" Now we have to go before Gma gets mad. "
" She's already mad. " Nah'Lonnie said laughing.
" Why? "
" Because PawPaw scared her. He had Uncle Jay run up here saying that he got hit by a car but he actually was in the lobby standing with flowers and the plan was to ask her out to breakfast. But Gma got mad and hit Uncle Jay and came back upstairs mad. But Paw Paw is making it up though. "
" How? " Nah'Lonnie shrugged her shoulders.
" I don't know he hasn't told us yet "
" Lawd mommy is going to kill him, why you guys did that? " Lo laughed.
" I don't know. But it was a good laugh cause Gma spazzed out. She almost hit Pawpaw with a shoe. " They laughed.
" GIRLS COME ON NOW! " Mama Carol yelled. They walked out quickly.
" Hi mommy " Nicki said trying to kiss Mama Carol's cheek.
" Not now Onika not right now! "
" Yes ma'am " Nicki chuckled. They walked downstairs and piled into the van. Twenty minutes later, they pulled up to Nicki's aunts house. They got out and Nah'Lonnies nerves started to get the best of her.
" Relax mama " Nicki kissed her cheek and they walked up to the door. They walked inside. Cheers and happy tears filled the room hugs went around and Nah'Lonnie just stood there.
Nah'Lonnies P.O.V
I'm just standing here and everybody is hugging one another. This is cool.
" Oh my god. Who is this? wait Nika is this the baby? " This lady is pinching my cheeks and in my face. Yet she doesn't know me! Okay....I smiled trying to hide my discomfort.
" Yeah that's Nah'Lonnie. Nah'Lonnie this is your family. " All of a sudden, people came up and hugged me. This family hugs A LOT!
Now is it just me or lil mama with the caramel skin is giving me dirty looks?
" Caiah, who's that? " I head nodded over to her.
" Oh that's Anna. She's 16 "
" Okay "
" Guys come and eat " Gma walked back into the room. We all gathered in the dinning room and some man said the prayer. I really need to learn names! Anyway I sat down while everyone went to go share their food.
My phone rang and and it was a phone call from daddy. I got up and took it outside.
" Hello? "
" Hey princess "
" Hey daddy Wussup "
" I have a surprise for you and your mom. " I smiled
" Really what is it? "
" It's on it's way over there. It should be there tomorrow "
" Oo daddy please tell me. "
" No, now I need you to do me a favor. I need you to make sure that your mom is free tomorrow. She can't go anywhere "
" How do you want me to do that? "
" I don't know, pretend like you got hurt or your sick. Something princess please. "
" Okay "
" Alright. Now I have to go but tell your mom I said I love her and to call me when she gets the chance to. "

I hung up and went inside. I think I have an idea. I went back to the dining room to see Anna in my seat which is in between mommy and Caiah. I rolled my eyes and sat next to Gma and the lady who was pinching my cheeks. I leaned on Gma's shoulder. She kissed my head.
" Ya not eating? " I shook my head no. " Hm? "
" No ma'am "
" Why? "
" Because I'm not going to eat a whole plate "
" Here " Gma started to feed me off of her plate. Stories were being told about mommy, uncle Jay, and some of my cousins.
Lunch was done and the women were cleaning the table and washing dishes. I was helping grandma dry the dishes when Anna bumped me while I was drying the knife. The knife fell out of my hand and I jumped back before it hit my foot and cut me. Now I've had it. The dirty looks and slick comments I could deal with, but that is a knife. I turned around and she was drinking a water bottle with the fridge door opened. I pushed her as hard as I could and her body made contact with the inside of the fridge and she feel hitting her head. Mommy grabbed me and dragged me outside.
" Get in that car now! "
" But I didn't even do anything. She bumped me and the knife almost cut me "
" I don't care. That's your cousin. Now I have to babysit in you in a damn hotel room cause you can't seem to quit putting your hands on people children. Get in the car now Nah'Lonnie! " I rolled my eyes and got in the car. Mommy went back inside and went she came out Caiah came out with her. They got in and the driver drove off. On the way there mommy kept mumbling things and cursing under her breath.
But this time it really wasn't my fault.
When we got to the hotel, mommy dragged us upstairs and to her room.
" Ma? "
" Don't even start Nah'Lonnie. Matter fact get ya ass up " I looked and she took off her belt. I'm not getting up. Nope! " Oh so you think you grown? " I shook my head no.
Wop! Wop! Wop! She started to hit me and I jumped on the bed.
" Mommy stop! I'm sorry! Mommy okay! OKAY! STOP!! "
" Who the hell you yelling at huh? " the belt was going in many different places.
" Not you mommy not you " I jumped down and she tried to grab me but Caiah jumped in front of me. MY NIGGA!
We both were getting our butts whooped. Mommy stopped after a couple of minutes and sent us to our rooms. Caiah came in my room. I wiped my tears and looked at him.
" Thanks for blocking me. "
" It's okay she was gonna get me next for laughing anyway so and plus what's family for? We're all in this together right? " I giggled. This nigga would be quoting some Disney shit!
" I love you Caiah for real. " I kissed his cheek.
" That's what a Uncle is for. Oh and don't do that ever again. Thugs don't like all that mushy shit. "
" Curse again! " Mommy said walking in making us jump. " Different rooms now! " Caiah got up and ran passed mommy into his room. Mommy walked out and closed the door. I laid down and took a nap.

I woke up to someone shaking me.
" Lo get up, come on I'm bored. You missed dinner too. Come on it's only eleven and we're on vacation. Okay don't say I didn't warn you. " Next thing in know, I get hit with a pillow and some one jumping on my bed. I turned around and it was Caiah. I slightly kicked him and he fell off the bed. I busted out laughing.
" My nigga. Why you did that? "
" Never jump on my bed " I laughed.
" Wait shh. You hear that? " I got quiet and a door closed shut.
" Yay! Your here fr? Okay I'll meet you in the lobby. Yeah just let me check on princess and Caiah first okay! Alright bye " We herd footsteps coming towards my room. I tossed pillows down and a sheet. Caiah pretended to be asleep on the floor while I pretended to be asleep on the bed.
I heard the room door open.
" Awh, my babies. " Mommy said. She kissed my cheek and I heard her kiss Caiah's. She smelled like she just came out of the shower. Mommy left my room and soon left the hotel. Caiah and I shot up.
" Let's follow her! " We said in unison. I put on my pink short Uggs and a sweater over my gray cami. Caiah had to just put on slides since he was in red basketball shorts and a white Ralph Lauren v-neck. I grabbed my hotel key and phone. We walked out the room.
" Let's take the stairs since the elevators stop right in front of the lobby. "
" Okay " we jogged down the stairs. " What if my dad is downstairs Caiah? "
" Did he say he was coming? "
" No,bbut he did say he had a surprise for us. And who else does she talk to and refers me to princess and you Caiah unless it's someone she knows. And I know Rika or them can't come because their working so who's left but Daddy? " I said excited.
" True. Unless Wayne. "
" Caiah I said RIKA AND THEM! That includes all her friends " I rolled my eyes. This boy can be so slow at times.
" Well you should've said that. "
" I DID SAY THAT!! "
" Well hurt my feels why don't you? "
" I'm playing. " I kissed his cheek and we laughed. We walked down the last flight of stairs to the lobby. My heart raced. We walked to where the arcade was and hid behind that wall. I seen mommy get off the elevator and run to some guy. She hugged him and he picked her up. They kissed. That's NOT my dad.
" MEEK STOP! " Mommy giggled and they kissed again. She got on his back and they walked to the elevators.
Caiah and I walked back upstairs in silence. We walked into the hotel room and went separate ways. I put the pillows back on my bed and used the comforter to cover my self as I cried my self to sleep with one person on my mind. Daddy.
