Meanwhile in New Orleans....
Kol's pov
I was walking through the French quarter, Davina was at the bayou with her pack as that's the only place Klaus allows her and Hayley to go too although he still doesn't particularly like them leaving the house which I know both girls are getting increasingly annoyed about so I made a silent promise to myself that I will take Davina out sometime and take her out of New Orleans to travel and show her the world.
I plan to take her somewhere before the baby's born, just me and her alone with no interruptions meaning no siblings, no werewolves, no witches and no drama.
I come across a little street market and just casually walk down the street, scanning over each stall when I stop at one stall that sells unique looking jewellery. Perhaps I can get Davina a gift for carrying my child after all it was a tradition back in the viking days.
When a woman was with child, the man would give her a gift as a blessing or thank you for bearing their child. They'd also give them another gift once the baby was born but only if the baby was born healthy because sometimes there was a chance of a baby dying in childbirth and it did happen a lot. If the woman had given birth to a healthy baby with a beating heart, the man would give her a gift as a token of his appreciation for successfully bringing his child into the world.
I kind of want to keep up with that tradition and show Davina my gratitude for carrying my baby but also because I want to spoil her and make her feel like a Queen. Which was another thing back in the viking days, the men would cherish their women and treat them like queens well except for my father.
I don't think my father even loved my mother, I imagine he probably only married her because she was pretty and she was a witch so she was a power grab for him. I can't remember a single time where I caught him treating her like a husband should treat their wife, I only ever remember him scowling at her or not saying a thing but she wasn't any better. She didn't really show him much affection and most of the time stayed out of his way because of how much of a violent brute he was.
With a marriage like theirs it makes you wonder how they stayed together and how they made it work but then again they went and had six kids together so things were obviously alright somewhere. Of course my mother went and spread her legs for another man because father was so cold towards her and was away most of the time fighting in battles and that's how Niklaus was born.
I crinkle my nose in disgust at the thought of my parents, I shouldn't even call them that because they weren't good parents at all.
I don't want to be like them, I don't want to be like my father. I'm going to be better, I'm going to treat the mother of my child like a Queen and I'm gonna make her feel like she's the only girl in the world and I'm gonna love my child with every bone in my body.
"Excuse me mate? I'm looking for a gift for someone" I say getting the stall owners attention "ah and who's this someone?" he asks "my girl, she's pregnant and I want to get her a gift to show her how much I appreciate her" I respond and he smiles. "Ah I know just the thing" he says turning around and I watch as he goes behind the back of his stall and picks up some wooden brown box.
He opens the box and slides it towards me showing me multiple necklaces all different and unique "take your pick" he said as I started looking through the box, scanning over each necklace.

Davina's pov
I had finished having lunch with my aunt and was making my way through the bayou when Will came up to me "hey Davina" he says as he comes to stand "hey Will" I say as I keep on walking. "How are you doing today?" he asks "I'm doing good, thank you" I respond "so I was wondering what are you going to do with the baby when it's born?" he asks making me stop and turn to him.
"I'm sorry what do you mean by what am I going to do with the baby when it's born?" I ask a little confused "well your baby is part vampire, it will not fit in with the pack and I can't be a step-dad" he says making me raise an eyebrow.
"Okay I'm gonna stop you right there my baby is part of this pack whether you like it or not and I don't know why you have it in your head that we're going to get married because we're not so you will not be me my baby's step-dad. My baby has a father and doesn't need another!" I snap making him frown and step back.
"But we're betrothed to each other" he says making me roll my eyes "that was before my parents were betrayed and killed and even if the deal was still void, I would not marry you Will. I've already made this perfectly clear to you Will, but you seem to not listen and are seemingly pretty insistent on us being wed. I'm sorry if you have this exception of us getting married but it's not going to happen so you need to get over it!" I snap feeling very frustrated with him for not taking a hint or listening to me.
He scowls "no! You're meant to be my wife and you will be!" he snaps slamming me up against a tree making me yelp. "You will be mine even if I have to kill your baby and get Kol out of the picture!" he sneers and I feel something bubble up inside me before he's suddenly flung back before I could do anything.
I look around and see nothing before looking at my baby bump "was that you jelly bean?" I ask with a hand on my belly, feeling butterflies go off in my stomach. I snap my head towards Will who is getting up and I glare at him "you! Never touch me or threaten my baby again!" I snap marching forward and punching him in the face
I hear a crack as my fist meets his face "if you ever lay a hand on me or mutter a single threat to my baby or Kol I will see to it that you are punished and exiled from the pack, I may even have you killed" I seethe before giving him another punch in the face and kneeing him in the balls making him fall to his knees.
"You are a bitch just like your mother was" he sneers making my blood boil and I punch him in the face "never speak of my mother!" I snap "Davina what happened?!" Aunt Kayla asks as she hurries over. "Will slammed me against a tree and threatened my baby. He still has it in his head that I'm going to marry him and he called my mother a bitch" I explain as I kick Will in the stomach.
Aunt Kayla gently pulls me away from him before yanking him up "I warned you to stay clear of my niece and I told you that the marriage deal was void. It's not going to happen so you need to accept it!" she snaps slapping him across the face.
"Kayla?" Jackson says as he walks over "Jackson take your cousin away, he put his hands on Davina and threatened her baby. He will be exiled from the pack" Aunt Kayla explains shoving Will towards him. "Will I told you not to do anything stupid" Jackson scolds "I don't see you doing anything to woo your betrothed, you're letting Elijah win your woman" Will seethes making my blood boil.
"Hayley is no one's woman, we are not someone's objects to win you sexist pig!" I snap going to lunge at him but I'm held back by a familiar strong pair of arms "easy love" Kol whispers in my ear making me relax against him. "Oh look who it is, the bride snatcher" Will sneers "bride snatcher? What are you 5?" I retort with a snicker. "I didn't steal anyone's bride, Davina is not yours nor will she ever be" Kol says rubbing my back "he threatened our baby Kol" I say making him stiffen.
"You what?!" Kol snaps looking to Will who suddenly looks like he's about to shit himself "it was a joke" Will retorts "that's odd because I thought a joke was suppose to be funny and threatening a baby is not a joke" Kol snarls "the baby should've never happened, that baby ruined everything, Davina should and will be mine!" Will yelled "Jackson take him to the brig!" I order the brig is the packs version of a prison, if a member of the pack has done something wrong to the pack or betrayed them, they are sent to a deep pit in the ground which has a hatch on the top to stop them getting out, they are also chained while in the pit.
Jackson nods and begins to drag Will away but he shrugs him off and lunges towards me but Kol vamp speeds in front of me and grabs him by the throat and slams him down onto the ground, pinning him down by the neck. "if you ever go near Davina or think to touch her or harm her or our baby in any way shape or form, I will hunt you down and I will rip you apart limb by limb and make you suffer in ways you cannot imagine until you are begging me to kill you" Kol snarls tightening his grip on Will's neck making him gasp for air.
"Do I make myself clear?" he asks "y-yes" Will sputters before Kol lets go of his neck and stands up. Will scrambles to his feet, rubbing his throat as Jackson grabs him by the arm as does Aunt Kayla and they escort him away to take him to the brig.
Kol slips an arm around my waist, pulling me to his side "come on love, let's get you home" he says as he escorts me away and we leave the bayou.
....
We arrive back at the house and we head up upstairs, I go to head to my room but Kol stops me grabbing my arm and pulling me to his room. "I have something for you" he says as we step into the room "what is it?" I ask as I sit down on the edge of the bed.
He pulls out a small bag from the inside of his leather jacket before shrugging the jacket off his shoulders and hanging it up. "So I was out in the French quarter and I saw something which made me think of you" he says as he takes something out of the bag which is wrapped up in a pink paper.
"Okay" I say watching as he unwraps the item revealing a back velvet pouch which he opens and I gasp as he pulls out a beautiful necklace which has a rustic bronze chain and a beautiful purple stone. "Oh my" I gasp as he holds it up "the guy who sold me it said it was rumoured to have belonged to a princess and I thought I know a girl who this necklace would be perfect for" he says looking into my eyes as he clasps it around my neck.

"Kol it's beautiful but you didn't have to get me this" I say as I look at the necklace admiring the purple stone. "I wanted too and I saw it as my chance to show my appreciation to you" he responds making me look at him "your appreciation?" I ask with a raise eyebrow "yes I appreciate you for all you're doing, for carrying my child and putting up with my families drama and enemies" he says making me smile.
"Back in the viking days it was customary for the man to give the woman carrying his child a gift as a token of thanks and appreciation for carrying their child" Kol explains and I smile "well I accept your gift, it's beautiful" I say "not as beautiful as the girl who's wearing it" he replies making me blush so I look down.
"Kol!" Klaus yells from downstairs making us get up and make our way to the top of the stairs "what do you want Nik?" Kol asks "I have good news, I have formed an alliance with Marcel there will be no more going behind his back. Marcel is an alley now and not the enemy, he will be bringing Monique with him" he explains "why is he bringing the witch?" Kol asks "because we need her, she's powerful so I'd like her on our side" he explains making me scoff.
"Nik you have got to be joking. I don't trust that witch from the things Rebekah has told me about her" Kol says "well tough luck because she's coming here and you will just have to deal with it" Klaus replies before walking out the house. "Darling how would you feel about getting out of this city for a little while?" Kol asks looking at me "I would love that" I respond making him smile "good because we're going on a little road trip so pack your things, we leave in an hour" he says cupping my cheek "okay" I say feeling my heart race at his touch.
He smiles and pulls his hand away before walking away and I just watch him while fiddling with the necklace he bought me.

1 hour later....
Kol's pov
Me and Davina each have a bag packed ready to go on a road trip, after the commotion with Will and then hearing Klaus say he's bringing some bratty witch to live with us, I decided that's enough and I need to get out of this city for a little while before I start tearing my hair out. I'm of course taking Davina with me as I don't trust her with my brother nor do I trust to leave her alone with this witch who I get a very bad feeling about and I will not put Davina or our baby at risk.
"Kol you ready?" Davina asks from the doorway making me look at her "yes love, come on let's go" I respond grabbing my duffel bag and walking over to her. I place my other hand on the small of her back as I lead her out the room.
"Where are you going brother?" Klaus asks as he steps through the door with a young girl with dark hair and olive like skin. Her gaze is cold and she has her nose turned up as her cold gaze pierces through me "we are going away for a little while. It's too much stress for Davina and if you have any regard for Hayley you will stop making problems and bringing problems to us" I say staring down Monique with a glare letting her know I don't trust her before I walk out the door with Davina.

Aww Kol brought Davina a gift. Davina had some trouble with Will who still has it in his head that he and Davina will marry and he lost it when she said they wouldn't. Kol gave Will a warning but will he listen? Klaus has apparently solved things with Marcel and now has possession of Monique. Kol doesn't like this so he has decided to take Davina away from the city for a while. What will happen next?
