I spent two months with Charlie and the dragons. I got Norbert out and flying again, I even helped Charlie build another Dragon house. School starts tomorrow and I was suppose to go back with Charlie for an Order of the Phoenix meeting. I knew Fred was going to be there and it didn't bother me, Spending so much time with Charlie helped me feel better, and now when I see Fred I don't get sad anymore. Right now, i'm packing my bag to go home.
"You ready?" Charlie asks
"I think so" I answer as I throw a bunch of my stuff back into my suitcase
"He's going to be there you know, and you won't be able to say anything to him" Charlie says sadly
"I know that too but trust me. I'm okay, I don't get sad when I see him anymore It's like he doesn't effect me anymore" I say as I put my shower stuff into the suitcase and close it up.
"He misses you, just so you know" Charlie tells me
I nod and we walk down the hall down towards the kitchen. I grab and apple and cut it up before walking to the dragon house. I give each dragon a piece of the apple and say my goodbyes. I stop at Norberts pen and I rub her nose.
"Listen to Charlie and no giving up. I'll be checking in with him" I tell her
She nudges me with her head. I rest my head on hers and whiper a goodbye. Charlie takes my hand and we apparate back to Grimmauld place. I see the Weasley's car parked outside and I walk in behind Charlie.
"Go up to your room quietly, I'll have Tonks come up and fill you in" Charlie whispers.
I sneak upstairs careful to avoid any creaky steps. I get to the top and tiptoe to my room. I open the door and quietly close the door behind me. I flop down on my bed and look around. I see a few of my posters up on the wall and I can guess that it was Remus that fixed the whole in the door. I hear a soft knock on the door before it opens quickly. I see Tonks standing there, looking like she was about to pop.
"Oh look at you, so tan and pretty" She says jealousy
"Hi auntie" I say giving her a hug.
I look towards the door and then back at her. She looks at me smiling.
"So what's the verdict?" I ask unpacking my suitcase quietly
"Well um, you get to go back to hogwarts but You don't get to ride the train. Your Uncle Sirius decided that you need to have a dramatic entrance" She says
"Like what?" I ask
"Well after the sorting ceremony, Dumbledore will make some weird announcement about a new student and how she needs to be sorted. That's when you walk in" She says
"Wow, that's like an entire Sirius Black moment" I say laughing
"Yeah, well um I need you to sign this" She says handing me a paper
I look at it and read it carefully.
"I'm being adopted, I don't understand" I tell her
"Sirius wants to adopt you, Be your legal guardian" She explains handing me a pen
I take the pen and sign it.
"Welcome home Elissabeth Black" Tonks says giving me a quick hug before rushing out of the room and closing the door behind her.
I turn around and go into the closet to hang up a few of my outfits when I hear the door open and close again. I walk out to my room and see Sirius standing there with Kingsley Shacklebolt.
"Back from Romania already?" Kingsley asks
"Yes sir" I say shaking his hand
"Are you certain you want Sirius to be your legal guardian?" Kingsley asks jokingly
"Yeah, I do" I say looking at Sirius smiling
Kingsley takes out his wand and casts some strange spell on the paper and it disappears in a cloud of gold light.
"Well there you are. Have a good year" He says before walking out of the room.
I look at Sirius and smile.
"I really get to go back?" I ask
He nods and I jump into his arms and laugh. He looks at me and smiles.
"It's good to have you back home. How was Romania?" He asks
"Good, really good. I rode dragons, I built a house for them. I fell of the dragon a few times but I'm okay. I'm happy and hopeful and I'm home" I answer smiling
He nods and walks towards the door.
"Get your trunk ready, You go back to school tomorrow" He says smiling
I nod and he goes out closing the door behind him. I cast the silencing spell and turn on the radio as I unpack my suitcase and pack my school trunk. I throw in my weasley sweater and the memory book, along with my camera, my sketchbooks and a few more muggle pens and pencils. I set my quidditch robes next to my house robes. I close the trunk and lay down on my bed. I hear a pound on the floor signaling me I can come down. I get up and remove the spell before running down the stairs and into a now empty kitchen. I see a bowl of Molly's homemade stew and a few biscuits.
"Well welcome home" I hear from behind me
I see lupin standing in the doorway as I stuff a biscuit in my mouth. I take a bite and set it on the counter before giving him a hug.
"So what i've been told is that you built a dragon house and fixed Hagrid's dragon Norbert. Is that right?" He asks
"Yeah, that's right I even cooked, everyday" I say taking a bite of the stew on the counter
"And Hogwarts? You excited?" Lupin asks
"A little, What do I tell everyone when I get back?" I ask in response
He looks at me confused as Tonks comes in with Sirius
"I mean come on, I've been dead for four months and I just magically come back to life and rejoin Hogwarts?" I say quizzically
They all look at each other nervously before looking at me.
"Um Issy, You remember how you said that your tired of hiding things from everyone?" Tonks asks
"Yeah, so what?" I respond
"Well depending on your house, I do believe you will be placed back into Gryffindor, But you will have to tell everyone the truth, If they ask and Dumbledore will do his best to explain to everyone else but you need to understand that this will be a difficult transition" Tonks says
"I have to be resorted again?" I ask
