Both Zora and Kirito had just logged into GGO and saw the screen that shows they still got 1 hour before the tournament started and the two of them made their way to the Governor General office.
Kirito: The first time Death Gun showed up, was after the second Bullet of Bullets.
Zora: And both of the murders he committed happened in front of witnesses. I don't see anyone registers as Death Gun on the screen.
Kirito: But if he wants to stage another murder, BoB's perfect. He'll be there...
Zora: Then let's get moving! We need to find the name of Death Gun's avatar and stopped him...
Kirito: Yeah...
(Timeskip)
After the two of them met up with Sinon, the three of them were at the terminal and both Zora and Kirito were trying to get Sinon's attention, but she was ignoring them.
Zora: Hey, Sinon...
Kirito: Sinon?
Zora: Hello...anyone home...come...
Sinon: Shut up! I thought I made it clear I was done talking with you both! God what else do you guys want from me?
Zora: Nothing...
Kirito: But now that you mention it, maybe we could swap some info before this starts...?
Sinon looked at both Zora and Kirito annoyed and the two of them just smile awkwardly.
Zora: Please...for all time sake...
Sinon just looked at them and sighed.
Sinon: Fine...whatever. I'll do it, even though I'm going to be one giving all the info!
Zora: No, Th-That's not what we had in mind...
Kirito: We got stuff to share too...is not a lot, but still...
Zora, Kirito and Sinon then headed to where the waiting room, and saw it was full of players.
Kirito: This is crazy...
Sinon: Yeah, the finals is like one big party!
Zora: You don't say...
Zora and Sinon started to walk past different players with Kirito behind them and they could heard players talking about them.
Player 1: Hey look! It's Kirito! She slice up people good with that Photon Sword!
Player 2: Oh, a hot berserker with a blade!
Player 3: Sinon's more my type, brother!
Player 1: I wouldn't mind getting a bullet from Sinon!
Player 2: I rather get slashed!
Player 1: Then go play ALO with the fairies!
Player 3: Oh don't forget, Zora?!
Player 2: But he's a dude!
Player 3: I know, but look at him! He's with the both of them...
Player 1: You don't think...?
Player 2: Man...talk about the luckiest person ever...
Zora just rolled his eyes and Kirito looked at them annoyed and he suddenly bumped into some players.
Kirito: Oh, sorry...
The players looked at Kirito surprised and let him through, and after that he stopped and looked at them.
Kirito: Hey guys...
Kirito then did a pose and use his girl voice at the players and they were all charmed by her beauty.
Kirito(girl voice): Hope you all root for me!
The players started rooting for Kirito and both, Zora and Sinon looked at him with a deadpan looked.
Sinon: What the hell is wrong with your friend?
Zora: He's an idiot! And like to flirt with anyone! Come here you!
Zora then pinch Kirito's ear and pulled him away from the players, even though they all protested to let Kirito go and all three of them sat at a table.
Kirito: That hurt, Zora!
Zora: Oh shut it! We're not here for you to flirt with other guys!
Zora and Kirito then looked at Sinon.
Kirito: Okay, so 30 players got dropped randomly across the same map. And then you go find whoever's around and shoot them. And the winner is whoever the last one standing?
Sinon looked at them annoyed.
Sinon: See? I knew it...your gonna make me explain the whole damn thing to you after all! Don'y you guys have email? The admins sent the rules out so it should be sitting in your inbox.
Zora: Don't worry I read it. This thing a battle royal between 30 players on the same map. Start point are random and players are dropped about a thousand meters away from each other. Am I right?
Sinon: Exactly! At least you got the gist of it!
Kirito: So this is one huge map, huh?
Sinon: Honestly, you didn't read the email, didn't you? It's a multi stage arena, 10 kilometers and diameters. It's got mountain, forest, and deserts. The start time is afternoon, so there is no advantage or disadvantage in terms of gear and skills.
Kirito: How can you find anyone in a field that big?
Sinon: That makes it challenging, it's a game of gun fights, remember? Anyway, players get an item to track other players, it's called a satellite scan terminal. It passes over the head every 15 minute, it scans the arena and then transmit the coordinates of all the players directly to your terminal. Neat huh...
Zora: So basically, you can only hide in one place for 15 minutes.
Sinon: You catch on quick.
Zora: But then, doesn't all that moving around put a sniper at a disadvantage?
Sinon: 15 minutes is more than enough time for a sniper to do their job. I fire, I kill my target, I move on.
Kirito: Yeah I guess...
Sinon: So we good here? Great, next time we see each other, I'll kick both of your ass!
Zora: No wait, hold on!
Sinon then stood up and walked away, but Zora quickly stop her by grabbing her scarf.
Sinon: Is there something else?
Zora: Yes, it's what really I wanted to talk about! Please...
Sinon just sighed and sat down and Zora pulled down his menu and pull up the players that are competing in the BoB.
Zora: Could you take a look at this list! Out of all the BoB contestant, are their any first timers whose name you don't recognize?
Sinon looked at Zora confused.
Sinon: Okay? That's weird?
Kirito: Please. Look it and tell us! It's important!
Sinon looked at both Zora and Kirito and saw how serious they were and sighed.
Sinon: Well, if that's all you want to know, I guess it's cool...
Sinon started to looked at the list.
Sinon: The first timers I don't know...besides a certain loser with a Photon Sword, and his annoying perverted trap, are three names.
Zora: That's great! Who, please pointed out?!
Zora and Kirito got closer to Sinon and looked at the list and Sinon pointed the three players.
Sinon: Gunner X, Pale Rider, and...this guy...Sterben?
Zora and Kirito narrow their eyes and looked at each other and nodded their head.
Zora(mind): Is one of them Death Gun?
Sinon: Are you guys gonna tell me what this is about? Or are you gonna keep me in the dark?
Zora:...
Kirito:...
Sinon: Getting ready to blow a fuse over here. Come on! Speak up! I swear if your trying to make me messed up today by pissing me off I'm gonna...
Zora: No that's not it. It's just that...
Zora then gripped his hand tightly and looked down.
Sinon: Does it have anything to do with why your acting weird yesterday? After the Prelims...
Zora: Yeah, it does. Yesterday, this person we once played against in another VR MMO came up to me.
Kirito: And we're pretty sure one of the names you pointed out is him.
Sinon: Is he a friend?
Zora: No...an enemy, I can't remember his name though. And we try to kill each other...
Sino looked Zora confused and Kirito looked at him concerned.
Sinon: Kill each other? For real? Was it, like an argument with someone in your party? Something like that...
Zora: No. It wasn't that. We don't kill someone over an argument. We honestly try to take each other's life...Him and his group...did horrible things...things like murderer...they were to far gone...and the only way to stop them was by force. I don't regret what I did, but still...
Zora clinched his hand tightly.
Zora: I avoided taking responsibility for it...I force myself to forget it even happen. For me, there's no more running away, and this time I had to face what I did, head on.
Zora then looked at Sinon.
Zora: Sorry to unload you like that. Just forget it...
Sinon: Do you think you could still pull the trigger though?
Both Zora and Kirito looked at Sinon surprised.
Sinon: Zora, Kirito, what's the name of the game you met this guy in?
Zora:...
Kirito:...
Sinon: Sorry, never mind, that's personal.
Kirito: No, that's okay...
Sinon: Zora...Kirito...
Zora: Sinon?
Sinon: We should start heading to the waiting dome now, we have to check our gear. And get ourselves psyched up for this battle.
Kirito: Yeah, sure...
Zora, Kirito and Sinon made their way to the elevator to head to the standby dome and Kirito was about to head out.
Zora: Good luck on your side...
Kirito: Thanks, you as well...
Kirito then head to his dome and both Zora and Sinon was still at the elevator and as they were riding up, Sinon walked up to Zora and pointed her hand at Zora's back.
Sinon: I know you guys got your reason here, just like me. But, this got nothing to do with that promise you made. I got to pay you back for what happened in yesterday final, got it?! You owe me a fight, so you better stay alive!
Zora: Roger that! I'll promise I'll survive and give you the fight you want. I will only die, by your bullets alone.
Sinon: Thanks...

After Zora and Sinon went their separate ways, all three of them standby on their domes and after waiting for a few minutes, they all got teleported to the map and the Bullet of Bullet 3 tournament had finally started and everyone all around GGO who were watching started cheering and Zora was teleported to the mountain.
Zora: Alright, let's do this!
Zora started to run through the mountains, and as he was running, he saw two players firing their shots at him and Zora pulled out his Photon Sword and hand gun and started deflecting their shots.
Player 1: Holy crap!
Zora continues to deflect their bullets while rushing in and thrust his swords at the players killing them.
Zora: Where are you, Death Gun?! If I'm gonna find him, I need to catch him by surprised.
Zora check his watch and saw that it was almost 15 minutes.
Zora(mind): Alright, almost 15 minutes have passed. The Satellite scan is coming.
Zora then saw the river and unequipped his gear and jumped in and and looked at the scan and saw that he wasn't on the map.
Zora: Alright, it work. Let see, 21 players still in play.
Zora then saw Kirito was on the deserted town along with Gunner X and saw Pale Rider was near him.
Zora: Alright, Kirito's got Gunner X. And I got Pale Rider, I need to catch on to him...
Zora then got out of the water and equipped his gear and started to make his way to Pale Rider, and he reached the top of the mountain and got into prone and got his scope and looked at the players.
Zora: The one in brown is Dyne, and the one on the other side is Pale Rider...now let see how this play's out...
Zora then saw Sinon below him with her sniper ready to fire.
Zora(mind): Not Good...
Zora then jumped down from the top of his perch and Sinon realized someone was behind her and she pulled out her hand gun.
Sinon: Who's there?
Sinon's hand were slapped away and she was pinned to the ground and she saw it was Zora.
Zora: Shh! Keep it down! I need a favor.
Sinon: Are you kidding?! It's to late for any more favors! One of us dies right now!
Zora: Stop it! I don't want those guys to know we're here!
Sinon: What are you up to?
Zora: I want to watch what happen on that bridge. So don't shoot!
Sinon: Okay, then what?
Zora: That depends, but I'm not here for you. I'll leave after, I promise.
Sinon: The minute you turn your back, I'll blow you away!
Zora: If that's what you want then fine. But for now, just stay quite!
Sinon: Alright, but after their done down there, it's you and me!
Zora: Okay, you got it...
Sinon then lower her guard and Zora let go of her and pulled out his scope to watch the fight.
Sinon: You should be a little bit more vigilant.
Sinon put her hand gun away and looked at her sniper scope.
Sinon: I'm not letting him leave the area alive, if he makes a move I'm taking the shot!
Zora: He's all yours. Wait look...
Zora and Sinon both looked and saw a player across the bridge in white outfits and a helmet on his head walking towards Dyne,
and Dyne tried to shoot him, but Pale Rider effortlessly dodge his shots and got in close and killed Dyne.
Sinon: His acrobatic and speed is almost as fast as you. If only Dyne had time to switch magazines, he could have shot from the hip and killed them easy.
Zora: That Pale Rider guy is quick and powerful. Maybe he's the one in the cloak?
Sinon looked at Zora and looked back at her scope.
Sinon: I'm taking him out.
Zora: Okay, but it won't be easy if he's who I think...
Sinon: Oh please, he can't dodge my bullet at these range.
As the two of the were looking at Pale Rider, Sinon was about to take her shot when Pale Rider was shot from the side and they looked completely shocked.
Sinon: Did you hear a gunshot?
Zora: No, there wasn't one. What the hell is going on...?
Sinon: Two possibilities, it could have bean a laser riffle with a muffle blast. Or maybe a live-ammo gun with a silencer...either way, it wasn't a kill shot. So why isn't he moving?
Zora: I think the shot came from the forest...
Sinon: No, no. He was sniped from further away from that. I did a scan in the map not to long ago. There is no one within one kilometer. And now that we're on the subject, you mind telling me where you came from?
Zora: I was chasing after that Pale Rider...and I was at the river when the Satellite came to avoid it.
Sinon: With all that gear, you should've drown?
Zora: I took it all off, before I dove in. Stick them in my item storage.
Sinon: I never knew we can use the river for cover from the Satellite, thanks for the tip. I'll keep it in mind.
Zora: Sinon, check out his shoulder! There is a weird light effect there.
Sinon then looked and saw an electric dart in his shoulder.
Sinon: A stun bullet?
Zora: Oh my God! Look, at the corner of the bridge!
Sinon looked over and her eyes widened along with Zora when they saw Death Gun.
Zora: How long has he been there?
Death Gun then walked to where Pale Rider was and Sinon looked at his Riffle and she looked completely shocked.
Sinon: His got a Silent Assassin!
Zora: Is that the name of that Rifle?
Sinon: Yeah...it's a high sniper rifle that's got a badass Silencer on it. I heard rumors about they're being one in GGO, but I never seen it before. If he can handle that Gun, he must be some player.
Death gun then stood in front of Pale Rider and pulled out a hand gun and aimed it at Pale Rider.
Zora:...
Sinon: Why would he used his hand gun to finish him off?
Death Gun then did his cross hand sign before Zora spoke up to Sinon panicked.
Zora: Sinon...shoot!
Sinon: Huh? Which on?
Zora: Is the guy in the cloak! There's no time, shoot him! Hurry! Don't let him fire that gun!
Back at ALO, everyone's is in the waiting room they rented in Yggdrasil City to watch Zora and Kirito's match in BoB.
Leafa: Where is Big Brother Kazuto and Big Bro Sora? They should have shown up by now...
Silica: Maybe they don't have the battles on the feed yet. Knowing Kirito and Zora, we should have seen them running around blazing from the start.
Klien: I don't know about, Kirito. Since he is one of the craftiest player I've ever met. He's probably laying low somewhere for the competitors to kill each other off. But Zora is one cocky bastard, and loves to take down his enemies without even them noticing.
Leafa: Cocky Bastard, eh? I'm so telling him about this!
Klien: No please don't!
Asuna: Oh please, you and I both know, Kirito doesn't play like that.
Philia: And I know Zora wouldn't hide in the shadow and sneak in to kill his opponent, isn't that right girl?
Yui: Absolutely!
Rio: Papa and Uncle is fast, I doubt they'll show up on camera.
Liz: They can't do it any other way. I mean it's a game with guns, but they're using a swords!
They all started laughing and continued to watch the fight between Pale Rider and Dyne and saw Pale Rider easily killed him.
Philia: Amazing...
Asuna: He's super fast...
Liz: I'm sure he's one of the front-runners.
They all then saw Pale Rider got shot from the shoulder and they looked surprised.
Klien: Looks like your boys full of suck Liz!
Liz: Shut up! He's not out of it yet!
Everyone then saw the dart in his shoulder.
Philia: What could that be?
Silica: What happen to him?
Yui: Is some kind of paralysis attack, most likely temporarily.
Leafa: Is like he was hit with that wind spell "Thunder Web".
As they continued to watch, they then saw Death Gun enter the screen and they all jumped back surprised.
And back with Zora and Sinon, Zora was telling her to fire her shots at Death Gun.
Zora: Is the guy in the cloak! There's no time...shoot him! Hurry! Don't let him fire that gun!
Sinon then aimed at Death Gun and fired her shot, but he dodge her shots and he dodge it and both Zora and Sinon looked completely shocked
Sinon: What...?! Oh crap...he knew I was here.
Zora: No way...
Sinon: He must've spot me earlier, got my position from the last scan.
Zora then saw Death Gun aimed his hand gun at Pale Rider and shoot him, and Pale Rider got up and aimed his laser rifle at Death Gun, but he dropped it and started holding his chest in pain and fell to the ground and got disconnected and they looked completely shocked.
Zora: No!
Sinon: Jesus, what was that?
Back at ALO, everyone watched that Pale Rider got disconnected and they looked completely shocked and Death Gun aimed his gun at the camera.
Death Gun: Death Gun is my name, and the name of this gun! One day, I'll pay you all a visit too, and bring real death. With this gun, you've seen my power, it is real. This isn't over...not yet...I'm just getting started...
Death Gun: It's Showtime!
Everyone looked confused, until they heard a glass break and saw Philia had dropped her juice and Klien dropped his Alcohol and they say Philia's eyes widened completely and utterly horrified and Klien was completely and utterly shocked.
Liz: Way the hell to scared the hell out of everyone.
Leafa: What's wrong Philia?
Klien: You gotta be kidding me.
Philia: No way...he can't...please...tell me it's not him...
Asuna: You guys know him too? Do you remember his name?
Klien: N-No, I forget the named he used back then. But it's him alright...there's no doubt about it.
Philia: He's a Laughing Coffin member...
Everyone then looked completely and utterly shocked.
Asuna: Laughing Coffin...was he their Leader...the knife wielder...? The one that kill Big Sister Rumia?
Klien: No, I'm pretty sure is not PoH. Something about the way this guy talked and acts is different. Except for that "Showtime" line though. PoH was the only who said that...but this guy, he was close to PoH, I'm talking right hand man close.
Both Philia and Asuna looked at the screen concerned.
Philia: Zora...
Asuna: Kirito...
Back with Zora and Sinon, the two of them were still looking at Death Gun.
Zora: It's him alright...that guy...he's Death Gun.
Sinon: Death Gun? Your joking? You means those rumors about players getting shot and disappearing, that's all true?
Zora: They are. I don't how he does it, but he's been killing players in the real world.
Sinon: That's insane!
Zora: It's not! Two people have been confirmed death!
Sinon looked at Zora with disbelieve and Zora saw Death Gun walked away and vanished from the bridge.
Zora: Where'd he go?! Is he not coming back out?!
Sinon: Zora, watch the bridge for a sec, I'm gonna check the scan and see his name.
Zora: It's gotta be Sterben. Because Kirito got Gunner X at the other side of the map.
Sinon then went to check the scan, but couldn't find Death Gun.
Sinon: Huh? Where is he? Could he have move that fast?
Zora: No, check for Gunner X! Where is he?
Sinon then search for Gunner X, but wasn't there as well.
Sinon: He's not here either...
Zora: Then Kirito!
Sinon: Looks like he's still at the town.
Zora: Damn it...
Sinon: This is our chance...
Zora: For what?
Sinon: Your pal at the cloak isn't showing up on the terminal. My guess is, he jumped in the river. If I'm right, then he had to disable his gear like you did.
Zora: But what about his hand gun? He can still move underwater with that equip right?
Sinon: Even if he could, it's just one little hand gun. I can take him out easy with my Hecate...
Zora then grabbed Sinon's hand.
Zora: You can't! You saw what happened. He used that gun to kill Pale Rider! All it take is one shot, just one shot and your dead for real!
Sinon: Yeah well, I'm not buying it. How is it even possible...I mean a player killing people IRL.
Zora: I know it sounds crazy, but it's the truth. This Death Gun kill a lot of people in that VR MMO I was in. When he used his sword on someone, he knew he was really killing him. But he didn't hesitate at all. And...so did I...
Sinon: There's a killer, a murderer in GGO?
Zora saw Sinon was in thought and Zora shook her to get her attention and she looked at him.
Sinon: I'm alright. Just a little freaked out. Anyway, I'm still not convince what you told me is possible. But, I don't think your lying to me about it either.
Zora: That's good enough. I can't ask for more.
Sinon: Anyway, we better get out of the area asap. The others know we're here by now. They think we'll be busy fighting each other, so they'll be closing in soon.
Zora: You got a point. We'll split up here then.
Sinon: Wait, what are you gonna do?
Zora: I'm going after Death Gun. Whatever you do, stay away from him as far as possible!
Sinon: But...
Zora: I'll keep my promise. Next time we see each other, I'll give you the fight I owe you. And one more thing, thanks for hearing me out just now instead of shooting me!
Zora then jumped off the perch he was in and head down, leaving Sinon.
Sinon: Hey!
As Zora was running, he heard Sinon calling out to him and saw that she was chasing him.
Sinon: Wait for me! I'm coming with you.
Zora: I'm sorry! Did I hear you right?!
Sinon: You heard me! That Death Gun seems pretty tough, and if he kills you, you won't be able to fight me.
Zora: I don't think you...
Sinon: Look, I'm not a fan of teaming up either, but I think we stand a better chance of killing that guy, if we work together...
Zora: No...I'm not cool with that...is to dangerous.
Sinon: We don't have any idea where he'll pop out next, so it will be dangerous wether we're together or not!
Zora just looked at Sinon and sighed and nodded his head.
Zora: Alright...
Sinon nodded her head and saw Zora quickly draw his Photon Sword which surprised her a bit and Zora turned around and saw a player snuck up on them and the player started firing his gun at them, but Zora deflected every single bullet, protecting Sinon along with it and the player looked completely shocked.
Player: No way!
Zora: Then let's start our new partnership by taking that joker first. I'll blocks his bullets, you wait for an opening!
Sinon nodded her head and got into prone with her sniper.
Sinon: Roger that.
The player reloaded his gun and started firing at them again, and Zora started to deflect the bullets again and Sinon looked at him amazed and after Zora blocked the last one, he looked at Sinon.
Zora: He's all yours!!
Sinon nodded her head and fire he shots at the player through the chest, killing him and she stood up and saw Zora deactivated his Photon Sword and sheathed it on his back and the to of them started walking.
Zora: Death Gun probably heading north of the river. I want to be there when he surfaces. Got any idea where he's heading, Sinon?
Sinon: I don't know if he got any other special skills, but from what I've seen he's a sniper. He's gonna avoid open space and look for a place to cover himself. If I were him, I've set myself up in that ruin of that city.
Zora: Good, luckily that's where Kirito is. And that's where the two of us are gonna go.
Sinon: On your six...
Zora and Sinon started to made their way to the ruin. And back at ALO, everyone was still surprised to find a Laughing Coffin member playing at GGO.
Klien: In SAO, we had a code, never let another player HP hits zero, no matter what. We knew, if it dropped to nothing, that player would die. Even so, Laughing Coffin didn't care, they killed dozens, no hundreds of people...including Rumia. The Assault Team need to step in...we put a party together to hunt them down, and capture them...
Leafa: And Kazuto and Sora was there with you...?
Klien: Yeah, Zora was up front going toe to toe. Everything went to hell pretty fast.
Asuna: Oh man, that's why Sora was acting so weird when I met him earlier. When I saw him this morning, he had that same emotionless look on his face.
Leafa: Maybe he was trying to set up some grudge or something?
Philia:...
Liz: Grudge? Isn't this suppose to be a part time job?
Philia then stood up and looked at the rest.
Philia: Sorry, I'm logging out for a bit. I have to get in touch with Zora's client.
Silica: Wait, he's got a client?
Philia: Yeah, he's the one who got Zora to dive into GGO, I bet he knows what's going on.
Asuna: Yui, Rio, find out anything you can about GGO.
Rio: Roger that.
Yui: You can count on us, Mama!
Philia: I'll be back in a little while! Wish me luck!
Philia then logged out of ALO and back with Zora and Sinon, they're both still heading towards the ruin city.
Sinon: Where the heck did he go? You think we might have pass him on the way over here?
Zora: No, we didn't pass him. I was keeping an eye on the river the whole time we were running.
Sinon: I see. But the river dead end is here, guess he must be lurking somewhere around the city.
Zora: Okay, listen. When his location pop up in the next scan, we'll rush him before he can kill anyone else.
Sinon: I'm done with that, but there's one problem. How will we know who Death Gun is? I mean that's not his avatar name?
Zora: Don't worry, I remember. There are 3 new players that you don't recognize. We know it's not Pale Rider, and during the first scan, I saw Gunner X a miles away from where we were before along with Kirito. But during the next scan, he was nowhere to be found. So I'm betting a high probability that his avatar name is Sterben.
Sinon: And if they're both in the city, we can't afford to pick the wrong one. Wait a sec, I just thought of something... "Gunner" Is like the "Gun" of "Death Gun". And the "X" could mean cross, like making the sign of the cross. Or maybe it's to obvious?
Zora: Maybe not. Most avatar names are simplistic, anyway. Mines a variation of my Real name. And yours?
Sinon: Same here.
Zora: Well, if they're both here, we'll go after Gunner X first. And if I get paralyzed, don't panic and get into position and wait. Death gun probably, hiding somewhere close, when he comes up to finish either me or Kirito, that's when you shoot him.
Sinon: Aren't you worried I'll shoot you too?
Zora: Your the last person that I know that will shoot me. Because I trust you. Let's go partner!
Zora tapped Sinon's shoulder and walked up the stairs and Sinon held her sniper and had a blush on her face before she shook it off.
Sinon: Okay, but once we get them, out bets our off!
Zora: You got it!
Zora and Sinon then hid behind a truck waiting for the terminal scan, before checking it.
Sinon: Zora, check the north side of the map!
Zora and Sinon started to check the terminal and saw Kirito and Gunner X in the stadium, and Sterben was nowhere to be found.
Sinon: It's him! He's the only one in the city, I guess he's the one.
Zora: I still have my doubt though. And I don't see Sterben around. So it's a high probability that Gunner X is Death Gun! He's probably after this guy.
