I was still wearing my old black dress as I cleaned out the office. I could at least set him off to a good start before I left.

"Mhm, that's very nice Nari. I'll go work now," Sunghoon opened the door before looking down at the tie in his hands, "this damn tie... how was it? Wrap around... thread through... tug in... nope definitely not it," he muttered to himself as the tie looked awfully wrongly tied. He let out a sigh before just pulling the tie off and throwing it on the floor reaching out for something that should be standing on the table beside him.

"Looking for this?" I spoke up and held up a bottle of wine, making Sunghoon freeze and stare at me with wide eyes.

"You... when did you come?" he frowned at me.

"I helped you to your room yesterday, after you decided to go to the cemetery whilst drunk out of your mind," I spoke, "I let Nari stay with you after I got you into bed."

"Ah shit, I'm so sorry," he quickly excused, "I didn't plan on going to the funeral. I wanted to stay away. I promised myself to stay away."

"That didn't go well for you," I simply shook my head at him.

"What did I say?" he questioned.

"That my resignation allowed me to work for you for another month, claimed that I still cared about you... that's pretty much it," I listed for him.

"And you offered to hand in an immediate resignation and told me you resented me," he hesitantly nodded at me to which I simply nodded, "so you're gonna work the month?" a small spark lit up in his eyes.

I didn't say anything, I simply pulled out a paper from the pocket of my dress and held it up to him before unravelling it and placing it on his table before signing it with one of his pens.

"I'm leaving once I'm finished in here," I stated and placed the pen down on the table, "please sign my resignation before the day is over. I've called over secretary Shim to help Nari take care of you, whilst on your hangover."

"Why are you leaving? I don't get it," he frowned at me, "you wanted to stay, you told me you wanted to stay, the morning after there is a forced resignation on my desk, and you suddenly disappear for a week and now you're back for a few hours before you want to leave... for good?"

"I never told you I wanted to stay and I'm leaving for good," I nodded at him and watched as his hand reach over to the door and switfly turned the lock, making a small click echo out in the office.

"You're not leaving before I get a proper explanation," he crossed his arms a cold look returning to his face.

"I'll send you a wedding gift," I assured him, "now may I go?"

"How'd you know?" he questioned and I sighed before leaning back against his desk and crossing my arms.

"Your phone didn't ring, okay?" I questioned and he frowned at me, "your mom stopped by that morning, told me you and Nari was gonna get married and that my dad had passed."

"You lied to me," he realized.

"You used me," I defended, "you knew you were going to marry Nari, but you still promised you weren't going to use me. Yet you tried..."

"I did not try to use you," he shook his head, "everything about it was sincere. I meant all I said that night."

"If it was all true, you would've told me about the wedding, you wouldn't have tried to do what you did knowing I feared getting used in that way. Yet you still tried, knowing everything," I stated making him go silent and just look down at the floor. It was the first time he had expressed any form of shame over himself.

"Everything I said was true Sieun," he stated and glanced up at me.

"Miss Jung," I corrected him and he simply shook his head.

"Sieun, I promise you... everything I said was true," he spoke and looked up in my eyes. He looked completely sincere, but it only made it a tad bit more believeable for me, "I really do want you to resign and move in with me. You could start studying, study whatever you'd like. I'll help you get to study the major you want. I want you to move in, not as my maid. I want you to live here like my... like my girlfriend."

"How do you expect a married man to justify another girl living with him and his wife, in their house, whilst dating him?" I questioned him.

"I'll call it off," he stated, "I'll call the wedding off. I don't want to marry Nari. I hate the girl... heck I loathe her."

"You have to marry her," I shook my head with a small smile and grabbed onto my elbows, "it'll be good for the company, for your name."

"For once... I don't care about the company, my name, the money," he shook his head at me, "I want you... only you."

"You can't... you can't choose me. You just can't," I shook my head at him, "what won't other business men think when they find out you fell for an orphaned, stupid, ugly maid?"

"Only one of those are true," he corrected, "I know I've called you ugly and stupid in the past. It was a coping mechanism, okay?" he defended, "I don't care what other business men will think. I can make them shut up within moments with just a look."

I sighed before dropping my face down into my hands and rubbed my face before rubbing my temples.

"I shouldn't be here right now," I muttered, "I should be home, sorting through things. Setting the apartment up for sale... I can't be here right now," I shook my head making Sunghoon abruptly move over and softly grab my shoulders before tilting my chin up, my eyes meeting his deep brown, chocolate eyes.

"I'll give you a week, is that enough?" he questioned making me frown, "I'll give you a week to go back and live like you would otherwise. If you don't," he took in a deep breath, "if you don't return by the end of that week... I'm taking that as you having denied my request and I'll marry Nari... is that enough?"

"I..." I slowly trailed off as I thought about it.

"I promise I won't... I promise I won't come to you unless you call me. You got your phone back, right?" he questioned and I hummed.

"You gave it back when I had to go the first time," I nodded at him.

"I won't... I won't come to you unless you call for me. If you need to talk about this, if you need company, if you need help with anything in the coming week... just call," he stated and I just nodded at him, "please promise me that."

"Can you come help me clean out the apartment?" I questioned carefully and he raised both his eyebrows, "I can't do it alone and Jihoon won't be there. I know it's not prestigeous and clean, and there most likely will be drugs that my brother has hid, and-"

"I'll happily help you," Sunghoon interrupted and I looked back at him, "besides... Secretary Shim let a small secret slip, about you having artwork lying under the bed."

"He did not tell you that..." I muttered in realization.

"He did," Sunghoon nodded, "and I'd love to see them."

"They're hideous," I shook my head.

"Like the carpets?" he chuckled.

"A tad bit better than the carpets," I stated making a small laugh escape his mouth.

"Ah... that was deserved," he hummed at me, "lets go then."

He reached down and let his hand slip into mine, making a small smile appear on my face and pull on his arm before he got the chance to pull me away.

"What?" Sunghoon questioned as he looked to me.

"Promise me... you didn't try to use me," I spoke making him send me a small smile.

"I would never," he shook his head and brought my hand up to his lips as he pressed a kiss to the back of my hand, "I promise."

"And another thing," I stated making him just look up at me as my smile fell from my face, "I will never be your girlfriend, don't try and make me like you."

"Wha-" he started making me immediately cut him off.

"You'll be overworked if you try to make up for all you did and said to me ever since the moment I set foot in this office," I shook my head making his face slowly fall before he just nodded at me, "it's of no use. I can't forgive you all that in just a week."
