14. Dangerous Liaisons
"You didn't have to come to the hospital with me Kol" Aria said.
"Of course I did" Kol said, "What kind of person would I be if I left you alone in such a situation?".
Aria gave Kol a small smile, "I really do appericate you staying, I know being in the hospital is the last thing you need after being daggered for a century".
Kol smiled at Aria and grabbed her hand in his, "It's not the ideal place, but I made a exception for you".
"Ria".
Kol and Aria looked towards the voice, to see Damon standing infront of them, an unreadable expression on his face.
"Damon" Aria said, removing her hand from Kol's grasp and running over to her boyfriend, Kol immediately missing her warmth, "Where were you Damon? Someone attacked Ric and I had to kill him so his ring would bring him back, I tried to call you but you didn't answer your phone, luckily Kol came and helped me take Ric to the hospital once he woke up".
"Of course he did" Damon mumbled, which Kol heard causing him to smirk, "I'm sorry Ria, I was busy, how's Ric?".
"His fine, they are making him spend the night here for observation" Aria revealed.
"Are you okay?" Damon asked.
"I just had to kill my adoptive father Damon, do you think I'm okay?" Aria asked, looking down at her shaking hands, "Forget that, did you check up on Caroline? Her Dad died if you didn't know".
Aria was angry at Damon, she knew he was undaggering the Mikaelson's but she had called him more then twenty times, not once had he picked up, instead at one point he even switched his phone off.
Damon sighed, he knew he messed up, his talk with Stefan about Kol kind of put him on edge so he ignored all of Aria's calls, he didn't realise that it was an emergency, and he knows he deserves Aria's anger, he promised to always be there but he wasn't there when she literally had to kill her adoptive father.
"She called me letting me know about Ric and her dad, and she's trying to hold it together but it's hard since in the past her and Dad used to be close" Damon said.
"You answered Caroline's call, but not mine?" Aria asked confused, "Did I do something wrong?".
"What? No" Damon said quickly, "It's just--".
"Just what Damon?" Aria asked.
"Don't worry about it Ria, just tell me, is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Damon asked.
"Yeah, you can" Aria said, not liking the sudden tension between her and Damon, "I need to check up on Caroline, can you stay with Ric?".
"Of course" Damon replied.
"Okay" Aria whispered, "Kol, want me to drop you home?".
"Yes please" Kol replied.
And with that Kol and Aria left the hospital, leaving Damon behind.
Damon kept his eyes on Aria till her and Kol were out of his eye sight, Kol had just arrived and there was already tension between Damon and Aria, and Damon knew it was practically his fault as Aria was completely unaware of the storm going around in Damon's head, he needed to fix this before this small tension turned into something bigger.

"She's Esther Elena!" Bonnie yelled, pacing up and down the Gilbert kitchen, "The same Esther who was responsible for Aria dying one thousand years ago!".
"We had to open the coffin Bonnie" Elena said.
"And what happens when she tries to kill Aria?" Bonnie snapped, "What happens when the Mikaelson's find out that their mother is currently in my house, plotting how to kill them!".
"Bonnie, they won't find out, and even if they do, Esther will kill them before they can do anything about it" Elena said.
"How do we know while trying to kill her children, she doesn't kill Aria?" Bonnie asked.
"We don't know that Bonnie" Elena replied, "But whatever happens to Aria, is her own fault, she chose their side, it's on her whatever happens to her".
"Are you even hearing yourself?!" Bonnie yelled, "Aria is our best friend, I swear to god if something happens to her because of us, I will never forgive you or myself".
"Bonnie--".
Before Elena could continue, a knock on the door interrupted Bonnie and Elena's argument.
Elena opened the door, and frowned finding no one except a envelope with her name on it.
"What is it?" Bonnie asked.
"It's a note" Elena replied, pulling out the note, "It's from Esther".
"Esther?" Bonnie asked shocked, "Why is Esther sending you a note?".
"Elena, come to the Bennett's, I think it's time we finally talked, Esther", Elena looked at Bonnie in shock, "How did she manage to get this here?".
"She's a witch Elena, she can do anything" Bonnie replied, "So, are you going?".
"I have to" Elena replied.
What Elena didn't read out to Bonnie was the little side note Esther wrote for her, she knew Bonnie wouldn't agree to it, but she had to do it.
If you want my children gone, you must bring me something of Ariana's.

"Kol, I really need to be at Caroline's" Aria said, as Kol dragged her into the Mikaelson mansion.
"You can go, right after you meet him" Kol said.
"Meet who?" Aria asked confused.
"Him" Kol said, pointing to his older brother, who was staring at Aria in shock.
"Ariana" Finn whispered.
"Finn" Aria whispered, a smile coming over her face.
Aria stepped forward to hug Finn, but a searing pain in her head caused her to fall to the ground.
"Aah!" Aria yelled.
"Ariana!" Finn yelled, running over to Aria.
"Don't touch her Finn!" Kol warned, "She's remembering you, if you touch her, it will just increase her pain".
Ariana walked over to the lake, where she knew the oldest Mikaelson would be.
"Finn".
Finn looked at Ariana, an alarmed expression on his face, "Don't come near me Ariana, I don't want to hurt you".
"Don't be silly Finn, you will never hurt me" Ariana said.
"I can hear you heartbeat Ariana, all I want to do is drain your blood, please don't come near me" Finn pleaded.
"Finn, I trust you, I know you can control your bloodlust" Ariana said, sitting next to Finn.
"I don't want to live like this" Finn admitted, "I don't want to be a monster".
"You're not a monster Finn, being a vampire doesn't make you a monster, it's your actions that turn you into a monster" Ariana said.
"I nearly killed one of the villagers Ariana, stop saying I'm not a monster, cause I am" Finn said, "I can't live like this".
"Monsters don't feel guilty" Ariana pointed out.
"Ariana--".
"Look Finn, you're not alone in this, the rest of your siblings are in the same boat as you" Ariana said, "If not for yourself then you're going to have to live for them".
"They are living for you" Finn pointed.
"Fine, then live for me" Ariana said, "Live your immortal life for your not so immortal sister".
Finn sighed, "I don't want to live as a vampire, but I will only if you make sure I don't kill anymore".
"Deal!" Ariana yelled excitedly.
After the pain was gone, Aria slowly stood up and looked at Finn with teary eyes, by now all the Mikaelson siblings had come.
Aria ran over to Finn and hugged him, Finn gladly hugged her back, the other siblings watching them with a smile on their face.
"I missed you" Finn said.
"Well, I'm back now" Aria said, breaking the hug.
"Yeah, and she's not going anywhere anytime soon" Kol said.
"Except with me to get our nails down for the ball" Rebekah said.
"Wait, what ball?" Aria asked confused.
"In honour of our family reuniting with each other and you, we are throwing a ball" Elijah replied.
"But is that smart, you haven't even gotten your sealed coffin back" Aria said.
"It doesn't matter anymore" Klaus said, "That coffin can't harm me, I no longer care about it".
"What changed exactly?" Aria asked confused, "Yesterday, you were so adamant on getting the coffin back".
"Yesterday I didn't have my hybrids or my family by my side" Klaus replied.
"Enough talking, we need to go" Rebekah said, grabbing Aria's hand, but before she could drag her away, Kol grabbed Aria's other hand.
"You've spend ages with her, now it's my turn" Kol said, pulling Aria towards him.
"She's my best friend, I need her" Rebekah said, pulling Aria towards her.
"Guys--".
"I've waited for her for over a thousand years Rebekah" Kol said, pulling Aria back to him.
"Guys listen--".
"Go to hell Kol, she's my best friend, you will get time with her at the ball, right now, she's going with me" Rebekah said, pulling Aria to her.
"Any help?" Aria asked, the remaining Mikaelson siblings, who looked very amused.
"I want to spend time with her now" Kol said, pulling on Aria again.
"Okay, enough!" Aria yelled, removing her hands from Rebekah and Kol's grasp, "Right now, I'm not spending time with any of you, my sister needs me, so I'm going to her, I will see you both at the ball".
"But--".
"Goodbye!" Aria interrupted, running away from the two siblings.
"Definitely didn't miss Kol and Rebekah fighting over my best friend" Klaus complained.
Finn chuckled, "Yes you did".
"We all did" Elijah said, a small smile on his face.

"I'm so sorry I took so long in coming to you" Aria apologised, "First the whole Ric incident, then Kol dragged me to meet Finn, I tried coming earlier but I--".
"Hey, hey, hey" Caroline interrupted, "It's okay Aria, you don't have to explain yourself to me, yesterday wasn't just hard on me, it was also hard for you".
"So you're not mad at me?" Aria asked.
"Of course not" Caroline assured, "Now, tell me about Kol and Finn, how was it meeting them for the first time?".
Aria smiled and went to tell Caroline about the new Mikaelson siblings, but the knock on the front door interrupted the two sisters.
Caroline and Aria looked at each other in confusion, not knowing who it could be, it couldn't be Liz, as she was at work, or Rebekah, because Rebekah never knocked she just barged in.
The two friends stood up and opened the door, they were met with two boxes alongside with two envelopes with each of their name on it, grabbing the boxes they took it to their room.
"Please join the Mikaelson family this evening at seven o'clock for dancing, cocktails and celebration" Aria read.
"This must be the invitation for the ball Rebekah called me about" Caroline said, looking at the invitation, turning it around she realised she had a message, "Save me a dance, fondly, Klaus".
"Oooo" Aria teased.
"Shut it" Caroline said, a small smile on her face, "What does the back of yours say?".
Aria turned her invitation and smiled reading it, "Blue makes you look heavenly, don't forget to save me the last dance, love, Kol".
"His totally hitting on you!" Caroline said.
"His not hitting on me Care, he knows I have a boyfriend, his being friendly" Aria said, opening the box that came with her invitation, opening it she was met with an amazing baby blue ball gown, "Wow, that's--I don't know what to say".
"How about beautiful?" Caroline suggested.
"It's more then beautiful, it's amazing" Aria said, looking at the dress infront of her in amazement.
Caroline shook her head at her friend then proceeded to open her own box, and was met with a beautiful blue dress.
"Yeap, these brothers definitely have style" Caroline whispered, looking at her dress in shock.

"Matt?" Aria asked, walking with Caroline and Rebekah into the Grill, "You're asking Matt to the ball?".
"Yeap" Rebekah replied, "Caroline said she has no problem with it".
"Of course Caroline has no problem, she's got Nik now" Aria teased, playfully nudging Caroline.
"I can't hear you" Caroline said, covering her ears, making Rebekah and Aria laugh, "And Rebekah, look, there's Matt, go up to him and hand him the invitation, without any murder or threatening".
"Have some belief in me" Rebekah said, almost offended.
"I believe you, but I don't believe your temper" Caroline said, making Aria laugh.
"Okay, enough you guys, go on Rebekah, go ask Matt to be your date for this magical night" Aria said, pushing Rebekah towards Matt.
"I'm going, no need to push" Rebekah said, walking over to Matt.
"Oh god" Caroline groaned, her eyes landing on someone, "They are still alive?".
Aria looked to where Caroline was looking, only to see Bonnie and Elena looking towards Matt and Rebekah in shock, they did not except Rebekah to invite Matt as her date, what shocked them more was when they saw Matt accepting the invitation without any hesitation.

"Hello, Carol" Damon greeted, handing Carol Lockwood a glass of champagne.
"Hello" Carol greeted.
"Hanging out with your new besties?" Damon asked.
"Could ask you the same thing" Carol replied, "And I'm the mayor Damon, when the oldest, deadliest family of vampires moves into your town, you welcome them with a smile".
"Hmm, well, at least both of us know who we're going to be borrowing a cup of sugar from" Damon teased.
"Mayor Lockwood" Kol greeted, walking over to the duo and shaking the Mayor's hand, "We haven't formally met, Kol Mikaelson", Kol dropped a quick kiss on Carol's hand, "We hope your lovely town embraces us just as much as we plan to embrace it".
"Damon Salvatore" Damon introduced, forwarding his hand.
"Right, of course" Kol said, shaking Damon's hand, "Ri's boyfriend".
"Correct, I'm Ria's boyfriend" Damon said, emphasising on I'm.
Kol and Damon stood there just glaring at each other, both of them knew because of the other they could possible lose the girl they both love immensely, something none of the boys wanted.
Their glaring competition was interrupted when the doors opened and in came the girl they both adored.
Aria's dress and hair for the ball.
Aria entered the ball and looked around in amazement, ever since she was a child she always wanted to go to a ball, she wanted to feel like a princess, and today her dream had come true.
"You look stunning" Damon said, walking over to Aria.
"Thank you" Aria said, giving Damon a small bow, "You clean up nice".
"Yeah, had a girl to impress" Damon said, making Aria smile.
"So I was right" Kol said, walking over to the couple, "Blue does make you look heavenly".
Aria smiled at Kol, "Thank you for the dress".
"My pleasure, darling" Kol said, making Damon frown.
"Shall we then?" Damon interrupted the two, forwarding his arm for his girlfriend.
"We shall" Kol said, also forwarding his arm for the young witch.
Aria glanced between Kol and Damon, after a moment, she looped one of her arm around Damon's and the other around Kol's.
"This is going to be a long night" Aria mumbled, as the two boys lead her inside.

Klaus stood there talking to a random girl, when his attention went towards the entrance, where Caroline Forbes had just entered, in the blue dress Klaus had gifted her.
"Good evening" Klaus greeted, making Caroline smile.
"Thanks for the dress" Caroline said.
"Anytime" Klaus said, "Drink?".
"Please" Caroline said, making Klaus chuckle.

Aria stood near the bar, finally have lost both Kol and Damon, their glaring competition was starting to get on her nerves.
"Ari, there you are" Klaus said, walking over to the young witch.
"Here I am" Aria said, smiling at the hybrid, "How can I help you?".
"Elijah's about to make his speech, all of us are going to stand on the stairs, so come on" Klaus said, grabbing Aria's hand.
"Nik, wait" Aria said, stopping Klaus, "I can't be up there".
Klaus frowned, "Why not?".
"Because I'm not a Mikaelson" Aria replied.
"Of course you are, this ball is because we all are reunited, you come in the all section Ari, now come on" Klaus said, dragging Aria up the stairs despite her protest.
"I hate you" Aria whispered into Klaus's ear, hating having all the eyes on her.
"Relax, it's a short speech, you will survive" Klaus whispered back.
"Welcome, thanks for joining us" Elijah spoke, "You know, whenever we bring our family together like this it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance, tonight's pick is a centuries old waltz, so if all of you could find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom".
After Elijah finished the speech, Aria quickly walked down the stairs, no longer wanting people's eyes on her, in doing so, she bumped right into Damon.
"Careful Ria" Damon said, steadying the witch.
"Sorry" Aria apologised, a sheepish look on her face, "I hated being up there".
"I could tell" Damon said, he then forwarded his hand towards Aria, "You know, it would be rude not to dance".
Aria smiled at Damon then placed her hand in his, "It is our tradition".
"Yes it is" Damon said, leading Aria into the ballroom, while a slightly upset Kol watched on.
"Did I mention you look absolutely stunning?" Damon asked, leading the Connor girl with each beat of the song.
Aria chuckled, "Yes you have, but that doesn't mean you can't say it again".
Damon smiled, he span Aria around and pulled her into his arms, they intertwined their hands as they went around in a circle.
"I'm glad you came" Klaus told Caroline, while dancing with her.
"Well, the big bad wolf invited me" Caroline teased, "I had to come, plus it was either this or caviar and sympathy casseroles".
"I heard about your father" Klaus started.
"Don't" Caroline interrupted, "Please, don't"
"Very well" Klaus said, "Onto more mannered subjects then, like how ravishing you look in that dress".
"I didn't really have time to shop" Caroline said.
"The bracelet I gave you? What's your excuse for wearing that?" Klaus asked.
"I like it" Caroline replied, making Klaus smile, "That's the excuse".
"You know, you're quite the dance" Klaus praised.
"Well, I've had training" Caroline said, a proud expression on her face, "I happen to be Miss Mystic Falls".
"I know" Klaus said.
Aria and Damon pull apart, hands still touching, when Damon spun Aria towards her next partner, Kol Mikaelson.
Kol instantly wrapped his hand around the witch and pulled her closer.
"He dances" Aria said, gasping jokingly.
"Only with you" Kol said, making Aria smile.
"You're a liar, I saw you dancing with that girl" Aria said.
"Well, she asked, unlike someone" Kol joked.
Aria and Kol laughed and danced around the ballroom, while a frowning Damon danced with Rebekah but his eyes on the two.
"You're being creepy" Rebekah commented.
"They look so happy together" Damon said.
"Of course they do, they are Kol and Ariana, they are always happy with each other" Rebekah said, making Damon frown.
"If that was you helping, you failed" Damon said.
Rebekah sighed, "Look Damon, Aria and Kol have a history that you and Aria don't have, but you need to remember that Aria loves you, she's in a relationship with you, don't let your insecurity regarding my brother come between you both".
"For a blonde, you do give good advice" Damon teased.
"Should I be offended?" Rebekah asked.
Damon shrugged, "Your choice".

"Where's your date?" Kol asked his sister.
"Getting us drinks" Rebekah replied, "Where's Aria?".
Kol sighed, "She went to look for Damon".
"You're jealous" Rebekah noted.
"Of course I'm jealous" Kol said, "But I can't do anything about it, just can curse my fate".
"So you're not going to try come between Damon and Aria?" Rebekah asked.
"No" Kol replied, "I just want her to be happy, I don't care if it's with me or that Salvatore, I just want her to be happy, but saying that, I'm always going to be there for her, I've just got her back, I don't plan on letting her leave my life anytime soon".
Rebekah smiled, "Who knew my ripper brother could be reasonable".
"Only when it comes to Ariana" Kol said.
Rebekah smiled at his brother, but frowned when her eyes landed on the younger Salvatore.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Rebekah asked, "I know for a fact he wasn't invited".
"Whose that again?" Kol asked confused.
"Stefan Salvatore" Rebekah replied.
"The one who hurt Ri?" Kol asked.
"Yeap" Rebekah replied.
"Interesting" Kol said, taking a sip of his champagne.
"I know that look, that's your I'm going to cause trouble look" Rebekah said.
Kol shrugged, "If I do something, you will know".
Rebekah glanced between Stefan and Kol, she for a fact knew that Kol wasn't going to leave Stefan for hurting Aria, and Rebekah was all for it.

Elena knocked on the Bennett front door.
Abby opened the door and smiled at Elena, "Esther's in Bonnie's room waiting for you".
"You wanted to see me?" Elena asked Esther, entering Bonnie's room.
"You must have a million questions for me, Elena, please" Esther encouraged.
"How are you alive?" Elena asked, "Are you a ghost, or--?".
"Not exactly" Esther replied, "When I died, the witch Ayana preserved my body with a spell, she was a close friend of mine, though she was furious at me for what I did to Ariana, she couldn't let my sons kill me, she was an ancestor of your friend Bonnie".
"So that's why only Bonnie and her mother could open up the casket?" Elena asked.
"They complete the Bennett bloodline" Esther replied, "I drew power from them and their ancestors with me on the other side".
"So you've been on the other side for a thousand years?" Elena asked.
"Nature's way of punishing me for not only turning my family into vampire, but for also killing Ariana" Esther replied, "The Connor bloodline is a pure bloodline, killing them always has horrible consequences, but I'm ready for the punishment, I just need to undo the evil I created, so did you bring it?".
Elena nodded, she pulled out Aria's mother ring, the same ring she gave to Aria on homecoming, but when Bonnie knocked her out, she dropped the ring and Elena took it, she was planning to give it to Aria once they killed Klaus as a peace offering, but that never happened.
"This is Amelia Connor's ring, Aria's mother, I couldn't get anything that directly belonged to Aria" Elena said.
"This will do" Esther assured.
"What are you going to do?" Elena asked.
"I'm going to do a spell that's going to link Ariana with all of my children" Esther replied, "Then I'm going to give Ariana all her memories back".
"What's that going to do?" Elena asked confused.
"I'm going to channel Aria to give her memories back, the spell is very big and painful, channelling plus the pain of the spell, Ariana would not be able to survive that" Esther replied.
"Aria's going to die" Elena realised.
"It's for the greater good" Esther said, "Now tell me, are you in?".
Elena hesitated for a second, but then nodded, "I'm in".

Caroline stood outside, admiring the horse when Klaus walked over to her.
"You like horses" Klaus commented.
"Why did you invite me here?" Caroline asked suddenly, the thought bugging her since she received the invitation.
"I fancy you" Klaus admitted, making Caroline look at him in shock, "Is that so hard to believe?".
"Guys don't usually fancy me" Caroline whispered, "Not at first anyways".
"Then those guys are idiots" Klaus said, "You're beautiful, you're strong, you're full of light, I enjoy you", Caroline didn't say anything, she didn't know what to say, Klaus realising her state, turned to look at the horse, "You know, horses are the opposite of people, they're loyal, my father hunted me for a thousand years and the closest he ever came was the day he killed my favorite horse, he severed its neck with a sword as a warning".
"Did you ever consider sitting down with your father and talking it out?" Caroline asked.
"I'm afraid my relationship with my father was a little bit more complex than yours" Klaus replied.
"Maybe so, but I let my father go with no regrets" Caroline informed, "And to answer your question, yes, I like horses".
Klaus and Caroline looked at each other and smiled, then turned back and admired the horse in silence.

Elijah clinked the spoon on to his glass, gaining everyone's attention.
"Good evening everyone" Elijah said, "Waiters are coming around with some champagne, I invite everyone here to join me in raising a glass", Klaus handed Caroline a glass, while Damon handed Aria one, "It provides me with great joy to see the Mikaelson's reunited, with their humanity right by their side", Aria smiled at Elijah, "Thank you everyone for being part of this amazing evening, cheers".
"Cheers" Everyone said, lifting their glasses up in the air, and taking a sip of their respective drinks.
While drinking the champagne, Aria gasped when she felt a weird sensation go through her body.
"Ria, you okay?" Damon asked worried.
"Yeah" Aria whispered, feeling a bit weird, "I think I'm not used to drinking champagne".
"Yeah, you're used to drinking bourbon" Damon teased, making Aria lightly slap his shoulder.
"Shut up" Aria joked.

"So, what did you want to show me?" Caroline asked, as Klaus led her upstairs into his room.
"One of my passions" Klaus said, showing Caroline an artwork.
"Oh" Caroline said, looking at the artwork in awe, "Impressive, I take it the curators at the Louvre aren't on vervain?".
Klaus chuckled, "Yeah, well, that's their mistake".
"And what about these? Where did you steal this from?" Caroline joked, showing Klaus the bracelet he had gifted her.
"Well that's a long story" Klaus replied, "But rest assured it was worn by a princess almost as beautiful as you".
Caroline looked at Klaus wide eyed, not knowing what to say, she turned to look at the desk infront of her and observed all the drawings, suddenly she realised something, "Wait a second, did--? Did you do these?".
"Yeah um, actually one of my landscapes is hanging at the Hermitage not that anyone would notice" Klaus informed, impressing Caroline, "Have you been?".
"I've never really been anywhere" Caroline admitted, almost embarrassingly.
"I'll take you" Klaus said, "Wherever you want, Rome, Paris, Tokyo?".
Caroline chuckled, "Maybe one day when I'm bored of this town, I'll take you up on your offer".
"I'll wait for that day" Klaus said, giving Caroline a small smile.

"Where's Aria?" Stefan asked, walking over to Damon.
Damon didn't reply, just kept his eyes on Kol and Aria, who were too busy talking and laughing with each other to notice Damon's anger.
Stefan followed Damon's glare to see the same sight as him.
"Looks like I was right" Stefan commented, "Kol's stealing Aria from you".
"Kol isn't doing shit Stefan" Damon snapped.
"If his not, then why are you so jealous?" Stefan asked.
"I'm not having this conversation with you" Damon snapped, walking away from his brother, but his brother's next words made him stop in his spot.
"He was her first love Damon, no matter what you do, you can never forget your first love, you out of all people should know that" Stefan said, walking away from his now even more conflicted brother.

After creating doubt in his brother's mind, Stefan walked over to the balcony, unknown to what was about to happen to him.
"According to my sister you're not supposed to be here" Kol said, walking over to Stefan, "So what are you doing here?".
"This party was for all the Mystic Fall residences, something I'm included in" Stefan replied.
"Very well" Kol said, forwarding his hand for the younger Salvatore, "I don't think I've introduced myself, I'm Kol".
Stefan shook Kol's hand, "Stefan".
"I know" Kol said, before Stefan could realise, Kol had broken Stefan's hand, "You shouldn't have hurt her".
Kol kicked Stefan's knee, causing him to fall to the ground, Kol broke Stefan's leg and hanged him over the balcony, "Next time you hurt her, I won't be so easy".
Kol threw Stefan off the balcony and jumped after him, he punched him a few times then snapped his neck.
Hearing the commotion, everyone from the party came out, they were shocked seeing the scene infront of them.
"What did you do Kol?" Elijah asked.
"Taught him a lesson for hurting Aria" Kol replied.
Aria looked between Stefan and Kol, she didn't know what to do.
"Are you okay?" Aria asked Kol, figuring this was the best thing she could ask right now.
"Never been better" Kol replied, smiling at Aria.
Aria knew she couldn't just leave an unconscious Stefan here, she looked around for Damon, but frowned when there was no sign of him.
"Where are you Damon?" Aria whispered, slightly concerned.

After the whole Kol and Stefan drama, the party finally ended, and Caroline and Aria arrived back at the Forbes household, after calling Elena to pick her unconscious boyfriend up.
"Why are you not with Damon again?" Caroline asked curiously.
Aria sighed, "I don't know where he disappeared to".
"Is everything okay between you two?" Caroline asked.
"I think so" Aria replied.
"You think so?" Caroline asked, "That's not very convincing".
"I don't know what's happening Care, we were fine, then suddenly after the dinner with the Mikaelson's, Damon started acting weird, he started distancing himself from me" Aria said, "He thinks I haven't noticed but I have".
"Have you tried talking to him about it?" Caroline asked.
"No" Aria admitted, "I haven't really gotten time".
"Well you need to find time Aria" Caroline said, "Otherwise this small distance might turn into something bigger".
"I know Care, trust me, I do" Aria said, "I tried to talk to him today but he just disappeared, I'll talk to him tomorrow, right now I'm going to the kitchen I'm hungry".
"You ate so much and your still hungry?" Caroline asked, not even surprised.
"I hardly ate Care" Aria replied, walking into the kitchen.
Caroline shook her head at her best friend and went into her room, where a small box wrapped in a white ribbon was placed on her bed.
Opening it up, she was met with a rolled up a paper, opening the paper, Caroline saw an amazing hand drawn picture of her and a horse, on the corner of the picture was a message for her.
Waiting for that one day, Klaus.

So this chapter is one week late, I'm so sorry, Uni has been hectic and I had back to back assignments but I'm finally free so except a few more updates in the next one or two days.
Anyways, Kol has just arrived and things are already getting tense between Damon and Aria, what does the future hold for our favourite couple?
