"About what...?", I tilt my head, what is she going to say?

"About yesterday, I—"

I don't want to hear it

"There's nothing to talk about", I interrupt her

She narrows her eyes, "Look, if you're going to be a bitch about this, you could have just texted me"

I gasp, "I'm being a bitch?

Allison crosses her arms

"You're the one who embarrassed me in front of the whole school yesterday!", I yell, thank god no one is around to hear

"That's why I'm apologizing!", she yells back, uncrossing her arms

I roll my eyes

"I don't want to hear it", I cross my arms, "We're not friends anymore, right?"

"Why does that matter? We don't have to be friends for me to apologize", she answers

"Whatever", I walk away, this conversation was pointless, what was so "serious"? All she did was "apologize", I'm not forgiving her

I spot Joey parking his car, he gets out and walks towards me, suddenly I feel calmer

Nobody's uplifted my mood as he has, I guess that's what makes him different than everyone else

"Hey", Joey smiles

I smile, "Good morning"

We walk to the lockers and he is pretty close to mine, I grab my textbooks and wait for the bell to ring

I hold onto my books and close my locker, they're pretty heavy and they end up falling on the ground, I kneel to pick them up

"Let me help you", I hear a familiar voice

I look up, Joey's hand and mine touch as we pick up the same book, our eyes meet and lock

I want to look into his eyes forever...I don't know why I feel like that about him, we're just friends

"Thanks for the help", I look down and he hands me the other book

We get up and I laugh

I turn around and notice Allison walking to class, she spots Joey and me laughing, she shakes her head as if she's disapproving of something

What was that for?

The hallways start to get crowded, that's when I decide to start getting to class, the door is open and Joey lets me walk in first

I sit in the front row and Joey sits in the seat behind me, the teacher walks in and takes attendance

Lunchtime arrives and I start to feel anxious. I hope that nobody remembers what happened yesterday

I walk by myself to the cafeteria, everyone else is in groups walking to lunch and I automatically feel like a loner

Allison and Tessa are paying for lunch as I wait in line behind them, I forgot to pack my lunch earlier

They walk to their table and I pay for my meal. I look around and notice that most tables are full

I hate eating alone but for some reason, I don't seem to mind today. Tessa and Ally are eyeing me from across the room.

Their table is full like how it was yesterday with the same people.

Joey doesn't seem to be here, I wonder where he is. He's usually always here, I don't know why he would miss lunch.

Allison whispers something in Tessa's ear, they both giggle.

I roll my eyes

Joey's pov

Class is dismissed and it's time for lunch, everyone rushes out the door as I take my time to pack up my stuff

I decide to head to the bathroom, I drank a whole water bottle this morning, I should have just gone to the bathroom earlier because now I'm going to be late for lunch

As I walk to the bathroom I notice Brandon, one of my friends, heading the same direction

I wave and go to the stall to pee, I finish doing my business and make my way to lunch

Brandon shouts my name from a distance, I turn around and he starts running towards me

"Bro", he smiles, "You going to Zach's party this Friday?"

"There's a party this week?", I ask

"Yeah man, everyone's invited, the whole school. We even got the freshman going", he smirks

I act surprised

"I mean", I pause

Brandon seems excited to go, I feel bad if I say no, I mean we always go to every party together, its kind of our thing

"Yeah I'll go", I smile

"Awesome!", he high fives me

"You taking anybody to the party?", he asks

"What do you mean?"

"That chick that you're always with, Lauren, you taking her?", Brandon says

"Lauren Davidson?"

He nods

How does he know her? And she doesn't even know there's a party going on this Friday, it would just be wrong if I answered for her

I mean I haven't even asked her if she was down to go

"You know her?", I raise an eyebrow

"Of course I do, she's that chick we talked about a couple of weeks ago", he continues, "Remember when we talked about which girl in this school would be the best in bed and we bet on it to see if you'd be able to get in her pants?"

I roll my eyes, how could I possibly forget? That conversation was before I got to know Lauren, now that I think about it, I wouldn't dare to do that.

Why could I possibly be so stupid and agree to it? I take back what I said. Now that I got to know her, that wouldn't be the reason why I would get with her.

Not for some stupid dare or bet
