Two weeks after the accident and Miguel was still in a coma. In those two weeks, Freya just left the hospital to shower and get clothes or to get food.
She got permission from the school to miss classes she just needed to do her school work which Demetri gladly helped her. He went to the hospital every day to help Freya with her school work and to visit Miguel.
She hadn't seen Johnny since that day. Enzo told her that apparently, he doesn't own the dojo anymore because Kreese kicked him out.
When Freya heard that she wasn't surprised. She wanted to go and tell him 'I told you' but she wouldn't do that right now.
Freya now sat down on a chair in Miguel's room pretending to sleep.
"Miggy. It's mama. I love you so much, my baby. Please come back to us. We're right here. Your best friend, Freya she's here too. I hope you can hear me, mijo"
"He can. Just remind him you're here. Talk about the things he loves"
"We love you Miggy"
"Esta muchacha de verdad quiere a Miguel" (this girl really cares about Miguel)
Carmen nodded "yeah she hasn't left in the past two weeks. It's good to know that people love him and care about him"
Then they left. A few minutes later she was going to open her eyes from pretending to be sleeping.
She couldn't sleep. Every time she closed her eyes she saw Miguel falling.
She heard footsteps and pretend to be asleep again. "Hey, buddy"
Johnny.
"Sorry I haven't been here. Your mom hasn't wanted me around. Can't blame her. I thought I was helping you. You were learning so fast getting so strong"
"But I failed you"
"I'm so sorry"
She decided to break the silence saying "he can hear you"
He jumped a little "jeez Freya you scared me"
She opened her eyes "I'm sorry- Johnny what happened to you?"
He laughed nervously "I had to find a way to see him"
Freya nodded slowly "I'm so sorry about what happened"
"It's okay I should've listened to you. You were right all along. I was just too naive"
"Well, I will go get something to eat I will leave you alone. Tell him you care about him Johnny" with that she left the room.
A few minutes later she walked back to the room to see a lot of Doctors in the room "excuse me what is happening?"
They ignored her.
"Someone answers me-" she started but a gasp cut her off.
"Miguel!"

"And this is from your pale friend. Demetri, is it? He said the plastic isn't UV resistant, so don't leave it near the window" Carmen said showing Miguel a comic.
"Okay"
"And that basket is from the LaRussos"
"Oh—" he tried to speak but carmen stopped him.
"No, no, no, don't. What is it, Miggy? What do you need?"
"Wh-"
"Water?"
"Where's Sensei?"
Carmen sighed "i-I'm gonna go get a doctor" with that she left.
"He came by- earlier he can't come in here so he injured himself to get in- he is insane"
"Oh"
Freya nodded and walked closer to him "Miguel i-"
he tried shook his head no slowly "you don't have to say anything Freya"
Before she could say something a doctor walked in.

"You're progressing nicely. How does this feel?"
"Yeah"
"Yeah? What about this?" The doctor asked.
"Normal"
Carmen then started feeding him.
"Yaya's so excited. She's at home cooking up a storm. Tupperware full of dulce de leche"
"That's great, mom"
"How about this?" The doctor asked Moving his foot.
"No"
"How about this?" The doctor asked tapping his foot with his pen.
"No" he frowned.
"That's... that's okay"
"You said the scans were okay, right?" Carmen asked.
"Yes. Yes"
"Am I going to be able to do karate again?" Miguel asks.
The doctor chuckled "one day at a time. I'm gonna borrow your mom for a second, okay?"
She nodded before she left she turned on the tv.
Freya walked closer till she was next to him and grabbed his hand. "Please whatever happens never lose hope. Please. You have to be patient okay?"
Before he could answer someone started sobbing both turned their heads to see Carmen.
Miguel frowned and look down.
Freya sighed. She squeezed his hand "I believe in you, Miguel. I know you can do it. It's gonna take time"
Miguel nodded. "My mom told me you haven't left the hospital since it happened, thank you"
Freya smiled and nodded "well of course I haven't slept since what happened. Every time I close my eyes I see you falling- I wanted to be here when you woke up. I missed you a lot"
Miguel chuckled "I missed you too Rosie. What about school?"
"I even missed that stupid nickname-and, Demetri, brings me every assignment and I do it."
He nodded "well you're going back to school right? I'm awake now"
"Jeez Miguel you don't have to rush me out the door" she joked.
He laughed.
"There's the smile we all love to see"
"But for real Freya. I don't want you to waste your time here-"
"I'm not wasting my time"
"You know what I mean. You can come back after school. I know you do it because you care about me but I'm awake now."
Freya playfully rolled her eyes "fine I will go home but you can't get rid of me huh"
"I know" he sighed.
"By the way, I haven't told you um- Johnny doesn't own the dojo anymore. After all, I was right. I don't know anything else but Enzo and Demetri know something but don't wanna tell me"
Miguel chuckled "maybe because they're scared that you're gonna go and beat someone's ass"
Freya rolled her eyes "I'm not that violent"
Miguel chuckled and nodded. "Yeah sure"
Before she could say something someone walked in "hey Johnny- well I'm gonna go"
"Freya?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you and I love you"
Freya smiled "I love you more. See you tomorrow silly"
