'I am all ears' Shahrukh said when he sat down
'Did Kajol come to you?' she asked nervously
'Yes, she did'
Amira came running to his way 'so you are not angry anymore?' she said with a big smile
'I didn't say that, of course I am still angry. Don't you realize what you have done?'
'what did I do?' she asked feeling confused
Shahrukh rolled his eyes 'don't make me lose my patience'
'I am serious, it is Abhishik who spoiled everything; he is weak'
'So you are taking revenge by marrying someone else?' he said furiously and she stood speechless in front of him, she sighed and sat down. She looked down and placed her palms to her head.
He sighed 'can you tell me what is going on? What are you doing?'
'I don't know Shahrukh' she said with a broken voice still looking down with her hand over her head 'I don't know what I am doing' then started breathing loudly 'why did he choose the easy way?' she looked up and cried out
He kneeled in front of her and held her hand; she started breathing heavily and panting between her tears 'okay calm down and breath with me' he said gently yet worried and tried to help her calm down and breath slowly. He waited for a while until she could breath normally 'I am sorry' he said sadly
'it is me who should be apologizing to you not the opposite. I didn't even think before I did what I did' she said between her breaths
'let's talk about it later, you need to rest' he said and stood up, he pulled her hands trying to make her stand up
She nodded in denial 'I won't be able to rest when you are angry with me'
He sighed and sat down 'I am angry for your own sake'
'okay I might be stupid but I am not selfish, I love you and I love Kajol and I am ready to do whatever it takes for your own good Shahrukh. I know you care about me and I care about you more than you even think. It is Ahishik who is responsible for all this mess' she said, tears were rolling down her cheeks
'it is okay if you don't want to talk about it'
She wiped her tears 'speaking about it now or later won't make a difference or change the fact that he abandoned me'
'what happened? What did he say?'
'he didn't say anything Shahrukh, it was only me who was talking. I asked him if he could put everything behind his back and start everything with me in a way or another, I was just talking, and all I wanted is to be reassured. I wish he could even lie to me but he didn't; his silence did say everything'
'when did this happen?'
'two days ago'
'I am so sorry that I wasn't by your side. But why didn't you tell me?'
'you have so much to worry about Shahrukh, and I am old enough to take care of my own business'
'take care of your own business my foot' he said in boredom, he thought for a while 'maybe he needs to take his time to think and you are pushing him as usual and wants everything to happen quickly'
'no one thinks twice about something he is sure of' she said, stood up and started pacing the room slowly 'you know what? Maybe he did think about it for real and chose Kajol over me. A young lady, pretty, rich and her mother is his father's old friend; so why not? Why lose everything for Amira when he could have the whole world with Kajol? It turns out that Abhishik was passing time with me and when he got bored he threw me away like a chewed gum'
'son of a bi...'
'no don't, I still love auntie Jaya' she said sniffling
He raised an eyebrow 'okay whatever. Now, how am I supposed to react to your marriage thing? Should I go buy a new suit? Come on tell me' he said and crossed his legs
She kneeled in front of him 'don't worry about me, of course I won't say yes to the first suitor. Let's look to the bright side, Poja will be busy with me a little bit so I give you guys more freedom, and let us make her feel that someone is finally on her side because I have noticed that she is behaving with you in a very strange way since the Diwali which was before everything'
'okay, forget about Poja and me and let's think about Kajol for a minute, I don't want to sound harsh but couldn't you just not tell Poja about you and Abhishik leaving each other? I am not saying that it is your fault, Abhishik is already a b*strad but Poja now will be putting so much pressure over Kajol, tomorrow will be tough for her'
'for god's sake, Abhishik won't wait for "Salma's wedding" to take benefit of the situation'
'but you made Poja feel like she won' he said without thinking
'you blame me for only thinking of revenge but it is okay to think if Poja thinks she won or lost? Who is acting stupid now?'
'okay never mind'
'no tell me, is something wrong happening? Is Poja trying to hurt you? Is she threatening to do something to you? What is with the winning and losing thing?'
He nodded in denial 'there is nothing to worry about, trust me'
'damn it you scared me' she gave a relieved sigh 'anyway that's the whole thing'
'how are you feeling? It must be tough' he said and held her hand
'I am feeling very bad; I can't believe that he used me' she said looking down
He placed his palm under her chin and raised her head 'Believe me, I won't spare him'
'there is no need' she said and yawned 'anyway I hope the Bachchans don't show up at the wedding. Why would they come anyway? Salma is our friend and our secretary'
He smirked 'they act like we are one family already, the company and now attending social events'
'damn it' she said and yawned stronger
'I think it is my cue to go to my room' he chuckled and she smiled, they stood up and he hugged her 'I am always here for you, you little thing'
'tomorrow is going to be tough for all of us if the Bachchans attended the wedding, I am sure Kajol is crying herself to sleep now'
'I am sure she is. My soul is torn between you both' he said sadly and she just replied with a yawn 'okay fine, good night' he said, kissed her head and left the room
"Torn!" she thought
In the morning while Shahrukh was going downstairs, he met Poja who was coming back from the garden after her daily morning exercises. She walked towards him, smiling in victory 'good morning' she said
'you enjoy it, don't you?' he asked coldly
'what is it that I enjoy?' she asked shrugging
'seeing people tortured'
'Shahrukh, don't be cruel to me son' she pouted playfully
'don't call me son' he said through his teeth
'I am in a good mood today so I will not be angry with you and also because I am happy with what your sister did' she said and pulled his cheek 'everything is going back to normal Shahrukh as I wanted it to be, sorry you had to lose' she patted over his cheek then gasped 'speaking about your sister, I must go and get the catalogues for her, I don't want to forget' she said and left him furious.
Shahrukh went to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. He saw Rani there preparing some sandwiches for Shivan and putting them in his lunch box.
'good morning' Rani said when she saw Shahrukh coming closer to her
'good morning' he replied then looked left and right
'Anarkali is in the stable and I haven't seen Kajol or Amira yet' she said and patted over his shoulder 'how are you doing today?'
'I don't know Rani, why are both of our sisters doing this to us?' he asked sadly
She stretched her lips 'because we are the elders, they break things and it is our responsibility to fix what they broke; but unfortunately sometimes we can't. So what happened with her that let to that mess happened yesterday?'
'Amira and Abhishik broke up, that's why she was behaving like that and Kajol is feeling like shit'
'oh my god! That's bad'
He blew 'it is horrible'
'did things go well with Kajol and Amira? She tried to talk to her last night'
'it is okay, I am surprised they could talk' he said and went towards the coffee machine
'no coffee before breakfast' she said firmly
'I have a very bad headache' he said ignoring her advice and turned on the coffee machine
'I forgot that I am talking to Mr Stubbornness; you are worse than my kids' she cleared her throat 'what did Saif tell you yesterday? What did he want?'
'um nothing, just work' he said and looked away
'oh really? Like you don't see each other daily at work? Shahrukh what are you hiding from me?' Rani asked and stood before him folding her arms before her chest
'okay there is something but can you please not worry? I will handle everything'
'Shahrukh, Preity is my sister. Please tell me what is going on'
He sighed 'Saif wants to start preparing the divorce papers'
'What? Have he gone mad? He can't do it so early. What does he want people to say? Didn't he think how Preity would feel?' Rani asked angrily trying not to shout
'he doesn't care about anything, but trust me Rani I won't let him do it, even until Preity just give birth then he can go to hell' he said reassuring
'oh god he is such an as*hole. And you didn't want to tell me?'
'Rani we are glad that you are finally okay, we don't want you to face any nervous breakdown again'
'hiding the truth from me won't change it Shahrukh. Oh my god that's why Preity is behaving strangely for a while and she was trying to hide it from me too' she said and placed her palm over her lips
'yes, and she wanted to show us that everything is normal with him'
'she is in denial Shahrukh, she doesn't want to see him as a monster even after all what he did. It is like she is bewitched' she said sadly
He took a sip of his coffee 'don't worry I will deal with Saif'
'no, leave it to me. You have enough on your plate, the company, Amira, Kajol and nowadays Auntie. I will deal with Saif. Next time come to me directly Shahruk, please'
'I will, I am sorry again Rani' he said feeling embarrassed
'I know how you care about me and Preity, but this is my problem and I am the one who should deal with it; and I know you will have my back' she said and patted over his arm
He nodded 'of course Rani'
'thanks for understanding' she said smiling
'Kajol are you kidding me?' Poja asked when they were all at the table
'nope. I won't eat my breakfast or anything else, not today and not on any day' Kajol replied calmly
'so it is a hunger strike?' she asked raising an eyebrow
'Yes' Kajol replied in a confident tone
'no you won't'
'yes I will'
'Kajol don't be silly, this is not how we deal with problems?' Arjit said advising
'problems?' Poja asked
'yes Poja, you heard me. A P.R.O.P.L.E.M' Arjit replied coldly
'there is no need to talk about it, I took my decision. I am finally taking action' Kajol said coldly
'pew pew pew' Meera mimicked a gun
Kajol laughed 'not that action Meera, I mean doing something' she said and Meera giggled
'Shivan's bus has arrived, come Meera to wave bye bye to Shivan before her rides the bus' Rani said and took Meera's hand
'yes yes yes' Meera shouted happily and went out with Rani and Shivan
'Kajol please don't do it' Shahrukh said kindly and held her hand not caring about Poja's presence
'don't worry about me' Kajol replied sweetly
'no please listen to him' Poja pleaded sarcastically
'auntie!' Amira said
'what? He is saying something good, I am on his side' Poja replied and shrugged
'yeah, I see' Amira said and shook her head
Poja smiled and cleared her throat 'Anarkali!' she called, then Anarkali appeared with a catalogue in her hand 'hand it to Amira please' she said smilingly provoking Shahrukh who rolled his eyes
'oh wow' Amira said looking through the catalogue and turning the pages
'don't rush, take your time' Poja said sweetly 'take a look you too honey' she said to Kajol
'yeah take a look please, don't feel shy' Shahrukh said coldly
'Shahrukh!' Kajol said slowly through her teeth
'I will go to the stable' Arjit said in boredom and left the room
'enjoy your time love' Poja said 'I have an appointment with the hair salon too; see you guys' she said and left.
'see you auntie' Amira said sweetly then when Poja was out, Amira threw the catalogue behind her chair then she and Kajol looked at Shahrukh.
Before any of them say anything Shahrukh talked 'I am confused. What is the suitable word to use to describe what I feel now? Surprised...Astonished...dumbstruck... or shocked? Can you please help me choose?' he asked coldly but didn't wait for an answer 'why do you keep doing this to me both of you? None of you discussed her stupid decision with me, none of you cared about how I would feel even if she thinks she is doing this for my own good' he said angrily
'hunger strike? Is it a suitable subject to discuss in front my kids?' Rani said when she came back 'what is going on? Why do you all look so tensioned?' she asked when they were silent
'tensioned? Who is tensioned? I am celebrating. I have here a sudden planning for marriage and a hunger strike in front of me' Shahrukh replied to Rani
'Shahrukh I thought yesterday...' Amira was about to speak but Shahrukh interrupted
'you were having a panic attack so we couldn't speak about everything, I am still angry' he said, stood up and folded his arms before his chest
'Shahrukh I am sorry I didn't tell you or discuss my decision with you and I am sure Amira feels the same' Kajol said calmly
'yes of course, why would we intentionally hurt your feelings?' Amira asked 'okay fine I apologize again for what I did, I shouldn't take a decision like this behind your back; you know that none of us wants you to be angry'
'please stop it, you always do this to me. It is not about saying sorry; I need actions not empty words'
'what do you want us to do?' Kajol asked shrugging
'respect me, don't emotionally blackmail me whenever we start talking seriously about something. Come to me when there is something wrong instead of me begging you to talk every single time and don't do something stupid or hide something from me thinking it is better for me not to know or because that it might upset me' Shahrukh said sadly shouting
'Shahrukh I am sure they have good intention and they mean what they said' Rani said trying to calm him down
'I am sick of excuses and apologizes. I have feelings. I have dignity for god's sake. I hate the way you all think that because I am being kind and caring that you can behave with me the way you like and I will just keep silent' he shouted louder
'okay, fine we got that' Kajol said, stood up and went to him 'are you happy with us now?' she asked calmly trying to place her palm over his cheek but he stopped her
'not until both of you prove it to me' he said catching his breaths
'what do you mean?' Amira asked feeling lost
'take back your decisions' he replied coldly and Kajol and Amira just looked at each other silently 'are you ready to do this?' he asked again
'girls say something' Rani said in a low voice
Kajol spoke first 'I know you think it is stupid, but it is the only way mom will "be emotionally blackmailed" as you call it and she is doing the same to me Shahrukh. I want to see how long she could bear seeing me like this'
'do you think I will bear it? Do you think I will be happy seeing you torturing yourself to death?' Shahrukh asked angrily then spoke again 'the only way is to talk to her directly, why we keep fixing things indirectly?'
'you are speaking as if she isn't living with us and seeing what is happening exactly, you are speaking like I don't know my mom. Mom doesn't want me and you to get married; she wants anyone but you Shahrukh. Do you think that we will change her mind with just talking?'
'we haven't tried' he said convincing
'Rani, say something to him please' Kajol said angrily
'Shahrukh, auntie is stubborn. I kind of agree with Kajol's point of view' Rani said
'Kajol. Are you taking it back or not?' Shahrukh asked coldly ignoring everything was said and Kajol nodded in denial. Shahrukh kept looking at her silently.
'why don't you just go to work and you all can talk freely and in a calm way at night after the wedding, because this conversation is going really bad, guys... none of you is knowing what they are saying'
'no Rani we need to have it, this can't wait' he replied then looked at Amira 'surprise me'
Amira stood up and cleared her throat 'well, I know I was hysterical yesterday and I myself wasn't so sure about my decision and I was doing it out of revenge, but let's look at it from another view; that it is a new way to find love. Who knows?' she asked and shrugged
'why are you so sure of this?' he asked narrowing his eyes in boredom
'I am not, Shahrukh. Can you just let me try? It is my own life, and yes I will make mistakes and I will learn from them and you will be by my side to guide me; not to take decisions for me. You need to stop fixing everybody's life and focus on fixing yours'
'I don't want to be the one adding gasoline to the fire, but girls I really don't see why you are so stick to your very own ideas which are actually really bad. We should sit together and think first and find better solutions' Rani said trying to fix things but Kajol and Amira didn't say anything.
'there is no need Rani, they have already took their decisions' he shook his head sadly and went out of the dining room
'Shahrukh' Kajol called and went behind him, Rani and Amira followed her
'what?' he stopped and looked back at her
'you say that we hide things and take decisions alone. Are we the only ones doing this? Don't you also do this?'
'I am not perfect, and I am working on it. In fact Rani is the first one who can tell you that I am changing since Preity's issue. I promise that since today that I am ready to share all what hurts me and won't hide anything from you again. But will you do the same to me? I don't think so. I have seen the proof with my own eyes today and I am really disappointed with both of you'
'things don't have always to go the way you like' Kajol said in boredom
'nothing has ever gone the way I like goddamit!' he cried out 'I am finally saying it, I am tired of all of this. I am stressed and you keep putting me under pressure that is way beyond my ability. I can't suppress my feelings more than this' he took a deep breath 'do you enjoy hurting me a lot so you keep coming up with creative ideas each time? So what's next, ha? What is the next level? You want to see me dead of sadness? What is your target for god's sake?'
Shahrukh kept asking questions that he wasn't waiting to be answered, his words were like a volcano that has just erupted, Kajol and Amira stood helplessly looking at him. Rani was the first one to react, she pushed him gently to the nearest chair and sat him down and called for Anarkali to bring a glass of water.
'there is no need to go to work today' Rani said and handed him the glass of water
He sipped then swallowed slowly 'I am not saying this to sneak out of work, I am fine' he said calmly
'well at least call for a taxi, don't drive today please' she said in a worried tone
'fine' he said and took out his phone from his pocket, called a car and waited
'are you sure you are okay?' Amira asked and placed her palm over his shoulder but he put it away gently
'as if you really care' he replied coldly
'Shahrukh don't be harsh on the girl, she cares and I do too. We are proving it in our own ways' Kajol said blaming
'and I don't like it' he said looking away from her
'guys just shut up, this conversation isn't going anywhere' Rani said firmly
'whose side are you taking Rani?' Kajol asked
'it is not a cricket's match and you aren't teams Kajol. I don't even know from where did all this come up? You are adding a new fight to the house as if we haven't enough ones already' Rani explained
Kajol narrowed her eyebrows 'what do you mean? Who else is making a problem?' she asked
'it is Saif, but I have no power to talk about this issue now' Rani replied helplessly
'the three idiots' Shahrukh said sarcastically
'don't overdo it Shahrukh please, we got your point' Kajol said coldly
Shahrukh stood up 'thank god the car arrived, I am out of here' he said and left
'take care' Rani said sadly then looked back at Kajol and Amira
'I am not ready for any of your lectures Rani, Shahrukh has recently exploded in our face' Kajol said quickly
'and are you happy with that?'
'none of us is happy with what we are doing but we have no other choice'
'just keep listening to yourself, you will regret this later' Rani said and shook her head 'oh poor Shahrukh' she said sadly and left
'don't be sad, we will try and talk with him again, okay?' Kajol said to Amira and she just nodded silently
Shahrukh's phone didn't stop ringing when he was in his office, he got hundreds of missed calls from Kajol and Amira and tons of messages. He finally turned off his phone and tried to focus on work. He was happy that Abhishik and his father didn't show up in the company, he had no energy to fight anybody; he also wanted to think of a plan to start to get rid of them and break the partnership.
At the end of the day Shahrukh had to turn on his phone, he ignored all the messages sent to him and called Rani.
'did you finish dressing up?' Shahrukh asked
'almost done, do you need anything?' she said wearing her shoes
'is it okay to come and pick me up?'
'Are you okay? Do you feel sick?' she asked in a worried tone
'no I am fine, it is not like that. I am asking if you can bring me a suit with you from my wardrobe' he said reassuring her
She placed her palm over her chest 'Shahrukh you scared me, fine I will. Is it a way to avoid coming home early?'
'kind of'
'okay, I am on my way'
'thanks Rani'
'most welcome' she said and hung up
Suddenly his office phone rang and he picked it up 'hello?'
'what is your point of view?' Amira shouted through the phone startling him
He rolled his eyes; he forgot that she has the company numbers 'what point of view? What do you mean? It is the end of a working day for god's sake' he asked wiping his face with his palm
'that's why I called, if I called earlier on the office number you would say you are busy, and you aren't picking up your personal phone. I actually don't see a reason for all this drama; and I thought we were cool yesterday' she continued shouting
He blew 'yesterday I was consoling you because of your break up and how Abhishik was mean to you. I care about you. But I don't know what you are trying to do or see the importance of sticking to your own stupid idea. That's away from my reaction to what Kajol also did'
'I apologized for taking the decision behind your back, not for taking the decision itself, Why are you so busy with what I do with my life? It is my own life for god's sake. I have to take my own decisions by myself' she said in boredom
He rolled his eyes 'okay fine, as you wish'
'Am I being punished Shahrukh? I want to understand where this is going'
'not like that, I want you to understand you are my young sister, I have to take care of you. It is my responsibility to do that'
'you are the one that needs to understand that you don't need to do so anymore. It was our parents who had this right to do so and they are dead now Shahrukh' she said without thinking and he was shocked from her words that he kept silent 'no, no I didn't mean it like this, please forgive me' she said at once pleading
'let's talk later please' he said with low energy
'I am so sorry Shahrukh'
'fine, bye' he said and hung up, he loosened up his tie and took a deep breath, his sister's words were like a slap to his face. He placed his arm to his desk and leaned his head to it, he tried to sleep until Rani arrives instead of being an easy prey to his thoughts; he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
'Shahrukh' Rani said shaking his shoulder gently and he flinched 'why are you sleeping like this? It is bad for you back'
'sorry doctor' he said sarcastically and sat properly
'your phone didn't stop buzzing'
'answer it yourself so they will stop'
Rani took his phone and replied 'yes Kajol' Shahrukh could hear Kajol shouting from the other side but Rani kept calm 'yes he is with me, don't worry. Take Amira with you and Shahrukh will come with me, see you' she said and hung up 'they really love you'
He gave her a fake smile and nodded then asked 'where is my suit?'
'it is over there on the couch' she replied and he took his suit and headed to the bathroom
Arjit, Poja, Kajol and Amira arrived before Shahrukh and Rani, after they met the bride and the groom, Poja introduced Amira to some guy she knew then left her with him. Few minutes and the Bachchans showed up and they headed towards Arjit, his wife and Kajol. Amira excused the guy she was talking with when she saw the Bachchans coming in, she said she needs some air and left to the garden near the hall.
'Kajol, can I talk to you for a second?' Abhishik asked when he reached her
'sure' she said quietly, she went with Abhishik out of the hall, before he could say anything Kajol started beating him 'you weak, idiot, selfish man, I hate you. I will never marry you Abhishik, not even in your wildest dreams no matter what you do' she shouted taking benefits of the loud music
He held her wrists with his palms stopping her from hitting him 'what the hell are you saying? I won't ever marry you, I love Amira. Don't you know that for god's sake?'
'didn't you break up with Amira to marry me?' she asked looking confused
Abhishik left Kajol's hands in a shock 'what? I didn't break up with her. Why are you saying so?' he asked trying to understand
'Wait. So why is she asking mom to find her a suitor?' she felt lost
'Kajol what is happening? What the hell is this?' he started shouting
'Abhishik don't lie to me, stop acting' she said firmly
'I swear I don't understand anything. Let me ask you something. Did she tell you what she wanted us to do?'
'yes she told me everything, you abandoned her' she said in disgust
He widened his eyes 'no, I didn't'
'yes you did, you didn't say yes to her offer'
'so you agree about that plan?' he asked narrowing his eyebrows
She nodded in denial quickly 'no of course not, I didn't mean it like that. That's a shitty plan' she sighed 'you could at least say yes and then try to change her mind later, but you chose the easiest way Abhishik as you do every time, to do nothing'
'I was shocked of the whole idea, what she asked me isn't easy'
'so you didn't abandon her?' she asked again making sure if his words
He rolled his eyes 'I didn't get the chance to do or say anything'
'where were you two days ago anyway?' she asked him but he looked away embarrassed 'that's what you do Abhishik, she needs reassurance. Is it not that clear?'
'I will try to find her, there is so much to tell her'
'yes please do' she said and he left, she gave a relieved sigh and went back to the hall, she saw Rani inside so she went to her 'where is Shahrukh?' she asked when she reached her
'Kajol please, leave him alone today' Rani begged her
'I have great news for him, I spoke with Abhishik and knew that what happened between him and Amira was a big misunderstanding, he didn't break up with her'
Rani sighed 'oh my god that's awesome'
'yeah...come on tell me, where is he?' she asked smilingly
Rani gave up 'fine, he is at the bar'
'I will go to him' she said and ran to the bar, she sat in front of Shahrukh 'I have great news for you' she said happily, he didn't look interested and just shrugged but Kajol didn't lose her energy 'I spoke with Abhishik'
'What now? Are you inviting me to your wedding? Do you want us to celebrate you becoming Kajol Bachchan?' he asked coldly narrowing his eyes in disgust
'are you crazy? You fought with me this morning for my hunger strike that I decided to do because of my love to you and now you think I am marrying Abhishik?'
'you nearly faked an engagement last time, sometimes you can be unpredictable to be honest' he said sarcastically
'enough of your nonsense Shahrukh and listen to me. Abhishik didn't break up with your sister, he was shocked when I told him about her behaviors and her thoughts for an arranged marriage'
Shahrukh blinked twice 'what?'
'yes, he went to search for her to speak with her' she smiled 'everything is back on track' she said and held his hand
He gave a relieved sigh 'so we are done with the hunger strike thing?' he asked with a short smile
Kajol shrugged and nodded in denial 'no, I didn't say that. I started it this morning already. Abhishik and Amira might come back to each other but my challenge with my mom isn't finished yet, we have just started'
He pulled his hands away from her 'I can't believe it' he said looking away angrily
'just think about it as Karvachauth, but this one is a bit longer' she said playfully
He looked back at her 'don't romanticize it Kajol, you are killing yourself' he said angrily through his teeth
'we have no other choice, and I can't trust Abhishik anymore. I hope things go well with them; but there is no guarantee that this might happen'
'damn it' he said boredom
'you move on so fast, don't you?' Abhishik said when he saw Amira sitting in the garden over the grass away from the hall
'what do you want? I thought we are done with our story' she said calmly without looking at him
'I spoke to Kajol, she told me everything'
'she did? Great, and what do you think about it?' she said playing with the grass with her fingers
Abhishik grabbed her arm and made her stand up 'how could you give up on me like this?' he asked angrily
She smirked 'you are the one who did Abhishik, your silence was an enough answer. I have a dignity' she said coldly then tried to walk away but he didn't leave her arm 'leave me alone Abhishik' she yelled and tried hard to make him leave her arm but he grabbed her other arm, pulled her closer to him and kissed her. When he pulled back she looked at him questionably.
'When Kajol told me about the arranged marriage thing I felt like I will go crazy. I can't imagine that I can lose you'
'put the romance aside Abhishik please and let's cut it short' she said putting away his hands gently 'I offered to leave everything behind, I would sacrifice everything and start all over with you but you couldn't do the same to me, you thought about the money, cars and name, I was leaving all this behind too; you aren't the only losing things. I was leaving Shahrukh himself for god's sake knowing that he might never forgive me or understand how this is good for him even if it means being away from him' she said shedding tears
'I will go with you' he said gently shocking her
'what?' she said narrowing her eyes, she wanted to make sure she really heard what he said to her and she isn't hallucinating 'what are you saying?'
'I am ready to run away with you' he said calmly and she shivered 'What? Hard isn't it? That's how I felt when I heard your plan on that day. I was lost for words just like you'
She took a deep breath and nodded 'I know it is hard, I never said it is easy Abhishik'
'but losing you is way harder' he said kindly and she smiled sadly 'I will be waiting for your signal, take your time' he said with a short smile
'there will be no going back Abhishik' she said confidently warning him, he nodded, held her hand and kissed it then walked back inside.
After Amira washed her face and went back to the hall she saw Shahrukh and Kajol at the bar while Kajol was pulling Shahrukh's cheek teasing him, she looked at them for a while smiling sadly.
'where have you been?' Rani asked
'in the garden, I needed some air'
Rani placed her palms over her arms 'don't worry, everything will be okay and will be back to its normal; Shahrukh won't be angry from you forever' she said smilingly reassuring
Amira started laughing uncontrollably 'yeah sure' she said and took a deep breath 'I will call a car; I want to go home' she said and left Rani feeling lost.
