After our trip, we arrived back to the hotel. Our final night here. Everyone was planning to go to the beach and have a party. We were gonna order food and play games and make a fire. Sounded pretty fun. I sat in my bedroom on my phone waiting until the party began.
bsf: so... how you doing?
I look over at her and turn off my phone
Y/n: wdym
She sighs and stands up
bsf: I mean you and Louis... is everything okay?
My heart tears a little every time someone talks about it.
Y/n: Uh- yeah no, I'm just trying to put on a brave face you know. Keeping him happy...
she nods and stars braiding her hair in the mirror
bsf: And... what about home. Are you ready to see your Dad again...
I close my eyes and shake a little. No. I'm petrified.
Y/n: Yeah, I'm fine. You almost ready?
She nods and finishes tying her braid.
bsf: Okay, let's go
I stand up and we start walking toward the beach.
Put on a smile. For Louis. Don't let him see your upset.
I've been repeating these words all day. Louis wants me to be happy. And I'm going to make sure that he is too.
We arrive at the beach and it actually looks very nice. A few kids found a spot with these lights that hung over the beach and that's where they set up the fire and some games.
Daniel sees us and runs over
Daniel: Y/n! Bsf/n! Hi guys!!
I smile and run over to him too. We hug for a second and bsf/n does too.
Daniel: You like it? I found this spot!
I nod
Y/n: You found this?
He seems proud and he smiles
Daniel: Yessir
I laugh a little and see Louis walking over in the distance. He's smiling. Thank goodness he is feeling good.
I quickly dash over to say hi
Y/n: Louis!!
I jump up into his arms and he catches me. We hug for a minute and then he sets me down.
Louis: Hey baby how are you?
I smile and kiss him
Y/n: Better with you
His cheeks tint pink and he kisses me for a few seconds.
Louis: Ooh, come this way I wanna show you something
I look back at bsf/n and shrug as I run off with Louis.
Louis keeps running further and further down the beach and I get confused
Y/n: Louis where are you goinggg??
He stops shortly after and pulls me around a corner
I see a big box sitting there, and in permanent marker, I read
To my baby :)
I stop and look up at him. Butterflies.
Y/n: Stoppp what is this?
He smiles and sits picks it up.
Louis: This is a gift for you. But no opening it until tomorrow night.
I sigh and my smile fades a little
Y/n: But I'll be back to home-
Louis: I know... that's the point
I look down at the box in my arms and smile. My eyes get a little teary, but I remember that I have to put on a happy face for Louis.
Louis: Here, I'll take it back to your room for you
I hand it to him but pause for a second
Y/n: Why didn't you just set it in there from the start?
Louis takes the box and sighs as he rolls his eyes
Louis: Your stupid ass teacher Mr J was asking me why I was going to the girls side of the rooms. I told him that it was things for the party tonight and I was putting it down by the beach
I laugh a little as I hand him the keycard to my room
Y/n: Ugh that son of a bitch is always up in my business too
Louis giggles a little and takes a few steps back
Louis: Alright well I'll be right back
He turns around and runs off. He's wearing shorts and a gray tee. I smile but stay where I stand.
LOUIS POV
I make it up to y/n's bedroom and use her card to open the door. The room was messy. Full of clothes all over the ground and makeup in front of the mirrors, but it was cute. I set the box next to her bed. I stare at it and have an odd feeling.
Somethings missing. I have something I want to give her.
I run back over to my room and search until I find my journal. I open the pages and stare at all the memories I wrote about us. Pages upon pages. From my first impression of her, to today at our trip. I smile and my eyes water. A tear falls onto the page.
Louis: Shit
I try to shake the book to the tear falls off, but it already sunk in. A small circle forms over a single word. I look closer. Love. The tear fell on the word love.
Y/N POV
Me, bsf/n, Ethan and Daniel were all swimming at the beach. Letting waves crush us and playing catch with a random football we found. I looked around and Louis still had not returned. I tried to shrug it off and we kept playing. The sun was almost all the way down.
bsf: Wait- wait pause for a second
She starts coughing and spitting into the water. I swim over.
Y/n: You okay?
She coughs more and looks up at the sky
bsf: the water went up my nossseeee
I laugh and so do the boys. If one thing hurts, it's getting water up your nose. Especially the super salty ocean water.
bsf: it burnssss
I begin to wheeze. She looked ridiculous.
Around 2 minutes later, she's better and looks back down
bsf: Okay let's go
My laughing slows down and we continue playing.
Y/n: Oh wait I forgot!
Ethan: What's wrong?
Y/n: I'm taking you guys bowling tonight
Daniel smiles big
Daniel: Really?? Thank you!!
I nod
Y/n: Yeah yeah okay come on let's keep going
LOUIS POV
I looked up at y/n's alarm and quickly got off her bed.
Louis: Fuck she's probably wondering where I am
I shut the journal and stare at it for a moment. I give it a long hug and kiss the cover.
Louis: I really hope she likes this...
I open the box and set the journal on top of the other things.
Louis: I love you y/n, please don't ever forget me... we will meet again
I re-tape the box and quickly leave her room as I run back down to the beach.
Y/N POV
I finally saw Louis running over to us. He waves and takes off his shirt. He throws it onto a chair and sprints into the water.
Louis: HOLY SHIT ITS COLD
I laugh at him and give him a hug as he gets in.
Y/n: No your just a baby
He smiles
Louis: Nooo
I nod and make room in the circle for him.
Y/n: Yessss
Louis rolls his eyes and kisses me
Louis: Okay whatever you say
We all spend around one more hour, playing catch, and body surfing over the waves. And for once all night, I forgot about tomorrow.
