Cherry reached up to my table and I was still confused that why she came running like that.
Cherry: " Y/N I want *breathe* to tell y- *breathe* something." (i want to tell you something)
she said with a grin on her face. What?!
You: "Go ahead tell me but first take a seat you are breathless. Come here sit down."
I said patting the chair beside me. She sat down and relaxed and bit and then continued to speak.
Cherry: "So when you ran inside I saw a board which says that they need to hire some staff members to work."
I stopped chewing my food and looked up at her.
Y/N: "Yeah.....so what about it?"
Cherry: "You see the old lady there."
She said pointing at the old lady receptionist who was busy making some bills. I nodded and she continued.
Cherry: "Actually I went inside and asked for the job application so I said her that I will talk to our parents first about this. So I called dad we discussed it and at first, they were hesitant but later gave up as we were looking for a job and we already found it in a good company. She told me that she and her husband are getting retired so their positions should be replaced asap, We talked about ample amount of time and the salary is also good enough so she gave me to fill these forms up and we should go for the interview as well."
My spoon drooped after hearing this news she told me. We both were already looking for a job and we also found it in a well-going company. I finished up my food and then fill up the forms with Chae which basically asked our personal details. After filling it up we went to old lady and submitted it after a few time I was called by Mr Oh who is supposed to be our invigilator as well as the interviewer. She guided me towards a building when we entered inside, I asked the receptionist.
You: "Excuse me, ma'am.....Can you let us know the guide to Mr oh's office actually we are here to give the job interview."
Receptionist: "lemme check you are...?"
You: "Y/N, Emi Y/N.
Receptionist: " Okay ,okay you're there on the list and you....?
She said pointing toward Chae
Cherry: " I am Cherry Quinn."
Receptionist: "Yeah Miss Quinn you are there you both please have a seat on the sofa and let me call Mr Oh."
She said and we both nodded and settled down on the chair. She made a quick call and after few nods, she called up my name.
Receptionist: "Miss Emi, sir has called you come follow me."
As I heard my name I started dugging my nails into my palms making a first. Cherry noticed that and gave me a warm hug which comforted me.
Cherry: "Y/Naaa calm down okay. Remove all the negative thoughts hmmm. I know you can do it, all the hard works we did in our studies are surely gonna be worth it one day and you have to prove it today. Perform well bro. Fighting!"
She said all the words while patting my head which really helped me to ease the tension that was build up inside me. I made a fist symbol smiling at her and went off with the receptionist. After passing through the corridor we stopped in front of a door that had a red shelf aside.
Receptionist: "Miss here's the office. Good luck!"
She said that and left again I started to feel nervous but I calmed myself down. Everything is gonna be okay Y/N chill. I relaxed and knocked on the door. I heard a come in and I opened the door and entered inside with a slight smile on my face.
Mr Oh: "Come here miss take a seat"
I greeted him and bowed before taking the seat.
Mr Oh: " So introduce yourself, miss."
You: "Hi sir, My name is Emi Y/N and I am half Korean and half Filipino and I have done my studies from xxx college of Philippines which is located in Quezon City."
Mr Oh: "Well how many languages do you know as I see that you are speaking Korean fluently even though you have studied from Philippines."
You: "Well sir.... I can speak Filipino, Korean, English and a little bit of Japanese too."
Me Oh: "Oh my God that's a lot of Y/N."
He kept asking me questions and I answered them confidently and I could see that he was awestricken by my every single answer and after taking the test I could see he was impressed, hella impressed by my answeres on the sheet as well.
Me Oh: "Well Y/N I am still astonished by your answers and confidence level and the way you present everything. I have never received such answers which could strike the point of the topic I am so glad to have you here."
I was happy to see that he liked my answers but now the question is that am I selected for the job. So I gathered up all my courage trying my best to wash away all the fears and asked him.
You: "Sir then am I liable for the job."
He looked up at me and stamped my answer sheet handling it to me and said.
Me Oh: "Obviously Y/N you are selected for the job.. I mean Is it something to ask even."
I smile brightly up to him showing my teeth. It just felt so unrealistic. My inner self started to dance happily in pleasure.
You: "Thank you so much sir *bow* for giving me this opportunity. I will do my best once again thank you so much."
Me Oh: " No problem Y/N, now you can go to the receptionist she will explain to you your schedule, shifts and your dorm room too."
You: "Sure sir" *bow*
I came out of my room wearing my bright smile as I was internally thanking Chae for motivating me so much otherwise I would just have made a whole damn mess over there. I walked up to the waiting area where Chae was waiting for me while closing her eyes. I walked up to her and tapped her shoulder and pulled her into a tight warm hug. She immediately understood that I was selected and wrapped her arms around me
You: "Thanku so much for motivating me sis otherwise I could have messed up badly."
Cherry: "See I told you... your hard works would be worth it one day. Congo Y/Na."
I nodded as she broke the hug after she heard her name being called.
You: "hey dude, do your best and believe in yourself you are also gonna surpass just like I did okay go now best of luck! "
I passed her a warm comforting smile as she left with the receptionist. God pray to you pleaseee pleaseee make sure she performs well and gets selected. I prayed to God just like a kid who asks for another chocolate.
TIME SKIP
I was checking my schedule for the past 15 minutes as the receptionist handed me. Suddenly I felt someone held my hands I got startled a bit but recognised the touch. I looked up to see Chae jumping in happiness I didn't even wasted a moment a hugged her. Looks like my prayer reached God. My soul smiled due to so much happiness. I pulled out from the hug.
You: " Congratulations chae. I.....just can't believe we would be working together in such a big company."
Cherry: "We'll the feeling is mutual. By the way let's take my schedule and we have so many things to do like shifting of stuff and many more so let's go and not waste our time on."
I nodded and went with her. We would be starting to work after a few days and guess what? BINGO!we have the same dorm which basically has two small separated rooms. I am more than happy to start my job with Chae.
