"All thanks to you. The dresses fit perfectly" Katie says
I nod and sit down and Angelina's bed. I look at them all standing there nervously. I find my camera from my bag and take a picture of them.
"Go the boys are waiting. Katie don't let Fred do anything super stupid" I tell her
"Are you sure your okay with us going together?" She asks
"Yes, Now go" I say
They all go, leaving me and Hermione alone.
"Wanna go to the Library?" I ask her after a while of silence
She looks at me and nods. We grab our stuff and go down to her dorm, putting our dresses on the bed before going down to the common room.
Everyone is standing around talking so I grab my camera and take a picture of everyone. I wait for it to print and I look at it moving and everyone smiling. I say goodbye and walk out with Hermione. Neither of us says anything till we get to the library.
"Do you know anything about the last task?" she asks
I pull her towards the window and point out to the Giant field that's starting to look like a maze.
"Well that seems easy" She says
"Only it'll be filled with dangerous creatures and we can use any spell we know. Krum knows some dangerous spells" I tell her picking up a book about apparition
"That is true, but He's kind. He would never hurt anyone" She says sitting down with me
We both read for a few hours before Madame pince taps on our table.
"You girls should get going if you want to go to the Ball"
I nod and finish the last page before putting the book back on the shelf.
"Hermione Grab my hand I want to try something" I tell her
She grabs my hand and I apparate us back to her dorm. She laughs before she takes a deep breath and walks into the Bathroom with her dress. I change into my dress quickly and put my sneakers on before fixing my hair and putting my necklace from Fred on.
"Wow, you look really pretty" Hermione says coming
"You do too, Mione" I say
"I like the dress but could could you make it pink?" She asks
"Of course, stand still" I tell her
"Okay" She says standing perfectly still
"Crinus Muto pink" I say pointing at her dress with my wand
Hermione watches as it turns pink before twirling around and looking in the mirror
"Lets go Have a Ball" I say trying to be funny
Hermione laughs all the way down to the common room. She sees the door and panics.
"What if he changes his mind?" She asks
I put my hand on her head calming her down.
"Viktor won't, trust me. What did you put in your hair it's so soft" I say
"Sleekeazy's" She answers.
We walk down the stairs and towards the great hall. But stop before the turn to the final set of stairs. I wait for her to peek around the corner. When She steps out from around the corner I follow her. We slowly walk down the stairs to join the rest of our friends. I see Blaise in the distance and wave to him. Harry is standing at the bottom of the stairs with Ron. as we reach the last step Viktor Krum steps forward and asks for Hermione's hand. I push her towards him and watching as they walk away towards the other champions and their dates.
I see Cedric looking at me worried and I shrug my shoulders trying not to seem disappointed.
"Everything alright?" a familiar voice asks.
I turn around and see Remus Lupin standing with Tonks. I let out a gasp and jump into their arms.
"Happy Christmas" Tonks tells me
"Not really, but better now that your here" I say pulling away
"Where's Fred?" Lupin asks
"I don't know, I told Charlie and Bill to get Fred, George and Lee back here before seven-thirty and It's almost time for the opening dance and their not here and Ron's not going to dance with me. I don't know what to do" I say starting to hyperventilate
Tonks grabs my shoulder and looks at me seriously.
"Where's Ron?" She asks
I point towards the great hall entrance, Where Ron is standing with Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas.
"RONALD WEASLEY" SHe shouts marching over to him
I look at Lupin and point to his hand
"Let me see whatever your hiding" I say holding my hand out.
Lupin looks at me and pulls out a small black picture with a silhouette of a baby. I look at it closer and Realise what it is.
"Really?" I ask tearing up
He nods and smiles
"Tonks and I wanted to talk to you but she seems a bit preoccupied at the moment, and you have to go" He says pointing to McGonagall.
I hand him the picture and walk over to Tonks and Ron. Ron';s face is super red and Tonks has Molly's facial expression, and I realize that she scared him pretty badly.
"Auntie Tonks, We have to go" I tell her grabbing Ron's arm and walking towards the others.
McGonagall gives us instructions on what to do and we do exactly as she says. I hold Ron's arm as we walk into the great hall and take our places next to Cedric and Cho.
"Place your hand on my hip" I tell him
"Place it where?" He asks
I roll my eyes and put his hand on my hip before the music starts. We Dance around just as we were taught and Eventually more people join in before the song ends. When the song ends Ron bow's and He walks off towards Harry and his date. I walk over to where Tonks and Lupin are, squeezing myself into lupins arms trying nt to cry. Tonks pulls out an envelope before handing it to me.
"In the astronomy tower go now, we'll wait her for you" she says
I give her a kiss on the cheek and walk out opening the letter. I walk towards the tower while reading the letter.
"Dear Elissabeth,
I truly am sorry for not telling you the truth sooner. I wanted to wait until I thought you were ready but you found out sooner than I hoped. I heard about the tournament and what you did, I'm proud of you I want you to know that. I can't imagine how hard things must be for you right now. With the tournament and your classes, not to mention quidditch, you have your hands full. I want to see you soon, Maybe that way we can " I crash into someone.
"Issy, I'm so sorry we're late. Did we miss anything?" Fred asks
I look up at him and restrain myself from hitting him.
"Yes Fred, you missed the opening dance that you all promised you'd be back in time for" I say
His face falls and I can see he realises how hurt I am.
He reaches for my hand but I step back
"Why don't you go dance with Katie, Maybe you can make her happy since you couldn't keep your promise to me" I say as everyone else joins him
"Issy that's not fair" Fred says
"NO, You know what's not fair? The fact that I have been dreaming about this night for four years Fred and you ruined it. I have been trying so Hard to be a good girlfriend for the past few months but when I needed you to do something really important for me, You don't show up" I say frustrated.
"I'm sorry, we lost track of time" He says
I roll my eyes and continue walking towards the astronomy tower, reading the letter.
"Maybe we can talk about what's been going on since we last spoke. I hope you have a good time at the Yule Ball, That was always my favorite night to spend with the Marauders.
Sirius Black "
I climb the stairs to the astronomy tower and walk up, looking out at the castle below. I rest my arms on the railing and take a deep breath.
"Hey there" a voice from behind me says.
I turn around and see Sirius standing there with a single white rose. I don't say anything, instead I give him a hug and he stretches his arms out to look at me.
"Look at you, Lily would be so proud" He says
"I'm glad you came" I tell him
He takes my hand and looks at me seriously.
"How have you really been, sweetheart?" He asks
I let out a breath and I look out at the castle again.
"I can't sleep at night. Everytime I close my eyes I see everyone around me die, and that scares me. I don't want to die either, I don't want to leave you guys." I say
"How are you and the weasley boy?"
"I'm mad at him" I answer playing with my necklace
"What happened?" He asks
"Well each of the champions is supposed to dance with a partner to start the ball. Fred promised he would dance with me when he got back from Hogsmeade. But he didn't show up so I had to dance with Ron, but he didn't want to dance either, but he did" I say
"What about Quidditch? how's that going?" He asks
"I won Slytherin the house cup, as Co-captain and seeker" I say
"Well I'm not very good with romance, but I will tell you that if he hurt you give it some time. Things will be okay after a while. And about the death thing, You know the plan" He tells me
"What plan?" I ask
"Snivellus clearly didn't tell you. When you get to where ever the cup takes you, You will bring Cedric back here before going back to help Harry. Voldemort will give the order and Snape will give you Sleeping potion before casting the glacius tria spell. He'll carry your body back to the others to show them your dead. Harry will bring your body back here wich is when Lupin and Tonks will bring you back to Grimmauld place. You'll hide out there until we decide it's safe for you to come back to hogwarts" Sirius explains
"So I'll get to stay with you?" I ask
"Yes, Tonks and Lupin will be staying with us as well" He answers
"How long do you have?" I ask
"You should get back to the ball" He says
I nod and give him another hug before He apparates away. I smile before walking towards the great hall to rejoin the celebration.
"So how did it go?" Lupin asks when I sit down next to them
"Good. We um talked about the plan and Fred" I say
Tonks looks at me and then at Lupin before clearing her throat.
" We need to talk to her about you know what" Tonks reminds him
Lupin nods and pulls the picture out of his pocket before sliding it over to me again. I take it and smile at the little baby in the picture.
"Remus and I were talking and we wanted to ask you if you would like to be Teddy's godmother" Tonks says
I look at her completely surprised.
"Of course I will" I say
They smile and I feel hands on my shoulders, when I look up I see Blaise.
"Hey" I say
"Do you want to dance with me?" He asks
"Sure, Why not" I say getting up and letting him lead me to the dance floor.
We danced for a while before I got tired and went back to Lupin and Tonks.
"So, Teddy Lupin. I like it" I say bring up the baby again
Lupin hands me the picture for a third time and I pick it up.
"Keep it. We've got a copy back at the house" He says
I smile and hold the picture in my hands, smiling at what would soon by my godson.
