?? She went to feed her friends, better you come and sit inside the car, it's so hot outside then you will be tired " said Sowmya. Sundaram obliged her words without a choice.

"Appa...At least for my marriage she packed her bags and get ready early, what will she do in her own marriage?? Did you think about that?? I think she will pack until the last moment of her wedding. I pity her would be husband, then how he will marry her?? " Asked Sowmya and laughed louder by closing her mouth with her palms.

Sundaram too joined with her elder daughter and laughed thinking about his younger daughter attrocities. He knew well about his younger daughter she always does what she wants and she is sometimes kiddish in her acts. He was always proud about his elder daughter he was sure she will handle her marriage life well, she was helping him in his work and taking care of the family from her young age. Definitely she will adjust with her in-laws and she will be the best daughter in law.

But when it is about his younger daughter, he was worried a lot, sometimes he felt guilty for not being a strict father with her after his wife death. He thought she will miss her mom so, he didn't scold her eventhough she was very mischievous and created so many problems in the surroundings. She is like a Tom boy of this village, sometimes he wondered whether he have two daughters or a daughter and a son.

Many times he worried about her future thinking about her marriage life, he wonderd how will she able to cope up with her in-laws and husband. He prayed to God to get him such a son in law, who can tolerate her attrocities, being so kind, caring and lovable to her.

" Hey... What are you saying about my marriage?? " Asked Ramya while getting inside the car.

" Nothing... I said. By the way did you hear us ??" Asked Sowmya with a doubt.

" Of course I heard. Eventhough I was busy in feeding by friends ( birds), I know what happened here. Don't you know I have so many spies here, moreover my ears are too sharp when the matter is about me " Ramya proudly proclaimed.

" Ohhhh.... Then tell what did we talk??" Asked Sowmya. Sundaram just smiled at his both the daughters attrocities.

" You pitied my would be husband, right?? Don't worry I will not pack my stuff till the last moment. I will be ready before a week at least, once he come to hold my hand in marriage, I will marry and fly with him to somewhere in this world " said Ramya with a full smile and dreaming about her prince charming.

" You... Day dreamer, where will you go leaving us?? Father and I want to see your marriage right?? Won't you mind us?? Asked Sowmya worriedly.

" Hey Sowmi... I didn't mean it, of course how will I marry without you both. But, about one-thing I'm very sure that I will not get marry like you in that small unknown village. At least our village is better than your would be husband's village. I will do only destination wedding " said Ramya teasingly and giggled at Sowmi.

Sowmi went to hit her, they both had a kiddish fight inside the car. Sundaram tried to stop them both, finally they stopped and made sure that they both should not fight in groom's village, originally where the marriage planned to happen. Also he warned Ramya to not to say anything bad about groom's village, it may hurt their sentiments. Ramya obliged, her father requested her to behave well stop her mischievous acts and be a quite girl at least till the marriage happens. He told her this marriage is one of his dream, nothing should go wrong. I want to see your sister happy with her husband. Ramya got emotional and promised his father about the same he asked.

On the way both the sister's were chatting about their costumes, jewellery make up and all the other things about marriage. Ramya was super excited to see her elder sister getting married, she expressed it to her. Eventhough she was only three years elder to her, but she treated her like a mother. When her mother died Ramya was 8 , Sowmya was 11 from that time she took care of her little sister as a mother. She feed her, gave bathe to her, and played with her, she never let her little sister to feel bad thinking about their mom.

After four of travel they reached that village, actually it was not so bad as Ramya thought. It is a big village but definitely not so better as their own village, Ramya said herself.

After fifteen minutes travel, the car was stopped at the entrance of the old big house, actually we can call it as villa. Because it looks like that, though the building was old it was fully renovated and painted well. Both the girls were mesmerized to see the beauty and the well maintained garden. Also the entire building was decorated with flowers and lights for the marriage. Ramya started her selfie session.

" Sowmi....is this your would be husband's house?? Not so bad, it's better.... No..
No... actually it looks good " said Ramya. Sowmya smiled at her in anticipation.

" Welcome... Welcome... Please come in. How was your travel?? Everything ok?? A women around her late fifties asked them with a happy smiling face.

"Yes... sister it was fine" said Sundaram with a smile.Seeing that old woman Sowmya went near her touched her feet and took her blessings.

"Sowmi... How are you?? " Asked that woman.

" I'm fine aunty. How are you??" Asked Sowmi.

" Of course I'm very good to see my future daughter in law" said that woman. Sowmi gets shy and looked down.

" How are you Ramya?? How is your studies ?? Sowmi said you are in last semester " asked Janaki, Sowmiya's future mother in law.

Ramya took blessings from her and said
" It's going well aunty, I took somedays off for Sowmi marriage " said Ramya. Janaki smiled at her and asked them to come in.

They all went inside the house, Sowmi and Ramya was surprised to the interior of that house it was so authentic. Within few minutes they both went to the room allocated for them. Ramya was unpacking her bag to get ready for pre wedding rituals. But Sowmi was restless thinking about her fiancee, whom she didn't see yet. She tried calling his number but he didn't pick it up.
