Author's Note
Sorry!!! Blame school!!
Do you remember the guy that said 'Yep' in a really weird way when Mr Erikson called him out on the roll? Yeah? Edward Fullen (Fa-len). That's his name.
And we're really good friends. I mean really good friends.
We're at the same secondary school with many others including Ian (remember him?), Kat, Dessy, Licia, Tarlee and Em (of course, and yes I call her Em now). During recess or lunch, a group of us would play soccer. I can't really control the ball properly but I can still kick and run, so my job is to run after an open ball and kick it back into game (because there's no borders). But the thing is, Edward is a fast runner too so he's mainly the one to come after the ball that I'm going to. He also does taekwondo so his legs are strong. You see, I do karate so my legs are pretty strong too.
So when we're one on one, we're basically just kicking away the ball even further away from the main game and mostly half of the time ending up kicking each other's calves or knees or shins.
But Edward's actually a really good player if he plays properly.
He's playing on the school's Year 9-11 team against the school that was right next to ours (literally right next to ours). And apparently those three boys were in their team too.
'Yeah we're going to your school tomorrow.' Dan looked at us as though we were mental.
We were about to film the scene where Hermione slaps Draco in the face in the Prisoner of Azkaban. But apparently she's punching in the film.
'Did you think we would miss the opportunity to get out of school?' Rupert asked.
'Yeah but you should be busy with assignments and whatever, shouldn't you?' Em said. 'Especially you, Tom.'
'Hey, I've handed up all my assignments.' Tom held up both of his hands, raising his eyebrows.
'Oh.'
'Don't underestimate me please.'
'Soorry.'
'But I can't believe we're actually doing the slap, or punch scene.' Rupert said.
'I reckon it's going to be one of the highlights of the movie, to be honest. No offence Tom: they've cut out the Quidditch Finals!'
'Yeah, so I thought she was going to slap me and I was like "Emma, slap me" as in like movie slap me -'
'What!?' Em shrieked.
Rupert, Dan and I busted out laughing. Then Dan's voice broke (did I mention that all the boys' voice changed?) and that made Rupert and I laugh even harder. I sank to the ground as I clutched my stomach. Tom and Em were laughing too.
'Yeah Emma, I asked you to seriously slap me.' Tom laughed.
'Oh my gosh...' She said quietly, her laughter dying straight away. 'I feel so bad now.'
'Don't be; you're going to punch me in the face in any minute.'
'Stop it!!'
'It's true.'
All of us laughed except for Em.
***
'So, which ones your boyfriend, eh?' It was the first thing Dan asked me when they came up to us at the match during lunch. Few yards away from us were three bodyguards, Dave, Ethan and Josh that had came for today.
'He's not my boyfriend!'
'Fine, your future boyfriend.'
I rolled my eyes.
Dan laughed.
'How's you and your girlfriend then?'
'Yeah, we're going good.'
'That's gooood.'
To be honest, when I heard the news for the first time, I was broken in the inside. Because he was my crush then. (From chapter 11 :)))))
But I'm over it now.
'Yeaahhhh.' Tom and Rupert slapped Dan in the back at the same time.
'There they are! Sakura! Em!' We turned around to see Tarlee and Kat. 'We were looking - OH MY GOSH!' Tarlee squealed when she saw who we were with: she's a HUGE fan.
'Are - are you Rupert Grint? And Daniel Radcliffe? And - and Tom Felton?' She stuttered.
'That's us.' Dan said, smiling.
Tarlee looked as though she was going to faint. She pulled Em and I a few feet away from them and whispered loudly.
'They are so dam hot!!'
Em and I laughed. 'We won't say you're wrong with that.'
'Why are they here though?' Kat asked.
'Do you think they'll sign an autograph for me?'
'They're here for the match.' said Em.
'Riight.'
'And yeah we're sure they will.' I said to Tarlee.
'Oh my gosh. I'm going to get my book.'
And she sprinted towards our class room.
Kat chuckled. 'I'm surprised she kept her consciousness.'
'True.' We laughed.
'Oh - and we just wanted to let you know we're going to watch their game till they finish.'
'Seriously?'
'Yep!'
'That's amazing!'
'I know! Not having PE sucks but at least it's not theory.'
'Mmmhm.'
'So yeah! We have to sit together!'
'Of course!'
'Great.' Kat smiled. 'Well, I'll catch yous later. Tell Tarlee I'm at the canteen.'
'Okay.'
'Sure.'
'Thaaanks.' And she walked off towards the canteen.
'Lets go help Tarlee before she faints.' Em suggested jokingly as she watched Talree running across the asphalt.
'Sounds good.' I laughed.
I turned around to follow Em but someone grabbed by wrist: Edward.
'If we win today, can we talk after school?'
'Yeah, sure.' I smiled.
'Great.' He smiled back. Then Mr Dudds, the coach for our team, called the team in.
'Good luck.'
'Cheers.'
We gave each other a really good high-five.
As I watched him jog and join the team, I called, 'Don't foul!'
He didn't turn around but he raised an arm, giving me a thumbs up.
Smiling slightly, I went to join the others to see the happiest Tarlee I've seen with Tom, Dan and Rupert signing her book.
'Thank you all so so soooo much!!!' She squealed after Rupert handed her book back.
'Anytime.' Dan smiled.
Then a whistle blew loudly.
'That's us.' Rupert said.
'Good luck! Even though you're on the other team!'
He laughed. 'Thanks.'
'Great meeting you, Tarlee.' Tom said.
'You - you too!' She stuttered, smiling brightly.
'Catch yous later.'
And the three went jogging to their own team.
'Thank you!' Tarlee called after them.
'We'll smash you!' Em and I shouted at the same time.
'You wish!'
'Have fun with that!'
We laughed as we watched them join their team.
'Kat's in the canteen by the way.' Em told Tarlee.
'Oh okay. Thanks!' As she started to skip off, she called behind her back, 'See you two in few minutes!'
'Yep!'
She disappeared into the canteen.
'Hang on, I'm going to say good luck to Matt. Wherever he is.'
'Okay.' I smirked slightly.
Em blushed a little but she quickly went off. Matthew Ginsberg. Him and Em were going out (yes she got over Tom).
'Sakura!' Kanae was running up to me (all of my friends from Japanese school were at the same school as well). 'Have you seen Kosuke?' She panted.
'Yeah, he was walking with the boys up there.' I said. 'Isn't he back yet?'
'No.'
'Okay.' I said in a that's-a-problem way.
We ran up towards the stone steps and saw him sitting with Akihiro, Keita, Ian and Matt, who was also supposed to be in the team.
'Kosuke! Matt!' I shouted.
'Yeah?' They shouted back.
'Get your butts over here!'
'They're starting!'
I saw the other three laugh as Kosuke and Matt came sprinting over. Akihiro, Keita and Ian ran after them.
When they caught up, Kanae and I ran too.
'Thanks!' They said as they joined the team.
'You pair of idiots!' I heard Mr Dudds say, making Kanae and I laugh.
I saw Em going up to Matt and they hugged as long as they could. Awwww.
They haven't kissed yet though.
The whistle blew again and boys including Ed, Matt, Kosuke, Tom, Dan and Rupert walked onto the field.
'Go boys!' I shouted along with all of the other people who came to watch.
The game was so much fun to watch. Both of the teams were so good. Their team scored first, by Tom in fact but we caught up twenty minutes later.
'Smash us, eh? Smash us?' Rupert said during half time.
'It's only the first half!' Em protested. 'And we're one to one!'
'Yeah, but we're better.' Dan said.
'Because we're in it.' Tom smirked.
Em and I scoffed. 'Yeah great reason.'
Tom grinned. 'I know.'
Suddenly squeals came from behind us, making me jump: a whole group of girls came running up to us. Or should I say, to the boys. The three of them looked at them wide-eyed as Em and I were shoved to the side.
'No pushing, please...' We heard Rupert say in the midst of the crowd. Dave, Ethan and Josh came like lightning and made the girls back away a bit.
Laughing, we went to join Kat, Dessy, Licia, Tarlee, Kosuke, Matt, Ian and Ed. Em and Matt held each other's hands.
'You have to win today!' Licia said to the boys. 'I bet ten pounds that we will to my cousin on the other team!'
'Like seriously?' Ed asked.
'Yes!'
'Okay then.' The boys all laughed.
'But we ain't playing to loose.'
'That's the spirit!'
About five minutes later the whistle blew to signal the beginning of second half.
'Good luck!' Us girls all said at the same time.
'Cheers!' We all high fived or bumped knuckles. Except for Em and Matt duo.
Neither of the teams scored for most of the second half. They went by the goals or shot few times, but they either missed or the goal keepers blocked them, which was quite significant. Now, there was one minute left on the clock.
The ball went back and forth across the field intensely until eighteen seconds remaining, one of our year elevens got it past, towards our goal.
'GO MARK!!! GOOOO!!!!' His sister in our class, Lily's voice yelled over the screams of others. Mark kicked, but it had hit the pole and it went to... Edward.
'SHOOT EDWARD!!!!' I screamed.
He did. And he scored, narrowly, a second before the whistle blew.
We exploded. We screamed and cheered and yelled in victory. All the people on our school team ran up to Edward and put him into a headlock, scrunching up his hair.
Then each player from both of the teams shook hands and one of the player from ours, I think it was a year 10, lifted Ed up onto his shoulders and started to walk towards us. I glanced over to Tom, Dan and Rupert and they looked disappointed, but a bit fascinated at the same time.
Em ran up to Matt and flung herself into his arms.
'That's so cute!' Kat whispered in my ear.
'I know!' I whispered back.
'Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!!!' The crowd all chanted as Ed was lowered down.
'That was epic, Ed!!'
'All thanks to Mark.' He grinned.
'Stop it you.' Mark smacked him in the head, laughing. 'Taking away the glory from me.'
'You were the one to take the ball towards the goal.'
'True.'
'Good job, team!' Ian shouted.
Everyone applauded.
***
For the rest of the day, which was less than an hour, everyone in our class couldn't stop talking about the game. When the bell rang for the end of the day, many people went up to Ed to congratulate for the final goal. It wasn't until the second bell fifteen minutes later that Ed asked me to walk with him.
'Thanks for the call.' He said as we went walked along the oval.
'Oh - you heard?' I laughed.
'Well yeah, quite clearly.'
I laughed again. 'You're welcome.'
'If you didn't yell that out I might've not scored, you know.'
'Really?'
'Yeah, I kind of doubted it would go in though.' He laughed.
'Well it did, didn't it?'
'Mmmhmm.'
The he stopped and turned around to face me.
'I know this is really random,' he said slowly. 'But... Would you go out with me?'
I blinked. I stared at him for a second before breaking into a smile. 'Of course.'

Yes yes, I know. I've got this planned out: it'll happen soon, I promise!!!
